It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means! It’s time to link up with Erika, Andrea, and Narci to let everybody know what some of my favorite things are right now!

A GREAT NEW JACKET
Let’s kick things off today with a great new jacket! It will be good with jeans, but it’s GREAT with leggings. It’s got give, it gives a layer of warmth, and it covers the hiney.
AND YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BELIEVE the price. I used to have a Nike jacket like this (that was around $130 or $145), but I dropped something on it and stained it. Broke my heart because I loved that jacket. BUT Y’ALL! This one is just as good.
It comes in 4 colors, but I went with the light heather grey. I like the longer length, the rounded hem, the black piping, the zippered pockets, the functional hood, I LOVE ALL OF IT. It has a bit of stretch and it’s machine washable.
It’s soooooooooooooo good.
I’m wearing a medium in the jacket and the tee (to make sure they were plenty long for leggings – I think a small might have been fine in the jacket because it’s VERY roomy), a small in the leggings, and I sized down a 1/2 in the sneakers.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND all of the pieces I’m wearing. SERIOUSLY, TRUST ME ON THIS.
jacket / split hem tunic / cropped leggings / mesh sneakers ( 06702 Black )
I wore this get up the first time last week, but I’ve worn it a couple of times since then. Do y’all do that? I get a favorite new item, and then I wear it again and again. On this particular day, I hopped over to Shay’s house to walk Yankee when Andrew was in surgery. THIS PUPPY IS CUTE. #donttellmypuppies

A KENDRA SCOTT CODE!
I announced last week that I’m one of the newest Kendra Scott brand ambassadors, and y’alls excitement for me has been so sweet. THANK YOU! I’m thrilled to be partnering with them, and I’m super excited to share that they’ve given me a code to share with y’all to kick off this partnership.
The code SHEAFFER20 will get you 20% OFF your Kendra purchase (+ FREE SHIPPING)! Fine jewelry is excluded.
Over the years, you’ve seen me wear countless Kendra pieces, and I’ve built quite the little collection. Her jewelry is timeless and classic, and you should definitely take advantage of the code to pick up some new pieces of your own!
Some of the pieces below were gifted to me by the Kendra team, but some of them I’ve purchased for myself over the last several years. And there are also a couple of pieces that I treated myself to just to celebrate the ambassadorship! Haha!
dainty pendant necklace / drusy necklace / statement hoops / colorful hoops / faceted abalone earrings / drusy heart necklace
hot pink earrings / turquoise earrings / rose quartz faceted earrings / drop earrings /
colorful wrap bracelet / love knot earrings
These statement hoops are light as a feather, but they manage to still make quite a statement because of their size.
cable sweater / sunglasses / statement hoops
The faceted abalone earrings are STUNNING.
I used to not be able to wear the Danielle size earrings from Kendra Scott, but they’ve done something to them to decrease their weight, and I can now wear them all day long. I love that the size makes such a statement and this abalone stone is absolutely beautiful. They look great with this cream sweater, and I’ve also worn them with black, with green, with blue, and with blush. In fact, my favorite color to pair them with is blush because you really start to notice to notice the blush colored veining throughout.
ivory sweater / sunglasses / faceted abalone earrings
And I always love a great bracelet stack.
rue cuff bracelet / cuff bracelets
ivory sweater / cross body bag / jeans / leopard booties

ANOTHER RANCH TRIP
Our family went to the ranch again last weekend, and it was such a nice and relaxing time together. I didn’t take any pictures, but Carter had Chris take him to get these shots for a class project he is doing on erosion.
He was so proud to show them to the class.

WHAT I’VE BEEN WEARING
I just grabbed this cardi last week, and now it’s ON SALE! It’s very lightweight and oversized. I’m wearing a small, but I think an x-small would be even better.
And remember, you can get 20% OFF the heart necklace and the love knot earrings with the code SHEAFFER20. Both pieces have been on repeat, and you can still get them in time for Valentine’s Day delivery!
striped cardi / drusy heart necklace / love knot earrings / white tee / jeans / flat leopard booties
I wore this exact same outfit at the ranch a couple of weekends ago (and already showed it to you), but here we are again. What can I say, I’m wearing it a lot.
For size reference, I’m wearing a medium in the sweatshirt, a small in the leggings, and I recommend sizing down a 1/2 in the sneakers.
Adidas sweatshirt / huggie earrings / Under Armour leggings / mesh sneakers ( 06702 Black )
This hoodie is new and oohhhhhhhhhemmmmmmmmgeeeeeeee is it cozy! It’s lightweight, but still manages to be very warm. The body is lined with faux shearling, but the sleeves aren’t which keeps it from looking too bulky. It’s super super soft, and I’m so happy to have it!
faux shearling lined hoodie / white tee / huggie earrings / drusy heart necklace / jeans / mesh sneakers (apricot)
Check out the soft lining.
faux shearling lined hoodie / white tee / huggie earrings / drusy heart necklace / jeans / mesh sneakers (apricot)
And check out the camo version with the pop of pink! It’s DARLING!
Do y’all remember my Amazon puffer I got right before my girl’s trip to Boston? Well, I still love it.
It’s warm, it’s water resistant, the pockets are deep, and it covers my bum! The quality is awesome, and the price is INCREDIBLE!!! This jacket also comes in grey and navy.
I got a medium, but if I didn’t need room in the chest, I probably could have stuck with a small.
Amazon puffer jacket / faux shearling lined hoodie / white tee / huggie earrings / drusy heart necklace / jeans / mesh sneakers (apricot)
Here’s the Kelly green sweater you first saw me wearing in this post. I’m wearing it more casually here with my Converse and colorful Kendra Scott hoops (use the code SHEAFFER20).
cable sweater / jeans / colorful hoops /colorful wrap bracelet / shoreline converse
cable sweater / jeans / colorful hoops /colorful wrap bracelet / shoreline converse
Click HERE to see the post where I initially highlighted this sweater (with my favorite boot cut jeans) that is NOW ON SALE.
I would normally buy a medium in a sweater like this, but I followed the recommendation to size down and I’m glad I did. I despise clingy sweaters, and the small isn’t clingy, but it is fitted more than relaxed. I have so many relaxed sweaters in my closet, I’m glad to have some fitted options as well. (If you would prefer a v-neck sweater, you can click HERE. The v-neck version is 50% OFF!)
Use the code BUILDABAG to get the bag strap for ONLY $18 (reg. $30)!
fuschia cashmere sweater/ bag strap / statement hoops / drusy heart necklace / jeans / leopard sneakers
And again, don’t forget to use the code SHEAFFER20 for 20% OFF the earrings and necklace.
fuschia cashmere sweater/ bag strap / statement hoops / drusy heart necklace / jeans / leopard sneakers
This sweater is a heavy knit with drop shoulders. It’s super cute, and it’s from Amazon!
It’s not super soft, but it’s also not at all itchy. And it’s definitely cute enough to keep even though I can’t scream about how soft it is.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
And once again, remember to use the code SHEAFFER20 for 20% OFF the earrings and the necklace.
rainbow sweater / statement hoops /drusy heart necklace/ jeans /neutral booties ON SALE
And I can’t stop wearing this combo.
Yes…these are the joggers that I’ve been screaming and shouting about for a couple of months now, and I can confidently say I love them even more now than when I first got them. They wash beautifully and still look brand new. They are heavier than the other ones I own, and I love the closer fit and how these are higher-waisted. They aren’t as baggy as my other joggers either, and I feel like they are very flattering.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Some reviewers complained of a chemical smell, and lots of you have asked me about it, but mine don’t smell AT ALL. Other readers have chimed in and said the same thing. They must have fixed the issue! For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the joggers.
This hoodie is my idea of a perfect basic. The quality is amazing and I think it’s a total steal at $35. You will reach for this over and over.
It’s soooooooooooooo soft on the inside because it’s lined with some super soft blush fleece. I love the stripes, and it comes in 2 other stripe colorways and 6 solid colors too.
This is one of those tops that many of you will love so much that you will grab in at least 1 more color.
I’m wearing a small here and it’s fine, but if I order a 2nd color (thinking about the grey stripes), I’ll order a medium for a more relaxed fit.
striped hoodie / must have earrings / joggers /mesh sneakers ( 06702 Black )
This is the split hem tunic tee I first showed you in black a couple of months ago. Click HERE if you want to see it on me in black with wine colored leggings.
If you wear leggings, this split hem tunic tee is something you need in your closet. It’s soft, it skims the body (but doesn’t hug it at all), and it covers the booty! I sized up to a medium so it would be long enough for leggings. If I was going to only wear it with jeans (it would be great with jeans and a cardi), I would have stuck with a small.
I’m wearing a small in the leggings and a medium in the tunic tee.
Readers LOVES this tee too, and last month I told you I was going to grab the grey too. Well, here it is!

The PE AWARD
This little fella won the P.E. Award for 5th grade for January! He’s won several awards during his time at McClure, but this was his first p.e. award. We were so proud of him, as always.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Okay, y’all. I feel terrible about this….but I recommended two items on my Spring collage on Monday morning that I ended up not recommending by Monday afternoon.
I highlighted the lavender cardigan and the light washed jeans on Monday’s post (see both in the picture below) but when I tried to style them Monday afternoon right after the sweater arrived, I realized that there were issues with both of them.
The sweater snagged SUPER easily. Way too easy to be practical.
And the jeans, although they fit well and I loved the light wash, the extreme darkness across the zipper was incredibly distracting and I didn’t like how it looked at all. So, I updated the post on Monday at about 1:30 to let everybody know that I no longer recommended the pieces. SO SORRY about that y’all! It’s possible that not all of the jeans have the dark zipper, but I’m just not sure.
You can see in the picture below that they sure were cute all styled up, but the issues were too big for me to justify keeping them. If you did order these pieces already, I’m so sorry, and I’m so thankful for Nordstrom’s FREE shipping and returns.

COLLEEN ROTHSCHILD PRODUCTS AND VALENTINE’S DAY DEALS
I know you all know that I’m officially obsessed with just about every single Colleen Rothschild product that I’ve tried over the years. My a.m. and p.m. skincare routine is made up exclusively of her products. Last year I even did a post titled Colleen Rothschild Told Me To.
I’ll always be sure to share with you when she has a site wide sale, but right now she has some special introductory offers and Valentine’s Day Deals!
Let’s start off with her newest products that just launched this week! Below you will see a bundle that includes a creamy oil body wash, a body scrub, and a body butter. All 3 products are full size and a $106 value, but the introductory price for this bundle is $79! Hop over to the site to read about these products, but be prepared to have to have them after you do. My bundle arrived yesterday, and I’m in love. I love the smell (I’m very picky about scents) and my gosh all of the products are so hydrating! Chris even noticed that I smelled great and commented on it as well as my soft skin. SERIOUSLY. #truestory
Now let’s talk about these Glycolic Acid Peel Pads because they are BACK IN STOCK! I just added these into my weekly routine last month, and I think they are REALLY great. They sold out so quickly when they were first launched, so I’m thrilled they restocked them so fast. PEOPLE LOVE THEM.
So, what are they? Remember the stridex pads we all used as teenagers? Well these are the new and much improved version!
We’re talking a spa-strength treatment formula that helps to help dissolve skin-clogging dirt and debris. And listen to this… you skin’s natural renewal process will be enhanced as a result of the 10 percent blend of The Glycolic and Lactic Acids in the pads. They target fine lines, hyperpigmentation and imperfections and will reveal a fresher, brighter, more even complexion. YES, PLEASE!
I’m ALL ABOUT brighter skin and these really deliver! They are large, so I sweep the pad all over my face, neck, and chest. Since these are still relatively new to my routine, I’m excited to see what the results will be after long term use. There are 60 pads per order, and I’m only using one of these every several days, so they should last between 2-3 months.
Glycolic Acid Peel Pads – I’m actually linking the introductory offer, because for just $4 more you also get to try the Extreme Recovery Cream and Face Oil #9.
I use many of her products daily (so do my mom, my sister, and several of my friends), and I think everybody knows by now that this is my ride or die product that I shall never live without. And up until now, the Dual Enzyme Polish was one of my other Top 3 products as well.
FOR VALENTINE’S DAY, THEY BROUGHT BACK THE LITTLE COMBO PACK WITH THE TONER! AND Y’ALL, this new product duo blows the Dual Enzyme Polish out of the water for me! And that’s saying something, because I truly love the Dual Enzyme Polish.
Let’s start with the Micro-Mineral Resurfacing Scrub. If you’re like me and don’t do professional microdermabrasion, this is a great alternative for you! I know it is for me! Do you see those little pink particles in the product? They must be magical unicorn horn dust because my skin has never felt so soft. After 1 use, I walked into the family room and insisted Chris rub my cheek. He was seriously impressed too and was like, “WOW. That IS soft.” And that’s when I texted my CR peeps, asked if we could hop on a call, and then asked if we could partner together for this part of today’s post. Because all of you need to know about these new products.
The pink particles feel like really tiny bits of very fine sand, but apparently it’s rose quartz combined with additional mineral nutrients to gently exfoliate and even skin texture. I mean, MAYBE. But I’m pretty sure that unicorn dust is in there somewhere. Right after cleansing with the cleansing balm, I pat my face dry, and then apply a small amount of the scrub in circular motions on my face. I don’t press hard, but I do lots of circular motions all over, and then I rinse with water and then pat dry again. And POOF. Baby soft skin. Correction…baby soft skin with improved brightness. Ladies. It’s soooooooooooooo good. It’s right up there with the cleansing balm!!!!!
Then I apply the Micro-Mineral Smoothing Toner. It’s different than any toner I’ve ever used before, and it doesn’t dry me out or leave my skin feeling tight like all other toners. It’s thicker and creamier, almost lotion like. It further softens and conditions the skin, leaving it balanced and ready for the next step in your skin care routine.
And as mentioned, for a limited time, they’ve brought back a really great version of their incredible introductory offer.
The Micro Mineral Soothing Toner is regularly $36 and the Micro Mineral Resurfacing Scrub is Regularly $60, and they are giving you both right now for ONLY $68!
Click HERE for this incredible offer. Oh, and there’s FREE SHIPPING too.
And because it’s on SUPER SALE, let’s talk about the Cocoa Bean Cleansing Balm too. It’s normally $65 and it’s on sale right now for ONLY $32!
The first thing you need to know is that it smells delicious. Using it is an absolute treat, and I truly love the experience and how it makes my skin feel. Now, taking it off is messy because it’s brown, but it just takes a little bit more time. The experience is so great, you just might think it’s worth it, especially at this price.
And you might want to go ahead and check out all of their Valentine’s Day Specials! My mom swears by the hand cream, and it’s ONLY $14 right now!

A FAVORITE TOOL
Y’all have no idea how much this ground meat chopper will change your meat chopping game. A regular spatula is soooooooooooo 2018.
I first heard about this handy dandy little tool from Erika sometime last year. I bought it immediately, and I fell in love immediately, but I’m just now getting around to putting it on the blog. This tool will blow your mind, and I’m not even being dramatic. Get one.

BACHELOR
LADIES. I am so sorry, but I just didn’t have it in me. I watched the whole show…I even jotted down some thoughts….but they weren’t funny. I tried to make them funny on several different occasions throughout the day, but I just couldn’t get there. So I’m sorry to say, I don’t have any new Bachelor thoughts for you today. I bought the new CR lotion too and love it!!! It smells like summer in a bottle.
Erika Slaughter says
Ground meat chopper fans unite!!! ??? It’s one of my FAVORITE things!
Kelly Henderson says
No lie, I literally went to Target on my way home after reading about this on your blog several years ago. GAME CHANGER!
Betsy says
I love the Amazon tee and wear it often. I so wish they had more colors!
Leah Garry says
What is your overall feeling on this Bachelor season? Maybe the post couldn’t come together for you b/c you aren’t feeling this season? I personally am not a fan. Disappointing season. No romance. Just drama. The dates are all strange. Everything seems more over-produced and fake. Over it.
Sheaffer says
Hi, Leah! I’m definitely not loving it, so I’m sure that negatively impacts my writing mojo. Such a weird season.
Deena says
I’m with you. The only thing I was happy about Wednesday’s episode was that there’s not much time left this season. I don’t know why I’m still watching.
Dawn says
Totally agree. I did my budget during the episode and hardly looked up once. It’s cringeworthy.
Sheri says
Thanks so much for the code for the bag straps! I just got 2, shipped for $40 total!! So excited!
Laurie S says
I love the first jacket… I may need to get it. Have a great weekend!
Kelley says
Just wanted to say thank you for all you do! You have great style, and are definitely a great help to us who are a bit fashion challenged. Have a great weekend!
Sheaffer says
Thank you so much, Kelley! So sweet for you to take the time to leave such a kind comment! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Amanda says
I have a tiny wrist- do you think the colorful double wrap Kendra Scott bracelet would fit?
Sheaffer says
Hi, Amanda! My wrist is almost 6 1/2″, and it’s great on me. And there would definitely be some give either way to still look great! xoxo
