BEST OF THE NORDSTROM SALE
Nordstrom has their annual SPRING SALE happening right now, and there are lots of amazing deals to be scored! I sorted through hundreds of sale items and have some of the best of the best to share with you right now…
This turquoise star necklace from Kendra Scott is 40% OFF, making it under $30! Such a great necklace for summer.
I’m in love with this Kendra Scott necklace. It’s dainty, great on it’s own and for layering, and it’s 40% OFF!
The famous Drybar round brush is 15% OFF.
My mascara primer (the best there is) is ON SALE.
My brow pencil that I absolutely swear by is 15% OFF. I wish I would have started using this years ago, it makes SUCH a difference.
I’ve heard great things about this drying lotion for pimples, and right now it’s ONLY $14.45.
This puff sleeve sweatshirt is adorable. Now, listen. You need to know you’re getting something BOLD when you order this. Not only is the color bold, but so is the print and the style. I’m wearing a medium in the picture below because I needed the room in the chest, but the medium was too big for me across the shoulders. See in the picture below how the shoulder seams hang down too low on me. If I didn’t need the medium across the chest, I think I would have loved this sweatshirt because the shoulders would have fit me better.
And get this, it’s 55% OFF making it ONLY $17.55!!! WOW!
This knit hoodie comes in 4 colored striped options as well as several solid colors too. It’s a very soft cotton blend that is lightweight but still manages to be cozy. I like it here with jeans, but I’ll be wearing it with joggers as well. It will also be perfect with white jeans and denim shorts. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. It’s got a narrow fit, so consider that when deciding on your size. At 40% OFF, this great hoodie is under $30!
This tie dye sweatshirt is another great top to pair with the joggers. It’s ON SALE too and comes in several colorways. It’s called a sweatshirt, but it feels like more of a really thick jersey to me because it has some stretch in it. Whatever it is, it’s super comfy. Oh wait, I just looked at the fabric content, and it’s 95% cotton and 5% spandex, which accounts for the give. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
Here’s the deal…Y’all know during the summer I’m always wearing Supergoop Glow Screen and using my Magic Cream and Isle of Paradise tanning drops (I use the green). Click HERE if you want to read more about the Magic Cream / tanning drop combo, because it gives my face the perfect self tan for spring and summer.
However, during the fall and winter AND even during spring and summer when I want a full makeup look, I use the It Cosmetics CC+ Cream and right now it’s ON SALE! For years, I had gotten away from using full coverage foundations because I always found them to be drying and to look cakey. WELL, NOT THIS ONE!
When applying, a little product goes a long way. I dab a couple of dots on my forehead, a couple on each cheek, and one on my nose and my chin. It gives amazing coverage, but it’s not too heavy or cakey at all! It just seems to blur out all sorts of imperfections and give a really pretty finish.
And although I’ve linked the CC+ Cream to Nordstrom here, there’s a Friends and Family Sale going down on the It Cosmetics site, so click HERE if you want to hop over to my very thorough It Cosmetics review.
SHORTS ARE BACK!!!
I just posted about these shorts with pics of me in them for the first time on Wednesday, and the size 4 and the size 6 had sold out by the end of the day. BUT THEY GOT A RESTOCK! More on the shorts in a minute.
This tee is SO GOOD. It comes in several colors and stripes and is under $16. It’s 100% cotton and excellent quality. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
These frayed hem shorts have the very popular 4″ inseam! Not too long….not too short…JUST RIGHT. They are super casual with the lighter wash and the frayed hem, and I’ll be adding these into my shorts rotation this summer. My other shorts will be so happy to have a break. They also have the stretchy waistband and the Ab Solution panels that we all love and adore.
Now, let’s talk sizing. With Wit and Wisdom jeans I typically go with my regular size 4, but I sometimes size down (not often). I do know that some readers consistently size down when buying Wit and Wisdom (even though I don’t).
Well, I SIZED UP IN THESE! I’m wearing a 6. When I pulled the size 4 shorts out of the box, I knew immediately they were going to be too small on me. I think just about everybody will need to SIZE UP, and I’ve now had readers confirm that they sized up as well.
Did y’all see my beauty review post on Monday? Somehow, this picture was left out. #mybad
I. LOVE. THIS. HAIRSPRAY.
The strong hold gives my hair some staying power, but it’s still not too stiff or aggressive as far as the hold goes. It’s the perfect hairspray for me.
HUGE LOFT SALE THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT
This is big, y’all. Listen up!
Loft is having a HUGE sale. We’re talking 40% OFF with FREE SHIPPING! AND if you buy 3 items, you’ll get an additional 15% OFF your cart price as well. WHOAH. So, in honor of the sale, I have tons of great LOFT items to show you. The sale ends SATURDAY NIGHT, so don’t delay! And listen, if you are going to shop it, you for sure need to buy at least 3 items to take advantage of all the savings.
This sweater is so great that I’m showing it in both a solid and in a stripe.
It’s soooooooo soft, it’s got a great relaxed fit, and it’s a great weight for spring days and cool summer nights and mornings. And I’m not the only who loves it, it has fantastic reviews and it just feels great on. I’m showing it today with white jeans (styled 2 ways) and regular denim. But it’s actually nice enough that you could totally style it with work slacks too. Notice how the sleeves are kind of blousy up top, but more fitted on the bottom, so even though the sweater is oversized, it doesn’t look sloppy.
I’m in love with this “rosy grapefruit” color.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small and it’s still plenty roomy. I tried the x-small too, and although it fit, I liked the extra slouchy fit of the small.
If you want a full review of the white jeans and to see them styled in 10 outfits, click HERE.
And here with my straight legged jeans and my fun bag and strap from Social Threads.
Here’s the sweater styled 3 ways…
And then I wore it to the mall like this…
Because I can’t quit this sweater.
Here’s the same sweater, in one of the striped versions. It also comes in a peach stripe and an electric yellow stripe, but I opted for the classic navy and white stripe.
Seriously, y’all won’t believe how soft these are until you try one for yourself. Again, I’m wearing a small and it’s still plenty oversized.
I love a lightweight sweater with denim shorts. I wear this outfit formula a lot in the spring.
Here’s the sweater styled 2 ways…
Do y’all remember this blouse from earlier this month? It doesn’t have great reviews on the site, but I think it’s awesome. It looks like a very nice blouse, but it’s actually a super soft polished t-shirt material (60% cotton, 40% modal) which makes me love it even more. Ruffled at the neck, smocked at the yoke, and puffed at the sleeves, what’s not to love. It’s got a nice relaxed fit, and I really like that the sleeves have elasticized cuffs. This is a great top. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
It will look good with regular denim, but I think it looks FANTASTIC with white jeans.
I’ve got some more LOFT items to show you that I tried on in store on my last trip to the mall. This flutter sleeve peplum isn’t great on my build (I already have broad shoulders and think this just highlights that), but the top is adorable and I know it will be great on so many of you! The peplum and the stitching details are darling.
This medallion split neck top is going to be one of the tops I’m constantly reaching for this summer. And it’s going to be so cute on July 4th! Love the cap sleeves, love the split neck, and love the pattern. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
I have 2 of these exact some jogger sets from years past. One in grey, and one in a dark burgundy. They are crazy stupid soft and they launder so well. I’m loving this “heathered wheat” for lounging in spring and even summer. For size reference, I’m wearing a small in both pieces.
I showed y’all on Wednesday, but I’m showing you again today just in case you are just now shopping the sale. I wore this set two nights in a row, I washed it, and then I wore it two more nights in a row. And then I washed it. And then I wore it all day long the next day.
NO SHAME Y’ALL.
I might be wearing it again right now as I type this. #allegedly
I’m wearing a small in both the sweatshirt and the shorts, and they are both a relaxed fit. I normally would order a medium in pajamas because I like plenty o’ room in my pajamas, but the smalls had plenty of room for me, so definitely don’t order up.
This set is pricey, but it’s sooooo worth it at 40% OFF (and then an additional 15% OFF if you buy one more thing)! GRAB IT NOW! It also comes in a blue and white combo, but I want to mention that the colors in my pic below aren’t very representative of the real colors. The colors are much more vibrant in real life, and much closer to what you see on the site.
Check out this striped sweater. I absolutely love the colors and the overall design, I’m just not sure about the fit. It’s boxy and oversized, which y’all know I don’t mind, but it also has wide sleeves. I can’t decide if the boxy fit and the wide sleeves make it too sloppy or not? I don’t know, what do y’all think? I mean, the colors and stripes are dreamy.
STYLE IT AGAIN, SHEAFFER
I’ve got several tops for you today that I’ve styled in several different ways. I showed y’all this first outfit on Wednesday.
I seem to always been drawn to peplum tops. This one has tiers too! I’m wearing the “khaki”, but it comes in several colors. For size reference, I’m wearing a small. Pairing it with the fun bag and black sandals was a no brainer.
But then I switched it up just a tiny bit with my $15 camo sandals. They are FANTASTIC. If you are a 1/2 size, size up to the next whole size.
And then I tried an all neutral look by pairing it with white jeans.
Here it is styled 3 ways…
This henley pullover is a great Amazon find. I don’t even understand the price, because depending on the size and color it’s between $9-$12 right now. And this is a really quality item. It’s heavier weight than just a tee ( 58% Cotton, 39% Modal, 3% Spandex ), and it launders perfectly. I’m wearing a small, and it’s still quite oversized.
It looks great with both denim shorts and these white jeans.
This floral puff sleeve top arrived on Tuesday of this week, but the top sold out when I posted it on Wednesday. BOO! So, we won’t talk about the top today, but I did want to go ahead and post some additional ways to style it for those of you that grabbed it on Wednesday.
It’s a really great look with the black shorts and sandals.
And I of course had to give it a try with my white jeans too.
Here’s the $35 striped tunic tee one of the first times you saw it. This is the type of top that my mom will buy in at least 2 colors. It’s a substantial fabric, it’s got some give to it, and she really prefers the longer length. I’ll wear it with a half tuck, but my mom will wear it out and love the added length. For size reference, I’m wearing a small. It also comes in a navy stripe and a pale blue stripe.
With straight legged jeans and my camo sandals…
And with my denim shorts…
A GREAT T-SHIRT DRESS
One of my most worn outfit formulas in the spring has got to be a t-shirt dress with a denim jacket. This is a fun little dress that’s perfect paired with a denim jacket. On the left you’ll see I’m wearing brown sandals, but I think it looks so much better with the neutral patent sandals on the right. The brown ones seem to heavy for this look.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the dress and the jacket. Size up 1/2 for sandals on the left, sandals on right are true to size.

And for the most important Friday Favorite by far….
This weekend we celebrate the fact that Jesus loved us so much that he laid down his life for us. We celebrate that Jesus, perfect in every way, paid the price for all of our sins. We celebrate the fact that 3 days later he rose from the dead as our personal Savior!
I know Easter might still look a little bit different for some this year, but the meaning of Easter remains true. If you are struggling with life right now, you need to know that he did this for YOU. That He loves YOU. That he desires to have a personal relationship with YOU.
It is my hope this Easter weekend that we all feel the love that God has for each of us. Let’s celebrate His love and our redemption!
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16
Have a wonderful weekend with your people! See you back here on Monday!
