A great pair of white jeans is hard to find.
And I should know, because MY WORD I’ve searched high and low.
Over the last several years, I’ve only had 1 pair that I’ve loved, but they discontinued them back in 2019. I haven’t even talked about white jeans for the last couple of years because the ones I loved and was still wearing had already been discontinued. And although I had of course looked for new ones to share on the blog during those years, I was never able to find a new pair that I was excited to recommend.
This year I needed a new pair for myself (my Articles of Society white jeans were finally worn out), and I knew y’all were interested in a great pair for yourselves as well.
I was totally committed to finding a pair that we would all love.
Sooooo… over the past couple of months, I ordered around 10 pairs.
Let’s just call it research. I’m basically a scientist.
I tried several different retailers (Nordstrom, Target, J Crew, and Loft) and several different styles. And y’all, none of them were what I was looking for. In fact, most of them were terrible on me.
BUT THEN THESE ARRIVED. And alllllll my white jean dreams came true.
As a result of my exhaustive search, I’ve got a FANTASTIC pair of white jeans to share today! And along with the jeans, I’m showing 10 different ways to style them. Go ahead and bookmark this post and just refer to it all spring and summer long.
Before we get started, I want to give you a heads up that Nordstrom is having their BONUS POINT EVENT right now thru March 21st. Members earn 5 POINTS per dollar right now and cardmembers earn 10 POINTS PER DOLLAR!
White jeans pair perfectly with a great chambray shirt, and this is a great chambray shirt. It’s 100% cotton, very soft, and not stiff at all like so many chambray shirts I’ve tried in the past. The arms are cut on the slim side, so if you sometimes have trouble with arm fit, keep that in mind. I really like the fit because it feels feminine and not at all boxy. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium which is true to size for me in a button up top.
Now let’s talk about the jeans.
As I shared when I first showed y’all these on Monday, when I went to grab the link for these jeans I realized they are actually called “ankle skinny pants”. However, I totally think of them as just super soft and awesome white jeans. Now that I see that they aren’t called jeans, I get it, because they are SO DANG SOFT and stretchy….but I really do think of them as jeans and will style them like they are jeans. They are 53% cotton, 29% polyester, 15% rayon, and 3% spandex. I think there must be at least 5% unicorn dust in them too because they’re just that good.
These jeans are really stretchy, very slimming, and incredibly comfortable. I love the white button and the little side slits at the ankle. They aren’t see thru, but I of course still recommend wearing nude undies. They actually come in 8 colors, and I predict that some of you will like the fit and comfort so much that you will end up ordering them in at least 1 more color.
Now, full disclosure, you can see the pockets in them just a bit. This is usually a deal breaker for me with white jeans, but for some reason it’s not for me with these jeans. I’ve decided that I actually prefer to see the pockets a bit over having white jeans with fake pockets. I really don’t like fake pockets. If they bother you, a quick trip to a tailor could fix this if you just ask them to hem the pockets shorter, but they don’t bother me enough to warrant the alteration.
Let’s talk sizing. I normally size up in white jeans and go for a size 6. The size 4 in these are perfect for me, which is my regular size in regular denim, so that makes sizing a bit confusing. Size 4 is my normal size, but I often order a 6 in white jeans, and the size 4 is perfect for me in these. To sum it up, these do run a bit big, so you might consider sizing down from the size you normally get in white jeans.
I took this picture so you could see the outline of the pocket (look on the right hand side of the picture), but hopefully you will agree that the pockets aren’t too aggressive or distracting.
I showed these dark bourbon leather buckle sandals (on the left) to you in a flat lay last week where I highlighted 4 pairs of Sam Edelman sandals. I told y’all that I had to decided to keep a different pair – the embellished slide sandals (on the right), but I have to say… I might be changing my mind. I’m realizing that the buckle sandals are more comfortable (they aren’t as stiff as the embellished slides), and I really do like the look. I’m in my regular size 6 1/2, but I need to size up a 1/2 in both of them.
Which do y’all like better? I can’t decide!
This bracelet set is DARLING. It’s a stack of 3, and it combines colorful discs and navy discs with large matte gold beads. I ordered the pink set also, but one of the bracelets was quite a bit larger than the others, so back it went.
It’s worth mentioning again here that I LOVE THESE JEANS.
This yellow floral blouse is so feminine and pretty! The pattern is adorable, I love the yellow white and pink combo, and the peplum hem and gathered sleeves make the top. It’s totally made for white jeans. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
This striped tunic tee is a fantastic value for only $35. This is the type of top that my mom will buy in at least 2 colors. It’s a substantial fabric, it’s got some give to it, and she really prefers the longer length. I’ll wear it with a half tuck, but my mom will wear it out and love the added length. For size reference, I’m wearing a small. It also comes in a navy stripe and a pale blue stripe.
I mean, I laughed out loud when I first saw this fabulous Not My First Rodeo tee. I’ve said this phrase several times as a parent, and I remember the first time I used it that a young Carter looking at me like HUH? I’ll definitely be wearing it with my favorite denim shorts, and I think it will be cute with regular denim and my stretchy camo pants as well. It will also be cute layered under a denim jacket or a military jacket.
My $25 camo sneakers were one of the Top 5 items purchased from the blog in February. The camo pattern is now sold out, but there are a couple of other patterns still available.
Here’s another up close shot of the jeans. I think they are pretty dang near perfect.
I ordered this striped poncho sweater when I saw it online without having seen or touched it in person, so I was totally pumped when I received it and realized HOW CRAZY SOFT it is. Like seriously y’all, it’s SO SOFT. It also comes in a navy/white stripe and an electric yellow/white stripe. AND it comes in solid colors HERE.
I like this sweater so much that I purchased it for myself in the navy/white stripe as well as the solid “rosy grapefruit”. These are pieces that I will the heck out of. I’ll wear them with regular jeans, with white jeans, and with denim cut offs. I can’t decide if I’m going to keep the color combo below, but I’m definitely keeping the other 2 that I grabbed. For size reference, I’m wearing a small, and it’s still a very relaxed fit. Slouchy and perfectly relaxed actually, but not sloppy at all. If you want it a bit more fitted, I would suggest sizing down.
This outfit is simple and the same formula can be used with tons of different color tees and tons of different color cardigans. Off the top of my head, I’ll also be wearing it with a grey tee and a blush cardigan. I’m wearing a medium in the tee and a small in the cardi. The cardi is really soft and lays very nicely. It’s a great Amazon find.
This tie dye tee is SO. MUCH. FUN. I love the fit, and it’s crazy soft as well. This color combo is awesome, but it comes in several other combos and I love the navy blue and green combo too.
This is the bag I have in black with the embroidered strap, but I haven’t taken this blush one back yet so I grabbed it for this picture. This cross body bag with embroidered strap has been one of the most popular items with y’all this month, and everybody who has ordered it for themselves absolutely loves it.
This cheetah puff sleeve tee comes in 4 colors, and I love that the subtle puff sleeves elevate it from just a regular ol’ t-shirt to something a little special. For size reference, I’m wearing a small here, but I would be more comfortable in a medium.
This is an outfit that I will wear on repeat over and over again. I think it’s so cute.
This Amazon denim jacket is one that I’ve owned for over a year now, and it is FANTASTIC. It’s got a bit of stretch to it, and the fit is awesome. It’s a little big longer than the Kut from the Kloth jacket, and I know many of you really appreciate the extra bit of length. It comes in a medium wash (which I also have) and dark wash as well. I’m wearing a small in the jacket.
I love a flowy and breezy top, and this shirt really delivers. It’s flowy and romantic, with ruffle and pin tuck details. It’s quite thin (which makes it so light and airy), and I recommend wearing a nude bra with it. Some might want to wear a cami under it, but I felt comfortable in it with my nude bra and no cami. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. If I didn’t need extra room in the chest, a small would have been good.
The straw tote is adorable and is from Amazon!
BONUS OUTFIT #11
And 1 more outfit (that I showed on Monday) just because I wanted it to live on this post too.
This olive smocked top looks like a very nice blouse, but it’s actually a super soft polished t-shirt material (60% cotton, 40% modal) which makes me love it even more. Ruffled at the neck, smocked at the yoke, and puffed at the sleeves, what’s not to love. It’s got a nice relaxed fit, and I really like that the sleeves have elasticized cuffs. This is a great top. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. It will look good with regular denim, but I think it looks FANTASTIC with white jeans.
So, who is going to give these awesome white jeans a try for themselves? They come with free shipping and free returns (the return shipping label automatically comes to you in the box just in case you need it), so it’s literally ZERO risk to give them a try.
I think that white jeans are such an important closet staple to have, and I’ve done the work for you by finding a really fabulous pair that I know y’all are going to love too. They will add some fun and freshness to your wardrobe, and you will really enjoy styling them!
One more thing, if you’ve been afraid of white denim in the past (I’ve heard this from many readers), DON’T BE! If you find the right pair for you, you will feel GREAT in them!
