This post is sponsored by IT Cosmetics and ShopStyle. The product selections are my own, and I only highlight and promote products that I truly love. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Sheaffer Told Me To!
You guys. I’m super excited about today’s post, and I just know y’all are going to be too.
I’ve done many beauty posts in the past, but today I’m doing a beauty brand review with IT Cosmetics! Do y’all know about the brand?
It’s a super popular cosmetics brand and has been for years, but until about a month ago, I had never tried IT Cosmetics for myself. I’d been hearing about the brand for years and years through readers and from other influencers, but I’d never taken the plunge for some reason. I know so many of you (including several of my friends) absolutely SWEAR BY their CC cream, so when they reached out, I thought it was high time I tried it for myself.
But you know me…I didn’t stop at the CC cream.
Since I’d never tried anything by the brand before, I decided it would be a lot of fun to do a pretty comprehensive product review. Because I’m a blogger. #andthatswhatbloggersdo
For those of you that don’t know (I didn’t until last week!), the “IT” in “IT Cosmetics” stands for Innovative Technology, which brings me to how IT Cosmetics got started. Jamie Kern Lima (the founder) couldn’t find products that solved her beauty concerns (including sparse brows and redness), so she took matters into her own hands. She wanted products that did what they said they were going to do, so she partnered with plastic surgeons and dermatologists to create them! Now THAT’S innovative! She got the ball rolling all those years ago, and now IT Cosmetics has grown into a hugely popular global brand. #girlpower
So yes, I placed a huge order. In the name of science. And women. Or something like that.
I tried everything I ordered, and although I liked all of the individual products, a handful of the products really stood out to me. Of those favorites, I’ve already incorporated some of the them into my everyday makeup routine. We’re going to talk about my favorites today.
AND GREAT NEWS! Their Friends & Family event is going on right now, which means you can get 25% OFF of your entire purchase!!!
Let’s start with the products that create the palette for the rest of the makeup. Some would say these are the most important products we are talking about today.
AND LADIES. THESE PRODUCTS ARE AWESOME.
Your Skin But Better Primer + Oil Free / CC+ Cream / Heavenly Skin Skin Smoothing Complexion Brush / Bye Bye Under Eye Cream
My first step is the primer. The Your Skin But Better Primer + Oil Free will hydrate your skin while also providing a makeup gripping base. It will extend the life of your makeup, and their claims state that extended use of this product will also refine the look of pores. Large pores are definitely a problem area for me, so I’m all about any type of pore refining technology. I really liked the way it felt on my skin, and I felt like the CC cream went on top of it very smoothly.
Your Skin But Better Primer + Oil Free
Next up, we’re talking about the CC+ Cream.
It’s the CC Cream that I’d been hearing about for years, and now I know why. IT’S TOTALLY LEGIT. And because I didn’t know for a lonnnnnnnnnng time, CC stands for “Color Correcting.” It makes so much sense. Ha!
IT Cosmetics has the #1 CC Cream in America with over 20,000 5 STAR REVIEWS! It will provide you with:
- Lightweight, hydrating texture that won’t crease or crack
- Hydrating anti-aging serum that improves the look of your skin
- Physical sunscreen with up to SPF 50+—perfect for even sensitive skin
CC+ Cream / Heavenly Skin Skin Smoothing Complexion Brush
If you’re a regular reader here, you know that I’ve been using a tinted moisturizer for a little over a year now. I LOVE it, and I’ll definitely still use it for everyday wear. It’s a very sheer coverage (which I do love), and it definitely still has a place in my makeup routine.
But this CC+ Cream is different. The CC+ cream gives FULL coverage, and I appreciate that I now have this as an option. I mean, heaven knows I’m not getting any younger. There are many of you out there who didn’t love my other recommendation simply because you felt it was too sheer for your needs. WELL. This CC+ Cream is going to make you SO HAPPY. I have sun spots on each side of my face, and the CC Cream does a much better job of evening them out and camouflaging them than my current tinted moisturizer. I’m VERY happy with the results.
Here’s what the brand has to say: Infused with hydrolyzed collagen, peptides, niacin, hyaluronic acid, antioxidants and vitamins, this skin-loving full-coverage foundation reduces the appearance of acne scarring, wrinkles, redness on skin, dark circles under eyes and large pores—all while giving you a luminous, supple, flawless-looking complexion. It’s truly your one step for instant complexion perfection!
Well, all righty then!!! Doesn’t it sound amazing?!?
I mean, look how happy it makes me.
CC+ Cream / Heavenly Skin Skin Smoothing Complexion Brush
If you hop over to the site and scroll down, you will be directed to a chart that helps you know if you’re undertone is Cool, Neutral, or Warm…which will in turn help you choose a color. And if you scroll down right under that chart, you will also see a Before and After picture where the CC Cream is showing off. The After pic is awesome.
CC+ Cream / Heavenly Skin Skin Smoothing Complexion Brush
Here’s the deal…
I had gotten away from using full coverage foundations because I always found them to be drying and to look cakey. WELL, NOT THIS ONE!
When applying, a little product goes a long way. I dab a couple of dots on my forehead, a couple on each cheek, and one on my nose and my chin. I then get to work smoothing it out with the Heavenly Skin Skin Smoothing Complexion Brush. The brush really does the work for me. It too was developed with plastic surgeons and dermatologists and it blurs away the appearance of lines, pores and imperfections. It really does gives an airbrushed almost flawless finish. THE BRUSH DOES IT’S JOB. Plus, it’s cruelty-free and pro-hygienic for even the most sensitive skin types!
CC+ Cream / Heavenly Skin Skin Smoothing Complexion Brush
Moving on from the CC Cream.
I’m not sure if y’all have ever paid attention to this fact in previous beauty posts, but I’ve never used an under eye cream in my makeup routine.
Cue the gasps.
I’ve tried many before, but I always felt like the product would really settle in my lines. WELL. The Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer doesn’t. I dot the tiniest amount of product under each eye, then I dab dab dab with my ring finger until it’s all absorbed. It doesn’t crease or crack, and it improves the appearance of wrinkles. It also conceals dark circles, bags, redness, and more!
Sign me right on up.
Okay, time for the eyes ladies!
Look at this beautiful eye shadow palette.
Super Hero Eye Shadow and Liner Palette
It’s a lot of bang for your back for only $42!
Super Hero Eyeshadow and Liner Palette
The top 3 colors are eye foundation shadows that go over the entire lid. The product perfectly preps your lid by smoothing and color correcting. The left 3 colors are nudes, the middle 3 colors are neutrals, and the right 3 colors are liners. It’s a great little palette!
Superhero Eyeshadow and Liner Palette
After the eye shadow is applied, it’s time to move on to a couple of the real stars of the show.
Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing and Lengthening Mascara / Superhero Liner / Brow Power Micro Defining Eyebrow Pencil
All 3 of these products are great, but the mascara and the liner really impressed me.
Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing and Lengthening Mascara / Superhero Liner / Brow Power Micro Defining Eyebrow Pencil
In this picture, you can see that my eye on the left doesn’t yet have any product on it, but my eye on the right does! The Superhero Liner is like a very fine tip marker, and the color is a very stark black. It takes a little bit of practice using it, but I absolutely love the super thin and precise line that it creates. AND IT HAS STAYING POWER. At the end of the day, there is ZERO smudging. ZERO. And although I prefer a thin line, it’s made for creating a cat eye as well.
Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing and Lengthening Mascara / Superhero Liner / Brow Power Micro Defining Eyebrow Pencil
You can see the eyeliner better here. See how dark, thin, and precise it is?
Now, the mascara. When I first shared that I was going to be doing an IT Cosmetics review, I got a very passionate comment from a reader about this mascara. She said she was a mascara junkie, and that this mascara was one of her Top 3 mascaras of all times. Now that I’ve tried it for myself, I UNDERSTAND HER PASSION.
It really does both stretch and volumize, just like it promises. It’s not clumpy, and it doesn’t flake or smudge AT ALL. LIKE AT ALL.
Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing and Lengthening Mascara / Superhero Liner / Brow Power Micro Defining Eyebrow Pencil
And the Brow Power Micro Defining Eyebrow Pencil will help you fill in and then shape your brows.

Okay, y’all! Here’s another favorite product!
Officially, it’s called the Anti-Aging Matte Bronzer, Radiance Luminizer & Brightening Blush Palette.
AND IT’S FABULOUS.
Anti-Aging Palette / Heavenly Luxe Wand Ball Powder Brush #8
The colors are so pretty and really give you a nice soft glow. And at my age, I’m all about the glow.
Anti-Aging Palette / Heavenly Luxe Wand Ball Powder Brush #8
I truly love this palette. It’s so convenient to have the blush, highlighter, and bronzer all in 1 compact.
While the matte bronzer warms your complexion, the radiance luminizer creates a lit-from-within glow, and the brightening blush restores your natural flush of color.
Those aren’t my words, but I 1000% agree with them, and I couldn’t have said it better myself.
Anti-Aging Palette / Heavenly Luxe Wand Ball Powder Brush #8
I also grabbed 2 lipsticks and 2 glosses. One of the lipsticks was way too frosty for my liking, but I really like the Pillow Lips Lipstick below. It’s a cream finish, it’s very moisturizing, goes on very smoothly, and has staying power!
Pillow Lips Lipstick (Dusty Rose) / Vitality Lip Flush Butter Gloss (Naturally Pretty)
Here I am wearing Dusty Rose Pillow Lips Lipstick with the Naturally Pretty Butter Gloss. I love a high shine lip gloss and this one really delivers.
Here I am wearing the Dusty Rose Lipstick with the Mauve-A-Lous Darling Hydrating Gloss Stain.
The colors are so pretty!
We’re nearing the end of the review here, but we still have to talk about 1 of my very favorite products that I now swear by! Which one do you think it is?
Your Skin But Better Setting Spray+, Bye Bye Pores Pressed Setting Powder, Bye Bye Pores Illumination Pressed Powder.
It’s the makeup setting spray! The above powders have great reviews and I liked them, BUT I LOVE THIS SPRAY.
The Your Skin But Better Setting Spray+ has been a game changer for me! I’ve used makeup setting sprays in the past, and they’ve been fine, but I’ve never liked them enough to use the consistently.
I’ve had to get over the fact that I don’t love to spray a wet product on my face after my hair and makeup is done, but I’ve found that IT’S WORTH IT. I’m telling you, when I go to wash my face at night, my makeup still looks fresh! It might be a combo of the makeup with this spray, but I feel like it’s the spray that’s really extending the life of my makeup! It’s weightless, it doesn’t make my skin feel tight (like others have in the past), AND IT SMELLS AMAZING.
Your Skin But Better Setting Spray+
****************************
I hope y’all enjoyed this brand review, and I hope you found a couple of It Cosmetics products that you’d like to try for yourself. If I had to choose my 5 tip top favorites, they would be the following: the CC+ Cream , the Blush/Bronzer Palette, the Superhero Eyeliner, Superhero mascara, and the makeup setting spray. But I’m telling you, I also love the under concealer and the lipstick and glosses, so you really can’t go wrong! And I really love the brushes too, especially the foundation brush.
I’m curious, are you already an IT Cosmetics lover? Are you one of the thousands that is completely devoted to the CC Cream? Or is this a new to you brand like it was for me? I’d love for everybody to sound off in the comments!
And don’t forget! Their Friends & Family event is going on right now, which means you can get 25% OFF of your entire purchase!!!
A huge thank you to IT Cosmetics and ShopStyle for sponsoring this post.

I got turned on to IT Cosmetics about 6 years ago and continue to try their new items. I LOVE their brushes-like seriously the BEST ever!!! I always go back and forth with my foundations-I love the celebrate foundation in the summer because Florida humidity that foundation feels better-now CC…mmmmmmm!!! Its my fall/winter go to. I would also suggest you check out QVC because they have the BEST deals and you can get a product AND a brush for the same price and they also have collections that are put together that are phenomenal!!!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Diane! You’re right…I should have made a bigger deal out of the bushes, because they’re so good! Thanks for the tips too! xoxo
Sarah says
I’ve been wearing IT Cosmetics for about 3 years now I guess. I will never not wear the CC Cream. It’s unlike any foundation I’ve ever used, and it gives me such confidence. I also love their under eye concealer and mascara. Going to order a handful of new things today. That blush/bronzer palette looks amazing, and I think you’ve convinced me on the makeup setting spray.
Sheaffer says
Hi, Sarah! Love hearing from those who already love the brand. I have no idea what took me so long to try it, but I’m so glad I did! xoxo
Katie says
The eyeshadow palette looks really pretty. Do you really love it?
Sheaffer says
Hey, Katie! YES! I LOVE IT. I’ve had a chance to use it lots more since I wrote the post, and I really do love it so much. I’ve been using the top left 2 eye shadow foundations and I’ve been mixing it up with the bottom colors. They’ve got some real staying power, which is awesome! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. xoxo
Nicole Anderson says
Hi Shaeffer,
Which cleanser are you using at the end of the day? I found the CC cream to be very heavy.
Thanks, Nicole
Sheaffer says
Hi, Nicole! I use the Colleen Rothschild Radiant Cleansing Balm, and I follow that up with the Glycolic Acid Peel Pads! xoxo
Nicole says
Good to know that works! Thanks!
MindaC says
A friend just raved on FB about one of their cleansers. I was not familiar with this brand before I saw her post. Now I want to try it all! Thanks for taking one for the team and trying all of this for us !
Amy says
I’ve loved the CC cream for years — it was a game-changer for my dull postnatal skin. I just recently started trying out the IT skincare products. I’m still loyal to several Colleen Rothschild products, but I’ve starting rotating in the IT Confidence in a Cream at night and their eye cream in the morning. SO good!! I have dry skin and just turned 40 this year.
Shay Shull says
That palette is gorgeous!! I might that too!!!
Laci says
I have been using IT for years now and I love it!! Loved your reviews!
Marilyn Bridges says
Great review. Just curious, how does the eyeliner compare with the Stila brand?
Sheaffer says
Hey, Marilyn! The IT Cosmetics eyeliner is a much finer point. Also, I wear the soft grey in Stila (and have LOVED it for years), but this eyeliner is a very stark black and I’m loving the change! xoxo
VICTORIA ADAMS says
Good morning! Your final link to the CC cream is incorrect. It is taking me to the bracelet from Fridays post.
Sheaffer says
Thanks for letting me know, Victoria! Going to fix that now! xoxo
Sandi Wiedmaier says
I’ve heard a lot about that line. What about for oily skin? I never thought I’d still have oily skin at 53, but hey that means fewer lines from dry skin, right? It’s harder to shop for foundation since no one is doing color matching now. But, would this be a product for an oily skinned gal?
Sheaffer says
Hi, Sandi! I think I remember reading some reviews on the site that it’s great for oily skin. I would pop over there and see what you can find out! xoxo
Amy says
IT Cosmetics has an oil-free matte CC cream made for oily skin — I have a friend who swears by it! Worth a shot.
Sheaffer says
Thanks for the tip, Amy!
sandi says
Thanks! I went online and chatted with a customer service rep. They are extremely helpful with finding the correct products for your skin needs.
Marla says
How do you apply the blush/bronzer palette ? I know to most this is a crazy question I just don’t wear a ton of makeup but i want to try some of these products. Thank you
Sheaffer says
Hi, Marla! I put the blush on the apples of my cheeks. I put the highlighter at the very top of the blush on the upper part of the application. I lightly dust the bronzer all over my face and neck! xoxo
Marla says
Thank you. So, do you use the same brush for all of it ? Sorry for another crazy question.
Sheaffer says
Hey, Marla! I don’t. I use the foundation brush for foundation and I have a different brush linked for the bronzer brush (linked where I link the blush and bronzer palette). They have a great blush brush too. Hope this helps! xoxo
Elizabeth says
Yay!! I’ve been using IT CC Cream and Bye Bye Pores Loose Powder for well over 10 years. LOVE IT. I started using the Superhero mascara about two years ago and love it as well. I tried the IT blowout mascara but went back to the Superhero. The Superhero has a touch of waterproof element to it, which in Florida, is needed since we are constantly sweating. I never have the end of the day black smudging under my eyes, or flaking, but it’s not hard to remove. I’ve also gone swimming and it doesn’t run. Their brushes are great as well. I have that Superhero pallet as well. QVC runs some great specials on IT Cosmetics.
Jan Fisher says
yes! Love their CC cream and have used it for years. It’s the perfect coverage without feeling heavy at all!
I am intrigued by the bronzer palette and will need to give that a try!
Thanks for sharing this Sheaffer!
Erika Slaughter says
Sheaffer, you look absolutely gorgeous, friend!
Sheaffer says
Well, aren’t you sweet. Thank you! xoxo
Kelly says
Hi Sheaffer!! I retail therapy my little heart out with your recommendations! THANK YOU for what you do!!
This is random, but I was wondering if you ever did a post about favorite affordable throw blankets? Or if you have any recs?! I’m in neeeeed, and thought you would be my most trusted source!
Have a fabulous day!! Think you are just awesome!!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Kelly! YES M’AM!!!!! Search “Nordstrom Bliss Plush Throw” on Nordstrom and you will find THE ABSOLUTE SOFTEST throw blanket on earth. It comes in tons of colors and is wonderful. I think we own 5 now. Not even kidding. And I’ve give soooo many as gifts!!! xoxo
Kelly says
Amazing!! Thank you SO MUCH!
Amy K says
Looove the CC cream illumination version. Gives just a little extra glow.
I love watching for the today’s special values on QVC – you can get some great deals. They also offer great deals on It website that lets you afford trying some new products. I really like the eye cream and gel lotion.
Mary says
Where did you get the gray cardigan that you’re wearing in these pictures and what size are you wearing? Thank you
Sheaffer says
Hi, Mary! It’s the CozyChic Ultra Lite™ Cardigan in Pacific Blue from Nordstrom! I’ll be linking it on Friday, but you could always search on Nordstrom if you don’t want to wait! xoxo
Amy in PA says
I’ve used the CC cream for a few years and love the coverage especially for bouts of rosacea. I use more or less depending on how much coverage I’m looking for that day. I’m happy to see you featuring these products and will definitely be trying that bronzer palette next. Thanks Sheaffer!
Terri says
Couple of days late here, but my CC Cream and brush arrived Saturday, and I wore it for the first time today. LOVE it! The brush was amazingly easy to use, even for someone who is not great at make-up. I put it on at 5:30, and it still looks good 9 hours later. Off to see what else I need to order.
Sheaffer says
YESSSS! So happy to hear this, Terri!!!!! I’m having so much fun with my new makeup as well! xoxo
stacey jones says
Do you have a link to the earrings you are wearing in this post?
Sheaffer says
They are sold out. 🙁 They were from Nordstrom and called illusion trip hoop earrings. So sorry, Stacey! xoxo
