NEUTRAL SNEAKERS

I’m having a big moment with sneaker’s y’all.  I just keep reaching for them.  2020 has pretty much mandated sneaker wearing, am I right?

These are my 2nd pair of Edge Luxe sneakers, AND I LOVE THEM.  I also have the black, but I grabbed these just last week.

After my Sweaters and Sneakers post last week, I got a handful of requests for “regular” sneakers.  Some of y’all just wanted a more basic option, and I totally get it!

So I went on the hunt, and I landed on these!  They are a PERFECT neutral and will look great with jeans, denim shorts, leggings, and all sorts of athleisure!  Officially they are called “Clear Brown/Nude/White”, but let’s just stick with the perfect neutral.  I really like that the accents lean a little gold, but they aren’t shiny or flashy AT ALL.  Seriously.  The perfect neutral.

These are incredibly light, super comfy, and true to size!

FALL OUTFIT INSPIRATION

I had a dress up day earlier this week and put together several Fall outfits for us.  You’ve seen the jeans and the sneakers before, and you’ve even seen some of the sweaters before too (but styled differently).

In the 8 outfits you’re about to see, all of them are styled with the washed black distressed jeans and  these sneakers.  I love both, and I wanted to show you how versatile both are.

Let’s get started!

This boxy pullover sweater is just my style. This color is officially called “lilac”, but I feel like it’s closer to a really beautiful pale blush.  The quality is amazing and I love the ribbed neck, cuffs, and hem.  I’m wearing a medium here, but I’ve already returned it for a small.

And since these jeans are in the next 7 outfits, I think they deserve a highlight.

I would like to plead with you to GET. THESE. JEANS.  They will be such a nice change for you for your Fall wardrobe.

They are so soft, so comfy, and they just look cool.

Officially, the color is “black”…but I think they are maybe more like a really realllllllllllllllly dark grey.  Or maybe they’re black.  Whatever they are, I LOVE THEM.  It’s hard to see in the picture on the site, but they do have a bit of distressing. It’s not aggressive, it’s just a bit.

But my favorite part?  They fit like a glove. I’m wearing my regular size 4, but consider sizing down if between sizes.

(There’s a certain designer sneaker brand that is super popular right now, and even though I love the sneakers, I just never made the leap because of the price tag.  These sneakers have all the bells and whistles that the designer sneaks do at a much more affordable price point.  They are also insanely cushy and comfortable. I’m a big ol’ fan.)

So although these next 7 pictures of course are highlighting the tops and jackets I’m wearing, please pay attention to the fact that they are also proving the versatility of the jeans and sneakers!  BECAUSE THEY’RE BOTH AWESOME.

You’ve seen this black tee and this denim jacket countless times in countless different outfits.  I’m wearing a medium in the tee and a small in the jacket.  This light wash in the jacket is sold out in some sizes, but the medium and dark washes are still available.  The jacket is stretchy, comfy, and has a great fit.

I first wore the black on black look (with the funky sneakers) in my Sweaters and Sneakers post HERE.  I thought it was a lot of fun, so this time, I just switched out the regular black jeans for these.

How flipping cute is this MOM MODE sweatshirt.  It also comes in black and grey, but I fell in love with the blush.  For size reference, I’m wearing a medium for a very relaxed fit.  I wore this sweatshirt with denim shorts and my new neutral sneakers this week and it was so cute.

This striped v neck sweater is a great mid-weight sweater option.  Love the stripes, love the colors, and love the fit.  I look forward to styling it with regular denim and leopard flats as well.  For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

I always love a striped sweater, and the colors in this one are beautifully muted while still screaming Fall!  Rust, cream, grey, and blush come together for a great color combination.

For size reference, I’m wearing a small, but I think I would prefer the fit of the medium so it would be a bit more of a relaxed look.

This pullover  is awesome. They call it a sweatshirt, but I don’t think of it as a sweatshirt….more like a heavy tee that is CRAZY SOFT.  SERIOUSLY.  IT IS SO SOFT.  It’s got a little bit of stretch to it and almost has a kind of silky feel.  I like that it’s slouchy, but not sloppy.  For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

The reviews on the site are fantastic and lots of reviewers posted pics if you want to see it in other colors or on different body types.

Admittedly, this peplum wrap top has mixed reviews, but I really love the colors and I love the shape.  I do think it’s going to be a hard fit for some people.  There is a snap, which I appreciate. The little tie is great to give some shape, and I think the peplum is so cute.  For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

It’s appearing much more fuschia in pictures than it is in real life, but it isn’t the red it appears on the site either.

I think in real life it reads much more like a “garnet” or “beet” (but with some hot pink undertones), and I really love the true color.  It’s lightweight, it’s soft, it has a relaxed fit, and it’s the perfect weight for a half tuck.  For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

This sweater is my idea of sweater perfection, and now it’s ON SALE.

This rust color is beautiful, and I think it will look great with regular denim, black denim, and grey denim.  It’s incredibly soft and the fit is awesome.  It’s not loose or baggy, but it’s not fitted either.  I would say it’s a medium weight with a slight hi-low hem.  For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

This tie dye top is SO MUCH FUN and NOW ON SALE!  The colors are great, we all know that tie dye is all the rage right now, and then it’s all topped off with a subtle little puff sleeve.  For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

I think it looks great with the black jeans above, but I thought it would also look amazing with my itty bitty boot cut jeans.  I was right.  I can also see it styled with my frayed hem ankle jeans and leopard flats.

Even ON SALE this blouse is still expensive, but it’s so cute!  I love the pattern and the swingy fit, and I know it will be in constant rotation.  It is on the thin side, so it might not be a bad idea to wear a nude cami with it.  I’m wearing a small, and it’s still an oversized fit.  It’s FABULOUS.

IT Cosmetics

Yay, Meredith!  I’m so glad to hear that you love the balm just as much as I do! This balm truly has a cult following.  For those of you that haven’t tried it yet, it’s different than any other cleanser I’ve ever used.

First of all, I apply it to a dry face.  I scoop out a small amount of the balm with dry hands and slather it on to my dry face.  And as I rub it on my face, the heat from my hands changes the balm into more of an oily texture and it just feels incredibly luxurious.  It melts my makeup away, leaves my skin feeling amazing and hydrated, and the light citrus smell is PERFECT.

Not only do I use it to cleanse my face morning and night, I also use it as a type of leave on mask when I’m battling dry skin.  If my skin is dry, normal moisturizer tends to just sit on the surface, and my skin won’t absorb it enough to be properly moisturized.  But when used as a mask, the cleansing balm hydrates my skin like nothing else can, and I cannot recommend it enough.

This jumbo tub is a little over twice the size of the regular size balm, and right now it’s ONLY $6 more.  This deal is truly incredible, especially when you know that this tub will most likely last you 9-12 months.  It’s 100% worth the investment.
