Well, Ladies…
I’m thrilled to say we are getting little glimpses of Fall in my neck of the woods. We’ve had some cool mornings and some cool nights, and it’s just the nicest little preview of what’s to come. Fall weather is my favorite, and so are Fall outfits.
I absolutely love getting dressed in Fall because I love the colors and textures the clothes often have, and I love to pile on the layers. I’ve already been shopping for cooler weather, so today I’ve got some really great Fall pieces for you from several different retailers.
Today I’ll be featuring items from Nordstrom, Anthropologie, J Crew, Target, and Amazon. I’m hoping you’ll see something you love!
NORDSTROM
Most of my Nordstrom order was delayed, so we’ve just got 1 Nordstrom outfit today…but it’s a good one. It’s filled with great basics and an awesome pair of sneakers.
The tee and the frayed hem jeans are items you’ve seen on me over and over again. I’m wearing a medium in the tee and a 4 regular in the jeans.
The cardigan is super soft, and I think a great black cardigan is an absolute necessity in everybody’s closets. If you don’t already have one, this is a great option! I’m wearing a small in the cardi.
white tee / black cardigan / gold hoops / blingy necklace /long gold necklace (doubles as a mask chain) / raw hem ankle jeans / leopard sneakers
These leopard sneakers are FABULOUS. The neutral and rust colors come together beautifully with the leopard pattern to make a really fun Fall sneaker. And not only are they super cute, they are also super comfy! I would recommend sizing down a 1/2. I love them so much that I think I’m going to do a post next week all about sweaters and sneakers, so I’ll be giving you several styling ideas for these babies.

ANTHROPOLOGIE
Okay, ladies.
Pay attention.
I LOVE AND ADORE THIS BLOUSE.
In fact, it might be one of my favorite tops I have ever put on my body. I love the colors, I love the pattern, I love the swingy fit, and I love the pleated and lace details. The top is GORGEOUS and worth EVERY DANG PENNY. I think it would also be great with some black coated denim and heels to for a night on the town!
embroidered lace blouse / gold hoops / blingy necklace / pearl wrap bracelet / black jeans / neutral booties
Seriously. It’s STUNNING.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

If the above blouse is stunning, this tie dye top is SO MUCH FUN. The colors are great, we all know that tie dye is all the rage right now, and then it’s all topped off with a subtle little puff sleeve. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

I think it looks great with the black jeans above, but I thought it would also look amazing with my itty bitty boot cut jeans. I was right. I can also see it styled with my frayed hem ankle jeans and leopard flats.

The jeans are from Nordstrom (not Anthro), but I get questions about them every time I talk about them, so let’s review.
They are magic jeans. They make you appear taller and skinnier than you already are, and you will FEEL GREAT while wearing them. They are incredibly comfy and will give you legs for days. I’m wearing my regular size 4, but many people size down 1 size. (My problem area is my tummy, so I don’t size down.)

J CREW
I recently just started shopping J Crew again.
I used to shop there on occasion, but I went through a long spell where I just wasn’t finding anything I loved, so I stopped for a bit.
WELL. The dry spell is over.
LOOK AT THIS BLOUSE!
The colors! The floral pattern! The little ruffle and pleated neck! The ruffled sleeves!
I LOVE IT ALL.

Here I’ve styled it with my boot cut jeans. I’m wearing a medium in the top because of the lack of stretch. If you don’t need room in the chest, I believe you can stick to your regular size.

When I grabbed the above top in the store, I saw these New Balance sneakers on my way out. If I hadn’t been in a hurry, I would have tried them on. I think they have the coolest vintage vibe!

AMAZON
My huge September Amazon Haul went live on Friday! Did you see it? If you haven’t, click HERE.
Some of the items I ordered for the haul didn’t arrive until over the weekend, so you get to see those now!
This chambray puff sleeve top is 100% cotton and pairs perfectly with black denim, but it would be great with white denim too! It’s a great top for early Fall, and I love it styled with the leopard belt and gold jewelry. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

This camel long line cardigan is beautiful. It’s one of the more expensive items I’ve ever purchased from Amazon, but it really is lovely.
I get a lot of requests for long cardigans, so I was thrilled when I spotted this one. It comes in several colors, but I was immediately drawn to this taupe. I’m 5’4″, and you can see how long it is on me.

And I love it styled with my new my new bag strap. (Click HERE for the Under $25 Fall favorites post where I featured the bag strap and lots of other awesome finds.)

This boxy pullover sweater is just my style. This color is officially called “lilac”, but I feel like it’s closer to a really beautiful pale blush. The quality is amazing and I love the ribbed neck, cuffs, and hem. I’m wearing a medium here, but I’ve already returned it for a small.
And the gold buckle mules are one of my favorite Amazon finds ever! True to size.

This grey leopard cardigan caught my eye a couple of weeks ago, and I immediately ordered it. It’s soft, it’s thick, it’s cozy, it’s well made, and it’s darling. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

And because the above cardi appears to have limited stock, I feel like I needed to review an oldie but goodie!
This leopard cardigan is definitely in my TOP 3 AMAZON FAVES of all times. It’s soft, it’s a great length for both jeans and leggings, and it would also look great with a nice pair of slacks. It’s perfectly oversized and a cardigan that I think just about everybody would reach for again and again. I’m wearing a small.
If you need further convincing, go check out the excellent reviews. Many of the reviewers left pics of themselves in the cardi too.
This one is the “A-Beige”.
leopard cardigan / white tee / hoop earrings / wrap bracelet /cropped girlfriend jeans / wedge booties
It’s a really great cardi, and I’m very impressed with the quality.
I love all of these colors (look at the subtle blush in the one on the far left) and they seem to be well stocked! Click HERE! I seriously like all 4 options.
And check out this solid beige too. Look how soft it looks!

TARGET
My Target order hasn’t come in yet (I’m dealing with delayed shipping from a couple of different retailers), but I grabbed the below sweaters when I popped in store with Carter to get materials for his History project last week.
I’m wearing a medium in both, but I actually think I would prefer a small. I’m going to head to the store this week to try the smalls for myself.
The first thing you need to know about these sweaters is that they are ONLY $20!!! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE. There are lots of different patterns and colors to choose from, and they are soooooooooo soft!

I love the striped one too!

And I can’t believe I’m just now sharing this leopard wallet. When I first started carrying my Pochette Metis (my new small LV cross body), I needed something to hold my cards and license since my big wallet took up too much room in the bag. I found this baby at Target and it’s been perfect! In fact, I’ve stopped carrying my big wallet all together and just use this one. I’m so happy I found it!
After my order arrives, I’ll be reviewing the following:
These wedge sneakers are UNDER $40 and have fantastic reviews. There’s a neutral suede too, but I have some very similar to those, so I think this black “leather” option is a great choice. I like the edgy vibe.
This striped cardi looks like a really great basic, and I’ve heard from several readers that it’s awesome.
I also ordered this hooded sweatshirt and matching joggers, this tiered baby doll dress (in the red), and this multicolor striped popover.

Oh Sheaffer!! That J Crew blouse is amazing!!! And even those sneakers!
Shay Shull says
Well, this was a fun post!!!
Frances Ryals says
Well, I’ll be heading to Target today! Looks like there are Cartwheel offers for some of the items, too!
Sandi says
You always look wonderful in your clothing selections. I love the idea of a long cardigan, but every time I put one on it’s just overwhelming. I’m 5’2″ and slender. They look so good on other people though.
sandi says
Forgot to ask about the leopard belt… my oldest daughter have been longing for a leopard belt but the one listed it just a tad bit out of our price range. Have you found any that are similar but a little less expensive? Thanks!
Sheaffer says
Hello, again! I would suggest searching “Tallefort leopard print belt” on Amazon. Lots of great options will pop up!!! xoxo
Sheaffer says
Totally get it, Sandi! They are really great for the taller ladies, but I often feel overwhelmed in them too.
Allison Dogaer says
Since I stopped carrying my checkbook many moons ago I converted to a smaller wallet and love the extra space in my purse!!
Anouk says
I love leopard print! Great purchases, so many gorgeous items to wear this fall.
Danielle says
Can you tell us a little more about the fit of the J.Crew blouse? Is it fitted through the stomach area or is it more loose/flowy? It’s so hard to tell from the product shots and I’ve been debating this one for a while — I’m such a sucker for a good Liberty print!
Sheaffer says
Hey, Danielle! It’s not flowy at all. It’s a pretty crisp cotton, so it’s like what you expect a button up shirt to fit like (without the buttons) if that makes sense. So it’s not fitted, but it’s not stretchy or flowy either. Hope this helps! xoxo
MindaC says
Love these looks! I’m having trouble finding my fashion motivation right now. I’m back in the office but the majority are still working remotely and all meetings are still Zoom. It’s hard to dress up knowing you won’t be seen most days but it’s also good for the spirit to look nice. I think I’m definitely going to be in sweater and jean mode for a bit. I love the sneakers!
Amy says
The sweater and the wallet from Target are 20% off with Target Circle! I got both but now I obviously need another sweater.
Tana says
I don’t know what size of the JCrew floral flutter sleeve top to purchase. Does Your True Size say you are a medium? It says I should order the small but I don’t want it to be tight. I’m a 36 DD. But then reviews said it ran big. Did you find it did?
Sheaffer says
Hey, Tana! I’m wearing a medium. Sometimes I’m a small, sometimes I’m a medium….but I definitely needed a medium in this shirt. There’s not much give. With your measurements, I think a medium would be best. Hope this helps! xoxo
