Happy Wednesday, Everybody! It’s time for everybody to join up today with Shay and me to let everybody know WHAT’S UP this fine Wednesday!
Let’s get right to it!
*WHAT WE ARE EATING*
Nothing new to report over here, same ol’ same ol’.
HOWEVER, we have discovered 1 new restaurant and 1 new dish at a restaurant we’ve been going to for awhile now.
NEW RESTAURANT: Chris hasn’t been yet, but Carter and I went to MOD Pizza with some of his soccer team, and the food was delicious. They make personal sized artisan style pizzas. There are several crowd favorites on the menu to choose from that are “special”, but you can also put your own personal spin on any of their pizzas. They have great salads too.
NEW DISH: If you’re local, Mesa’s is our family’s favorite Mexican restaurant. A couple of months ago I ordered the Vallarta tacos on a whim, and OhhhhhhhhEmmmmmmmmmGeeeeeeeeeeee. If you order this dish, you can expect sautéed shrimp with roasted chipotle sauce, bacon, jalapeños and jack cheese on three corn tortillas with rice, avocado slices and bean soup. #orderthem #imtellingyouto

*WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT*
Facebook Timehop is always tugging at my heartstrings. Look at Carter in the pumpkins! He had just turned 1 here and was feeling all sorts of Fall in his little collared shirt and sweater, topped off with some khakis and loafers. Gosh I loved dressing him when he was little. I remember chasing him all over the Arboretum on this particular day. Sweet memories.

*WHAT I’M LOVING*
I am LOVING the response to last week’s Amazon post. You guys started receiving the items the next day (gotta love Amazon!), and everybody seems to be totally thrilled with their purchases. I’ve definitely received the most glowing feedback about this super soft sweater, this tunic tee (so many of y’all said you already had it and it’s your favorite! I 100% agree!), and these colored leggings.
Click HERE for the post if you missed it.
It’s my favorite Amazon post to date and definitely worth a couple of minutes of your time.
Oh wait! I almost forgot about this jacket…..nobody can believe how awesome it is and what an incredible value it is!!!

*WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO*
Last week my friend Erika hosted a dinner party for some girlfriends, and it was such a fantastic night. You can’t get much better than good girlfriends, good food, and a good cocktail.
It was at Rye in downtown McKinney, and my goodness it was absolutely delicious. I had never been, but I guarantee that I’ll be back. Especially for whatever pasta dish we had. It was the best pasta I have ever eaten. EVER.
I’m always in for a silly picture. So is Karla it seems. That’s her upside down in front.

*WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND*
Bright and early Sunday morning, I’m headed out on a girl’s trip with some of my besties to Boston! I CANNOT WAIT! Still not sure what I’m packing quite yet, but I’m going to be putting some outfits together and blogging about outfit choices on Friday! I know I’m taking these leggings, this big jacket, and this smaller jacket. I’ll also be taking this suitcase (so awesome and ON SALE!).

*WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT –
NEW COLLEEN ROTHSCHILD PRODUCTS!!!*
Y’all know I love Colleen Rothschild. I mean, I love her products…but I’ve actually had the privilege of meeting both Colleen and her husband Stan on several different occasions, and I do actually love them too. They are so fun and so down to earth, and I really like that I genuinely like the people behind the products.
But enough about the people…let’s talk about their incredible skincare.
Basically my entire skincare arsenal is from Colleen. Last year I even did a post titled Colleen Rothschild Told Me To.
I use many of her products daily (so do my mom, my sister, and several of my friends), and I think everybody knows by now that this is my ride or die product that I shall never live without. And up until now, the Dual Enzyme Polish was one of my other Top 3 products as well.
BUT Y’ALL, this new product duo blows the Dual Enzyme Polish out of the water! And that’s saying something, because I truly love the Dual Enzyme Polish.
Here’s how it went down…
They sent me a press package for this new product launch…it sat in my dining room for a couple of weeks…and then I finally broke into it a couple of weekends ago when Chris and Carter were out of town.
Let’s start with the Micro-Mineral Resurfacing Scrub. If you’re like me and don’t do professional microdermabrasion, this is a great alternative for you! I know it is for me! Do you see those little pink particles in the product? They must be magical unicorn horn dust because my skin has never felt so soft. After 1 use, I walked into the family room and insisted Chris rub my cheek. He was seriously impressed too and was like, “WOW. That IS soft.” And that’s when I texted my CR peeps, asked if we could hop on a call, and then asked if we could partner together for this part of today’s post. Because all of you need to know about these new products.
The pink particles feel like really tiny bits of very fine sand, but apparently it’s rose quartz combined with additional mineral nutrients to gently exfoliate and even skin texture. I mean, MAYBE. But I’m pretty sure that unicorn dust is in there somewhere. Right after cleansing with the cleansing balm, I pat my face dry, and then apply a small amount of the scrub in circular motions on my face. I don’t press hard, but I do lots of circular motions all over, and then I rinse with water and then pat dry again. And POOF. Baby soft skin. Correction…baby soft skin with improved brightness. Ladies. It’s soooooooooooooo good. It’s right up there with the cleansing balm!!!!!
Then I apply the Micro-Mineral Smoothing Toner. It’s different than any toner I’ve ever used before. It’s thicker and creamier, almost lotion like. It further softens and conditions the skin, leaving it balanced and ready for the next step in your skin care routine.
And right now, for a limited time, they’ve got an incredible introductory offer.
The Micro Mineral Soothing Toner is regularly $36 and the Micro Mineral Resurfacing Scrub is Regularly $60, and they are giving you both right now for ONLY $84! AND they are throwing in a package of their super soft facial cotton AND their metal tube roller key (more on the key in a minute).
Click HERE for this incredible offer. Oh, and there’s FREE SHIPPING too.
And in case you’re confused about the purpose of the metal key, you use it to get every teeny tiny little bit of product out of your CR product tubes.
These products are incredible.
But for real, I haven’t been this excited about a new product in a long time. I hope some of you trust me and give this set a whirl! I’m telling you, you won’t be disappointed. They have an awesome 30 day money back guarantee (and truly incredible customer service), so there’s really no risk! That’s the scrub on the left, the introductory offer in the middle, and the toner on the right. Just click on what you are interested in, but you definitely get the most bang for your buck with the set.

*WHAT I’M WATCHING*
THIS IS US
GREY’S ANATOMY
A MILLION LITTLE THINGS
THE VOICE
*****************************************************************
*WHAT I’M LISTENING TO*
The Voice is on in the background. I of course love listening to the super talented vocalists, but I also love the banter between the judges. It’s such a fun show with a whole lot of heart. I cry just about every episode.

*WHAT I’M WORKING ON*
I’ve got lots of great content coming up for y’all that I’m really excited about!
I’m even starting to brainstorm ideas for a gift guide or two. If you have a great gift idea, please leave it in the comments today. I would love to compile some reader recommendations for a post.

*WHAT I’M WEARING*
There’s finally a chill in the air, so I’ve been living the cozy life over here.
Lots of sweatshirts, leggings, and joggers. Amen.
Amazon keeps totally delivering in the sweatshirt and leggings space for me. And here’s what so cool: The prices are low, but the quality is high. And I’ve got a handful of new pieces for you today!
These leggings wouldn’t be great for working out because I don’t think they would stay put during high impact work outs, but they are perfect for lounging around the house and running around town. They are high waisted AND THEY HAVE A SIDE POCKET! And they’re just dang cute. Lots of readers have expressed a desire for leggings with pockets, so here you go! I’m wearing a small.
The sweatshirt might be my favorite of all the Amazon sweatshirts I’ve featured thus far. It’s the perfect length for leggings, I love the split hem, I love the weight (not too thick, not too thin), and it’s just wonderfully cozy! I’m definitely ordering it in a 2nd color because all I want to do is wear the one I have.
Oh, and you can still use the code FALLFUN for 40% OFF the bracelets.
modal fleece high low sweatshirt / deep grey camo leggings / bracelets / similar black sneakers
How about a fun hoodie?!? AND FOR ONLY $18! It’s soft and cute, two requirements I have for my hoodies. There’s not really any give, so I would suggest sizing up 1, and maybe even 2 depending on how slouchy you want it. I was totally drawn to the stars, but it comes in lots of solids, a stripe, a camo, and another star color combination.
The joggers aren’t from Nordstrom, but I’ve had a lot of requests for full length joggers and these are a pair I got last year that I pulled out again as soon as the temperatures dropped! I’m wearing a small in the joggers.
star pullover hoodie / cozy fleece joggers /bracelets (use the code FALLFUN for 40% OFF)/ similar grey sneakers
These are the same joggers as above with the coordinating top. I’m wearing a small in both the top and the joggers. I’m wearing flip flops because I was headed out the door to get a pedicure.
cozy top / cozy joggers / bracelets (use the code FALLFUN for 40% OFF)
I wore the star hoodie with joggers on Friday, and the outfit below on Saturday. Y’all do that too, right? If I’m not seeing the same people, I repeat either whole or partial outfits all the time. Anything to cut down on the laundry, right?
I would definitely suggest sizing up in the jeans. I’m wearing the 4s in the picture below, AND I COULDN’T BREATHE. They don’t have much stretch to them, and taking in air was difficult. For real. I’m hoping I love the way the 6s fit.
star pullover hoodie / Levi’s jeans /bracelets (use code FALLFUN for 40% OFF)/ hot pink sneakers
How fun are the pink sneakers?!? And as you can see, I’ve having a great time styling these bracelets in lots of different outfits.
star pullover hoodie / Levi’s jeans /bracelets / hot pink sneakers
On my Amazon post last week, I was wearing these huggie earrings with all of my legging outfits. I had some requests for a better look at them, so here you go! I’ll show them on instastories today as well.
They are pave “diamonds”, they are super sparkly, and they are a great size. I LOVE a pair of huggie earrings because you can sleep in them and talk on the phone with them, and never get stabbed. #genius
AND GET THIS. They are $13.95. They come in yellow and rose gold as well.
And now for another perspective on some outfits you’ve already seen.
I showed you this sweater with black jeans in a previous post, and I continue to love it. It’s only $24.50, and it’s very soft and super versatile. Click HERE to see it styled with black jeans and gold buckle mules. It looks great on it’s own, but it would also look great under a blazer. It’s fitted, so I sized up to a medium.

leopard sweater / pave necklace / hoop earrings / best black pants ever / black pumps
Have I convinced you on this leopard sweater yet? Remember it’s under $25. I love it here with jeans and the tweed bag.

leopard sweater / hoop earrings / Kurt Geiger tweed bags / wrap bracelet /cropped girlfriend jeans / wedge booties
Cardigans are always a highly requested item.
This one is a thick chunky knit with braided detail down the front. It comes in 14 colors total. I’m wearing a small and it’s great with jeans, but if I was wearing with leggings, I would size up to a medium for some additional length.

chunky cardigan / white tee / tassel necklace / hoop earrings / wrap bracelet /cropped girlfriend jeans / wedge booties
OKAY, LADIES! This leopard cardigan is fabulous. It’s soft, it’s a great length for both jeans and leggings, and it would also look great with a nice pair of slacks. It’s perfectly oversized and a cardigan that I think just about everybody would reach for again and again. I’m wearing a small.
If you need further convincing, go check out the excellent reviews. Many of the reviewers left pics of themselves in the cardi too.

This blouse is one that I purchased knowing it would be great for you ladies that work in an office, but it’s super cute with jeans as well!

BACK IN STOCK ALERTS
This quilted jacket is NOW IN STOCK AND AVAILABLE IN LOTS OF NEW COLORS! It’s adorable and there are so many things I love about it. I love the color choices, I love the hardware, and I love the stand up collar. This jacket has great style!
It’s lined with teddy bear fleece throughout the body of the jacket (not the sleeves), so even though it’s just a medium weight, the jacket will provide good warmth!
I highly encourage you to hop over to see all the color options!

SALE ALERTS! SALE ALERTS! SALE ALERTS!
Do y’all remember this shirt? It’s one of my favorites and now it’s 40% OFF!
Click HERE for the original post.
leopard button up / green mixed shape drop earrings / tortoise shell sunnies (black sunnies) / my favorite black jeans / reversible cognac tote / must have wedges
I think this top is fabulous.
I’ve featured silky leopard tops before, but this is a cotton voile. It’s 100% cotton and very lightweight. And get this….it doesn’t seem to wrinkle!
I of course love it here with black jeans, but it will also look great with regular denim and white denim as well! I’m wearing it pretty casually here, but it could be dressed up very easily. And think how cute it would be with a pencil skirt!
As I mentioned before, it’s lightweight, so I will wear this blouse all the way into summer. But here’s the deal, I actually consider it a year round shirt because it will be awesome under a blazer or leather jacket, or even layered under a sweater with the collar popped out!
And in case you need more styling ideas, here it is styled with blue jeans…
leopard button up / jeans / cross body bag/ blush-coral bracelets / green bracelets
MAKEUP ON SALE:
There’s actually 20 pages of makeup on sale HERE!
Fashion Icon is my go to lipstick and has been for at least 5 years now. It’s a pretty sparkly plum/berry color (although it looks much darker on the site). I wear it 90% of the time that I wear lipstick.
My sister introduced me to Clarins lip comfort oil when we were at the ranch once, and I bought it the day we got home. I wear “Honey”. It glides on so smooth and provides just a hint of subtly sparkly color.
Dior Lash Extender is one of the products I discovered through a Nordstrom sample a couple of years ago with one of my orders. AND NOW I SWEAR BY IT. I sweep it on my lashes right before I put on my mascara. It both lengthens and plumps my lashes with white fibers, but they don’t fall off into my eyes. It’s pretty magical. It goes on white, so you do have to wear mascara over it, but the white doesn’t show through after the mascara goes on. I do one eye with the lash extender and then the mascara before moving to the other eye. I’ve found that my results are best when the mascara goes on before this product dries.
This liquid eyeliner is one of my tried and true products that I cannot live without. It is by far my favorite eyeliner product I’ve ever used, and I can’t imagine ever switching. I use a soft grey called “alloy” because the black is too stark for me. It glides on SO easily, and it stays on with no smudging during the day. Now, don’t let the “liquid” title scare you. It is like a very fine tip marker that you just easily glide on for a very clean line, and you can decide if you want a thin or a thick line. It doesn’t skip, it doesn’t smudge (it really does stay all day), and it’s so easy. I can apply it in 1 stroke using only one hand! No need to pull the eye taught or anything!
This eye base evens out my skin tone and the discoloration and redness on my eyelids, provides a great base for my eye shadow, helps the shadow go on without any creasing, and enables it to stay on all day. It is quite a product. And I’m not the only that loves it, it has 325 almost perfect 5 star reviews. My color is “bare”, and it can be used alone without eye shadow if you wish. You can apply it with your fingertips, but I use the small angled brush head on the brush I talked about under face products.
Click HERE to get to my initial make up post where I talk about the above products and my other favorites as well. There are before and after makeup pictures of me too, so I know y’all want to see those. #iloveagoodbeforeandafter
That’s it for today, y’all! Now it’s time to let us know what you are up to this fine Wednesday! Please link up below!

Hi Sheaffer,
I love your blog and IG so much! Thank you for all of your work to find us quality and value! In today’s post, in the Back in Stock section, the quilted utility jacket is so cute. You say it’s less than $60 but when I go to the Nordstrom site, it’s listed at $88. Was it on sale at one point? Thank you for clarifying.
Teresa
Sheaffer says
Hi, Teresa! Oops! Sorry, yes it was. Going to change that now. It was first offered during the anniversary sale, and then they brought it back with lots of new colors.

Thanks for all you do to keep us in style! Quick question – the modal high low sweatshirt – did you do a medium?
Heading to Boston in the morning for family weekend at my son’s college! Can’t wait to hug his neck. It’s going to be leggings and sweatshirt weather for sure!
Sheaffer says
Yes! A medium! Have so much fun! xoxo

Hi, Sheaffer! I spotted that Thread & Supply quilted jacket in a couple mall stores yesterday. Dry Goods carries it in black, mocha and green. It’s only $64! Altar’d State also has an identical jacket with their own label. It comes in green and cream, but it’s $100. It’s seriously the exact same jacket.
Julie Bradford says
