Happy Wednesday! It’s time for everybody to join up today with Shay and me and let us know WHAT’S UP this fine Wednesday!
I want to start out today by acknowledging the tragedy that happened yesterday in Uvalde, Tx. As I write this, I think that there are now 18 precious children and 1 teacher that are no longer with us. I truly cannot imagine the pain and the anger that these families and the Uvalde community are experiencing right now. Nothing I can say can even begin to try to match the magnitude of the tragedy, but I do know that they need our prayers. I also know and can of course acknowledge that thoughts and prayers aren’t enough, but there is also no doubt that these families need us to stand in the gap for them. I imagine right now that they are too sad, too tired, and too angry to pray for themselves, so we need to. These families truly NEED our prayers. So, I am committing to pray for them. I will be lifting these families up during their unimaginable pain, and I know that many in this community and hundreds of thousands around the world will be as well. God, please be near and give them a peace that surpasses all understanding and comfort them on their darkest days.

WHAT WE ARE EATING
Nothing to report here, really. Except that I’m basic buying the Honey Pearl grapes from Trader Joe’s in bulk. They are so flipping good. I’m washing them and then freezing them in little snack bags and have them as a nightly treat around 8:00 or so. YUM!
The only other food related item to report right now is that I’m looking forward to eating some meals prepared by Carter this summer. Chris had an idea that Carter should prepare 1 meal a week for the family, and he kicked it off with tacos on Monday. They were delicious! He even toasted corn tortillas in a skillet and melted cheese on them before having us load up the tortillas. I’m excited to see what recipes he finds, and it’s fun to see him pumped about this too.

WHAT I’M LOVING
I’m LOVING that it’s summer!!! WooHoo!
If you didn’t get a chance to see the WHAT’S IN MY BEACH BAG post, you need to head there now! I give my thorough reviews of each of the products you see below, and you get to see what I’m wearing to the beach.
1. Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen / 2. Supergoop !Glow Screen / 3. Mineral Powder Foundation / 4. sunglasses / 5. Coola guava mango sport sunscreen (SPF 50) / 6. Supergoop Glow Oil / 7. beach towel / 8. Tropic Like It’s Hot tote / 9. Olaplex Moisture Mask / 10. detangler brush / 11. GLAM bag / 12. Juicy tubes lip gloss (hallucination)/ 13. Clinique chubby stick (rosy poly roly) / 14. drink more water bottle / 15. Supergoop! illuminating cream eyeshadow / 16. Coola tinted lip balm / 17. straw hat / 18. jelly slide sandals
I featured a white cover-up shirt on Monday that I’m totally smitten with, but I love this floral chiffon cover up dress as well.
floral chiffon cover up dress /sunglasses / earrings / layered necklace / Tropic Like It’s Hot tote / straw hat / jelly slide sandals
The flowy fit and light and airy fabric make it perfect for the pool or beach. And the brightly hued floral pattern is so pretty. I would suggest to cut off the tassles. They are wayyyyyyyy too long and quite distracting. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but I think I would prefer the fit of a small.

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO
Carter and his friend Aidan had their last choir concert last week, and they did a great job. It was an 80s tribute, and there was choreography and everything. Watching 7th grade boys sing and dance is a good time. 🙂
Yesterday I got to spend part of the day with my nephew Bennett. We had the best time! He was such a trooper hanging with me when I made some returns at Northpark.
So the little fella got rewarded with some Legos.
And just fyi, when I went to grab Bennett from my sister’s house, I flipped out over her new Barrington tote.
HOW CUTE IS THIS BAG. Use the code STMTSAVE10 for 10% OFF. They have tons of new spring and summer colors and patterns.

WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT
Do y’all remember this sweet picture I posted last year of Carter and my dad after one of Carter’s soccer games? I ran across it yesterday, and I felt compelled to post it today and to ask for prayers for my dad.
Dad started not feeling well two Sundays ago, and on Monday night it had gotten bad enough that my mom took him to the er. It’s now 8 days later, and he’s still in the hospital. The doctors are having a difficult time diagnosing him. They first thought it was pneumonia and were treating him with antibiotics. However, after days of not responding to the treatment plan, the team of doctors now think it is something other than pneumonia. He’s not eating well, he’s not sleeping well, he doesn’t feel great, and he is incredibly weak. Please pray for his team of doctors to be able to assess and diagnose him accurately. Please pray for my dad to feel better and gain strength. Please pray for my mom who is staying at the hospital with him day and night.

WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT
The Quench and Shine Restorative Hair Mask is BACK, baby! I’m soooooooooooo excited. It’s been sold out for a sweet forever (I think it’s been almost a year), BUT IT’S BACK!
You will notice a major difference in your hair after the very first use, and after repeated use (I use it 2x-3x a week) you will NEVER want to go without it. I’m telling you, your hair will be so soft…so shiny…and it will look so healthy. It’s a truly amazing product. I would give it 100 stars if I could. I know those of you that have been missing it as much as I have are already hitting ADD TO CART.
And great news, y’all! Not only is it back in stock, but Colleen Rothschild is having a site-wide sale right now.
$25 OFF of $100 with the code MDW25
$50 OFF of $200 with the code MDW50
It’s a great time to try something new and/or restock some of your empties. If you’re new to the brand, I highly recommend heading to the site and reading some reviews. Colleen’s products are changing people’s skin (and hair!). Go decide what products could benefit you, because they actually do what they claim to do!
I’m also excited about the Victoria Emerson sale. If you didn’t see yesterday’s post, go there now! The bracelets are gorgeous and the deals are INCREDIBLE!

WHAT I’M WORKING ON
I’m partnering with Vuori next week, and I’m so stinking excited about it.
I will say this: The hype surrounding Vuori is one thousand percent true.
I’m highlighting several pieces, I’m now a huge fan of the brand, and their performance joggers are truly next level.

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO
Rain. It’s POURING down rain right now.

WHAT I’M WEARING
LADIES! THIS embroidered top!!!! You won’t have it in time for Memorial Day, but you could have it in plenty of time for July 4th, as long as you grab it quickly because I have a feeling that this baby is going to go fast.
The red is a perfect shade of red, the embroidery work is gorgeous, and the split neck sleeves are so flattering. This top has no give, so keep that in mind when choosing your size. I’m wearing a medium, and I still think it’s a little tighter than I would like right through the chest.
Use the code STMT10 for 10% OFF the top!
And listen, I’ll obviously be wearing this top all the time, but you can bet your fireworks I’ll have it on come July 4th.
embroidered top / rattan earrings / frayed hem denim shorts/ TB Miller soft sandals (also on Amazon HERE)
These frayed hem denim shorts (the ones seen in the above picture as well) have a 5″ inseam, which now appears to be the sweet spot for me (in my advanced age). Haha!
A faded medium wash and raw hems add a casual look to these shorts that flatter with ‘Ab’solution powermesh panels to shape and lift in all the right places.
- 5″ inseam; 22 1/2″ leg opening; 10″ front rise; 14 1/2″ back rise
- Zip fly with button closure
- 63% cotton, 36% polyester, 1% spandex
They are stretchy, comfy, and have the Ab-Solution technology that we all know and love. I originally ordered these in my regular size 4, but I felt like they were too tight. I sized up to a 6 and like the fit much better.
frayed hem denim shorts/ TB Miller soft sandals (also on Amazon HERE)
This skirt is another piece you can use the code STMT10 with to get 10% OFF.
It’s a lightweight fabric with a punchy floral graphic pattern. It’s feminine, and flirty, and so much fun. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
lemon graphic tee / denim jacket / rattan earrings / skater skirt / TB Miller soft sandals (also on Amazon HERE)
This embroidered flutter sleeve top has pretty eyelet details, a subtle little flutter sleeve, and a drawstring hemline. It’s a pretty bare silhouette, but it sure is cute. I’m wearing a medium.
embroidered flutter sleeve top / rattan earrings / frayed hem denim shorts/ TB Miller soft sandals (also on Amazon HERE)
This babydoll dress is so unique and interesting. It’s got billowy sleeves, a tiered skirt, a square neck, and such a cool pattern. I’m not keeping it for myself because the chest is too tight on me, but I wish it wasn’t, because I really love how different it is.
babydoll dress / rattan earrings / wedges (order 1/2 size up)
When I saw this romper online, I didn’t hesitate to throw it in my cart. It’s a light and gauzy fabric with an elastic waist and structured sleeves. I’m wearing it here with flat sandals, but I also think it would look great dressed up with wedges and less casual jewelry. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
And ladies, get ready for the necklace! It’s finally going to be available on Monday! WOOHOO!

BACK IN STOCK
I always get so excited when I see items that I’ve previously highlighted (AND LOVED!) that are back!
I had no idea how much I was going to love this strapless maxi dress. AND GIRLS, I LOVE THIS DRESS.
First of all, there are THOUSANDS of 5 star reviews. A lot of the reviewers posted pics of themselves in the dress as well if you want to see it on different body types (I know this is often super helpful). It comes in a multitude of colors and prints. I’m wearing “red”, but I also really love the “pink”. It’s a pull on dress without any zippers, and it’s insanely comfortable. It’s smocked across the bust, and it stays put. I’m not even wearing a bra with it here, but my favorite strapless bra would also work perfectly.
It’s tiered and has little ruffles on the tiers. It’s adorable.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
strapless maxi dress / denim jacket / gold hoop earrings / bezel set diamond necklace / sandals (size up a 1/2)
This tie dye dress comes in tons of color options (not all are tie dye), and most colors and sizes are UNDER $25. I showed you my new one (it’s a vibrant blue) on my Amazon Haul last week. It’s a rayon and spandex combo, so it’s got some stretch to it. It’s not a clingy fit, and it has pockets! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium for a more relaxed fit here. In just a second you’ll see the exact dress (in a striped pattern) on me in a small so you can compare the fits.
tie dye dress / turquoise beaded earrings / bracelet stack / neutral patent sandals (size up a 1/2)
This is totally cute as a dress, but it would also make a great cover up. It’s a perfect little dress to go from the beach to lunch or dinner on vacation.
I think it looks awesome paired with this striped tote that could totally be used for a beach or pool bag. It’s straight up awesome. The colors are so vibrant and I love the stripe pattern. It’s super lightweight, very roomy, and has interior pockets. This is a great tote! It’s SO FREAKING CUTE!
tie dye dress / turquoise beaded earrings / bracelet stack / neutral patent sandals (size up a 1/2) / striped large zippered tote
This kimono is FANTASTIC. I’m wearing the “green”, but I think it’s more like a turquoise. It also comes in black, blue, and orange as well as a couple in a different pattern. I’m wearing it here with denim shorts, but it would also look great with white jeans and wedges!
kimono / white tee / bezel set diamond necklace / denim shorts / sandals (size up a 1/2)
When you see it closed like this, you see the kimono could also make a fabulous swimsuit cover up.
kimono / white tee / bezel set diamond necklace / denim shorts / sandals (size up a 1/2)
You originally saw this blouse on me last year, and it’s one that I still own and wear.
This floral tie waist top is DARLING, it’s great with denim shorts, but I love wearing it with white jeans as well. As you can see, I have it tied in a knot on the left, and on the right I have it tucked in. I also sometimes wear it in a bow and love that look too. For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the top.
tie front blouse / rainbow beaded earrings / bezel set diamond necklace / denim shorts / neutral patent sandals (size up a 1/2)
This striped dress comes in tons of color options, and it’s ONLY $22.90! I also really like the black and white stripe option and both the black and blue wavy stripe options (that remind me of tie dye). It’s a rayon and spandex combo, so it’s got some stretch to it, but it’s not a clingy fit! And it has pockets! For size reference, I’m wearing a small here.
striped dress / gold hoop earrings / bezel set diamond necklace / sandals (size up a 1/2)
It of course looks great with a denim jacket thrown on top.
striped dress /denim jacket / gold hoop earrings / bezel set diamond necklace / sandals (size up a 1/2)
This ruffle sleeve camo dress is yet another dress for summer that’s easy to just thrown on and look great. I really like the added detail of the ruffled sleeve on this one! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. It’s a little roomy across the shoulders, but I think a small would be too tight across the chest.
ruffle sleeve camo dress / gold hoop earrings / bracelet / sandals (size up a 1/2)
Next up, I have a great basic tee with a little extra flare! This tulip sleeve tee is one I can see many of you falling in love with and deciding to grab it in additional colors. I’m wearing the light blue here, but it also comes in black, grey, purple, green and white. For size reference, I’m wearing a small (but I ended up exchanging for a medium).
I’ve had so many requests for v necks (vs. crew necks) and the v neck on this one is very flattering (and not too deep). The little detail on the sleeve is so pretty and makes the regular ol’ t-shirt a little special.
tulip sleeve tee / rainbow beaded earrings / bezel set diamond necklace / hope bracelet stack / white distressed denim shorts / neutral patent sandals (size up a 1/2)
I wanted to show you three of my current favorite Amazon bags with this basic tee and cut off outfit.
All 3 bags are awesome, all are under $35, and they are ALL from Amazon!
rattan bag / straw tote / striped large zippered tote
I wanted y’all to see this heathered blue tee with my regular denim shorts as well.
tulip sleeve tee / rainbow beaded earrings / bezel set diamond necklace / hope bracelet stack / denim shorts / neutral patent sandals (size up a 1/2)
This hope bracelet stack is ONLY $13.99 and I think it’s so cute!
The neutral patent sandals are a great option for those of you that love the look of the Tory Burch Miller Sandals, but you don’t want to pay the price.
hope bracelet stack / neutral patent sandals (size up a 1/2)
This blush sweater is so sweet, incredibly soft, and a perfect light weight to be worn all spring and summer long. It comes in 10 colors, but as I often do, I fell in love with the blush. The collar, the sleeves, and the pointelle knit are all just perfectly adorable. If you have a long torso, this might not be long enough for you. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
I showed it to you last month with jeans, but I love it styled with white shorts.
blush sweater / gold hoop earrings / bezel set diamond necklace / white denim shorts / bracelet / neutral patent sandals (size up a 1/2)
The same blush sweater looks great with my washed black denim shorts too.
blush sweater / gold hoop earrings / bezel set diamond necklace / washed black denim shorts / bracelet / neutral patent sandals (size up a 1/2)
This white sweater is from the same link and is also a pointelle knit, but you can see it’s a different style. It’s cut quite a bit more generously, so I’m wearing a small in this one. It’s a beautiful white sweater and I’m excited to have it in my closet. It comes in several other pastel colors as well.
white sweater / gold hoop earrings / bezel set diamond necklace / washed black denim shorts / bracelet / neutral patent sandals (size up a 1/2)
These washed black denim shorts were new to my closet last year, and I was so happy to have them. I’ve really enjoyed pulling them out to mix up my outfits a bit. Last year I think I wore my regular denim cut offs almost every single day.
white sweater / washed black denim shorts / bracelet / neutral patent sandals (size up a 1/2)
I styled this one last month with jeans as well…
white sweater / gold hoop earrings / bezel set diamond necklace / straight legged jeans / blush wedges
I had this puff sleeved dress in a print last year and loved it, but it sold out. I posted the black last month and have received so many messages from y’all about how you love it and how it’s such great quality! Since then I’ve also shown a striped version. It’s soooooooooooo incredibly soft. The material isn’t heavy, but it’s thicker than a regular tee, so it feels very well made. I love the fit (it’s very forgiving) and the puff sleeves are such a nice design element, without being too dramatic. It is such a great dress.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small. For a more relaxed fit, size up.
The reviews on this dress are great, so if you’re on the fence, go see what other people have to say about it! Some have posted pics of them in the dress as well.
puff sleeved dress / rainbow beaded earrings / bezel set diamond necklace / sandals (size up a 1/2)
I showed this dress in a 5 SUMMER OUTFITS post last summer, but here I’ve dressed it down with a ball cap.
It’s a perfect maxi, y’all.
First of all, it’s ONLY $26.90.
I love that it’s not clingy, but it’s also not boxy at all. It drapes really nicely and is super flattering. The material is soft and light, and it feels great on the skin. For size reference, I’m wearing a small, and that’s the only size remaining.
And get this. IT DOESN’T WRINKLE. I pulled it right out of the package, and it looked great. This would be a great little travel dress.
I love the little straw tote with pom poms. It’s just plain fun!
striped maxi / denim jacket /Judith March hat / sunglasses / statement earrings / sea green necklace / straw tote with pom poms / colorful tile bracelets / slide sandals

WHAT ARE MY FAVORITE RECENT AMAZON PURCHASES
I know you saw this picture earlier in the post, but I think it does a great job of showing how the teeth whitening system I bought last month is working its magic! Click HERE for the Opalescence Go Teeth Whitening System.
I’ve only used 4 trays so far, and my teeth have already definitely gotten a glow up! I’m very pleased with the results thus far, and I’m anxious to see additional progress as I use the rest of the trays. Overall, the reviews on this whitening system are excellent. I will say though that I was nervous to use them the first time because I read a review or 2 that reported extreme sensitivity and/or gum-burning and pain. I have not experienced anything unpleasant at all, and I’ve definitely had sensitivity with other teeth whiteners. I would suggest you hopping over and reading some of the other reviews and seeing some of the fantastic before and after pics. I had actually stumbled across this system several months ago, but I didn’t take the plunge until after I saw Carter’s dentist had this exact system displayed in the waiting room. I took the plunge after that, and I’m so glad I did.

Praying for your dad. If he has had any fever or chills, I hope they check him for endocarditis, an infection that can damage heart valves. My husband had valve replacement as a result of teeth cleaning. It’s something they don’t look for, and took five months to diagnose.
