The Sweatshirt You Need

Today’s post centers around a sweatshirt.

OUTFIT #1

I’d say I would start by introducing you to the sweatshirt, but if you read this blog, then you’ve already seen it a handful of times.

It’s the Zella high low sweatshirt.  It’s soft, it’s lightweight, and it’s a super relaxed fit.  And girls, I’m ALL ABOUT a super relaxed fit these days. And although the fit is definitely loose, it’s not baggy or sloppy.

The arms are a subtle bat wing design which just makes it totally roomy and very comfy.  Both are necessary qualities for a sweatshirt to possess.

I have it in 3 colors:  black, ivory grey heather, and red cinnamon (which is now sold out).  Oh, I’ve also got a new graphic print that you’ll see in a minute.  I’m not one that typically buys an item in multiple colors, although I’ve been known to do it on occasion when I really like something.  #imlookingatyouamazonsweater #andnowthissweatshirt

For size reference, I’m wearing a medium in this sweatshirt.  (You’ll see in a bit that I have a small in the heather grey).

Some of the reviews state that it pilled after washing, but I haven’t found that to be true  with any of my colors and I’ve washed and worn all of them several times already.

And how fun are these floral Live In leggings?

Officially, they support muscles, smooth curves and optimize your range of motion to help you make the most of your workout. They also wick away moisture to keep you cool and comfortable during intense sessions, while a handy interior pocket on the waist band stashes your keys or a little cash.

Unofficially, they go up above my belly button and suck me in.  I love the vibrant floral pattern and think they somehow manage to be both adorable and a little bit edgy.  They’re definitely bold, but I love that about them.  For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

OUTFIT #2

Here’s the sweatshirt in the ivory grey heather.

I’m wearing the small here, and you can see it’s a tiny bit shorter and a little closer of a fit than the black one above (that’s a medium)

The sweatshirt of course goes perfectly with the black MUST HAVE leggings (that were just released in a great teal green a couple of days ago too).

Y’all know I can’t shut up about these babies.

I can’t help it.  I ADORE mine, and I think that everybody needs to give them a try.

They are high waisted like the Zella high waisted live in leggings we all know and love.  But get this, the waistband is a soft ribbed material.  They don’t have as much compression as the original leggings, which actually makes them even more comfortable!  And I’ll take comfort over compression every day of the week.

In addition to the cute pockets and the awesome ribbed waistband, there are also cute little bands at the bottom.  So  they have jogger styling, but they fit like leggings. They’re awesome.

Also.  THEY ARE SO SOFT.  Like reallllllllllly REALLY soft.

And I’m telling you, the fit is adorable.

These are the “black”, but I think they are more of a really dark charcoal grey.  For size reference, I’m wearing a small.  I’ve heard that some people are sizing down in these, but I like the fit of my regular size.

The leggings look great with both standard sneakers and fashion sneakers.

I could wear an outfit like this every single day of my life and be happy.

And I’ve found it’s just as perfect for walking the dogs as it is for running around town.

Here’s what she had to say about it…

I have lived in this shirt for the past week. I’ve worn it with my Zella pants, jeans, and to with my PJs to bed. Yes, it’s that versatile and that comfortable! Casual and cozy – just my style! The reviews are mixed on the shirt, but I honestly have no idea why (even though more than half of the people gave it 5 stars). After reading the reviews, I decided to size up to an XS and I’m glad I did (I’m usually an XXS). I love the relaxed fit. I have washed it a few times now and I wash on cold, dry in the dryer for a few minutes, then lay it flat to dry.

This color is sold out, but I still wanted to show it.  The sweatshirt originally came in this “red cinnamon” color and like a dusty purple, and I hope both of those colors get restocked soon.

FOR THE KIDS:

* Any young girl would get a kick out of these unicorn slippers.

* If you’ve got a toddler, this Melissa and Doug blender play set is adorable.

* This hatch nightlighht would be good for your 5 year old or your teenager!  It’s a sound machine, and it uses light for an alarm clock.  SO COOL.

* Find a good selection of puzzles and games HERE.
