Festive for July 4th | Red, White, and Blue Outfit Ideas

Happy Friday, Ladies!

Well, we are several weeks into summer vacation now, and I can hardly believe it.  July 4th is just around the corner (at only 13 days away) and I’ve got red, white, and blue on the brain.

Today I’ve partnered up with Nordstrom and ShopStyle, and I have TONS of outfit inspiration for y’all.  As evidenced by the requests I’ve been receiving lately, everybody wants to be FESTIVE FOR THE 4th!  We all want to look cute when heading to our neighborhood gatherings and barbecues, and I’ve got us all covered today!

When I did this post last year, I bought red lipstick for the occasion because I felt like all of the outfits deserved a red lip.  I thought I was just buying it for the post, but now I wear it all year long when I want a vibrant lip.  There are so many reds to choose from that it can be overwhelming, but I went with THE red that is supposed to be great on all skin tones (it’s a great blue-red).  It’s called “Ruby Woo” and it really does look awesome on everybody!  (If you missed my make up post a couple of month’s ago, click HERE.  The post has Before and After pics, so you know you want to see them.  It also shows side by side pics of me wearing my 3 favorite lipsticks. )

FOURTH OF JULY OUTFIT IDEA #1

You saw this adorable tee in olive green HERE, but I grabbed it in navy to give y’all an easy option for the 4th.

This is obviously a tee that can be worn year round, but when you pair it with reds and whites, it’s all of a sudden super festive!  I’m wearing a small.

The shorts are stretchy, comfy, and not see thru. They are true to size, but because of the stretch, I would suggest sizing down if between sizes.  I’m in my normal size 27s.

Now let’s talk about these darling earrings.  I’m wearing them in the majority of outfits today because they provide the perfect pop of red.  They are crochet and incredibly lightweight.  They also come in turquoise and yellow, but the red was obviously the only choice for today’s post.

This small cross body also comes in a navy stripe and a neutral stripe (love them too), but I of course had to grab the red for today!

And when talking all things festive, these flip flops had to make the list! Red, white, blue, and OH SO CUTE and COMFY!  I’m typically a 6 1/2, and the 7s are perfect.  You might also want to check out these braided sandals that come in red, white, and blue (among other colors)…and they are ON SALE!

Look. How. Cute.

This tee needs no explanation, but it definitely makes me smile.  Pair it up with some fun red statement earrings and you are good to go!  I also grabbed these patriotic flip flops thinking that many of you might want a super casual flip flop for your 4th.

FOURTH OF JULY OUTFIT IDEA #3

I’ve had this top for several weeks now, and I never once thought about it as a good top for the 4th until I started to plan for this post.  When I saw it hanging in my closet next to my other red, white, and blue items…the light bulb went off.  I’m wearing a small, and it’s a boxy and relaxed fit.

This white raffia bag comes in black too and has an interior bag that can be a stand alone clutch

It can be carried by the cute little wooden handle or worn as a cross body.

I absolutely love these perfectly preppy 1901 button up shirts.  I have one in navy gingham, one in leopard, and I couldn’t say no to this bright and happy red gingham! I wear mediums in these button ups.

Somebody give me some apple pie and homemade vanilla ice cream when I’m wearing this outfit please.  #talkabout allamerican

Need a super casual top that will keep you cool on the 4th?  Look no further.  I also found this tank that ties at the shoulders!  SO FLIPPING CUTE!

FOURTH OF JULY OUTFIT IDEA #6

Just in case you have an event to attend that requires more than a pair of cut offs, I threw in this adorable navy and white striped maxi skirt.  I’m guessing many of you already have the white tee, the must have jacket, and the must have wedges……so all you need is the skirt and the earrings to make things festive!

THIS. SKIRT. IS. DARLING.

And not just kind of darling, realllllllllllllllly darling.

It’s comfy as all get out, but the belted waist and the side slits really kick up the cute factor.

I’m wearing the regular small (with tall wedges), and I have really long legs for my 5’4″ frame…so that should be good news for your taller ladies.

And since I’m guessing a lot of you will be at outdoor events where you won’t want a jacket, here’s the look without it!

I’ve got one more new outfit for you today, and this one screams July 4th!  Just give me a hot dog, the ingredients for smore’s, and some sparklers and I’ll be READY TO GO!

These matte black sunglasses are my absolute favorite sunglasses of all times.  They just look cool.

And for those of you that love a boxy tee like me, this one is for you!  I’m wearing a small, and it’s still oversized.  There’s also a navy/white version!

This is one of the 2 bracelet stacks I’ve worn in this post.  The multicolor bracelet is a single bracelet that comes on it’s own and the rest of them come in a set.

One more thing….I can’t let you go before talking about the famous Nordstrom Anniversary Sale that is right around the corner.  If you are new here, the sale is a HUGE EVENT that Nordstrom hosts every July.  They release new Fall items at DEEPLY discounted prices and people LOSE THEIR EVER LOVING MINDS.   And it’s SOOOO MUCH FUN.

It’s a great time to stock up on fall closet staples and score some incredible deals.  I’ve seriously already started planning my strategy y’all, and as always, please consider me your Anniversary Sale tour guide.  I’ll find all the best deals, and y’all can just come along for the ride. It starts for cardholders on July 11th, and getting a card for early access to the Anniversary Sale is NECESSARY.  #trust  History has proven that some of the popular items will sell out before public access, so early access really is key.  So grab the card (if you don’t already have it) and start carb loading.  You need the card and energy.  Ha!

    Per your posts on Walmart, I already purchased a star tank top from that retailer. I started peeking by blogger influence. But – of course you have a slew of awesome choices here TODAY from Nordy’s. Was TOTALLY ready to buy yet another shirt for for 4th (the b/r/w stripe 1901 tank) but it’s sold out.
