Happy Wednesday! It’s time for everybody to join up today with Shay and me and let us know WHAT’S UP this fine Wednesday!
Let’s get right to it!

WHAT WE ARE EATING
This salmon is one of my new favorite Trader Joe’s finds! I used to always buy fresh salmon, but a couple of times I missed the window on cooking it, and I had to throw it away WHICH WAS TERRIBLE. These little individual frozen salmon filets are perfect for us. A lot of time when Chris grills steak, I’ll pop one of these bad boys in the oven for me (even though I love steak too). And Carter loves salmon so much, he’ll sometimes even eat it for lunch. You can defrost it in warm water just 30 minutes before cooking (I just bake it for like 15-20 minutes on 400), which makes it incredibly convenient. And it’s so delicious! We’ll eat it warm with a couple of veggies for dinner, but I also love it cold for lunch on a plate with some tomatoes and crackers. I’m pretty sure it’s $4.99 per filet.
This chicken is another new find. It’s in the refrigerated section next to the prepared soups, sandwiches, and salads. You can get rosemary or lemon pepper, but the lemon pepper is our favorite. I slice it up or shred it, season it a bit more with some salt and pepper (or sometimes the citrus seasoning or ETBTB seasoning), and it’s a perfect way to add protein to a salad.
This is often my GO TO lunch, and Chris and I have even eaten it for dinner a couple of times this summer. This particular salad has mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, black olives, avocado, croutons, and a hard boiled egg! YUM. I change things up depending on what I’ve got in the fridge.
I grabbed these tomatoes just yesterday and OHHHHHHEMMMMMMMMMGEEEEEEEEE. Home grown tomatoes are my favorite, but store bought tomatoes typically don’t even come close to comparing. These pearl tomatoes on the vine are soooooo yummy and really remind me of the home grown tomato taste!

WHAT I’M LOVING
I’m loving the slower pace of summer, and if we’re being honest, I’m already starting to panic that we’ll be back to school in 6 weeks.
These two are loving the extra snuggle time.
Buddy hangs out in the kitchen most of the time while I’m cooking, just hoping for a stray scrap or that I’ll drop something on the floor. His sweet face is a favorite.
Carter and many of his friends have had conditioning camp all summer, and having all of them in the car during carpool is SO MUCH FUN. I’ll get a pic of the whole group soon, but Carter and Jackson also did a basketball camp last week in the afternoons. On the last day, I took them to grab Mod Pizza between camps. Spending time with Carter and his friends is always a favorite. Oh the conversations they have! Haha!

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO
Last week I shared that we’d been to Galveston for the weekend with friends (see what I packed and wore HERE), and I promised I would share more pics of our trip! The house was amazing (we bid on it at the Manda Strong gala in early 2020), and we will definitely be booking it again. I’m not going to share the link to the house quite yet because we haven’t booked yet for next summer, but I will soon.
The property was on the bay side, it had a boat dock, and it had an incredible covered patio and pool with several seating areas and an outdoor kitchen. It was perfect for our group.
We actually spent most of our time at the house. The dads and boys went fishing every day, we went to the beach for 1 afternoon, and we went out to dinner the last night….but we spent the rest of the time at the house. I’m just going to let the pictures do the talking.
Carter caught 2 stingrays!
I got several questions about Carter’s hat, and you can find it HERE. If you have a husband or son that loves fishing, they will love this hat! You can find his fishing shirt HERE.
striped cover up /demi stud earrings / beach chairs
That’s it! We grabbed a quick pic after packing up on Sunday morning, right before we hopped in our cars to head home. We had the best time with family and friends that are like family. I sure do love these people.

WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT
Some pics popped up in my TimeHop from when we were in Galveston 9 years ago.
Love these baby faces.

WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT
COLLEN ROTHSCHILD SALE CODE
I’VE GOT AN AWESOME CODE FOR Y’ALL TODAY!!!
When in Galveston, I took both my skin and hair travel kits from Colleen Rothschild and was SO THANKFUL to have my favorite products with me. They are so easy to pack and I never like being without my faves, so the travel kits are perfect for me.
I contacted Katie, my rep at Colleen Rothschild to ask her if she would do a special code for us for the kits.
She said “HECK YES!” And then she said she would make it good for the entire site (in case you have empties you need to restock or you want to try a new product)! Thanks, Katie!
Code: STMT25
DEAL: 25% OFF the travel kits AND THE ENTIRE SITE! WOOHOO! (This is the same discount as their biggest site wide sale of the whole year.)
travel hair kit / travel skin kit
- Radiant Cleansing Balm, 30 ml (1 fl oz)
- Dual Enzyme Polish, 15 ml (0.5 fl oz)
- Clarifying Detox Mask, 15 ml (0.5 fl oz)
- Sheer Renewal Cream, 30 ml (1 fl oz)
- Extreme Recovery Cream, 15 ml (0.5 fl oz)
- Face Oil N°9, 4 ml (0.14 fl oz)
- Muslin Cleansing Cloth
- And a newly redesigned exclusive CR Travel Bag
The hair travel kit is just as awesome as the skin travel kit. It includes the shampoo, the hair mask (that I use as conditioner), the hair serum, the styling cream, and a scrunchie. The shampoo isn’t my favorite, but out of convenience of it being in the kit, I do use it when traveling. I LOVE EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE KIT. With the STMT25 code, it takes the price down to $40.50 for the entire kit (reg. $54).
Quench and Shine Trial and Travel Essentials
These products are AMAZING. My mom swears by them too. She was complaining to me about her “old lady hair” and saying it was dry and brittle. She started using the mask and the serum, and she says the results were pretty much immediate!
Quench and Shine Trial and Travel Essentials
And remember, they were kind enough to extend the STMT25 code to the entire site! Right now there’s a 20% OFF code on the site, but STMT readers get 25%!!!
If you’re not sure where to start, head to the “SKIN CONCERNS” tab at the top of their site and click on the problem area you would like to target (ex. blemishes, fine lines and wrinkles, hydration, etc). Read the product information and the reviews and figure out a great start place. If you’re already a Colleen lover, this is a great time to replenish some things you are low on or maybe try out a couple of things you’ve been interested in!
My Top 3 favorite products right now are the Radiant Cleansing Balm (always), the Glycolic Acid Peel Pads (my newest favorite), and the Mandelic Acid Radiance Serum (go read the reviews for yourself). But I’m also OBSESSED with the Tahitian Manoi Cream Oil Body Wash as well as the Hair Mask and the Smooth and Shine Hair Serum. Oh wait! The microfiber hair towel is another new favorite. It’s like magic.
But I’m telling you, I swear by so many of her products. I regularly use the Vitamin C Treatment Complex, the eye cream, the micro mineral resurfacing scrub, and the retinol treatment complex.
THE PRODUCTS ARE INCREDIBLE. TRULY.
I asked for feedback on Facebook awhile back, and you can click HERE to read tons of comments from STMT readers on their favorite products and WHY they are their favorites. I know I love to read about why others love products, so I thought y’all might want to also!
Below are just some of the comments that were shared with me on instagram stories. Reading them might help you decide what you want to try for yourself! SERIOUSLY. READ THEM!

KENDRA SCOTT SALE
Kendra Scott has a Star-Spangled Sale going on right now (but it’s not just star jewelry)! You can get 20% off fashion jewelry, including an extra 20% off markdowns.
Click HERE to shop the entire sale! Click HERE to shop the SALE ON SALE and find some really incredible deals.
Here’s a round up of some of my current KS favorites…
This star necklace is a favorite year round, but I especially love it during the summer months and it’s obviously perfect for July 4th!
star necklace / click HERE if you are interested in the makeup!
The paracord earrings and the layered necklace are both 20% OFF! The earrings are so colorful and vibrant.
tee / tropic duster / sunglasses / paracord earrings / layered necklace / Hudson turquoise bracelet / denim shorts / rattan bag (similar bag with overnight shipping HERE) / sandals (size up a 1/2)
These beaded hoop earrings and this layered necklace are great staples.
tee / striped kimono / sunglasses / beaded hoop earrings / layered necklace / denim shorts
Here’s the paracord earrings again. I just love how bright, colorful, and unique they are. I’m wearing the “gold coral mix”, but they also come in a “gold mint mix”. There’s a matching bracelet too.
And if you come around here often, you know that I wear this sweet little necklace just about every day. I totally recommend grabbing it for 20% OFF, which makes it under $40 right now.
square neck pin tuck top / sunglasses / paracord earrings / delicate necklace
These turquoise earrings became fast favorites for me. And now they are 20% OFF! They are teeny tiny, and although there’s just 1 post, there’s 2 little studs. They are so fun to wear, a little bit edgy, and I’ve received so many compliments on them. When you wear them horizontally, it even kind of looks like there are 2 studs in separate holes. They’re awesome. They also come in coral and white.
white long sleeve tee / turquoise earrings / layered necklace
Here’s another shot of the earrings…
And they look great with this turquoise crystal necklace.
pink striped top / military jacket / sunglasses / turquoise earrings / turquoise crystal necklace
pink bracelet / turquoise crystal bracelet
Here are the layered necklace and these beaded hoop earrings again. They go with EVERYTHING.
linen blend tee / long line cardigan / sunglasses / beaded hoop earrings / layered necklace / bag / bandana / white jeans / wedges
These hoops are VERY big (seriously big), VERY light, VERY comfortable, and SO MUCH FUN. Only a few left!
colorful hoop earrings / dainty necklace / colorful wrap bracelet / turquoise bracelet
These hoops are in my Top 3 of favorite earrings I have ever owned. And that’s saying something y’all, because I’ve owned a lot of earrings. They are light as a feather, but they manage to still make quite a statement because of their size. And even though they are large, I can wear them all day long without issue. I’m wearing the gold and really love the brushed gold as opposed to a shiny gold.
I’m wearing the dainty logo necklace again, and although I most often wear it by itself, you can see how I’ve layered it here with a long pendant necklace.
statement hoops / dainty necklace / mother of pearl Rayne necklace
The love knot earrings are another classic. They come in gold, silver, rose gold and a mixed metal! They are a great pair of everyday earrings that you will find yourself reaching for all the time.
hot pink sweater / military jacket / Amazon sunglasses / wood tassel necklace / love knot earrings / jeans / camo wedge sneakers
These turquoise earrings have been a favorite of mine for at least 5 years now. The turquoise is gorgeous and bright, but I love the bronze vein that runs through them that gives them some added interest.
turquoise earrings with bronze vein / colorful wrap bracelet / turquoise bracelet
Jewelry organizers are also included in the sale!
Click HERE for my earring holders from Kendra Scott. I really do think they are stunning and would highly recommend them, but I understand they are crazy expensive. 20% OFF helps though! (Because of the price, I went on a search over on Amazon and found THIS option that is much more affordable!)
The antique brass T Bar jewelry stand is perfect for delicate necklaces so they won’t get tangled, but it could be used for bracelets too. (Click HERE for some more affordable options from Amazon.)
This large jewelry box is quite an investment, BUT IT IS STUNNING. And it holds soooooooooooo much jewelry. Keep in mind, I have crazy amounts of jewelry because I’ve been blogging for 8 years now. A girl can accumulate a lot of jewelry over that time period, especially when they are a Kendra Scott ambassador! I sure do love displaying it and keeping it all organized so nicely.
Click HERE for a $21 option from Amazon. It’s not nearly as large (or as fancy), but it will get the job done and has fantastic reviews!

WHAT I’M WORKING ON
The bracelets are designed and approved, and I’m already working on getting the pictures shot for my next Victoria Emerson design collaboration! Y’all are going to die when you see the new bracelets. They are for fall, and they are amazing.

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO
Right now it’s Monday night and I have a Lifetime movie playing in the background while working on this post. It’s so bad, it’s good.
***********************
WHAT I’M WATCHING
Did you remember when I told y’all I was binge watching Ted Lasso? Well, the 2nd season is about to come out, so we are watching season 1 again. It’s such a charming little show, and Chris and I laugh SO HARD when watching it! It’s not for kids, but it’s definitely a show you can binge watch on your own or with your hubby! It’s got so much heart, and I really love every single one of the characters.

WHAT I’M WEARING
You saw this outfit at the bottom of my beauty post on Monday, but I know some of y’all prefer to see the outfits in selfie form, so here’s the dress again!
The dress also comes in a solid light grey and a neutral zebra, but no surprise here, I was drawn to the blue and white stripes. It’s a cotton jersey with a relaxed fit, and I really love the drawstring waist and the pockets. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
blue and white striped dress / sunglasses / open frame pearl earrings / charm necklace / bracelet set / small leather bag with strap/ cognac sandals
And I styled it a bit differently here. I changed up the bag and accessories for a more fun look! I’ll be wearing it all summer long, but it truly is a perfect dress for the 4th…especially when paired with a red lip and red earrings.
blue and white striped dress / super similar red earrings / silver star necklace / rattan bag with circle handle / shoreline converse
My earrings are sold out, but these are super similar and perfect for the 4th. The silver star necklace is perfect too, and it’s 20% OFF right now!

I stacked the LOVE bracelet stack with the red and white bracelets from this set for a super cute and super affordable look!
red and white disc bracelets / LOVE bracelet stack / blue and white striped dress / rattan bag with circle handle /
I loved my coral striped pjs so much that I bought the neutral version too. It just made good sense. Now the coral ones can get a break. Haha!
I’m wearing a small in the henley and in the shorts. I typically size up in lounge sets like this, but it’s oversized, so my regular size is perfect and still a relaxed fit with some extra room. Use the code SHEAFFER15 for 15% OFF.

BACK IN STOCK
These really great basic tees are BACK in black and leopard and the pink and striped combo! They’ve been sold out FOREVER.
These tees are a great thickness. They are thicker than the Madewell tees we all wear (and hold up better in the wash in my opinion), but they aren’t so thick that they are hot. They are a 100% cotton, and I like the modest v neck.
I’m wearing a small in all 4 of the tees I’m about to show you, but I would size up if between sizes because there’s not much give to them, and the smalls are pretty fitted on me. A medium would probably be better on me because they are pretty tight across the bust.
hot pink tee / sea green earrings / dainty necklace /sea green necklace / rainbow bracelets / denim shorts / strappy sandals (size up a 1/2)
Here’s the blue stripe! They are a sturdy knit and wash beautifully.
striped tee / sea green earrings / dainty necklace /sea green necklace / rainbow bracelets / denim shorts / strappy sandals (size up a 1/2)
This leopard tee comes in a 2 pack with a plain black tee, and if you’re like me, you can always use another plain black tee. You really need to go check out all of the color combinations available! Again, I’m wearing a small, but I need a medium.
leopard tee / statement earrings / dainty necklace / link bracelets / denim shorts /neutral patent sandals (size up a 1/2)
Here’s the awesome solid black tee. It’s a perfect basic for your closet.
striped tee / statement earrings / dainty necklace / link bracelets / denim shorts /neutral patent sandals (size up a 1/2)
Such a great outfit formula.

I noticed that this collage I made earlier this spring still had everything in stock! So, since we’re in full blown summer mode now, I wanted to repost it.
Somebody get me to a pool. With a magazine. And a drink with a little umbrella in it.
Pretty please.
I have last year’s version of the blue floral swimsuit (in a green floral) and I have last year’s version of the blue strapless suit (in a creamy floral pattern). Both suits are adorable, flattering, and have full booty coverage! Also, they both have EXCELLENT reviews and are UNDER $40!
I love a simple white cover up, the Fake Bake is my favorite self tanner (so easy to apply!), and I’m dying over the yellow bow sandals. SO CUTE.

Can’t wait to see your fall Victoria Emerson collection! I love, love the two bracelets I got from the summer line. Can you recommend a good cami/tank to wear under sheer or low cut tops? Thanks!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Lorie! Thanks for being excited for me!!! 🙂 I love the BP cami tanks you can find at Nordstrom, and I think they are only like $12. Size up because they are super fitted. xoxo
Deb says
A while ago you shared a necklace holder you had in your closet that attached to the wall. Would you happen to have the link for that?
Thanks!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Deb! It’s actually a belt rack that was installed when California Closets designed the closet. I’m thinking any old belt rack would work though! Hope this helps! xoxo

Hey, just got the LOFT Tropic Duster I ordered…paired with white Madewell tee and white shorts and threw on the infamous Rainbow Tassel, and voila! Cute, fresh, bright and summery. Try it with your rainbow tassel!
