Today’s post is sponsored by Walmart and ShopStyle. The product selections are my own, and I only highlight and promote pieces that I truly love. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Sheaffer Told Me To!
My first post in the We Dress America Summer series was on the first Monday of summer. In that first post I highlighted a couple of outfits from our Memorial Day trip to our family ranch house.
If you’re a regular reader, you know the ranch is my family’s favorite place. And since we never like to be away for too long, after looking at our summer calendars, we took an impromptu trip with just our little family a couple of weeks ago. It was wonderful. Most of the time when we go to the ranch, we have at least 1 (and sometimes several) other families with us. We love having the house all filled up with people, but it was a nice change of pace to have it be just us for a couple of days. The focused family time was so nice.
So, I snapped more pics on this last trip, and today is PART 2 in the series! I think you will see that the We Dress America movement is continuing to hit it out of the park with their pieces and of course their prices. Gauging from the comments section on the blog and on social media, I’m not the only one that has been pleasantly surprised at the clothes they have to offer. Y’all definitely are too! I’ve received the most amazing and most frequent feedback about the denim shorts I love (y’all are just as obsessed as I am) and you are going to get to see 1 of those pairs in today’s post!
WE DRESS AMERICA SUMMER SERIES
As part of this summer series, we were encouraged to show our favorite clothing picks in some of our favorite places. I explained last time how pictures at the ranch were a no brainer for me since we cherish our time there as a family. The next post in the series will be somewhere other than the ranch (no spoiler alerts from me!), but I felt like the ranch deserved 2 full posts.
I kept it super casual on this particular weekend and packed everything in this tote you see here and in the rainbow tote you’ll see at the bottom of the post! When no hair dryer (or rollers) are needed, it really cuts down on needed packing space! Haha!
This under $10 tee is perfect for a casual ranch weekend, but it’s cute enough to wear anytime! As you’ll see in a bit, I went ahead and grabbed it in 2 of the 4 colors, because WHY NOT when it’s under $10. It’s the perfect thickness for a tee, and I love that it’s not tunic length like so many other tees our there right now. If you prefer a half tuck, you can definitely still do one if you wish. I’m wearing a small in the tee, and there is plenty of room. If you don’t have a large chest, you might even consider sizing down.

These frayed hem denim shorts are FABULOUS. And as I mentioned previously, lots of readers love them too! They’ve got a bit of stretch, the fit is cute and comfy, and they ring in at just $13.92! And great news, popular sizes were sold out, but they are now BACK IN STOCK!
The frayed hem is done really well (and has held up perfectly in the wash), and they look much more expensive than they are.
I sized up to a 6 in the “pebble” and in the white, and I like the bit of extra room the size up gives because I don’t like my denim shorts too tight! If you don’t want them to have a super relaxed fit, you can definitely stick with your regular size. (My regular 4s did fit, I just loved the super relaxed fit of the 6s. Maybe that’s because of all of the dip eating we do at the ranch. Ha!)
The colorful woven tote is just as roomy as it is darling. I was able to pack everything I needed in it for a quick little 2-day trip, but it’s not so big that you couldn’t carry it as an everyday bag as well.
I was drawn to this multicolor pattern, but I also really love the black and white graphic option with the brightly colored tassel as well as the hot pink ikat. Click HERE to see all options!
The size isn’t overwhelming, but my goodness I was able to stuff it full with everything I needed.
The earrings aren’t sold online, but I highly encourage you to check out the jewelry section next time you are in store! There are so many great options for under $10. These particular earrings were under $5 and are the same Time and Tru brand as my tee and shorts.

The sandals are such a great find. I chose the metallic and cognac combination, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how much they go with. They can be easily dressed up or down, and they are quite comfy. I found them to be true to size. Click HERE for a great cognac option by Sam Edelman (sold at Walmart)!
The entire outfit is casual, cute, and super affordable.

And because this tee is under $10, I grabbed a second color as well.
It really was the perfect outfit for a super casual day at the ranch. It was even comfy enough for napping. The boys were out doing boy things on Saturday afternoon, and I watched Bravo and napped off and on for a good portion of the day. It was glorious.
When at the ranch, we sometimes cool off by hopping in the tank right out in front of our house or driving to our friend’s place that’s on a small lake. We didn’t this time, but I’d packed stuff just in case!
The beach bag is super cute, super affordable, and holds a ton! I can fit four towels, a large zippered pouch (I got the rainbow!) that holds all of our sunscreen, and several water bottles and snacks. The bag made it to my $25 and Under Summer Essentials post, so it might look familiar.
Click HERE for all Time and Tru swimsuit options and HERE for their cover up options. There are lots of great one pieces, tankinis, and bikinis that are all very affordable. Especially when talking about hanging out at a lake, I definitely like to stick to inexpensive swimsuits.
Before you go, I wanted to leave you with my 2 favorite pictures from our weekend. Carter caught a great fish and was oh so proud! (He was rocking some Walmart finds too! )
And check out this sunset! The boys hopped in the paddle boat for a quick evening fishing excursion (you can see the paddle boat in the middle of the picture), and I sure did like my view of them out there. I’m so thankful for this little family of mine and this little spot where we get to soak up quality time together.
That’s all for today, everybody! I hope you were able to pick up some amazing pieces for incredible prices! You can click HERE to check out the We Dress America looks for the whole family and HERE to browse women’s summer trends.
