Happy Monday, Everybody! I don’t know about y’all, but I’m sooooooooo happy to start a new week! Last week was definitely not my best. I was sick most of the week and felt like I was running 90 mph the rest of the week trying to catch up after being sick. I’m feeling 100% now, and I’m ready to have a nice and normal week over here.
So, what are we talking about today?
McKinney had a couple of cool mornings last week and they got me all sorts of fired up for fall! Because cool mornings mean that sweater weather is just around the corner. I can feel it in my bones! And when it gets here, I’m gonna be ready with all sorts of cute sweaters! #givemeallthesweaters
So in honor of the cooler weather, today we’re talking sweaters! I’ve rounded up 6 DARLING sweaters/sweatshirts from one of my favorite retailers, Walmart, and all are under $40! A handful of them are even under $20! WHAT?
Actually, the prices on everything I’m wearing today are insane. You could grab the jeans, a sweater, and one of the pairs of sneakers, and you could spend under $60 for all 3. So, get ready to be amazed by the cuteness, and go ahead and join me in my sweater obsession.
MIXED STITCH SWEATER
Let’s kick things off with a classic crewneck with a little extra personality. This gray sweater is totally simple and super casual. It’s a cable knit with the cutest mixed stitch pattern that elevates it a bit, and I don’t think you can every go wrong with gray.
It’s really soft with a relaxed fit, and I couldn’t believe the $17.98 price tag.
Isn’t the mixed stitch pattern so cute? It looks much more expensive than it is!
Ladies, these straight leg jeans are so soooooooooooooooo good, and they are the jeans that I’m wearing in all 6 outfits today. The fact that they are ONLY $16.87 is pretty unbelievable. I’m wearing the light wash here, but they also come in a dark and a medium wash. Heck, if you can’t decide what color you want, you could buy all 3 pairs for right at $50! #whoah
They are 70% Cotton/28% Polyester/2% Spandex, which means that they do have the bit of stretch that I now REQUIRE in a pair of jeans. Because as I’ve gotten older, I’ve determined that life is too short to wear jeans that don’t have some give. They are a great fit, and I love the on trend straight legged styling. I read several reviews, some saying they ran small and some saying they were too long. Because of this, I ordered 2 different sizes. I ordered a regular 6 and I ordered an 8 Petite. I would have ordered a 6 Petite, but for some reason the petite sizing doesn’t start until size 8.
I think I would like a 6 Petite the best if they had them available, but I went with the 8 Petite because I liked the length.
PUFF SLEEVE SWEATSHIRT
Hello, cutie! (Okay, I just read that, and I want to make it clear that I’m calling the sweatshirt “cutie”, I’m definitely not calling myself cutie. I just want to be crystal clear. Haha!)
This adorable sweatshirt has cool colors, a fun graphic pattern, and pleated puff sleaves. What’s not to love? It also comes in a fun black sweatshirt with organic dots! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
Just like I’m wearing the same jeans in all 6 outfits, you are going to see this crossbody bag in all 6 outfits today as well. It’s a pretty cream color, it’s a nice medium size, and I love the crossbody styling. It also comes in black, cognac, and blush.
The sleeves are dramatic, but not too over the top. I love them.
The banded hem and cuffs add a nice design element as well.
I’m super sad that it looks like this layered bangle bracelet is no longer available online. I picked mine up at my local Walmart, and I think it’s definitely worth a pop in into your store to see if you can grab it too!
Now let’s talk about these sneakers.
They are soooooooooo comfy and soooooo cushy (thanks to the memory foam!), sooooo cute, and they are just under $20.
I’m in love with the retro styling and the neutral colorway. I’ll be wearing them this fall of course, but they’ll also be great through winter and into spring. These are actually awesome year-round sneakers. I’ll definitely be wearing them with leggings as well.
V NECK SWEATER
If you prefer a slouchy fit, you’ll love this ribbed pullover. It’s soft and lightweight with an oversized sleeve and drop shoulder. This hot pink spoke to me, but it also comes in black and gray. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but I think I would prefer the fit of the small.
These hoops have a great hammered finish, they are super lightweight, and they are only $3.88! Throw them in your cart for sure!
Check out the jeans again, because they’re reallllllly good. A great way to try out the straight-leg trend for not a lot of money!
These camo sneakers were in my Top 3 favorite Walmart Finds from last year, so I was thrilled to see they brought them back this year!
They are an awesome option if you want to add a fashion sneaker to your wardrobe, but you don’t want to pay the $150-$500 for some of the more well-known sneaker brands of the moment. They are super comfy, have a cushiony foot bed, and they are just so dang cute. True to size for me. Styling Tip: Instead of tying the laces like you typically would with a sneaker, I tied them so they can be slip on sneakers (like the designer sneakers).
FLORAL CREWNECK SWEATER
I love the leaf/floral pattern of this baby. I think it looks designer, BUT IT’S UNDER $20.
It’s super soft and a touch thick, so it will keep us all warm. And the colors are beautiful in this one! I love how it combines blush, magenta, and orange! I think it’s an unexpected color combination that is absolutely gorgeous.
For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
This one is a favorite for sure.
POLKA DOT SWEATER
But wait a second! This one is a favorite too!
This is actually the same sweater as above, just in a different colorway and pattern.
I think these large polka dots are whimsical and fun!
And again, I can’t believe it’s UNDER $20!
QUILTED PUFF SLEEVE CARDI
This is another option that is more sweatshirt than sweater, and I love it!
This rust color is fall perfection, the quilted pattern is very “in”, and I just can’t quit a pleated and puffy sleeve. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
This one also comes in salmon and black, and at under $30, I think it’s a great buy!
So, are y’all as blown away by these sweaters as I am? And it’s just not just the sweaters! It’s the jeans, shoes, and jewelry too! I truly am delighted with these fabulous finds. AND THEIR PRICES? Forget about it! It is my hope that y’all are willing to try out some Walmart clothes today, even if you never have before. The quality and the cute factor are both EXCELLENT!
