Today’s post is sponsored by Walmart and ShopStyle! The product selections are my own, and I only highlight and promote pieces that I truly love. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Sheaffer Told Me To!
Hi, friends! Happy first Monday of summer to everybody! We are only a handful of days into summer over here, but we’ve already found our groove. Chilling during the summer months is like riding a bike, and we immediately remembered that we are reallllly good at summer. The first couple of weeks our only plans are to take it easy. Lots of chilling, swimming, grilling out, board games, a soccer game here and there, and family movies. None of Carter’s camps start until the 3rd week of summer, so until then, we are living it up! We like to stay up late, and then Carter likes to sleep in like a teenager. I finally woke him up at 11:30 on Friday to which he declared “I’m so happy and cozy.” Yep, we are good at summer.
Speaking of Summer…
We talked about Walmart a couple of times back in April, and many of y’all were just as pumped about the amazing deals as I was. I mean, we all love a great deal, right? I had a lot of fun doing those April posts, so I was thrilled to sign on for their We Dress America Summer series.
The We Dress America campaign has already begun to ramp up for Summer, and they are continuing to hit it out of the park with their pieces and of course their prices. And gauging from the comments section on the blog and on social media, I’m not the only one that has been pleasantly surprised at the clothes they have to offer. Y’all definitely are too!
I received so many encouraging and supportive comments about how you were happy to have such budget friendly finds featured on the blog. And when I asked for READER REQUESTS on instastories, Walmart consistently showed up as a reader request. I’d never received Walmart requests before, so I took that to mean that all of those requests were the result of a successful Walmart shopping experience after my first couple of posts!
WE DRESS AMERICA SUMMER SERIES
As part of this summer series, we were encouraged to show our favorite clothing picks in some of our favorite places. So you know I immediately thought of the beloved family ranch. It’s our favorite place on earth and we absolutely cherish the times we spend there. We snapped these pics while spending Memorial Day there with friends and family. Since I knew I wanted the ranch to be a part of the campaign, I looked for casual shorts and tops. I was very pleased with my finds.
The outfits I ended up with for this first post are totally casual, really cute, and super affordable.
The blouse, shorts, bag, and sandals come in at a whopping $72. SEVENTY TWO dollars for all 4 pieces.
The side tie on this top is such a nice design detail. I’m wearing a small, but it’s still quite oversized, so it definitely needs the little tie to give the top some shape. I would actually suggest sizing down in the top. It comes in several colorways, and I’m highlighting 2 of them today.
These white denim shorts shorts are FABULOUS. They’ve got a bit of stretch, the fit is cute and comfy, and they ring in at just $13.92! They aren’t see thru, and I love the frayed hem. I sized up to a 6 in these, and I like the bit of extra room the size up gives. I don’t like my denim shorts too tight!
The sandals are such a great find. I chose the metallic and cognac combination, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how much they go with. They can be easily dressed up or down, and they are quite comfy. I found them to be true to size.
The sunglasses are well priced and totally cool. I have them in tortoise, but they also come in black.
AND Y’ALL! THE BAG! I teased this bag on last Friday’s post (in a flat lay) because I just couldn’t wait to show it!
It was a steal at $34, but it’s been marked down to $22 and I just can’t get over it. The wide blue and white stripe is totally chic, and the braided handles are so pretty. This bag is DARLING.
The other accessories are adorable, but they aren’t sold online, so you need to check out the accessories aisle next time you are in store. The bracelet stack is under $6 and the earrings are under $5. Both are the Time and Tru brand.

I ordered the navy stripe to show you, and it’s such an awesome bag! The woven straw…the leather handles…it’s all beautifully made! Click HERE to buy the navy stripe seen below.
Ladies. This is a fabulous bag.
This outfit follows the same outfit formula as above, and the shirt is the striped version of the same oversized side tie blouse.
And the denim shorts are still under $14! The pair above were frayed hem, but these are a cuffed hem with mild distressing. They are a different style, but they are still stretchy and comfy. Again, I decided to go up a size in these to make sure they were super comfortable. #missionaccomplished
You can see here how the top is a very relaxed fit.
This exact bag is sold out in this color, but you can find two other great color combos HERE. I actually showed one of the colorblock options back in April.
Here I am standing on the front porch of the Circle S ranch house. Do you see the brand?
Here’s an up close of all the accessories. Again, the earrings and bracelets are only sold in store.
