Today’s post is sponsored by Walmart and ShopStyle! The product selections are my own, and I only highlight and promote pieces that I truly love. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Sheaffer Told Me To!
Okay, ladies! We talked about Walmart last Monday, and we’re talking about it again today. They launched a We Dress America campaign, and they are hitting out of the park. Gauging from the comments section on the blog and on social media, I wasn’t the only one shocked by their darling clothes. Y’all definitely were too! I received a lot of pleasantly surprised “WHAT?!?” and “NO WAY!!!!!” comments….and I even received a couple of “Is this an April Fool’s Joke?” questions. Which totally made me lol, by the way. But it wasn’t a joke. The super cute pieces I featured were in fact from Walmart! You can click HERE to check out their We Dress America campaign for the whole family and HERE to browse women’s spring trends.
I received so many encouraging and supportive comments about how you were happy to have such budget friendly finds featured on the blog. For those of you that were concerned I was going to stop talking about the retailers I have in the past, there’s nothing to worry about! I think you’ll see this week that I’m remaining loyal to my favorite retailers, but I had a blast putting together this post, and I was thrilled that the vast majority of y’all were open to seeing my Walmart finds! So I happily signed on for a follow up post.
If you remember, in last week’s post I combined camo and stripes…and the stripes were represented in a darling navy and white striped sweater!
Well, I loved the sweater so much, I bought it in grey too.
That’s right…It was so nice, I bought it twice.
But instead of styling the grey sweater with camo, I just wanted to show how great it looks with both regular denim and white denim in more traditional outfits.
striped sweater /similar sunglasses / turquoise earrings (low stock, click HERE for lots of jewelry options) / boyfriend jeans / circle tote / bracelets / neutral wedges
Just like the navy sweater from last week, the grey version has the bright yellow and pink stripes on the sleeves. I love the fun and unexpected touch.
If you’ve been wanting to try a boyfriend jean, but haven’t wanted to spend the $$$, these boyfriend jeans are a wonderful option! Stretchy and comfy, but not too baggy, and true to size. I mean a great pair of jeans for $39.99! That’s amazing! (In last week’s post, I featured a pair of skinny jeans that are UNDER $17!)
This straw circle tote is adorable. I love the round shape and the handles are too cute. It packs a lot of style for just $17, and there’s also a pink and white color block option.
And these wedges are good. I think this neutral is perfect, but there are 5 additional colors as well. True to size, comfy, and under $40. They are casual enough to wear with jeans, but they would look great with a sundress too.
I love the outfit, and I feel cute and confident while wearing it! I also feel very savvy, because all of pieces are so incredibly affordable.

And then I switched it up just a bit, and traded out the denim boyfriend jeans for white cuffed jeans…and I switched from neutral wedges to brown sandals.
striped sweater /similar sunglasses / turquoise earrings/ white cuffed jeans / circle tote / bracelets / braided sandals
Another great outfit that doesn’t break the bank!
Ladies, the earrings come in 5 additional colors and are just under $5!
In addition to the colorful wrapped handles, there’s also faux leather straps that make it easy to carry the bag over your shoulder.
striped sweater / circle tote / bracelets
And y’all aren’t going to believe the sandals! Walmart is now carrying Sam Edelman! WHAT? These little braided beauties are awesome and come in black, white, and orange too. They are true to size, easy to walk in, and look more expensive than they are.
(Shopping tip: If you love a certain extremely popular designer sandal, but don’t love the price, click HERE for a great option for just $30!)
white boyfriend jeans / braided sandals
It’s just a perfect Spring outfit.

And to further illustrate the versatility of both sweaters, here’s the navy one from last week with the pieces from this week. (Click HERE to see it styled last week with skinny jeans, camo pieces, and white sneakers.)

I think it’s clear that I’m a huge fan of both colors of the striped sweater, and I’m really pumped that I also found 2 great pairs of denim shorts to pair them with for UNDER $15! I can’t say enough great things about the shorts, and I can’t believe the price point! I had several readers comment about these shorts last week, so it seems I’m not the first to know about them.

ON RIGHT: striped sweater / blush straw tote / white frayed shorts / braided sandals
Before you go, let’s talk swimsuits again.
Do you remember the burnt orange ruffle tankini from last Monday’s post? So many of y’all purchased it and have raved about it! It seems that we all appreciate a well priced swimsuit. Click HERE to see the suit in a flat lay (at the bottom of the post).
I was so impressed with the look of the suit AND the quality that I hopped online and grabbed two more! I can’t believe how adorable and affordable these suits are.
This bright floral caught my eye, and I loved the black accents. And I’m telling everybody I know about these rose gold slide sandals. THEY ARE UNDER $15, and a great option for this popular style that doesn’t cost a fortune.

Maybe you prefer a black swimsuit? #igotyoucovered
black graphic tankini top (plus size top)/ black side tie bikini bottom (matching bikini bottom option) / black ruffle one piece / Daydreaming hat / sunglasses / rose gold slide sandals
Here are some other suits, cover ups, and a darling tote with a tassel! Just click on what you are interested in!
That’s all for Walmart, everybody! Y’all let me know if you would like to see more from this retailer! I had so much fun putting these 2 posts together, and I would be willing to do more if it’s something that the majority of y’all are interested in. I’m still going to be posting my regular favorite stores, but I am definitely having a good time mixing it up a bit, and I’m enjoying the challenge! Respectfully sound off in the comments!
A huge thank you to Walmart and ShopStyle for sponsoring this post.
And make sure you come back here tomorrow! I’m posting all 5 days this week!!!

Those swimsuits are so dang cute!!! Is it summer yet?!
Beth says
Love it!!!
Julie says
I never thought I’d be saying this, but I wouldn’t mind an occasional Walmart post. I bought the navy striped sweater last week and truly love it. I never would have known about it if it weren’t for you. I need new swimsuits this year, so I will be ordering some of those today. I think I’m going to grab the ruffle tankini from last week and the floral one piece from this week. Thank you for all of your hard work!
Elizabeth says
I agree with Julie! An occasional post sounds great. Maybe one every 1-2 months?
Narci says
That floral swimsuit is so pretty! Love!
Savannah says
I love the Walmart posts. I just ordered the skinny jeans and the tennis shoes. Would not have known about either without your posts. It’s nice to be able to mix in some budget pieces that don’t look “ budget “. Thank you !
Erika Slaughter says
Girl!!! Wal-Mart is stepping their game up! Those suits are CUTE!
Kala says
I am loving the Walmart lately lol! Did you also know they have a dupe of the must have wedges?? They are only $20, I haven’t worn them fully yet but they seemed comfy when I tried them on. I have my eye on some of those shorts you featured!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Kala! Yes, I saw them! But I’m such a die hard devotee to my must haves that I haven’t tried them! 🙂 If you try them, let us know! xoxo
Jantzen Haley says
LOVE me a good Walmart find! You should take a look at WhoaWaitWalmart on Instagram or their blog. They started as a blog just finding cute things at Walmart for great prices, and it’s grown where they now have their own clothing line through Walmart! They cover everything from clothes to home decor to food to baby things and more!
Keisha Dawson says
I’m pretty shocked by the cute stuff that they have. i’m going to have to hit up a couple of the local stores for the swimsuits, since they aren’t available to buy online. I would have NEVER thought to look there! Thank you!
Angie Dinsmore says
That first outfit is ?? I have bought several cute spring tops from Walmart this year and I love each one!
April says
I love your Wal-Mart posts. They help people look cute on a budget! I ordered the Miller dupes and I love them so much! They are super cute and comfy, but would not work for a wide foot. Never in a million years would I pay $200 for a pair of flip flops, but my $40 pair are totally worth it!
Sheaffer says
Thanks for the feedback, April! Glad you love them! xoxo
Lindsay Webb says
I agree that it’s nice to see more budget friendly options! I tried on that ruffled tankini from last weeks post and it honestly fit strangely…I’ve gotten really cute bathing suits from Walmart before but that one was a miss for me. Those denim shorts however… I ordered them and LOVE them… a super cute, more affordable option!
Sheaffer says
Hey, Lindsay! Ah nuts! I love the ruffle tankini top! And yes, I’m legit obsessed with the shorts. I’ll probably show them on stories today! xoxo
Meia Evans says
I’ve never commented here before but I wanted to let you know I’ve enjoyed the Walmart posts! Like others, I’ve been pleasantly surprised. I actually checked out the Walmart while visiting my parents this past weekend in their town just to see what was in stock! I’ve never done that before either?thank you for all you do. Can’t wait to grab those shorts now!
Elizabeth says
Thanks for asking for comments. I would not buy any of these items and do prefer many of your other posts. Many times you find cute and affordable options that are not from big box stores.
Sheaffer says
I appreciate your respectful feedback, Elizabeth! Thank you! xoxo
Clara says
She literally posts from Amazon and Nordstrom 90% of the time but you have an issue with Walmart? ?
Darlene says
You should do a post on Dressbarn next! They have lots of great stuff
Laurie S says
Love your Wal-Mart posts! More please! I had seen the WhoaWaitWalmart IG account and now you’re singing their praises! I might need to spend some time in there…
Darlene says
You should do a Dressbarn post next! Their clothes are great quality and they have many of the same styles as Nordstroms as well
Sandy says
Yes! Love the budget options!! Walmart, target, old navy, jcpenney! Would love to see more from these kind of places mixed with the usuals! Love to see an outfit put together! You are so good at it!
Andrea says
First of all, let me just say that you are one of the very few people on the planet that could have convinced me to shop for clothes at Walmart. I have been looking for some conservative swimsuits for a Mexican vacation with our extended family. After seeing your post, I went to our local store to try them on since I wasn’t sure how the fit would be or if they would actually be cute in person. Once again, I have learned never to doubt your fashion savvy! The suits were all super cute, seemed well made, and, unlike a lot of other places, Walmart’s full coverage bottoms actually deliver on some full booty camouflage! Always listen up, people, when Sheaffer tell you to!!!
Sheaffer says
ANDREA! I loved this comment!!!!! I try very hard to never steer y’all wrong!!! I’m so happy to hear that you found the swimsuit quality to be excellent as well. I got a facebook comment today from a reader that said she’s been buying Walmart swimsuits for years, and she confirmed that they hold up and launder well too! Yipeeee! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Jessica says
I know I’m in the minority but I don’t care for Walmart. I don’t shop there unless I absolutely have to. Even though some of their clothes are cute, I have found that they are made and sized inconsistent. I would definitely like to see more budget friendly options, but also want quality. Thanks for all your hard work! I do appreciate what you do for your readers!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Jessica! I appreciate your feedback too! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Anita says
I love the more affordable, good quality posts…Walmart, Target, JCPenney, etc.
Heidi says
You found some great stuff! I would love to hear an update after you have worn the Walmart clothes a while to see how they hold up. I wasn’t sure I would find anything that worked for me at my local Walmart since I’m pregnant but so happy to find a similar short in a maternity style and I’m all set for summer now! Never would have thought to check Walmart without your suggestion so thank you!
Denise says
I ordered the camo duffel bag last week. This week I ordered the rose gold sandals and two other pairs of shoes and a striped top.
Haley says
I love that bag. It’s perfect for summer!
Kate says
Voting no for more Walmart posts.

You might talk to Tucker about WalMart shoes – he was a buyer for years
