*WHAT I’M EATING*

I shared this on instagram stories a couple of weeks ago, but I’ve been having these types of snacky lunches a lot lately.  On this plate you see leftover salmon, fresh avocado, fresh tomatoes, some homemade pickles from my friend Keeely (YUM!), and a couple of spoonfuls of the Trader Joe’s artichoke and jalapeno dip.  I take a Trader Joe’s reduced fat pita chip, spread a little dip on top, and then pile it high with different toppings.  So good.

I’ve always been a Trader Joe’s fan and usually found myself going about once a month, but recently I’ve been going once a week. In a future post, I’ll highlight my current favorites, but you can see many of them in this basket.

Even though it’s Summer, I cannot quit the Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato Soup.  And the dried mandarin oranges have pretty much become a full blown obsession.

*WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT*

With Father’s Day last weekend, I found myself going through old pics.  I found this one, and I think it was the first week we were home with Carter.  There are two babies in this photo!  My sweet boys.

*WHAT I’M LOVING*

I’ve had fun adding some more color to our front flower beds.  Calloway’s always has great choices!

I love it when readers message me with STMT outfits!  How cute is this reader in two of my favorite finds over the last several months.  Shout Out, Amy!

*WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO*

Last weekend we were at the ranch house with family.  We had the most amazing time and spent several hours at one of our friend’s private lakes on both Saturday and Sunday.

Our furry boys stayed at the cabin, but the friends have a Golden too!

The whole family used Supergoop, and nobody got a sunburn!

Supergoop Body Mist is my favorite.  It sprays a fine mist and applies so easily and evenly!

The Glow Stick is an easy way to reapply sunscreen to your face.

I never go without lip balm sun screen after I got that terrible sunburn on my lips a couple of summers ago.

But the Glow Screen (not pictured) is my new favorite sun protection product.  It’s SPF 40 and gives my face a healthy glow!  It’s awesome.

I’ve been kicking it old school and watching Grey’s Anatomy!  We’re talking when McDreamy and McSteamy were on the show.  And remember Denny?????  Gosh, I’ve loved this show for such a long time.

*WHAT I’M LISTENING TO*

Buddy and Charlie are both sleeping right beside me.  Buddy is snoring.

*WHAT I’M WORKING ON*

I’ve got a post coming up with Ann Taylor next week that I’m working on! I’ve taken all of the pictures, and I’m writing the post now.  I’m VERY excited to show y’all these shorts.  I got them in both black and khaki in a 6P.  They are the perfect shorts for when you need something nicer than a denim or a drawstring short.

Speaking of drawstring shorts, I have a Nordstrom post coming up on Friday where I’m talking about these drawstring shorts.  I have them in rust and wear a small.  I’m also really excited to show you these new studded sandals (I got them in tan) and this cute bag.

*WHAT I’M WEARING*

Nobody is as surprised as me, but I’m wearing the heck out of these patent sandals.  They are what I have on in all of my outfit pics at the beginning of today’s post. I initially ordered them only because there were lots of readers asking for reviews on them.  I don’t normally love sandals that go between my toes (I don’t love my toes), and so I just assumed these wouldn’t be for me.  Well, you know what they say about assuming.

They have a padded foot bed so they are comfy, the piece between my toes doesn’t bother me at all (as it often does in flip flops), and I love the neutral patent so much (although it does come in lots of other color choices as well).

I would recommend sizing up a 1/2.
