OUTFIT PLANNING

Back in April I did a post titled “Spring and Summer Outfit Planning“.  In the post, I played around with items and created outfits for me to wear at a later date.  I came up with some great combinations…combinations I might not have thought of if I was just throwing things on.  And I had a lot of fun doing it!  So…I think I’m going to do this once a month now.  I’ll plan the outfits in one post, and then I’ll show you the outfits on me in a subsequent post!

Let’s get started!

Outfit #1:  Scalloped One Shoulder Top and White Jeans

I put this top on the moment I received it, just to make sure it fit, and it did!  Now, I know this is kind of silly, but I wish the bow was on the other shoulder.  I often pull my hair over my shoulder on my left side, and the bow interferes with that habit.  Ha!  🙂 Maybe when I wear it I’ll just wear my hair in a ponytail!  I have a small, which is true to size for me, but if you don’t have a large chest you should be able to size down.  I love the fact that it’s long and has the precious scallops.  I mean, a bow AND scallops?  #yesplease

I know it’s kind of unexpected to pair gingham with leopard, but I love the look. I don’t think I would have grabbed this clutch if I had just been getting dressed in this outfit, but now I definitely will!

Outfit #2:  Embroidered Off The Shoulder Dress

Y’all know I’m a sucker for embroidery.  And I’m head over heels for this gorgeous red color (although it comes in other colors as well).  For size reference, I ordered the small for myself, but it was way too big.  The x-small is on it’s way to me.  I definitely suggest sizing down or you will be swimming in fabric.

Outfit #3:  Tie Tee, White Jeans, and FAB Earrings

As y’all have probably noticed by now, white jeans are a staple in my summer wardrobe.  I wear them constantly.  I paired them here with a new tee, but it’s not just a tee.  It’s super soft AND it has bell sleeves AND it has a cute little tie at the waist.  So, yeah.  It’s way better than just a regular ol’ t-shirt.

And y’all. THESE EARRINGS.  Brace yourself, because they are definitely a splurge.  However, if I wear them half as much as I wear my Gorgjana hoops, then they will be well worth the price tag.

I have a small in the shirt, so it’s true to size for me.  If you don’t have a large chest, you might even be able to size down.  The jeans are true to size, I have a 27.  If between sizes, you might want to size down.  They are super stretchy and very comfy!  Remember, these are the Carly jeans (I have 3 pairs) and they are so comfy I call them #pajamajeans.

Outfit #4:  Embroidered Off The Shoulder Top and Denim Shorts

I showed y’all a great striped one shoulder top with orange piping several weeks ago (click HERE for the post).  Most of you loved it, but you didn’t love the price tag of $99, so I found another one shoulder option for you!  The one shoulder top below is ONLY $39!  I sized up to a medium in the top.  I definitely needed the bit of extra length, so I’m not sure if this is going to work for you ladies that are over 5’6″ or so.

Here are the above shorts on.  I LOVE THEM.  And because I think you need to see a close up of the denim shorts again, here you go.  I’m wearing a 27 in these, so they are true to size.  If between sizes, size down. I also really love these $39 ones (size up in these).

Outfit #5:  Eyelet Off The Shoulder Top and Rainbow Tote

Click HERE to see this same top on me with white jeans, a funky clutch, and pink mosaic tassel earrings.  It’s a GREAT top, the elastic band at the top is really wide (as you can see), and it really stays put off the shoulders.  It’s very flattering.

Outfit #6:  Coral Off The Shoulder Top and Denim Shorts

Y’all have seen this top several times before because it’s definitely become a summer staple for me.   I have a small, but I do think it runs a little big.  I paired the top with my super reasonable denim shorts and my favorite summer flip flops (great with sundresses, but also great for the pool)!

Outfit #7:  Lace and Fringe Tee with Denim Shorts

OUTFIT #8:  WHITE JEANS AND WHITE TOP

I’m not sure I’ve ever done this before, but I’ve been seeing people pair white on white all over the place, and I think it’s time for me to try it too!  I jazzed it up here with a colorful necklace and colorful sandals, but I’m still excited to do the whole white on white thing!

OUTFIT #9: BLACK TIE TEE, ARMY GREEN SHORTS, AND FRINGE!

I put this outfit on social media over the weekend, and everybody loved it.  It’s just an easy outfit to wear that would look great on lots of people!  And the shorts are 40% OFF!  The darling sandals are on sale as well!

The crossbody is currently unavailable.  It looks like it’s white below, but it’s actually a soft blush.  It’s awesome, so I’m just going to keep my fingers crossed and my eyes peeled for a restock.
