Friday Favorites...ON THURSDAY...Because It's Just That Good

It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means! It’s time to link up with Erika, Andrea, and Narci to let everybody know what some of my favorite things are right now!

SKY RANCH

Back during the first week of December, I went to camp with my favorite little fella. In McKinney, the 5th graders at all the schools go to camp for several days, and our location was Sky Ranch! I went as a chaperone for a girl’s cabin (they were the sweetest!), but I was able to spend my days with Carter. It was a blast.

Everything was organized beautifully, and the kids had the best time.

There were outdoor classrooms, lots of learning took place, and there was of course some time for play as well.

Memories were made!

And canoeing at sunset was definitely a highlight of the trip.

I’m so happy I got the chance to go, and I loved every second I got to spend with my boy.

Look at this poncho! Or maybe it’s a cape. I don’t know what the official term is, but here’s what you need to know….

You pull it over your head, and there aren’t any arm holes, but you still have full range of motion with your arms. I won’t be wearing it with leggings, but I think it looks great with jeans! It’s a fantastic deal at just under $25, and I think it’s super chic.

This light weight cocoon cardi is good now, and it will be perfect all the way into Spring. It’s very lightweight, so it’s working well for all of the unseasonably warm days we are having right now. You know, the days where it might be 70 degrees outside BUT IT’S DECEMBER FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, so you want a layer. This light layer is just what you are looking for.

It comes in several colors, and depending on what color you choose, the price ranges from ONLY $14 up to $28. This black one is under $15 right now! For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

I believe I’ve shown this honeycomb cardigan in a previous month’s post, but I styled it differently here. It comes in several colors, and mine is the “pale heather”. It’s a great neutral, and I love it styled simply with a white tee. This is another cardi that is light weight and will be great all the way into Spring.

I LOVE IT.

But I have to say, it’s definitely different. It’s hard to tell in this picture, but the sides are totally open almost all the way up to armpit. They lay flat and don’t gape open, but when there’s movement, you would definitely see skin if not wearing something under it. Here I’m wearing a white cami under it and have the cami tucked into my jeans. If I was wearing it with black leggings, I would wear a black cami under it for a streamlined look.

I love the graphic design on the sleeves and the hem. The fabric is heavy, soft, and warm.

And now I’ve got some overhead shots with some pieces that I’ve already shown you. These are pieces I love and definitely recommend.

I love the pink and navy combo here, but the robin’s egg blue and mustard combo would look great with white jeans this Spring.
