I showed you this sweater in grey on my April Amazon haul, but I like it in navy even better. I was wearing a medium in the grey (seen HERE), but this navy is a small. It’s quite a bit more fitted, and I do think I prefer the fit of the medium better. This is a great sweater! I love a navy and white color combo because it just feels so fresh!

Do you remember when I showed you this tee with pajama shorts and my terry bow headband (click HERE)? Well, I’ve been wearing the sweatshirt with regular shorts as well.

To be honest, this might sound silly, but this $10 Hanes sweatshirt is one of my favorite purchases I’ve made over the last couple of months. It’s sooooo soft, it’s sooooooo cozy, it’s got a cute fit, and I’m wearing it ALL THE TIME. Well, I’ve got great news…it comes in lots of color choices. SEPHORA FINDS

Did y’all catch my Sephora post last week? I higlighted my tried and true Sephora favorites, but I also told you about some items I planned on ordering AND I asked for reader recommendations in the comments.

I ordered several items from the comments section AND Y’ALL DID NOT DISSAPPOINT ME with your recommendations! I’m sooooooooooo glad y’all told me to!!!

One reader said that she knew I loved my Dior lash primer, but she suggested this primer and this mascara. And OH MY WORD was she right. I was a devoted user of my eyelash primer (and still think it’s great), but she was right, this primer is even better. It’s offically called a “super enhancing mascara base”, and it adds more length and seems to do a better job of covering every lash. The mascara is awesome too. I’ve only been using this combo for 4 days now, but the mascara doesn’t flake or smudge during the day, and it definitely helps with lash separation, volume, and length.

I saw this lip gloss stick on another blogger’s instagram. Bridget talked about how she was in a wedding and everybody in the bridal party looked good in this one color, and I was intrigued. I was even more intrigued that it was called a lip gloss stick, so I had to try. The color I have is GORGEOUS (mine is called “One Mauve Time”.). It looks great with a full face of makeup, but it also looks great without any other makeup on your face. It’s just a realllllllllllllllly pretty and sheer color, but it also comes in several other beautiful colors.

It’s not sticky at all, and it just feels really slick and smooth on. It doesn’t last all day long, so I do have to reapply, but I love the color and look so much that I don’t mind.

MY MOM’S FAVORITE COLLEEN ROTHSCHILD PRODUCTS

When I did a post with my mom at the end of last year, y’all were FLOORED (for good reason) that my mama is 73 years old!!!

HOUSE QUESTIONS

Did y’all see my post with Ann Taylor on Monday? I loved sharing some elevated basics with y’all, but I also had so much fun getting to share little peeks of my home as well.

I actually had quite a few questions about some of the items seen in my pictures, so I thought I would answer those today!

Many of you noticed my floral trays and inquired about them. They are vintage metal tole trays, and I’ve been collecting them since we were first married. I have quite a few now, and I have them displayed throughout our home. I’ve purchased most of them at antique stores, but I’ve also scored quite a few from eBay! I’m very picky, but I love this black oval floral tray and this dark green wooden one that are currently available.

I also had several readers ask how the tray was attached above the stove. I used velco Command strips!

There were lots of questions about our bar stools. We got them from Joss & Main around 6 years ago, but I found this pair that is super similar! The price listed is a set of 2 stools. They swivel and the height is adjustable. We didn’t want backs on our stools because we didn’t want them to break the flow between the kitchen and family room, and we loved the mix of wood and metal.

In addition to having a collection of tole trays, I also have a wonderful collection of wooden serving boards. You can see I have one behind the sink (with the candle and flowers on it), I have a round tray where our kitchen soap and paper towels live, and I also have a good numer leaning up against the backsplash in the kitchen on each side of the stove. I use them for decoration, but I also pull them out and use them all the time when entertaining (as you can see with the charceuterie board below).

The brown bowl has pistachios and the glass bowl has spinach and kale greek yogurt dip, both from Trader Joe’s. In fact, the entire platter is made up of Trader Joe’s finds. Top left are the soft and juicy dried mandarin oranges, the crackers are pita crackers, the nut duo is the new Everything But The Bagel nut blend, and the rolls ups are cheese and salami. Everything was delicious.
