It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means! It’s time to link up with Erika, Andrea, and Narci to let everybody know what some of my favorite things are right now!
SPECIAL MAMA GIVEAWAY WINNER
Let’s kick today’s post off with some exciting news. I have the name of the Special Mama contest giveaway winner! Now, before I announce the winner, let me say that the nominations were all so touching. There are some incredibly special mamas out there, and I wish I could give each one of them a gift card. There’s no doubt they all deserve a little extra love. If you nominated somebody and they didn’t win, maybe you could still do something a little special for them, even if it’s just a phone call to let them know that you think they are a great mom. And if you nominated yourself, please know that you are seen and admired by many.
The very special mama who has won a $1,000 gift card (to 1 retailer of her choice is) is AnaLisa C.
(Nominated by her friend Jennifer Windscheffel.)
Here are Jennifer’s words: I would like to nominate my friend AnaLisa C. a/k/a Supermom. She is the mother of four children and her oldest daughter has Rhett Syndrome, one of the cruelest childhood diseases impacting primarily little girls. Babies with this disease are born after normal pregnancy with symptoms progressing at 18 months. AnaLisa fights non stop on behalf her daughter with insurance companies and for other opportunities. Her daughter recently participated in a ballet with her wheelchair and AnaLisa’s help and she raises money to help find a cure for this terrible disease. Another of her 3 boys is on the spectrum as well and she also advocates on his behalf. She always has a smile for everyone and never loses her faith in God or her Savior Jesus Christ. She is so deserving!
Jennifer, AnaLisa sounds like an amazing mom and person! Please e-mail me at pinteresttoldmeto@yahoo.com so we can get everything set up for your precious and deserving friend!

One evening last week I took Carter and some of his friends up to one of the local soccer fields to play around. They had so much fun, and listening to these 4 boys in the car was a favorite time of mine from the week for sure. Their friendships are a favorite too.

Did you see my Target post this week? When I popped into my local Target to shop for the post, I walked out with lots of super cute clothes. And these pillows.
Target strikes again, y’all.
I can NEVER resist strolling by the Magnolia section when in Target (soooo much from the collection makes me happy), and I’m in love with my new front porch pillows.
The pillows are outdoor pillows (although I would totally use them indoors if I had a spot for them), so they should stand up to the sun, and they are DARLING. Isn’t amazing how just a couple of new pillows can totally breathe new life into a space? Our porch was looking a little bit tired, but these new pillows really perked the entire porch right on up!
Everything else on the front porch is old…and yes, I know I need to cut the hanger off of my fern. I’ve only had it for like 2 months, so I just haven’t gotten around to it. #wishiwaskidding

I love it when friends send me pictures of themselves in items that they got from the blog! This is Debi. Isn’t she cute? She’s talented too, and I love hearing her sing worship songs! Debbie is married to one of Chris’s relatives (her husband’s grandfather was brothers with Chris’s grandfather’s dad.) Is that as clear as mud? Hahaha!
Anyhoo. I was so tickled when she sent me a pic of herself in a Sheaffer Told Me To find!
Do you remember this lace top? Click HERE to see it on me with denim shorts. She grabbed it on one of my last Amazon Hauls, loves it, and says she gets complimented on it all the time. Thanks for the picture, Debbie!
I decided to go ahead and grab the pic of me in it too. I LOVE and ADORE this white lace top. The neck, the sleeves, the lattice pattern, and of course the lace detail…I love it all. It also comes in a lilac, a soft blue, and a pretty wine color that would be great for Fall.
It’s hard to tell in these pictures, but it’s wayyyyyyyyyyy too tight. I’m in a small, and I definitely need a medium.
AND LADIES. You aren’t going to believe the price. It’s UNDER $20.

Sooooooo many people out in blogger land have been screaming and shouting about THIS SWEATSHIRT. So when I saw it went ON SALE this morning, I hit ADD TO CART and then I added it to my post! It’s oversized, I loved the side slits, and it looks soooo comfy. It’s going to be a DREAM with my favorite leggings. The site even claims it’s MADE FOR LEGGINGS.
Head to the site and check out the reviews that have been left. There’s only 11, but they are all glowing, and some readers even left pictures and sizing recommendations. Based on recommendations, I ordered a small, even though I would have normally gone for a medium in a sweatshirt for leggings.

There are so many important things happening in this next picture.
*** I’m wearing a blardigan that was sent to me by Nordstrom. It’s the original blardigan, and I’ve been reminded how much I love it. The last couple of years I’ve been wearing the hooded one and the baby one most often, and I kind of forgot about the original one that started the whole craze. What I love about this one is how you can really wrap up in it. This really is the perfect one to wear at home.
*** I’m using the Revlon One Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer Brush, AND I’M CRAZY ABOUT IT. Like borderline psychotic. I might have told the sweet high school girl that was bagging my groceries about it. And then the lady in line behind me. #allegedly #okayidid #theyneededtoknow I love it sooooo SOOOOOOO much. Yes, I have the super expensive Dyson dryer, and I do still love it. But this one is over $300 less, and I love it too. Here’s what I love the most about it: it’s sooo hard to get the bumpy ridges out of the back of my hair…AND DARE I SAY, THIS $50 TOOL MAKES IT EASY. Did you hear that? I SAID EASY. I know it’s pretty unbelievable, but it’s true. I’ve used it 3 times since getting it last week, and I already convinced 2 friends and a cousin that they both need to get it.
My friend Erika raved about it for soooo long…and then Shay raved about it…..I have no idea what took me so long. Don’t be like me, just get it!!!
*** Do you see the fan in front of me? It’s my new best friend. I mean, I feel like it kept me from stroking out when trying on winter clothes at Nordstrom under the dressing room lights on the opening day of the Anniversary Sale. And for that, I’m forever grateful. And now, I find myself using it when drying my hair. I’ll also be using it at outdoor soccer games. It holds a charge for hours and hours and really does put out an incredible amount of air flow for such a small device.
This was me (and my hair) yesterday morning after using the Revlon Hot Air Brush.
The brush is UNDER $60, so it’s a jaw dropping value. And look how smooth and silky my hair is!

I had a busy morning yesterday! Not only did I wash and dry my hair (you’re welcome), but I also gave myself a quick tan. Yep, I was a busy girl.
My friend Megan swears by this Fake Bake Flawless Self Tanning Liquid, so I finally ordered it for myself a couple of weeks ago.
GIRLS. THIS IS A GAME CHANGER.
Second to getting a professional spray tan, this is the best and most natural looking “tan” I’ve ever had.
It comes with a mitt, you spray the product on the mitt, and then you rub the product on your body in circular motions. The great thing about this tanner is that you can see it going on, so you can see if you are missing areas and then fix them. You immediately see a difference in color, but the tan continues to develop a bit over the next 15-20 minutes.
Click HERE for the tanner. It has a light scent that I actually think smells great, and it’s not glittery. It’s awesome.
The picture below shows the results about 10 minutes after I applied it. WOW, RIGHT? It lasts for about 3 days, and I’m telling you, the color is amazing and so natural looking! Also, the right leg shows 1 application. If you wanted a deeper color, you could just repeat the process! Plus, the photo doesn’t really do the real live difference much justice. I’m telling you. IT’S SO GOOD.
Also, after hearing Shay talk about these tanning face pads for years, I finally picked some up. I use one every 4-5 days now and think the results are fantastic. I was always worried they would make my face orange or streaky, but they just give a nice and slow hint of color.

BACK IN STOCK ALERT!
These leggings were one of my Top 5 items from the sale. In fact, they might have even been in the Top 3. I let y’all know on social media that they were back in stock…but I knew I needed to let all of my blog readers know also.
I ADORE THESE HIGH WAISTED ANKLE LEGGINGS. They come up above my belly button, and they suck me in like crazy, while somehow still allowing me to breathe and be 100% comfortable. THEY ARE MAGIC. Once I tried the high waisted option a couple of years ago, I have never purchased the regular rise again. And although I own lots of different lengths of Zella leggings, this slightly above the ankle version is my favorite.
And get this, this year’s version has a great little pocket on the side! So cute and obviously functional! And they still manage to be super slimming. If you prefer the longer length, click HERE.
Sizing tip: I’m wearing my regular size small.
I thought this boxy sweatshirt was fun with them for running around town! I’m wearing a medium in the sweatshirt (and a small in the leggings).
sweatshirt / high waisted leggings / my favorite no show socks / sneakers
Click HERE for all Zella still available in the sale. These are the same leggings, I just switched things up for a jacket that’s still in stock!

Is this shirt familiar to you? (Several weeks ago I showed it with a pair of awesome flare jeans, you can click HERE for the post.)
I’ve worn it several times already, and really love that it’s in my closet now! It’s a cute cut and pattern, but I think it’s the striking color combo that gets this top recognized. I’m wearing a small in the top.
And let’s talk about my boyfriend jeans! As part of my brand ambassadorship, Kut from the Kloth sent me several from the sale, and somehow these got set aside. WELL. I found them yesterday and was thrilled to see that they are still available (and look to be fully stocked) in the Anniversary Sale!
They are a very dark wash, have some stretch, and the cuff can be customized to your liking with a small cuff or big thick cuffs. These aren’t huge boyfriend jeans that just hang on you. These are flattering boyfriend jeans! Thank you, KUT! I’m wearing my regular size 4s here, but I would suggest sizing down if between sizes.
blouse / boyfriend jeans / tortoise shell hoop earrings/ wrap bracelet / must have wedges ON SALE
Did you notice my bracelet above? Here’s a closer look!
It’s 50% OFF right now!!!
This bracelet is hand made and features fresh water pearls on a dark brown leather. It’s gorgeous and is going to transition very nicely into the Fall.

Here’s the blouse a couple of weeks ago with the flare jeans…
Do you like it better with the boyfriend jeans or the flares?

And I wanted to let y’all know what I threw into my Target cart, many added because of YOUR suggestions! These things are already on their way to me!!! Let’s just call it Target Research. I’m practically a scientist.
* this shirt dress (Be looking for this one on a post in the near future. I tried this on in store and loved it!)
* black, brown, and cream short sleeved sweater
* this camo sweatshirt (LOVE! readers say it’s cute on and very soft!)
* this long cream cardi (readers pointed out it’s 100% cotton!)
* a reader said this dress is GORGEOUS and fits and looks like an Anthro dress!
* a reader recommended these mules in both leopard and snakeskin (she says to size up a 1/2)

Please add the Universal Thread Monterey v-neck pocket tee to your Target cart, in camo, in a pile of colors, in stripes. Generously sized, for a slouchy fit, pretty sure small will be your size based on how your sizing recommendations fit me. The tees are $8 or 3 for $20 right now. You. Need. These. Tees.
Sheaffer says
Great tip, Mary! I will!!!! xoxo
Selena says
Definitely second these tees! They are very similar in fit to Madewell whisper tees, so I stuck with my Madewell size and they’re perfect. I have the camo, a white, and another pattern. Love them all, want more!
Sarah says
I recently lost 20 pounds and you’ve been so helpful with my wardrobe refresh! I grabbed several things from your Target post, and today I grabbed your favorite leggings and those boyfriend jeans! Thanks for all of the behind the scenes work, this busy mama really appreciates you!
Sheaffer says
SARAH! That’s amazing!!!! GO YOU! And thank you for the sweet words! xoxo

That Fake Bake is my absolute favorite!!!
Shay Shull says
There are so many good favorites this week!! Those pics of Luke and Carter though are my favorite favorite 😉 .
kathy says
I love these favorites posts! So much good information.
Jen says
Oh my gosh, I just posted today about the SAME sweatshirt (even in that color!) — I didn’t know it was a blogger fave, but I can see why! It arrived last week and is literally the softest thing you’ve ever felt. And I’m with you…anything I can wear with leggings in the fall is a WINNER. 🙂 Have a great weekend!
Erin says
I ordered the wine colored lace top—it was actually very helpful to see a pic of it on one of your readers—sometimes things look great on a fashion blogger and then not so great on us average readers—her pic sold me on it!! You both look great in it!
Lorie says
Great post today! I love it when you hit on a lot of different things and places to shop. Thanks for all you do!
Shawnee says
I think I’m the only one around that doesn’t like the brush hair dryer. 🙁 It did nothing for my thick hair, took entirely too long to dry and was still a frizzy mess.
Karen Ward says
I love that camo sweatshirt from Target but I find their tops to be too short for my liking. I like my shirts to be a bit longer – to cover my kangaroo pouch. LOL!
Nancy says
Which Victoria Emerson bracelets would you say are your favorites and also most versatile? And keep in mind i’m 53.
Sheaffer says
Hi, Nancy! That’s so hard to say! If you’ve never purchased them before I would recommend getting one boho cuff and one wrap bracelet just so you can try out both styles. xoxo
Terri says
Ordered the fan! I have major cord issues in my office at work, which has windows on two sides and gets HOT in the afternoons. I have a little electric fan on the floor, but this one would let me get rid of a cord! Such a silly thing to be happy about, but cord management is very top of mind right now.
Marcie says
what size are you wearing in the pink blouse!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Marcie! A small!
Noreen Hannon/Leyden says
Love your recommendations. Just ordered 2 of the AE sweatshirts. Used code appy2gether and got 25% off!
Darlene says
If you order the Aerie sweatshirt from their app with the code “appy2gether”, it’s 25% off the sale price! Ordered! Thank you as always Sheaffer <3
Sheaffer says
Great tip! Thanks, Darlene!
Kim S. says
I have to tell you Colleen Rothschild has the best customer service! I ordered the jumbo cleansing balm during the Christmas in July sale and when I get it, the jar was not even 3/4 full. I called them and they took care of it right away. And thanks for letting us know about the sale. I have been wanting to try it and that was the perfect opportunity.
Christine Thuerk says
Great post, full of extra cool and wanted items! Can’t wait to try tanning products. Thanks
Jody Forsee says
Sheaffer – as usual, thanks for your great content! I have a question when you talk about jeans sizing. When you say, I wear my normal size 4s, do you mean you wear 4 short or do you mean 4s as in plural? I’m trying to figure out if you are wearing petite/short length jeans.
Thanks!!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Jody! I just mean “4”. If it’s ever petite or short, I will say that! Good question though!
Karen says
I’m curious if you wash the self tanner off after a bit? Mine always goes on smelling good but gets that weird tanner smell after a couple of hours. I bought this one but haven’t used it yet. Love your blog!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Karen! This one comes off easily when wet if it hasn’t had plenty of time to set….so I either put it on in the morning and don’t shower until that night…or I put it on at night and shower the next morning. Hope this helps! xoxo
Karin says
Thanks for all the great posts! I just bought white shorts and am wondering if you have a problem with self tanner getting on your clothes? I’ve noticed it on light colored towels after showering, but am hoping that’s just when it gets wet?
Sheaffer says
Hi, Karin! I don’t wear light clothes the day I put it on, but I will the next day! And yes, it definitely comes off much more aggressively when wet. xoxo
Janet says
So happy for the giveaway winner, she deserves a treat!
Side note: I live in McKinney and was driving through the Kroger lot by Anamia’s Friday night, and I saw you. I shrieked and told my husband, “That’s SHEAFFER! OMG!” He told me to go say hi, but I was too shy. I’m a huge fan!
Sheaffer says
JANET! You totally should have said “hi”!!!!!
Jennifer Windscheffel says
Thank you Sheaffer for your special Mama challenge and for picking AnaLisa! I sent you an email as you noted above. Please let me know if you don’t receive it.
Sheaffer says
I received it and I replied!!!!! xoxo
Kelly Lane Nation says
Did you order that color sweatshirt (from the pic you posted) from AE? I can’t decide what color to get.
Sheaffer says
I did, Kelly!
Pam A. says
I just tried the Fake Bake you recommended! My new fave! Thanks so much!
Sheaffer says
YAYYYYYYY!!!!! It’s the best!!!!!
Gerri says
I’ve tried so many self tanners and disliked them all. Thank you for the Fake Bake tip/review I’m loving it!!!
Sheaffer says
YAY! I’m actually about to apply some right now for the weekend!!!! Glad you love it too, Gerri! xoxo

Hi Sheaffer. Thank you for your amazing posts. I love that little fan but the link to Amazon doesn’t work. Could you please provide some more info? Thank you!
