Today’s post is sponsored by Target and ShopStyle. The product selections are my own, and I only highlight and promote pieces that I truly love. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Sheaffer Told Me To!
Happy Wednesday, everybody! Today’s post was such a fun one for me!
You know I strive to bring you great style options every post, but I get especially excited when I can bring you great style at a super affordable price, and that’s exactly what I’m doing today with Target.
The new lines they have added to their clothing department have me straight up giddy, and I’m thrilled to finally be responding to all of your “please do a Target haul” requests. Y’all have spoken, and I’m listening.
For today’s post, I’m highlighting one bold shirt three ways. I fell in love with the print and the style, but because it is so bold, I wanted to make sure I showed that it can still be versatile. I hadn’t done a Style It Again, Sheaffer post in awhile, so I decided it was time.

LOOK #1: CASUAL AND COOL
For this first look, I took my inspiration top and went super casual with cropped jeans and flat sandals.
puff sleeve blouse / earrings / cropped straight jeans / macrame bag / bracelets / brown slide sandals
Let’s start with the shirt! Can you see why I fell in love with it? It’s DARLING.
Y’all know I love mixing black and brown together, so this shirt immediately spoke to me. But it’s not just the color combination that got me, I love so many things about it including the bold graphic leaf print and the pretty little details (like the feminine pleated neckline and puffy sleeves).
It’s a linen/cotton blend, and the cotton allows it to not be as scratchy as linen. It also helps to keep wrinkles at bay. For size reference, I’m wearing a small, and it’s a generous fit. It comes right to the hips, so it can be worn out or with a half tuck.
puff sleeve blouse / cropped straight jeans / macrame bag
I think it’s great that the sleeves have some fullness without being overwhelming. If you don’t love your upper arms, that’s just another reason to love this shirt. It also comes in a zebra print and a plain bright white. I’m guessing that some of you are going to love the fit so much that you’ll grab a second color too.
puff sleeve blouse / earrings / bracelets
I need another pair of jeans like I need a hole in the head, but I was delighted to add these jeans to my closet. The light wash and the straight (but not skinny) fit makes them different than any other jeans I have, and I absolutely love them. The fabric is soft and there’s a good amount of stretch.
They feel hip and modern.
And great news! They are ON SALE right now for only $20, which is why keeping them was my only option. For size reference, I’m wearing a 4.

similar sunglasses / earrings / puff sleeve blouse
The wooden handles and the cream macrame made this bag a total no brainer for this look. It’s a little bit funky and retro, just like my beloved top.
AND THESE SANDALS, Y’ALL! A beautiful rich brown, a classic design, and ONLY $20. I highly recommend these sandals, as do lots of reviewers, but I would suggest to size up a 1/2.

LOOK #2: OFFICE READY
For look number 2, I wanted to dress the blouse up for the office. Heck, this outfit is so versatile it could also work for church or even a fun date night look! This look was a definite favorite for me, and I can hardly wait to talk about the shoes.

These earrings aren’t available online, but you can click HERE for other options from SUGARFIX by BaubleBar.

I was so pumped to find these pants.
They are PULL ON without any buttons or zippers, so they are obviously incredibly comfortable, but they aren’t as tight as a pair of leggings would be across the bum. The generous fit of the shirt looks great with this slim pair of pants, and I love where they hit at the ankle. For size reference, I’m wearing a 4.
black skinny ankle pants / bracelets / block heel sandals
Okay, on to the block heel sandals. Y’all. THESE ARE SO GOOD.
I love the peep toe.
I love the stacked heel.
I love the perforated design.
I love the color.
I love the comfort.
I love the price.
I LOVE THEM, and they come in black too.
True to size for me.
I’m so disappointed that this bag can no longer be found online, but you should check your local stores for availability.

LOOK #3: COMBINING COLORS
I went a bit out of the box for this outfit and decided to pull grey into the mix also. On paper, mixing black, brown, grey, and cream together seems like it would be drab and boring.
I think you will see that it’s not at all!
puff sleeve blouse / hoop earrings / grey jeans / bracelets / black slide sandals
I loved the results. The black, brown, cream, and grey all came together for a great look.
The bag is not currently available online, but you can click HERE for other cognac bag options.
And gold accessories were the perfect choice. These earrings are a nice large brushed gold hoop, and they look much more expensive than they are. You just can’t beat $7.99!
The bracelets are a wonderful matte gold and they pair perfectly with the hoops.
At just $12.99, I actually wish I would have purchased at least 2 sets for stacking. I’ll definitely grab another stack next time I’m in Target. Perhaps it’s reasons like this that I can never leave Target without spending at least $100! (Just FYI: I blame Hearth and Home too. I’m powerless against the brand.)
I was impressed (and a bit overwhelmed if I’m being honest) with the enormous jean selection at my local Target. But once I found the Universal Thread jeans in my first outfit, I knew I could focus on the jeans from that brand and find another pair I liked, and I did.
I have a grey pair of jeans that are several years old, and they definitely need replacing. Enter these $20 grey jeans. A good rise, a bit of stretch, a light grey color, and a cute ankle length. Yes, yes, yes, and yes.
puff sleeve blouse / grey jeans / bracelets / black slide sandals
These are the same slide sandals I highlighted in Look #1, but I grabbed the black for this outfit. Again, I recommend sizing up a 1/2.

OTHER WAYS TO STYLE THE SHIRT
Target, FOR THE WIN, right?????? I love all 3 outfits above from head to toe, and I hope I’ve proven that you don’t need to be afraid of a daring print. You can still make it work for lots of different occasions!
I could actually do another post (maybe I will!) styling the shirt even more ways. Here are just a handful of other ideas:
*with white jeans (these are only $20) and some great brown wedges
*with cuffed denim shorts and slide sandals
*with the belted shorts that match for a darling little set!
Speaking of a matching set, look how cute! Just click on what you are interested in. I love the belted shorts and the skirt. The dress is fab too, and I think the bag and the shoes look designer, scroll right to see them!
And this sweater wasn’t in my store, but I just added it to cart. It perfectly combines all of the same colors that I highlighted in today’s post, and I love the rounded split hem and easy relaxed style. You could style this sweater with all of the exact same pieces above and it would totally work! This gives you a nice option if you don’t love the bold pattern of the top in today’s post.
Also currently in my cart: this camo sweatshirt (LOVE!), this long cream cardi, and this dress. They are all pieces that will transition perfectly into Fall.

As mentioned previously, I’m totally smitten and impressed with two of the clothing lines. Both were featured in today’s post, and both seem to have on trend and quality pieces for great prices. Can you guess which two they are? Yep, it’s the Who What Wear line and the Universal Threads line.
I sincerely hope y’all loved this post, because I’m thinking I’m just going to keep going with my Target finds! Target has upped their style game, and I’m here for it. And with the addition of Chip and Joanna in Target, I’m constantly picking up new and wonderful things for our home too. Last week I grabbed these and they’ve totally transformed our front porch!
One last thing…
I would love it if you would sound off in the comments and vote for your favorite look. Did you like the cool and casual vibe of Look #1, the dressier ensemble in Look #2, or the color mixing in Look #3?
A huge thank you to Target and ShopStyle for sponsoring this post.
Caroline says
I vote for #3! I would have never thought of that combo myself, but it works! I vote for more Target posts as well.
Jill says
I loved this post! Yes to more Target hauls!
Question-did you get the bag at Target but it’s just not available online anymore?
Sheaffer says
Yes, Jill! I was head to toe in Target, and the bag was online when I first started working on the post, but it sold out in the last 2 days online. You might get lucky at your local Target! xoxo
Lisa Meyers says
I would love more Target post for sure! I got that blouse last time I went grocery shopping at Target (hahahahaha!), and I’m excited to now have 3 ways to style it. The grey jeans and the black pants both went in my cart. So did the camo sweatshirt that’s in your cart.
April says
Loving the grey jeans outfit! I would not have thought to put those together but it looks great. I love these kinds of posts!
Meredith says
My favorite places to shop are Nordstrom and Target, so I’m happy that you are loving Target now too! Are the shoes in Look 2 comfortable enough for a teacher to wear all day?
Sheaffer says
Hi, Meredith! Happy that you are happy! 🙂 So far, I’ve only worn the shoes for a 20 minute stretch while taking pictures, but they were super comfortable for that amount of time with no issues. I have extremely picky feet and there are definitely shoes that I don’t even like for that long, but I can’t comment on all day wear. Does anybody already have these shoes that can comment? xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Jill says
I have them in black and brown and have been wearing them all summer. So comfy! They are flat without any arch support, but they don’t bother my feet when I wear them for long stretches of standing or walking.
Morgan says
I love the target post too! Target ? is my go to place to shop unless I am doing a large haul and I make it to Nordstrom with a babysitter of course!
I love outfit 2. Even better I have some of those pieces already! I can’t wait to fit that blouse at our local store! Thank you for your review! ?more soon!

I agree, Target clothes have gotten SO good! They used to be so hit and miss. I vote #2 but I’m also always looking for office wear inspiration. Thanks for sharing!

I loooooooooove Target!!! This post was PERFECTION!!
Amanda Dorich says
I just bought that sweater from the bottom of the post and it is just adorable! Size down though! It looks great with jeans and black dress pants as well. Definitely great for work wear or more casual outfits!
Sheaffer says
Thanks for the tip, Amanda! Can’t wait to get mine!!!! xoxo
Narci says
Target does it again! I loved that top on you last night!
V says
So cute! I love black and brown together too. I ordered the red/pink cardigan from the cream cardigan link at the bottom and I was thrilled to see it is 100 percent cotton. I’m super picky about materials and being cotton means that it will transition better into fall in the deep south heat. Thanks for always finding the best deals/cutest items!
Heather says
Definitely look #1! I just love your style and am always inspired by what you share with us?
Sheaffer says
Awww! Thank you so much, Heather!!! xoxo
Lee says
Love the Target post! But wanted to specifically say thank you for telling us at the beginning of your post that it is sponsored. It’s greatly appreciated that you’re always upfront about sponsored posts, right off the bat.
Laurie S says
Love Target! It’s dangerous in there… LOL. Odd question – your friend Cassie at Hi Sugarplum did a Target haul post on T 7/23, and the brown/black leaf pieces were also featured. Does Target give you the clothing options to choose and blog about? During the Nordstrom sale, I also noticed that you, Cassie, Shay and other fashion bloggers all wrote about a lot of the same clothes – sweater, booties, etc. Are you provided a “list” to focus (certain pieces/designers)?. Or are these really coincidences?
Sheaffer says
Hi, Laurie! Target gave us the run of the store and online, it didn’t even have to be clothes! We were free to choose whatever we wanted to feature, it was just 100% a coincidence that Cassie and I both chose the same top to feature (she actually featured several, and I just styled the one top several ways). No direction from Nordstrom either!!! When shopping from the same retailers, there’s no doubt going to be overlap between bloggers, but I can say with total confidence that we weren’t given options and we just happened to choose the same items. #greatmindsiguess 🙂 xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

#2 and already had the long cardi in my cart! Better get it before it sells out!

? Target!! Miss Target leaving Canada.
My personal fav is look #2 Office Ready. The peekaboo booties are so cute.
Rarely comment but do love your blog! Your authenticity shines through.

Yelena, thank you so much! That’s a very kind compliment!!!!!!! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

#1 as a pet sitter I’m very casual but sometimes when I meet a client I want to take it up just a notch and #1 fits the bill!
I’m also a shopper of Nordstrom and love your recommendations for the big sale!
Thank you for all you do !

Hi Shaeffer,
Do you think your sister would be open to doing a pregnancy or nursery faves post? I’d love to see her pics.
Thanks!
