FALL OUTFIT PLANNING

You might have a sense from Wednesday’s FALL FINDS UNDER $50 collage that I am MORE THAN READY for a drop in the temps. I’m straight up DONE with 100 degree days. And even though we’re not quite there yet with the cooler temps, I’ll be ready with some cute clothes just as soon as there is that first chill in the air! #alwaysprepared

I’ve been ordering lots of great early fall pieces, and I’ve been having way too much fun planning outfits! Not everything I’ve ordered is in yet, which is why you’re getting these little outfit idea collages today.

I’M SO EXCITED ABOUT ALL OF THESE OUTFITS!

You’ll notice that almost all of the outfits have the same jewelry pieces in them, and the bags and shoes are used again and again!

This first outfit is classic and chic, and I love the extra style that the jewelry and the plaid mules bring to the outfit. This sweater is such a great basic that can be dressed up or down (it comes in 4 colors), AND HOW CUTE ARE THESE JEANS!

Same jeans, same jewelry, but a super casual outfit with the banded muscle tee and sneakers. And remember from a previous post, this top is more like a light sweatshirt than just a tee. And the banded elastic hem makes it modern. But don’t worry, it’s not cropped. I wear it turned under right at the waist, or I pull it down a bit and show the hem.

These sneakers are mine from last year, and they’re back! They’re awesome! I bought them true to size last year, but they stretch a bit, and I ended up wishing I’d sized down a 1/2.

Add a denim jacket, switch out the jeans for joggers, and you’ve got a super casual outfit that’s still super cute. The joggers also come in a great blush color.

This outfit has the same jewelry, shoes, and bag as previous outfits… but the rest of it is completely different.

I’m in love with this top, and these wide legged jeans are a great option for teachers that can’t wear jeans every day (but want the comfort of jeans while looking like they aren’t wearing them). 🙂 I will say, at 5’4″ these pants are long on me (not as cropped as they are supposed to be), so I think they will be best suited for those 5’5″ – 5’7″ or so.

The only things new in this outfit combo (as compared to the outfits above) are the striped maxi and the bandana. You’ve seen everything else in previous outfit collages today. All of the pieces are so versatile!

I mixed things up a bit with this outfit, but it does have the same jeans, necklace, and bag from some of the above outfits. This blouse will also look awesome with the best black pants ever.

MONKEY BREAD

So I did a thing.

SOME WALMART FASHION FINDS

Did y’all see my FAMILY ROOM REFRESH post last week? We love the room now and just wonder why in the world we didn’t do it sooner.

The room is lighter, brighter, and so much cozier!!! And lots of the accessories in the room are from Walmart! I had I had so much fun showing them off in the post. Click HERE if you missed the post and want the links to some of the accessories.

When I ordered the accessories for the room, I also threw some clothes in my cart. Because y’all, I’m officially a fan of several Walmart brands. The clothes are super cute and insanely affordable. (My current favorite brands are Scoop, Free Assembly, and Time and Tru.)

Check out this tie neck dress that’s a vibrant beautiful color and crisp poplin. It looks MUCH MORE expensive than its $28 price tag. It’s got pockets and a fun gathered neck with a tie. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

I’m telling you, Amazon is ALWAYS killing it with graphic tees.

I thought I would pull several tees from the flat lay above and show you how I might style each of them for cooler weather.

How cute is this tee, jeans, and booties combo?!? I want to wear this now.  #itsavibe

And think how cute the same outfit would be extra super cute with a cardi or military jacket thrown on top as well.

Also, these chunky hoop earrings and this multicolor bracelet are both under $20 and great staples to have in your closet for fall.

Sadly, my exact jeans are sold out.  They are straight legged, cropped, a bit of a relaxed fit (while still being flattering), and distressed.  I searched high and low for a comparable pair and I came up empty handed. Mine were under $80 and I LOVE THEM, but there’s just nothing out there at the same price point. I did however find these from Good American.

If you want to try a straight cropped pair that aren’t distressed, these from Wit and Wisdom are more affordable at $88.

I’m not a coffee lover, but I know that most people are, so I found a couple of cute coffee tees for y’all today! I think this one is DARLING and I love it with the chunky cardi and sneakers. Tell me you wouldn’t love to rock this entire outfit this fall.

I accessorized with the chunky hoop earrings again (you totally need them!) and this gold strappy bracelet is definitely one of my favorite Amazon accessory purchases I’ve ever made. It’s a magnetic closure on the back and looks like gold leather strips. It looks great on its own, and it is also perfect for stacking.

And for those of you that are coffee obsessed, this Hello Darkness My Old Friend tee will be right up your alley. The sentiment made me laugh out loud. I love it with this all neutral outfit. I topped it with an oatmeal cardi and styled it with grey jeans and neutral sneakers.

I first showed you this cross necklace last year, and I still wear it almost every day.

RANDOM AMAZON STUFF WE OWN

I gave Chris this battery organizer several years ago for Christmas after Shay recommended it, and we absolutely LOVE it. It is so convenient, it keeps the batteries so organized, and it doesn’t take up a ton of space. Prior to having this organizer, all of our batteries were thrown on the top shelf of one of our kitchen cabinets with all of our lightbulbs. They were all stacked on top of each other, and it was always a struggle to find the right size battery. Not anymore! I was prompted to blog about this because I had to grab a battery yesterday for the next Amazon item you’re about to see.

This handy little tool arrived yesterday, I used it within 30 minutes of receiving it, and I HAD TO BLOG ABOUT IT TODAY. I know the whole “shaving your face” thing has been the rage all over social media for awhile now, and everybody seems to be using razors similar to these (that have over 100,00 5 star reviews). However, those little razors weren’t doing the trick for me. If you have any peach fuzz on your face, you might want to check out this tool. It does a better job, it’s faster, it’s so easy to use, and it doesn’t irritate my face like the others sometimes I did. Your face will be so smooth, your makeup will go on beautifully, and even your skincare will absorb better.

 

If you don’t have this tee, get it. I have it in white, black, and the stripe.

It’s a relaxed fit without being sloppy, and it’s great both on its own and layered. I love the swingy fit. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

It is the PERFECT layering piece for fall, which is why I’m telling you to get it now.

This refillable water bowl is something I’ve never talked about on the blog before, but it’s something that we absolutely couldn’t live without at my house. This is the exact model we have, and what makes it better than others you might see is that it holds 3 gallons of water. With 2 big dogs, anything smaller would be silly. You fill the bottle up, and then it fills the bowl itself as needed. It’s awesome. It typically lasts us anywhere between 3-4 days for 2 big Goldens.

And I forgot to talk about these masks on Monday’s post. They are both “single serve”, and they both have excellent reviews. I have used both and loved the results. This is the 3rd time I’ve purchased the Lancome Advanced Genefique Hydrating Mask. Its pricey, but I love it. UPDATE: IT’S ON SALE TODAY!

It’s super hydrating and improves bounciness and radiance! The Chill Mode Calming CBD Hydrogel Mask is hydrating as well, and your skin will be smooth and soft after!

The only complaint I have about these masks is the price. If they were more affordable, I would do them way more often!

I had a surprise post yesterday because Our Place is having THE BIGGEST SALE OF THE SEASON where almost every single thing on the site is 25% OFF.

If you’ve ever wanted one of their pieces, NOW IS THE TIME! I highly recommend every single piece I have.

The Oven Pan (which comes in the Ovenware Set) has quickly become my favorite piece. The Ovenware Set replaces your sheet pan, cookie sheet, griddle, roasting pan, loaf pan, lasagna pan, baking dish, and casserole dish. And while I do use and love all of the bakers that come with it, it’s the Oven Pan that has become my favorite.

I’ve done a ton of different sheet pan dinners with it, but I really love how you can place it on top of 2 burners and use it like a flat top griddle! We’ve made skillet burgers, big breakfasts, and I’ve sauteed huge amounts of veggies for fajitas. It cooks everything perfectly and it wipes clean so easily.
