Hello, Ladies!
And HAPPY MONDAY!!!
We had a nice weekend over here without much going on, and now we’re ready for a busy week ahead. Hope you had a great weekend too and are ready for an awesome week as well.
Over the last several months I’ve had several BEAUTY POSTS with Nordstrom, and I’ve been having the best time ordering and trying more beauty products than I ever have before. It’s a lot of fun to step out of the fashion space for a minute, and I’ve definitely found some products that I have fallen in love with. I mean, I’m not getting any younger over here, so give me #alltheproducts.
Some of my beauty posts have had themes (ex. “Let’s Talk Eyes” and “Get Your Glow On“), but today’s post doesn’t have a theme. I simply ordered products to try and review for y’all. There are a couple I ordered based upon passionate suggestions from readers (I love it when y’all tell me to), and others I just ordered based upon the reviews I read through on the site. If a product had overwhelmingly fantastic reviews, it made me want to try the product myself.
So I ordered lots of new products, and here we are. You’re also going to see a couple of products in today’s post that I’ve talked about before, but I feel compelled to talk about again.

Let’s dive right in!
I knew that I wanted to find a fall lip color, and I ordered 3 that looked like they were going to be just what I was looking for. Well, I was disappointed with all 3. Although they looked like pretty autumnal colors, I found them to be more blush than they were spice, and I didn’t like any of them enough to talk about them.
I do however have two tried and true lipsticks that were my GO TOs in the fall last year, so I thought I would share those again.
Charlotte Tilbury Love Liberty lipstick / Anastasia Diamond Gloss / Charlotte Tilbury Happiberry lipstick balm
The Charlotte Tilbury Love Liberty lipstick (on the left) is a matte lipstick. I don’t typically like a matte lipstick, but this one isn’t too matte, and it’s not drying at all. In fact, I find it to be very hydrating. The color is “love liberty”.
The Charlotte Tilbury Happiberry lipstick balm is a lipstick balm with hyaluronic acid that provides the hydrating power of a balm with the color payoff of a lipstick for dewy, pigmented lips. This gives my lips a shiny look, it is a great highly pigmented color, it’s super moisturizing, and it doesn’t bleed. The color is “Happiberry”. This one goes on like a balm, but it gives the color of a lipstick.
I’ll hop on stories later today to show you both lipsticks on.
In this picture I’m wearing this liner (in “pillow talk medium”), this lipstick in “love liberty”, and the Anastasia Diamond Gloss. I ALWAYS wear a gloss with a lipstick, and this gloss gives me the extreme shine that I often desire without altering the color of the lipstick.
The lipstick is looking super pink here because of my sweater, but in real life it’s more of a cranberry.
This Georgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is one I bought on a reader recommendation years ago. Y’all know that during the spring and summer months I’ve been using a combination of It Cosmetics CC Cream and Supergooop Glow Screen for my foundation, but I was wanting a little more coverage for fall so I pulled this out to try again.
Georgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation
Verdict: I LOVE IT.
I’m wearing shade 3.5, and it’s described as a “light/warm undertone”.
It’s a medium coverage foundation with a radiant, luminous finish. It gives my skin an airbrushed quality that I’m super impressed with and so happy about. It’s lightweight, it’s hydrating, and it applies very smoothly to my skin. It doesn’t look or feel cakey AT ALL, and it’s got some serious staying power. It has incredible reviews, and this is a product that I really feel lives up to the hype.

If you follow along regularly, you know that I’ve pretty recently become obsessed with filling in my eyebrows. I’ve tried several different pencils over the last year or so, and I like this one and this one the best.
This month I tried this Air Brow Tinted Volumizing Treatment Gel in soft brown.
This is reallllllllllllly close up (please accept my apology! ha!), but I wanted you to see the brush up against my eyebrow.
The Air Brow Tinted Volumizing Treatment Gel has a mousse like texture, and it’s different than the pencils that I have been using because it gives a fuller/fluffier look. I feel like it’s also much quicker to apply because I’m not drawing individual hairs on. It seems to give just the right amount of volume, tint, and hold.
I’m wearing the soft brown.
And I always use the Anastasia Clear Brow Gel on top to help set the look.
Based on the request of readers, I reviewed several Clarins and Tula products this month.
Clarins Fix Make-Up / Tula Detoxing and Toning Face Mask Stick / Clarins Beauty Flash Peel / Clarins Pore Control Serum / Tula Skin Reviving Treatment Pads / Tula eye brightener
I have and love the Charlotte Tilbury Makeup Setting Spray, but it seems to never be in stock, so I set out to find a good alternative.
This Clarins Fix Make-Up is a really great option for those that love the CT setting spray, but like me are having a hard time finding it.
HOW TO: After applying makeup, spray 12 inches away from your face, keeping your eyes closed.
It has a nice and light scent, and it’s a super fine mist (which I appreciate). It feels refreshing when you spray it on, and I definitely believe that it gives my make-up both a dewy look and staying power. If you’ve never used a setting spray, give this one a try!
I grabbed this Clarins Beauty Flash Peel after seeing an Instagram influencer absolutely rave about it.
HOW TO: Using the brush applicator, apply to clean skin, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes. Do not rinse. Follow with your regular serum and night cream. Use sun protection the following day. Use 2–3 times a week at night. Follow with serum and moisturizer.
So, sadly this is a product that I can’t rave about. I really wanted to love it since the other influencer obviously did, but so far for me it’s been just “meh”. For starters, the directions confused me. It says to leave on for 5-10 minutes, but not to rinse it off? I did rinse it off because I didn’t like the idea of leaving a product that is a “flash peel” on my skin, but I’m not sure if I should have. I’ve used it a handful of times and haven’t noticed any real results.
I do like the brush because it made it very easy to apply the product.
The Clarins Pore Control Serum is something I ordered for myself after searching “minimize pores”. Large pores are definitely a problem area for me, so I’m always looking for products to help.
HOW TO: Warm the serum in the palms of your hands so that it easily melts into skin, then apply. Follow with your day or night moisturizer.
I’ve only been using this product for about 10 days, but after reading the reviews, I feel very hopeful that consistent and extended use will yield great results and minimized pores.
Tula was a popular reader request, so I’m reviewing 3 Tula products today! Click HERE to see all Tula products available at Nordstrom.
Tula Detoxing and Toning Face Mask Stick / Tula eye brightener / Tula Skin Reviving Treatment Pads
I’ve actually been using the Tula Eye Brightener for a couple of years now and really enjoy it. I’ve talked about it before, but I wanted to include it in today’s post since I’m talking about other Tula products as well. It’s a product that I’ve re-ordered a couple of times now.
It glides on very easily and has a wonderful cooling effect on my eyes. I don’t really deal with dark circles (which many say it helps tremendously), but I use it every morning and I do feel like it brightens my eyes and wakes up my face. It gives a really nice sheen and just a healthy little glow. I sweep it on under my eyes, on my brow bone, and even sometimes on my cheekbones.
HOW TO: After you moisturize, apply around the entire eye and on the orbital bone for a brighter appearance. You can even use it as a highlighter on your cheekbones, cupid’s bow, nose or anywhere else you want a glow effect. Due to the unique balm texture of this product, you can reapply throughout the day to energize and brighten the eye area.
First of all, this Face Mask Stick smells absolutely incredible. This stick design makes it so easy to apply the product to the face, but I did have to use my fingers to fill in around my nose because the wide stick made it difficult to get in the crevices. After just the first use, my face felt incredibly clean and hydrated. I’ve used it several times and have enjoyed the process and the short-term results, I’m hoping to notice a considerable reduction in pores (as others have reported) after consistent and extended use.
HOW TO: For best results, use 2–3 times per week. Apply an even layer to damp or dry skin, avoiding contact with your eyes. Let sit for 8–10 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.
Tula Detoxing and Toning Face Mask Stick
I ordered these treatment pads years ago when they were first released on the Tula site and I immediately LOVED them. I was pumped when they started carrying them at Nordstrom a couple of years ago because it’s so easy to throw a box in my order every now and then.
If you don’t have a good exfoliation step in your weekly skin care routine, you definitely need to add one, especially if you are over 30. I tell ya, we need all the help with skin cell turnover that we can get! Haha! These treatment pads “provide both chemical and physical exfoliation without any of the downtime”. I MEAN! And a total bonus is that they are individually packaged so they are a breeze to travel with.
These pads are very gentle. I have fairly sensitive skin, and I don’t experience ANY stinging or redness after using these pads. None at all.
HOW TO: Apply on clean skin 2–3 times per week. Put your fingers in the pad and rub the white side all of your face. All of the plant fibers and extracts will be on your face, and then you flip the pad and rub the other side all over your face (in circular motions) for 1-2 minutes. I splash my face with warm water and wipe off the excess product with a rag.
After you rinse the product off and your face fully dries, you won’t believe how soft and clean your face feels. My face also feels quite a bit tighter after using these pads.
This side is the plant fiber side, which is Step 1. After rubbing this on your face, there will be white fibers all over your face.
Tula Skin Reviving Treatment Pads
For Step 2, you flip the pad over and rub this ever so slightly abrasive side in circular motions all over your face as well. I’m telling you, your face will feel softer and tighter even after just the first treatment!
