Look what I received in the mail a couple of weeks ago!
An advanced copy of Sophie’s new book: Home is Where My People Are.
AN ADVANCED COPY Y’ALL. I’M ALL SORTS OF FANCY.
I’m also all sorts of pinching myself.
Sophie, who blogs over at BooMama is one of the first 5 blogs I ever read. Shay and I had the opportunity to meet her a couple of years ago (along with Melanie Shankle and Kelly Stamps), and I just about lost my mind.
me, Sophie (Boo Mama), Melanie (Big Mama), Kelly (Kelly’s Korner) and Shay
And now I get advanced copies of her books and sweet handwritten notes from Sophie herself. I mean, y’all. It’s all too much.
And the book? Well, it’s greatness.
I’m only a couple of chapters in, but I’ve already snorted several times.
And in between the snorting, I was nodding my headed in agreement. And only 7 pages in, I already had a lump in my throat at one point. This book is good girls.
Click HERE if you can’t stand it and would like to pre-order one for yourself!
GIRLS.
THIS scarf.
THIS scarf!!!
It is most certainly a new favorite of mine!
It’s $20 and it’s SUPER similar to our favorite fringe scarf from last year that has been
sold out for a sweet forever.
Other items in picture:
MUST HAVE shirt HERE, new MUST HAVE jeans HERE , earrings c/o Gorjana and at Nordstrom HERE, similar boots HERE
(Also, you know I only recommend the MUST HAVE shirt in black (due to wrinkles), but if you like other colors, there are several ON SALE HERE.)
The scarf is voluminous (which I LOVE!) like the one from last year, and it’s fringy like the one from last year. And it also totally styles itself. The only difference is that you don’t even loop it!
See the picture below to see what I mean.
You just slip it over your head and zhuzh it. Do you know what zhuzh means?
You just mess with it until it looks like you want it to!
Love.

I was out running errands last week, and I threw on my ombre blardigan with a white tee, a scarf (sold out, sorry), a leopard belt, and cardy UGGs. And you can find jeans similar to the ones I’m wearing by the same maker HERE (in a lighter wash) and HERE (in a darker wash).
It was super cozy and yet I felt totally put together!
I think this same outfit would be so cute with a pop of color with the pink fringy scarf above (found HERE ).
If you want to shop the look, click on the pics below!

I HAVE SOME GREAT NEWS!!!!!
Nordstrom re-stocked the new MUST HAVE JEANS!
Okay…..so I posted this on facebook last night…and now only size 0-4 remain.
DANGIT!!!!!!!
I’ve received nothing by RAVING REVIEWS from those of you that already received yours! Yay!
For size reference, I am wearing a size 4, so I feel like they are true to size.
Some reviews say to order down a size, but I’m glad I got my normal size.
If you want to see my full review of these jeans and why I love them so much, click HERE for the original post!

You might have seen this on my Thursday post also….
I ordered THESE kicks because they were on sale last week (and because I loved the look of them). Well….I got them Wednesday night….AND OH MY WORD AT THE COMFY.
AND THEY ARE STILL ON SALE!
Click HERE to see my exact shoes.
All Nike Free for women ON SALE HERE.
We started a conversation about them on facebook (you can read a lot of comments about them HERE), and I loved what Brooke had to say about them!
Brooke Rush Love mine! From my understanding they got started with the “new” thought of barefoot running and letting our feet do the work they are supposed to. The padded, etc… running shoes may actually make our feet and the rest of our body work not as well. Hence the name free. Just a fun fact. I think they are very comfortable and have a nicer look than most athletic shoes.
I ordered these shoes because I’m currently working on a post for Zella work out gear. I received my order yesterday and I’m telling you….it’s everything I hoped it would be. And more. Two of the things I ordered (and will be featuring sometime in the next couple of weeks) are now ON SALE!
I ordered a medium in the hoodie and a small in the pants.
CHECK OUT THESE PRICES!

I got a blog comment earlier this week from a reader (thank you Paula!) about a military jacket that she was considering getting.
She wanted my opinion, and when I opened the link, I squealed.
I bought a Caslon military jacket about a year and half ago that I adore. I wear it constantly and it appears on the blog all the time, but it’s been sold out forever.
Well.
It looks like Caslon has a 2015 version! And it looks awesome!
AND it comes in green, grey, and camo.
Click HERE for the new Caslon military jackets!
These military jackets are year round jackets. You can wear them in fall and winter with a long sleeve shirt and a scarf! You can wear them in the spring with short sleeve tees and even tanks under them!
And to be honest, I carry mine around a lot even in the summer because I like to throw it on in movies and restaurants.
You guys know I have 3 military jackets that I’ve collected over the years, and my Caslon one is my favorite one. It’s just a great jacket. Period.

I went to lunch over Christmas break with some girls that I met because they were readers,
and I now consider them friends!!!
Shout out to Jennifer, her sister Jamie, and Jennifer’s daughter Maddie!
We met in downtown McKinney, ate lunch at Harvest, and then followed it up with pie.
Because of course we did.
I wore this Anthro top and totally wish it was still in stock so I could link to it for you ladies.
But alas, it is not.
My jacket is sold out too (sorry), but you can find my leather tote HERE (use code PTMTSHIP4FREE for free shipping)!
Even though my exact top is sold out, there are several tops by the same maker that have similar details and flare!
Click on a pic if interested!

Such great favorites!!! I love Sophie Hudson!! Last year I was at a Beth Moore convention and spotted her out. I probably made a fool of myself because I totally made my way through 10,000 women to introduce myself!! She is so cool! and I totally need one of those scarves!! Looks like a great scarf for dummies (ME)!!! 😉 Happy Friday!

Love that scarf! You look great as always, and I keep peeking over your shoulder at that beautiful house! I'll be glad when you share your home, too!
I've been praying for Shay and for their flight home:)
Sara says
I'm totally ordering the grey military jacket (since I already have a green one)! Do the Caslon jackets run true to size?
Sheaffer says
Hi Sara! Yes, true to size! Well, at least my other one was. I tried to try this new one on in the store yesterday, but they didn't have it stocked yet. I have a small in my other Caslon jacket! Hope this helps!
xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

That anthro top is the perfect example of why I LOVE this blog. Never would have bought that top if you hadn't featured it but it quickly became a staple and I wore it all December. Now I don't really NEED that Eden Flora top, right? 😉 {btw, sad story that I think only you would appreciate – I was cleaning up for my in-laws wearing said anthro top and my FAVORITE wedge cognac boots. I went to change out the scents on my scentsy warmer and somehow in the process dripped hot wax all the way down one boot. Devastation. I'm not sure they are salvageable but heading to a shoe repair today to see if they can at least maybe dip them? Womp womp.

I ordered a scarf, hope I love it (i know i will, i love everything I've ordered that you've suggested) since I'm still kicking myself for not getting last year's must have scarf. (I gave it as christmas gifts but didn't get myself one) Also, I missed the Bachelor premier so I'm waiting to read your recap until after I can watch it online Monday. I've never watched before, but I read your recaps last time and died laughing so I'm excited b to join in the fun and watch along with you!
Michele @ The Joyful Home says
I ordered that Zella jacket yesterday because I couldn't believe the price, and I also featured it in today's blog post. Can't wait to see if it fits as good as it looks. Happy Friday!

So excited about my new Must Have Jeans. They are as fabulous and comfortable as you say!! Quick question…I ordered two different sizes and I am torn on which size to keep. How much do they stretch throughout the day?
FreezingintheBUCKEYEstate says
Love! Love! Love the blardigan outfit! You look adorable! I'm thinking of ordering the Ivanka Trump black boots you pictured just a few weeks ago. Any thoughts? I thought you ordered them. I have ordered and returned 4 pairs of black boots in the last month, getting frustrated (would go to mall but it's -10 here…..ain't going outside unless we need toilet paper!). ⛄️

Hi Sheaffer! Long time reader here. I just wanted to let you and your readers know that I have the Caslon jacket from awhile back that you talked about today. I love it and think I've worn it almost as much as you have. It truly is quite versatile. Last week in Nordstrom, I bought the new jacket in the camo print, and I might love it even more than the original jacket. I can't really put my finger on why, but I like the fit better. Anyway, I highly recommend it. And my sister and my mom both loved it so much that they both got one. My sister got the camo too (she's in college and very fashionable!), and my mom got the grey. We all have a shared love for you blog and love talking about our PTMT purchases! We are feeling pretty smart this morning since we had the jackets before you even talked about them. Thanks for everything! Jennifer

I have been telling all of my friends who watch the Bachelor to read your blog…your Prince Farming recap was hilarious! I love the blardigan, white shirt and scarf look. Put together, but comfy at the same time…perfection!

I'm new to your blog and loving it!
Just a tip- there are some very similar jeans to your must-have-jeans on the Nordstrom Rack site. They are also Wit and Wisdom so I imagine they are pretty close. My sister bought these and says they are super comfy!
https://www.nordstromrack.com/shop/product/1021218/democracy-wit-wisdom-jegging?color=DENIM#results
The sizes are limited but I was able to get mine. They will be WAY too long for me as I am only 5'1" but I was going to tuck them into boots anyhow.
Anyway, might be something to check out since they are super cheap and come recommended by my super sis!
Again, love your blog and can't wait for more fashion tips. Heaven knows I need someone to get me out of my yoga pants! 🙂

I've been love, love, loving the Zella gear I picked up during the Anniversary sale. I bought a pair of the "live in" capris and I totally would have to say they that they are comparable to my Lululemon in quality and at a fraction of the cost. Cannot wait to read your Zella post.
