As of this morning, the jeans were available in all sizes, so you can breathe easy for now. 🙂
Now, some of you loyal girls might have already ordered this new MUST HAVE when I first spoke about them a couple of weeks ago…..and it was actually you ladies that helped me realize that these weren’t just another pair of jeans, they were DEFINITELY a new MUST HAVE.

I can’t say enough great things about these jeans.
They are FLATTERING AS ALL GET OUT, they are stretchy, they are comfy, SUPER CRAZY SOFT,they hold their shape, and I’m not sure if I’ve already mentioned this…
but they’re flattering.
AS ALL GET OUT.
And comfy.
Did I say that already?
And they tuck into tall boots BEAUTIFULLY.
And my goodness are they flattering.

I also want to mention that these are NOT junior’s sizing. They are from the women’s department, so I know lots of you are going to be happy about that!
They remind me of a jegging.
Now let me be clear, they are NOT a jegging….but they do remind me of jeggings (because of their comfort and softness).
How do I know they aren’t jeggings?
Well, they have real fully functioning pockets in both front and back as
well as fully functioning belt loops.
They are definitely jeans.
But they do have jegging like qualities.
They are jegging-ish, if you will.
They have all of the best qualities of a jegging, BUT THEY ARE STILL A JEAN.
Just like the good Lord intended.
Amen.
Here I am wearing the new MUST HAVE jeans earlier this week.
The gingham shirt and the sweater are both several years old, but you can still find both the earrings and necklace (both c/o Gorjana and Griffin). The earrings are at Nordstrom HERE and the necklace is on the Gorjana site HERE.
You may or may not know this, but it’s really hard to take good selfies of your jeans.
If you have never tried it (and I’m hoping guessing none of you ever have), you are just going to have to trust me on this. I think I might have pulled a muscle in my back trying to get a good back view for you girls, but alas it wasn’t meant to be.
The pics below are meant to show you that these are I guess what you would call a mid-rise jean. I know they will fit a little bit differently on everybody, but they fit just below my belly button (which is why I’m calling them a mid-rise).
When I first talked about these jeans I said they were “higher wasted”…and they are….but they are not high-waisted, if that makes any kind of sense at all.
Higher Waisted? YES.
High Waisted? NO.
Yep, that should be as clear as mud now.

For size reference, I am wearing a size 4, so I feel like they are true to size.
Some reviews say to order down a size, but I’m glad I got my normal size.

I have them and I love them. You are right about them being comfy. And I also agree that they are really flattering. I am not junior's sizing, so I love that they are women's sizing. Hi Rebekah! I'm ALMOST 5'4", and I do have to cuff the jeans once before tucking them into tall boots, but the material is so soft and stretchy that the cuff isn't bulky and it's not a problem! Hope this helps! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

As of right now, some sizes are backordered but only a few days. I ordered a size 4 and they are backordered until 12/29. Hopefully that won't change like it did with the Kate Spade earrings that got cancelled!

Nice jeans! My husband was doing his last minute Christmas shopping and was in Nordstrom. I already have a Blardigan but he knows how much I like it so he was looking for something similiar. He actually asked the saleswoman for where the Blardigans were! She told him they were in the robe department but they had very similiar sweaters, and she pointed them out. He got me a great Blardigan style cardigan! I was proud that he asked for it by name and even more thrilled that the saleswoman knew what he meant!

I ordered the must-have jeans when you posted about them and received them on Christmas eve! I was a little nervous ordering jeans on-line because it's really hard for me to find jeans that fit me. OMG…I love them so much. I did size down and they fit great. I'm going to bring them in to Nordstrom this weekend and have them hemmed since I'm a shortie.

BOMB jeans (to quote the young folk). Seriously though, tried on in store after reading your last post and purchased right away. Hubby was with me and he approved of the rear view. I have to say the SELLING feature was they looked as GOOD as my very expensive jeans and were 100x's more COMFORTABLE. In my store they had black as well and I am going back for them. MOMMA NEEDS COMFORT to chase the littles and these DELIVER.

Let it be known: I went into Anthro at North Park this morning fully expecting to see you there because of the sale (extra 25% off clearance!!). Also, everything I picked up was welcomed with this internal dialogue: Would this meet Pinterest Told Me To criteria and would I wear this with at least 4 different things. You'll be happy to know that my purchases met all criterion. 🙂

These jeans look great. I've been looking for a dark pair of skinny jeans that aren't low rise or juniors sizes (i'm in my 30s) and can tuck into jeans without bunching. These went right on my wish list. I hope they still have them when I can actually by them.

Mine came Wednesday and I wore them Thursday with my riding boots for Christmas Day . I just turned fifty, have had three kids and these jeans are PERFECT. I'm usually a 12 or 14 and 10 was just right! So comfortable!

Okay, so I started reading Shay's blog two years ago when I was 18 which lead me to your blog. I have been seeing you talk about the Blardigan and the Wellies this entire time and wondering if I should splurge for them because they are very expensive and at my age I rarely spend that kind of money on myself but I was reading your santa alerts and thought I'm just going to do this! I went to check out the jeans as soon as you put them on your blog. No more than two minutes after the sales person showed me where they were, another customer came in asking for them! I bought my usual size, but after wearing them for a couple of hours, they bagged out..mainly in the knee area. Nordstrom happily exchanged them for the next size down and they're much better….so comfortable and no muffin top!
Also, I had the baseball style sweater jacket in my shopping cart but didn't pull the trigger fast enough and now it's unavailable both online and in stores:(.

Ordered my size & of course it was out of stock. LOVE Nordstrom's Customer Service as much as your blog. After reading all of the comments, I called & the service rep agreed…. MUST order one size DOWN in these. Woo hoo! Great looking jeans in a smaller than normal size? I will take it. Can't wait to get my birthday present, along with the HUE leggings! (CS rep also said these are a MUST have!)

I ordered the Wit and Wisdom jeans and LOVE them! I was a little scared when you said "mid-rise" because normally I cringe if jeans hit me at a certain spot on my belly, but I love them. They are so comfortable! I did not size down and just went with my normal size. Thanks for the recommendation!! Love the price too!

Has anyone tried the black jeans? I have and LOVE the indigo must haves and want to try the black ones but am not as confident in them after reading the reviews of the dye smell. Anyone experienced this? TIA
