A big part of blog prep every week is searching online and finding things I want to order and possibly feature.  There are several things I added to my cart this week that I’m super excited about receiving.

This tie dye dress from Old Navy looks like it was made for me.  I think I’m going to love it, and it’s under $20 right now!  I also threw this adorable smocked star top in my cart.  I only wish I had it to wear this weekend.

These neutral studded sandals are on their way to me!  I’m excited!

I’ve had some inquiries for wedding guest dress suggestions, and this ruffle tie neck shift dress caught my eye.  I’m hoping to love it and to recommend it to y’all soon.  Another wedding dress option is this pink and green stunner.  I think it’s such a charming dress.

I ordered this UNDER $10 t-shirt dress in coral and in the navy and white stripe.  The reviews are fantastic and I’ve seen it on several other influencers and it’s adorable.  IT’S UNDER $10, y’all.

This Be The Good tee is going to be so happy to live with me.  I got it in grey and I absolutely love the message.

KIMONO ON SALE

This kimono is FANTASTIC and it’s ON SALE!!!  I’m wearing the “green”, but I think it’s more like a turquoise.  It also comes in black, blue, and orange as well as a couple in different patterns. I’m wearing it here with denim shorts, but it would also look great with white jeans and wedges!

WHITE BLOUSE

This embroidered smocked top is really special.  It’s beautifully made with lovely smocking, pretty vintage looking embroidery, and pin tuck detailing on the sleeves.  (You can see a close up picture above in the overhead shot with the turquoise bracelet.)

It’s 100% cotton, and the quality is amazing.  For size reference, I’m wearing the small, and it’s still quite roomy.  You can see in the picture on the right how large and swingy the fit is.  If you’re tall and thin, you might want to wear it out.  At 5’4″,  I needed to do a half tuck to help give me a bit of shape.

A COUPLE OF AMAZON FINDS

I am DYING over this cover up.  The colors are vibrant, the pattern is so fun, and the silhouette is totally chic!  A huge bonus is that I feel like it makes me look several inches taller than I actually am.  There’s a tie at the waist, so you can cinch it in or let it out according to your wishes.

This color block dress is DARLING!  It’s got a loose and flowy fit, cute fluttered sleeves, and it feels a bit silky to the touch.  It is very generously cut.  I’m wearing a small, and there’s still quite a bit of room.

HELLO FRESH

We’re still eating the heck out of Hello Fresh over here and absolutely loving it.  My favorite meal last week was steak with mushroom sauce.  I love having all of the correct measurements for ingredients, the meals are such a time saver, we are having fun cooking together, AND we love the new and different meals we are eating (that we would never be eating if not for Hello Fresh).  If you are interested in trying Hello Fresh for yourself, click HERE to order through my code and get $40 OFF!

I think that my favorite part of this meal was the mushroom sauce.  Fresh mushrooms, beef stock, garlic, and sour cream (not in yet) all came together to make a decadent sauce.

Our Place’s Always Pan

This particular meal had steak with mushroom sauce, roasted potatoes, and roasted carrots.  It was absolutely delicious, and I always love how proud Carter is of the meals he prepares.

DENIM REVIEW

I’ve been living in denim shorts and some really great t-shirt dresses all summer long, and I’ve been loving it.  I have however received a fair amount of requests for new jeans.  On the occasion that I have worn jeans, I’ve been wearing a straight legged cropped and distressed pair that is no longer available, so I set out to find some great jean options for y’all.

Because I am who I am, all 4 pairs I ordered were Wit and Wisdom.  Hey, I like what I like, and I like STRETCHY jeans.  Because life is too short to wear jeans with no stretch.  You can go ahead and needlepoint that on a pillow.

These light wash cropped jeans are so much fun!  They are cropped with a cuffed hem, and the turn of the cuff has a raw edge.  They have a side panel that goes all the way down the length of the jeans (see online picture for detail) that makes them unique and fun.  For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4.

Don’t let these flare leg jeans scare you, the flare is subtle and not overwhelming at all.  They are a medium wash, so even thought I would 100% wear them now, they will also transition easily to fall.  For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4.

These cropped and cuffed straight leg jeans are a great relaxed fit.  They can be described as “slim, but slouchy” if that makes any sense.  Haha!  They are a light to medium wash and would work in spring, summer, and fall.  For size reference, I’m wearing my regular 4.

These straight leg jeans have a lived in look, but they accomplish it without any distressing!  They are right on trend with the straight leg, and I love the medium wash. For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4.

THE GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY

Last weekend we got to do something really special…

We helped my parents celebrate their 50th anniversary!  Look how cute they are!

We took them to Al Bernait’s and had a lovely dinner and a wonderful time.  Love these parents of mine and the example they have set for us.
