Happy Monday, friends!
Today’s post is ALL ABOUT BEAUTY! Well, it’s actually all about beauty and one super cute dress…but we’ll get to that in a minute. I’m super excited to share some new beauty finds that I’ve added to my arsenal this summer.
While I tend to be extremely loyal to certain products, I’ve made it a priority to start consistently trying new products as well. I’ve found that when I do this, I often times find some really great NEW favorites (I’m looking at YOU)! Such is the case today. But don’t you worry, I’m including some old favorites as well. In addition to the new products, I’m also highlighting some products I’ve talked about before that have become part of my daily or weekly routine. If I’m talking about them again, you can guarantee it’s because I really believe in them.
Let’s start with these 2 Supergoop products.
BECAUSE Y’ALL.
These two sunscreens are FANTASTIC. (Click HERE to check out all that Supergoop has to offer for both face and body.)
Glow Screen / Unseen Sunscreen
The Supergoop Glow Screen (seen on the left) is one of the products on today’s post that I’ve been using for over a year now. Even though I’ve talked about it before, it absolutely HAD to be included on a summer beauty post.
It has a beautiful tint to it with a glowy finish, but it’s not too glowy or sparkly. It’s described on the site as a lightweight, pearlescent sunscreen with SPF 40 that hydrates the skin.
I do not enjoy a sparkly face, so I was very happy to find that it just gives a healthy looking sheen and highlight, without all the glitter. It has SPF 40 in it so it protects your skin beautifully from the sun’s harmful rays AND it gives really pretty coverage. It doesn’t leave you greasy or oily, you just get protection with a pretty finish. Another bonus is that it has hyaluronic acid!
Sometimes I use it under makeup simply as my sunscreen and primer, but most often it’s the only “foundation” I wear during the warm weather months. I LOVE that this product can kill 2 birds with 1 stone. It gives me the SPF I need and the coverage I want! I LOVE IT SO SO MUCH.
Now let’s talk about the Unseen Sunscreen. For outdoor days, I’ve recently started doubling up with the Glow Screen and the Unseen Sunscreen. The directions for the Unseen Sunscreen are to use it as a makeup primer. However, I use it differently. I apply the Glow Screen in the morning, just as I would if I was just applying makeup for the day (but with the added SPF 40 benefit). Then, I use the Unseen Sunscreen throughout the day to reapply additional coverage as needed. This stuff is incredible. It’s velvety in texture and it totally just glides on your skin, even over your makeup.
My skin absorbs the Unseen Sunscreen very quickly (like IMMEDIATELY!) and there is NO TRACE of it. It’s not oily or greasy, it gives a matte finish, and it doesn’t leave any white residue behind either. Also, from reading reviews, it seems it’s awesome for people with super sensitive skin. I’m telling you, the product is absolutely incredible.

The Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream is another tried and true favorite. I added this moisturizer into my routine after reading about it on several blogs and in several “BEST OF” beauty articles about 3 years ago now. Lots of users compared it to the much more expensive La Mer line, but said they preferred this product! That was it, I was convinced I needed to try it. A little goes a long way with this cream, and it’s not greasy, but it is incredibly hydrating. There is a very light rose scent to this cream, and I don’t normally care for rose, but it doesn’t bother me at all. In fact, I enjoy it.
I’m now devoted to it. It has a cult following and a large group of women that absolutely swear by it. I’m now a part of that group.
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream / Charlotte Tilbury Super Radiance Resurfacing Exfoliating Mask
While I was at the mall just last week picking up a new tub of Magic Cream for myself, I asked the Charlotte Tilbury rep if there was anything else she recommended. Without hesitation, she said the Radiance Resurfacing Exfoliating Mask. Now, full disclosure, I’ve only used this product twice. I can’t speak to long term effects just yet, but I can say that my face felt fantastic after the first use. I will say that there was definitely a tingling while it was on my face, but it didn’t burn or hurt. And here’s the deal, I like a good tingle (as long as it’s not accompanied with redness). That tells me it’s working!
Officially, it’s a facial exfoliant with a resurfacing AHA, BHA and PHA acid blend. It also has hydrating polyglutamic acid that works to reveal radiant, glowing, and youthful skin. UM, OKAY! I’m excited to use this product consistently to see long term results.

Okay, I’ve got two more products you’ve heard me talk about before. But again, I’m using them consistently, so I wanted to make sure I mentioned them.
Tula skin reviving treatment pads / Tula eye brightener
I’ve actually been using this product for 6-7 months now and really enjoy it. The Tula eye brightener glides on very easily and has a wonderful cooling effect on my eyes. I don’t really deal with dark circles (which many say it helps tremendously), but I use it every morning and I do feel like it brightens my eyes and wakes up my face. It gives a really nice sheen and just a healthy little glow. It wakes me up! I sweep it on under my eyes, on my brow bone, and even sometimes on my cheekbones.
HOW TO: After you moisturize, apply around the entire eye and on the orbital bone for a brighter appearance. You can even use it as a highlighter on your cheekbones, cupid’s bow, nose or anywhere else you want a glow effect. Due to the unique balm texture of this product, you can reapply throughout the day to energize and brighten the eye area.
I ordered these treatment pads years ago when they were first released on the Tula site, and I immediately fell in love. I have no idea why I didn’t order them again back then, my only explanation is that because I wasn’t ordering anything else from TULA, it was just too much of a hassle and then I just forgot about them. WELL. Now that they are on the Nordstrom site, they are readily available to all of us, AND I AM PUMPED. This is my 2nd time to now buy them on the Nordstrom site. I like using them about twice a week, but it takes some self control not to use them more often (because your face feels so awesome after)!
If you don’t have a good exfoliation step in your weekly skin care routine, you definitely need to add one, especially if you are over 30. I tell ya, we need all the help with skin cell turnover that we can get! Haha! These treatment pads “provide both chemical and physical exfoliation without any of the downtime”. I MEAN! And a total bonus is that they are individually packaged so they are a breeze to travel with.
Also of importance is that these pads are very gentle. I have fairly sensitive skin, and I don’t experience ANY stinging or redness after using these pads. None at all.
HOW TO: Put your fingers in the pad and rub the white side all of your face. All of the plant fibers and extracts will be on your face, and then you flip the pad and rub the other side all over your face (in circular motions) for 1-2 minutes. I splash my face with warm water and wipe off the excess product with a rag.
After you rinse the product off and your face fully dries, you won’t believe how soft and clean your face feels. My face also feels quite a bit tighter after using these pads.
Just fyi, I don’t think you would need the Charlotte Tilbury Resurfacing Mask AND these pads. I think it’s an either/or type of situation, just depends on what product is more appealing to you.

This NARS Beach Cheek palette was a product that I saw while browsing the site, and I had to have it.
I love this palette, and I know I’m not even using it to it’s full potential as far as the highlighting and contouring capabilities go. Right now, I’m using the top row on my eyes and the bottom row on my cheeks. I’m playing with the colors, mixing them up a bit, and just having fun with all of the beautiful sunkissed colors.
I’ve been using the round brush and the hairspray for a couple of years now, but I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned them?!? This sounds a bit silly, but I use this round brush exclusively for my bangs. It gives them just the right amount of curl and bend when drying them. Before I started using the dryer brush to dry my hair, I used this round brush with my Dyson hair dryer when drying. The hairspray is medium hold, which is perfect for me. I like my hair to hold (obviously), but I still want to run my fingers through it and for it to have some bounce. This hairspray allows that to happen AND I like the way it smells.
The detangler brush is new to me, and it’s FANTASTIC. I leave it in the shower and brush out my hair and wring it out a couple of times before I even step out of the shower. It glides effortless through my wet hair. If you have a little girl, I would think you straight up NEED this brush.

Before we go, I want to talk lipstick and glosses. I NEVER wear a lipstick without a lip gloss on top, although I often wear lip gloss on it’s own. I have a new soft pink combo that I’ve been wearing a lot this summer (you’ll see it in a minute), but with July 4th right around the corner, I wanted to start with this vibrant red!
Ruby Woo is a red lipstick that I found probably 4 years ago now when I was looking for a bright red lip color before July 4th. And now that the 4th is just around the corner again, I knew it needed a mention.
This particular red is supposed to look great on all types of skin tones and with all different hair colors. And it’s definitely a blue red, which is great, because I don’t love a red that leans orange.
And come on, how cute is the red lip with the blue and white striped dress. Somebody take me to a backyard barbecue and a fireworks show!
Ruby Woo lipstick / Champagne lip gloss
The Champagne lip gloss is super shiny, and I LOVE a super shiny gloss. The Ruby Woo on it’s own is a bit harsh for my liking, but after I sweep the champagne gloss on top, it’s a beautiful red that’s perfect for me. If wearing it alone, it’s just a really pretty neutral.

I was going to wait and talk about the outfit later this week, but I realized some of you might want to order it for the 4th, so I need to go ahead and talk about it today! It’s GOOD, y’all. I’ll be wearing it all summer long, but it truly is a perfect dress for the 4th.
The dress also comes in a solid light grey and a neutral zebra, but no surprise here, I was drawn to the blue and white stripes. It’s a cotton jersey with a relaxed fit, and I really love the drawstring waist and the pockets. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.

This silver star necklace is whimsical and darling.

This bracelet set comes in a set of 3 and features 2 toned metallic discs. I love mixing metals, but for those of you that are hesitant to do it, this set makes it easy! My wrists are definitely on the small side, but if you have really tiny wrists, I do think this set will be too large for you.

You can’t go wrong with stripes and a red lip.

And here’s the same dress, but I switched up the shoes, the accessories, and the lipstick and lip gloss!
This time I’m wearing a softer pink combo, and it’s the combo I’ve been reaching for the most this summer. This color combo reads as a soft pink on my lips, and it’s perfect for casual looks for summer. When I’m wearing distressed shorts and a t-shirt, a bold lip typically feels weird…but going without isn’t an option for me. This soft pink is the answer.
lipstick (similar to Kinda Sexy) / Lip Glass lipgloss (Love Child)
I’m sad to report that my exact shade (“syrup”) seems to be sold out right now, but the color “kinda sexy” appears to be a good option.

So you see that I dressed the outfit up a tiny bit here just by switching out my converse for cognac sandals. You could of course dress it up even more with wedges.
blue and white striped dress / sunglasses / open frame pearl earrings / charm necklace / bracelet set / small leather bag with strap/ cognac sandals
The pearl earrings also give it a dressier vibe, and I’m absolutely loving the small cross body with the wavy and colorful strap.

OTHER TRIED AND TRUE FAVORITES…
Before you go, I want to just mention some other tried and true favorites…
* DIORSHOW PLUMPING EYELASH PRIMER – I received this as a sample a couple of years ago, and I’ve been hooked ever since. You apply it to your eyelashes before your mascara, and it lengthens your natural lashes. It keeps lashes separated, prevents clumping, and truly does help your lashes appear longer. I wear it every day now, and can really tell a huge difference if I forget to apply it. (And y’all know I started using THIS PRODUCT on the recommendation of my sister. It’s definitely made my lashes a bit longer, but I haven’t had the amazing results that she and some of y’all have had. I guess I need to be more consistent about using it! Also, click HERE and scroll down the post a bit to see Conner’s CRAZY LONG lashes.)
* Y’all know there’s a new brow pomade I like, but I still love my Bobbi Brown Brow Pencil. And I love how this can be easily thrown into my makeup bag. WHY DIDN’T ANYBODY TELL ME I NEEDED TO BE FILLING IN MY BROWS? I have pretty substantial brows, so I thought I was good in the brow department, but I hadn’t realized they had started thinning. Filling them in makes such a difference! The tip on one side allows me to draw on little brush strokes that mimic hairs, and then the little brush on the other side allows me to shape my brows and soften the marks I draw.
* The Bobbi Brown Cream Shadow Stick is awesome. I wear the Dusty Mauve and absolutely love how it glides on so easily without leaving a harsh line. I dust a neutral color all over my eyelid and arch, and then I apply this just to the eyelid.
* My Riki makeup mirror is one of my absolute favorite items I’ve ever purchased. I reluctantly purchased it a couple of summers ago (because it’s pretty expensive), but it’s been 1000% worth it. It boasts LED lights and provides a perfectly lit environment for doing your makeup ANYWHERE! It lives on my bathroom counter (it’s so much better than using my bathroom mirror to apply makeup), but I also travel with it because it’s light enough to throw in a suitcase. I have the rose gold.

SPRING BEAUTY POST…
Click HERE for my Spring Beauty Finds post. That’s the Supergoop Glow Screen on my face, and you can see how it glows and shimmers!
Here’s a shot of my camera roll, showing several shots of some of the pics from my spring post. None of them were really blog post worthy, but I thought a collage showing some of the “process” was fun!
Okay, that’s it y’all! A huge THANK YOU to Nordstrom and ShopStyle Collective for sponsoring this post!

Hi, Susie! I’m so sorry, but I don’t remember what it’s called! I just picked something at the salon. xoxo
