Summer of Fun Collection with Hi Sugarplum x Gibson!

So what’s the collection all about?

It’s filled with gorgeous and vibrant colors, fun patterns, and the oh so pretty feminine details that Cassie is known for. These clothes are going to make you happy.

SMOCKED SKIRT (BLACK)

Let’s kick things off with this fun and flirty tiered smocked skirt .

I. LOVE. THIS. SKIRT.

It’s swingy and flirty and flattering.  It also comes in a blush pink floral (which you’ll see in a minute) and a gorgeous bright blue shell pattern as well. I didn’t get the blue myself, but I absolutely fell in love with the color at the group shoot that you’ll see more of on Friday.

I love this skirt, but I love this girl even more.

I know I’ve mentioned this in the past, but Cassie is my work wife.  Sometimes we talk 10x a day.  She’s such a supportive friend, she’s a ton of fun to be around, and she is absolutely HYSTERICAL.  I’m so thankful for Cassie and her friendship.  I’m also thankful for all of the cute clothes in my closet that are from all of her previous collections.  Haha!  And I’m not sure if I’ve ever shared this fun little tidbit, but Chris (my husband) and Cassie used to work together in the insurance industry!  One day I was visiting Chris at work, and I remember telling Cassie that I had a blog.  She was like “WHAT?  I have a blog too!”.  #smallworld

This is the same smocked skirt I just showed above, but in a pretty pink floral. There was a size mix up, so I’m wearing an x-small skirt here, but I much prefer the fit of the small (as seen above in the black).

The skirt is insanely comfortable with the smocked waist, and it can easily be dressed up or down.  I’m wearing it with wedges here, but I think it would also look cute with white converse.

Yep, I’m all sorts of thankful for this friendship.

HENLEY AND DRAWSTRING SHORTS

WELL.

If I was giving out awards for THE MOST WORN ITEM in my closet right now, this little set would win hands down.  In fact, just yesterday morning Carter said “You’re wearing that AGAIN?”.  Why yes, YES I AM.  #thanksfornoticing

I’m wearing a small in the henley and in the shorts.  I typically size up in lounge sets like this, but it’s oversized, so my regular size is perfect and still a relaxed fit with some extra room.

I’ve been lounging around in the set for days, but I’ve worn the henley out and about around town as well.  I think it’s super cute paired with my favorite denim shorts and shoreline converse.

The striped tote is bright and colorful, and it’s the perfect bag for this outfit (and for the beach).

EMBROIDERED BLOUSE

This embroidered blouse is so pretty that I grabbed it in two colors.

I love the fresh white with the blue embroidery.  It screams SUMMER!

It’s a peplum cut, but I still like doing a 1/2 tuck.  The little flutter sleeves are so feminine, and although I love it here with my favorite denim shorts, I will definitely pair it with white jeans and wedges as well.  For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.

And here it is in “geranium” with lilac accents.  The colors are so fun together.

My straw tote is from Amazon and only $30.99.  And get this, depending on where you live, you might be able to have it delivered today!  It’s not too big, it’s not too small, and I love the striped lining and tassel.

STRIPED TEE (with embroidery on neck!)

Y’all know I’m a sucker for a great basic tee.

Throw in a bright blue stripe, and I’m totally smitten.  (It comes in solid white as well.)

And I know it’s hard to see with my hair, but look how cute the embroidery is on the neckline!  It says “sun, sugar, summer”.

These colorful hoop earrings come in a 4 pack from Amazon for under $20 with pink, turquoise, and multicolor options.  They are lightweight and absolutely adorable.

I’m wearing 2 bracelets sets tacked together here.  I combined this beach set with some bracelets from this colorful set.  I love them piled up high.

You know I wear my denim jacket all year long.  Even in the heat of summer, most places I go have the air conditioning cranked up, so I always appreciate being able to put on or peel off a layer.

So….I’m totally dying over this precious cover up.

It’s light, gauzy, I love the color, and it’s got cute little tassels.

It’s super short, but I happen to like super short.  I like it buttoned up…

I would be buying and wearing these pieces even if a dear friend wasn’t responsible for them, but the fact that she is just makes my heart swell with pride.  I can’t wait till I get the first compliment when I’m out and about around town.  You can better believe I’ll be like “RIGHT????  MY FRIEND!!!!!  SHE DID THIS!”
