Glad you are here!
Here at Pinterest Told Me To I take outfits that I’ve pinned on Pinterest, and I re-create them with things out of my own closet. This is one of my favorite (if not THE favorite) outfit I’ve put together.
My post for today (Oct. 22) is a guest post that I’m doing for a friend over at Recently, but you can check that out over here.
And if you would like to enter my Friday GIVEAWAY for Lily and Laura bracelets (SO CUTE!), then you can go enter here.
When I saw that the high on Sunday was going to be 70 (with a low of 55), I was DELIGHTED.
Like clap my hands, do a little squeal, and then maybe do some jazz hands delighted.
THAT my friends is a high temperature that justified me wearing cords without the fear of getting sideways looks from people.
This was a big day for me because I LOVE MY NEW CORDS.
Like, the high school kind of love where you want to talk on the phone all the time and not be the first one to say good-bye, so you say “you say good-bye…no you say good-bye” like 276 times and then when you both absolutely refuse to say good-bye you just sit there falling asleep while still on the phone kind of love.
You know what I’m talking about.
Well, that’s how much I love these cords.
I loved this outfit when I first saw it.
However, the only thing I had from the inspiration photo was the white t-shirt.
Leather jacket? nope.
Coral skirt? nope.
Mint green clutch? nope.
A white t-shirt does not an outfit make.
I think it was Confucius who said that.
However, I went to work to re-make this outfit with things that I did have, and that’s when the cords got to come out to play for the first time!
I’m quite certain you will be seeing LOTS of these babies.
(this season….only $22!!!!!!…..
and they have lots and lots of colors including yellow, turquoise, pale pink, and purple)
Actually, I just checked my link, and online today they only have lavendar and yellow, but they will probably re-stock and I know my local Target has the other colors.
(If you want some options for a mint green necklace, see here.)
I think this might be my favorite copy cat outfit to date, and I’m quite sure it has something to do with the fact that I am crushing so hard on these particular cords.
They are just such a yummy color, and I adore the fact that they are stretchy.
Ladies….can I get a head nod from everybody that pants and jeans with a little bit of stretch in them are heaven sent and NECESSARY?
My waist SO appreciates not ending the day with that red line around it that it often has if I wear pants that don’t have some stretch in them.
(I suddenly just got really self-conscious. You know about the red line, right?)
These pants are just the right amount of stretchy (which means they let you breathe and eat, but you don’t end up with saggy butt at the end of the day). Two very important things I look for in a pant.
I want to talk on the phone with these cords and say
“I Love You more….no, I Love You more…..no, I Love You more…….”
