So y’all know that I’ve become a big ol’ fan of the UGG® brand.
I bought my first pair a couple of years ago (the lattice cardy boots, now sold out), then I got the new slim profile boots back in November (see post HERE), and I fell in love with the buckle ankle booties back in January (see that post HERE).
So when Nordstrom asked if I could talk about the spring options from UGG®, I couldn’t say “yes” fast enough. And then I ordered 3 pair (actually, I ordered 5 total, because I ordered 2 colors each in 2 different pair). What can I say, I’m thorough. I only planned on keeping one pair (but as you’ll see, I’m currently trying to talk myself out of a 2nd pair). Anyway, I bet some of you didn’t know UGG® was a year round brand (because I didn’t until this year). I thought it was only those big clunky snow boots that”weren’t really me”, but boy was I wrong! #givemealltheuggs
I found several different styles online that I liked. For starters, I ordered THESE T-strap wedges in both black and brown. I thought they were the most versatile and could easily be dressed up or down! And I liked both a lot, but I loved the brown. Notice all of the details: I love the t-strap, the color, and the texture on both the strap over the toes and the actual wedge itself! They aren’t so high that I feel unsteady, but high enough that I don’t feel dowdy. And MY WORD ARE THEY COMFY! I love the natural color they come in as well, but I feel like my cork wedges (order 1/2 a size up) fulfill that need, and I felt like my black MK wedges from last year fulfill my need for black wedges. So brown it was!
I mean, COME ON! THESE are some seriously cute wedges (true to size)! I’m wearing THESE jeans (true to size, I wear a 27).
And if you are a visual person like me, I thought you might want to see them in black as well. I took some pics before I took them back!
Here’s the entire outfit I was wearing, If you can’t tell, I am ready for Spring. 😉 My cardi comes in tons of colors, but I really loved the fresh green! And I thought it was fun to pair the green with the turquoise necklace. (And I’m wearing my white Caslon tee from my white tee review.) Size References: I’m wearing a small in the tee and cardi (so they are both true to size). I sized up and am wearing a medium in the cami. The jeans are true to size (I wear a 27), and the wedges are true to size.

And a bit of a close up of the jeans and wedges. They really are THE PERFECT ANKLE JEAN to wear all spring and summer long with booties, flats, wedges, and sandals. And actually they are also perfect in fall and winter to tuck into tall boots without any bagging at the knees. These jeans are definitely an investment, but in my personal experience, they have been VERY worth it.
AND Y’ALL! MY WATCH IS ON SALE AGAIN!!!!
watch ON SALE! / similar bracelet / FYI, a ton of Michael Kors watches are on sale HERE!!! Lots of great choices!
And come on, how much do you love THE NECKLACE?!?! I think it’s a great deal at $32. The length is perfect, it’s very unique, and you know I love the turquoise.
And then for fun, I wanted to show you how the wedges work with these awesome light wash flare jeans. For size reference, I’m wearing a 5 in the flare jeans (which says they are equal to a women’s 4), so I found them to be true to size. You can only kind of see them peeking out from below the flare, but they are a good height (AND comfy for all day waear). MY WORD I’m a fan of how a flare and wedge paired together make my legs look wayyyyyyyyyyy longer than they actually are. #trickery #magic
UPDATE! THE JEANS ARE ON SALE FOR 40% OFF, MAKING THEM ONLY $34.80!
And because many of you say you prefer the indoor selfie pics (because you think you can see the items better), here you go! #iamtoplease
And with the flare jeans (ON SALE!) here:
THIS pair is one of the other pair I ordered (and the pair that I’m currently talk myself out of). Can you say darling? Because DARLING. I absolutely love the fun ribbon and the tie around the ankle style. I totally plan on sending them back (because I was only expecting to buy 1 pair). However, they are still sitting in the box in my house. The one thing I’m worried about is if the ribbon will remained tightly tied when walking, or if it will loosen throughout the day (and then start looking sloppy). They have great reviews, so maybe if tied tightly enough it’s okay? I feel like even just walking around the house they loosened a bit. These were true to size for me as well. And soooooooooooooo comfy! And, I’m not sure if I mentioned this already, but DARLING.
I took a picture of the cream ones in store. They are really pretty as well, and I love the detail on the back of them!
And I tried on THESE slide-ons this week. They are really flat, so if you need any arch support these aren’t for you. But they are a great casual look, and slip on sandals are hard to find this year (most of them seem to have ankle straps).
And here are the other colors they come in.
THESE aren’t really me, but if you are a fan of Birks, these are a great option with the same super casual feel that are a little more polished looking!
And THESE are some other wedge choices. I was worried the strap around the ankle might be too thick on these to wear with jeans, and I also thought they might “cut off” my leg and make me look shorter than I already am. Still, it’s a really cute shoe and thought some of you might want to see them!
Here are all the Spring UGG® styles that I’m loving! And to just make sure you are getting them theme here…. if it’s UGG®, we know it’s going to be comfy. INCREDIBLY comfy. 😉
A huge thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post! This is actually a series, so stay tuned for part 2 where I pair the wedges with THIS high/low jersey maxi dress and my MUST HAVE denim jacket. It comes in black and 5 additional gorgeous colors as well! This dress is perfect for us petite girls with the high-low hem. I often feel like maxis over power my smaller frame, but not this one! It really is an awesome dress (and the high-low hem shows of your shoes). It’s a great deal at $68! My neighbor has it in blue (so pretty!), and I got it in black.
That’s all for today! Have a wonderful weekend with your people!

Have we discussed how EVERY time I see you in a flare jean I decide I need a pair? EVERY time they arrive and I have to return-I’m reminded that my body apparently wasn’t made for a flare. You look so cute in those flare jeans!!!

Shea-ffer! How cute are those wedges?!? And girl…I used to always think red was your color, but now, I think green might be! Gorgeous!

Hi Sheaffer, These are adorable but my questions are about the jeans. At what age do you think it’s not ok to wear jeans with rips? I am in my mid 40’s and my children say they are too young for me! Thanks 🙂
Sheaffer says
HI Ann! That’s a great question! I think you have to consider a couple of things. First and foremost, if you feel comfortable, I say go for it! Personally, I tend to reach for jeans that aren’t SUPER distressed. Like large rips all the way up and down just look younger to me. I also stay away from rips that are too close to the pockets. Hope this helps! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

I have the UGG ribbon’d wedges from two years ago…they are pricey, but they are SOOO comfortable and well worth it! The ribbon does not come undone if you tie it sufficiently. Love that they have an updated version as well 🙂

Yeah! I have some Kate Spade espadrille wedges similar to the ones you’re wearing and I love them! Thank God I found some cute maternity flares because I look like I”m about to tip over like Humpty Dumpty when I wear my skinnies with them and this big ole’ belly. 🙂

Oh, Sheaffer, so much to say, so little time. Ok plenty of time, but it sounded good. A. My green Chaus roll sleeve blouse just arrived and it is darling. You need to re-order and keep it this time!! B. The natural and cream Ugg wedges are to die for!! C. I just ordered some Seven skinny ankle jeans but if they don’t work, those AGs are next at my doorstep. D. Thanks for answering the “too old for torn jeans” question…I am 37 with 3 kids but I’ve ordered some and can’t wait to see if I feel comfortable in them. You look adorable in them…but you also look about 15 years younger than me 🙂

Hi sheaffer! In regards to the ugg wedges with the bow on the back, I Invested in those last spring, and oh my goodness do I love them!! They add that extra “spunk” to any outfit! I had the problem of the bow coming undone too, I just double knot them to make sure they stay tight around my ankle! Hope this helps for anyone thinking of purchasing them! (Well worth the price, in my opinion) and very comfy!

A) Your pedi is perfection! I haven’t seen my feet since last October, so I’m a little nervous.
2) The bow-back sandals…DARLING! #youmustkeepthose #Illwriteyouapermissionslipifnecessary
Last) Love you in that green!

Love that necklace to pieces!! Such a great price – and the ribbon wedges…love!! I think you have a Kendra Scott Elisa pendant? I’m wanting to take advantage of their 1/2 off bday item, and I’m wanting a white. Just curious if yours is just the white pearl or drusy – I remember loving yours when you posted. Thanks!!

I love wedges and am so glad they are making a strong come back and they look great with those flare leg jeans. I wanted to let you know that I featured your blog on my Shout Out Saturday post today as one of my favorite fashion blogs.

Late to post, but i LOVE the flares on you! I’m usually not a wedge girl, but those t-strap ones look fantastic. I’m placing an order to see if I can walk in them without breaking an ankle.
