But they are 3 items that I am going to strongly suggest that you own.
Because WOW.
HOLY COMFY.
HOLY SIT ON A COUCH, CURL UP WITH A BLANKET, and WATCH A TOM HANKS MOVIE COMFY.
I mean really.
The Green Mile, Castaway, Forrest Gump, Sleepless in Seattle, You’ve Got Mail…
or the little known (but MUCH LOVED by me) That Thing You Do.
Just get the 3 items I’m talking about today and stream one of these movies.
And put COMFY MOVIE DAY on your calendar somewhere.
You’re welcome.
So, first up….
I’m talking about the new UGG® slim profile boots.
That’s right ladies.
UGG® has gone and fancied up their signature boot, so when they asked if I would help get the word out, I was TOTALLY on board.
Basically, these new boots are everything we know and love about UGG®,
but now they are prettier and more feminine because they are MUCH slimmer!
And if you are like me, you want everything on your body to look as skinny as possible.
AND THAT INCLUDES YOUR FEET.
Woo!Hoo!
They’ve also got a bit of a wedge.
Which I love.
Click HERE to watch a short video clip on “the classic slim” – an icon re-imagined.
Here are the different styles available in the new slim profile:
WATER-RESISTANT
I originally chose the Kara wedge, but I ordered down 1/2 a size (like I did with my UGG® boots from last year), and they were too small for me.
Sadly, when I contacted UGG® to let them know that I needed a bigger size, they were temporarily out of Kara boots.
So, then I picked the Amie wedge, which are the medium height option, and I’m really glad these are the ones I ended up with!
I have several different tall boots, so I think it’s fun that these are a bit shorter.
Amie wedge c/o UGG® HERE (true to size)
See how they are much slimmer? Love.
And notice the little bit of a wedge!
WELL.
Listen to how my sister made out like a bandit with the size mistake!
I asked UGG® if I could just buy the ones they had already sent me to give to my sister (she is going to Wisconsin to see her hubby’s family this Christmas, and I knew she would be so thankful for these)…and they said I could just keep them.
SHUT! UP!
I just about died!
That’s Conner’s fancy new boots on the left and mine on the right to help you see the difference in height. And Conner’s can fold down as well, which is so cool! Go HERE to see how they look folded down.
So THESE are Conner’s new boots c/o UGG® (and THESE are mine c/o).
As you can see, they look great with both skinny jeans and leggings!
So as you can imagine, Conner was TOTALLY PUMPED.
We took a pic, but left our faces out because I had run over to give them to her last weekend, and make-up had not been applied and hair had not been washed. 🙂
Plus, part of this UGG® campaign is about HUGS, and I thought this was a great #selfiehug.
😉
Love you seester!
(Totally lol’ing at my face in the mirror.)
and you also need the other 2 pieces of my outfit: the tunic and the leggings.
And good news, LOFT extended the 40% OFF to today!
Shop the entire store with the code SHAREIT.
Click HERE for my most recent LOFT post where I highlighted all my current favorites!
lou & grey soft v-neck tunic / lou & grey ponte leggings /
the Amie wedge boot
And you probably want to check THIS cowl neck tunic out (also 40% OFF right now). It’s the same fabric as the tunic I’m wearing, and it’s so cute with the stripes and cowl!
Click HERE for the entire SIGNATURESOFT line!
For size reference, I’m wearing a small in both the tunic and the leggings (so I think they are both true to size). I’m also wearing a 6 1/2 in the boot, which is true to size as well.
If you want to read my full reviews of both the tunic and the leggings, click HERE.
In summary, they are both awesome. 😉
You can get the look for yourself here. That’s the tunic on the left and the leggings in the middle.
And remember, with the code SHAREIT, the tunic and the leggings are 40% OFF the price shown on the the thumbnails below!
Think about it, if you are going to be traveling over Christmas or Thanksgiving, THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD BE WEARING. Period. The end.
I told Carter that part of the UGG® campaign was about hugs, so he hopped in a pic with a #sidehug.
🙂
And then Carter thought we needed to get Scout in on the action as well.
This boy loves his dog and hugs him every chance he gets.
#doggiehug
Now, if you’ve been reading here for awhile, you know I’ve been an UGG® fan since last year.
(I had never owned a pair of UGG® boots, but while at the family ranch house I put on a pair of Chris’s cousin’s boots (shout out Monica!) and bought some the very next week.
They kept my feet SO TOASTY!
I got THESE for myself last fall and had no idea how much I was going to end up wearing them!
They are awesome with jeans, leggings, and pajamas (if we’re being honest). 😉
Here I am in an outfit from both this year and least year in my Cardi UGG® boots.
Worn tall on the left, and folded short on the right. I love wearing them both ways.
So, I love my new slim profile UGG® boots, and I love my cardi UGG® boots from last year…
Here are some others that have caught my eye on the site. To be honest, I had no idea that there were so many DARLING boots to choose from!
And I’m kind of dying over the Kristin’s (the shortest ones in the new slim profile series).
They are even listed as one of Oprah’s favorite things!
#mygoodnessimissoprah
And if you want to see how Rachel Zoe styled all of the new slim profile boots, click HERE.
And I’m going to say it one more time, I totally dig the little wedge.
And don’t forget they have MEN’S and KID’S products and boots as well!
Oh wait, did you know that UGG® makes handbags too?
I’m dying over THIS one.
All right, that’s it for today girls!
See you back here on Wednesday!
A huge THANK YOU to UGG® for sponsoring this post!
xoxo,
Sheaffer 🙂
p.s.
After I had already finished the above post, it was cold enough a couple of mornings last week for me to throw them on, and I took full advantage.
Here’s one day I wore them with an old flannel, puffer, and jeans!
Man, THESE BABIES are going to be in heavy rotation all fall and winter long.

I'm all about the comfy-cozy over here!! Sign me up!! And your face in the mirro picture-hilarious!!
Mix and Match Mama says
So, I want Conner's Uggs. Like yesterday. I mean…I need them, right?!?!
Emily says
Shaeffer…as if Mondays aren't hard enough, now you have thrown my entire "boot purchasing plan" for a loop! I have had the lattice cardy Uggs on my wish list for a while now (along with some Hunter Welles), but now I am loving these Uggs as well… So.. If you had to pick one pair, which would it be? The obvious answer is both of course, but I'm trying to work more towards a "capsule wardrobe" idea and I think one pair of uggs and a pair of wellies would serve me better than two pairs of Uggs ?
Sheaffer says
Hey Emily! Easy answer: get the ones I've highlighted today. They are MUCH more versatile and can handle weather better. I seriously ADORE them and think I'll be wearing them for like the next 10 years. Seriously. You'll love them! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
cookies and cups says
Ok, I need these boots like yesterday! I don't have any shorties so I think that's going to be my splurge!
Kathy Olson says
We love That Thing You Do at our house, too:)
Barbara says
I've been eyeing that tunic! Can you tell me is it wash and tumble dry? Or dry flat?
Deena Faseler says
I LOOOVE that thing you do!!
Shaya says
Dude. I must stop following this blog. I just broke down and got a pair of the classics. Now I want to sell them and get yours! P.S. Thing You Do is one of my favorites too!!!
T. Cashion says
Oh my goodness, I am so confused now. My plan was to go buy some black classic tall Uggs this afternoon after work. I already have the Classic Tall in Chestnut and absolutely love them. Now, I'm thinking I should get either the Kara or Amie instead. I wear a 6.5 or 7 in most shoes, but in the Classic Tall Uggs I wear a 6. Should I order a 6 or 7 in the new slim design?
Sheaffer says
Hi there! I think these new Slim UGGs are totally true to size. I'm either a 6 or a 6 1/2 in all shoes (but more typically a 6 1/2)…and the 6 1/2s were perfect on me. The 6s were VERY difficult for me to get on, so I think you should maybe go with the 7 (since you are sometimes a 7). Like I said, I'm sometimes a 6, and they were super hard to get on. Hope this helps!
Richa Arora says
Hi Sheaffer. Would you know what the calf circumference is on these? I have fat calves 🙁
Sheaffer says
Hi Richa! I just looked it up, and the calf is 14". Hope this helps! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

I bought the Cowl Lou and Gray Tunic several weeks ago….LOVE IT!!!! It's the softest thing EVER!!!
Ashley says
Well, if we are spreading the Ugg love, then you need to know about their loungewear. Yes, Ugg clothing!!! I tried this poncho/cape/sweatshirt thing on a couple weeks ago and I'm downright smitten. It's not fancy but I think it will be a workhorse this winter by making daily appearances in carpool. It's basically socially acceptable pj's and it is on my bday/Christmas list. The inside is so soft and feels like heaven. I'd recommend it for mamas of nursing babies like me for sure. I wish I'd had this in the hospital 7 weeks ago! Also, don't judge it from the website picture. http://m.shop.nordstrom.com/s/ugg-australia-pichot-turtleneck-poncho/3562517?origin=shoppingbag
Alison Steigler Moyle says
I have the Ugg poncho and LOVE it!!! I can dress it up for work and also wear it with comfy clothes. It's AMAZING.
Kristen says
You broke me! I was on a very successful, self imposed spending hiatus the past few weeks because I have spent way, way too much $ following your blog! You had me at super soft with those tunics… and 40% off? Had to!!! Gray and black are coming my way! My bday is next week – I will call it an early gift from myself 🙂
April Parrish says
OH MY!!!! I don't own a pair of Uggs(YET), but my daughter has 2 pairs and has had them for about 4 years and they've held up excellent. I want a pair of my own and now I am so undecided. Love the chestnut, but unsure about new slim style. I wear a size 9….will they look like boats on me???? HELP!!!!
Sheaffer says
Hi April! I don't think they would look like boats at all!!!!!! Give them a try! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
April Parrish says
Thank you!

I scurried to nordies to try these after seeing this post. I've owned tons of UGGs over the years, all heights of the classics and some non classic styles as well. I have to say that the little bit of extra height on the heel and slightly thicker sole in general lead to a more cushioned and slightly more supportive feel. And the more streamlined cut is nice (although I don't like my personal view gazing down at the pointier toes which look a bit grandma-ish from that angle) – BUT, I'm the only person who will view from that angle lol. I got the same color and height as you. I'm an 8 in classics and an 8.5-9 regular shoe. I took a 9 in these.

Can you share the deets on the scarf you are wearing in the pic of you in the Cardi UGGs on the right-hand side? I love it! Hoping it may still be for sale even though you said that outfit was from last year. Thanks!
Sheaffer says
Hi Amy! It was from last year and sold out. So sorry! 🙁 xoxo, Sheaffer
ME me says
Ok seriously my husband is not going to be happy about this…I no longer need to shop bc i just wait for you to post and tell me what I need….and now I NEED these boots ? I have the original tall uggs in chestnut. If I were to go with the new shorter version which color would u say is a must other then the chestnut? (Wouldn't want the same color as my original)
Sheaffer says
Hi! I have a pair of grey booties that I LOVE and wear with everything, so I would probably recommend the grey! You are going to love them!
ME me says
One more thing…do you think the shorter version will look ok with skinny jeans as well?
Sheaffer says
Are you talking about the shortest version? The Kristin? I think they would look fine as long as the jeans were really skinny and tight at the ankle (not baggy at all). I have the mid-rise on with my skinny jeans in the last picture and I love the way those look! Hope this helps! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
MadCity says
I have several pairs of Uggs in various colors and my chestnut talls (my first pair – probably 6 years old) are looking a bit worn so I was happy to order the chestnut in the Kara style – my baby sister's name so it was a HAD-TO! I'll forward this information to friends who have complained about needing more support. I can't wait to receive it and give it a try. I've added the hobo handbag to my Christmas wish list!
Blair says
I bought the Uggs during the Anniversary sale and I love them. One small favor, can you make sure to do another men's Christmas recommendation list? I bought the Bose speaker for my husband and it's been a huge hit all year!
Sheaffer says
Hi Blair! I have a men's gift guide on Friday! Did you see my post (I think it was last Wednesday) recommending Yeti products?!? Those would for sure be a hit! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Leslie Tucker says
Hey Shaeffer!! I have a random question about the scarf posted in the picture with the blardigan. I know you said it was from last year, but I did not know if you might know where it was from. Thank you!!!!!! Love your blog!!!xoxo
Sheaffer says
Hi Leslie! It was BP from Nordstrom! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Narci says
Those uggs are possibly the cutest pair of EVER!! Love their slim silhouette!! 🙂
Laura J says
Hi Shaeffer, I know this post is about Uggs, but saw these Frye boots on Sale at Off Fifth and I NEED to know if I NEED them! 😉 Are you still happy with yours? Did you "treat" them with anything to keep them weather proof? Thanks so much! It's such a big purchase and I think this might be my Christmas gift 🙂

Hi Laura! I still love them, and I never treated them with anything! I think they were totally worth it! Xoxo, Sheaffer
Laura J says
Thanks for the reply! I just ordered them… (Yay!!!!) plus I got two of those fleece cardis you just posted. You're killing me! 😉
Paula says
The slim profile boots are not available in Canada (at least where I live) yet. Come on UGG, these boots are made for our climate! I'm wondering if you have seen the "primer" color in person. I can't tell online what color this is supposed to be. I already own traditional UGG's (short) in dark brown, lattice cardy in black and shorter cardy in grey. I do NEED another pair but having a hard time deciding on a color. Any thoughts?
