Boho Chic

So I’m talking with Nordstrom today about a Boho-chic moment I had.  😉  I saw THIS tunic online, and although it was very different from items that I typically gravitate towards, I really loved the idea of it.  So I ordered it. #bam  To be honest, I wasn’t expecting to like it once I put it on. I thought it might be a little too flowy…a little too boho for me.

Well.  Boy was I wrong.  I do love it.  And not just the idea of it.  I reallllly love it.  It’s perfectly flowy, it’s incredibly flattering, it skims the body in all the right places and it’s very feminine.  The double layer raw edged hem and the smock detailing are both GORGEOUS.

The tunic isn’t cheap, but it’s definitely a special piece.  And I’m willing to pay extra for special.  It’s dry clean only, so don’t bother with it if you aren’t willing to head to the cleaners with it.  This is not a piece that I would risk laundering on my own.

For size reference, I’m wearing a small, which is true to size for me.  It’s very loose and flowy, and it’s long enough for leggings (depending on your height, of course)! TOTAL SCORE!  If you are just planning on wearing it with jeans, you might be able to get away with sizing down 1 size if you don’t want it quite so loose.  Also, I’m not wearing a cami in the picture below, but I will in the future just so I won’t have to worry about if the v-neck is getting too low throughout the day.

So first I paired it with my favorite leggings, and I loved the look!  I’m wearing the navy tunic in this picture with the grey leggings.

I also wanted to show you how cute it is with regular ol’ jeans and flats!  This is a great top.  I mean, just looked at the smocked detailing!

I’m thinking the tunic would also be perfect paired with my favorite grey jeans and my over the knee suede boots (similar HERE that are well stocked and ON SALE!!!).  I’ll do my best to put this look together for Friday’s post!

And my off set striped sweater just hit the sale this morning!  At 40% OFF it’s ONLY $35.40!!!!  And pay attention to my pants in this picture.  I’m wearing 3 different pairs of jeans (distressed, black, and boot cut), and I love them all!  The sweater is very soft, I love how it’s cut (with the v-neck and the rounded bottom hem), and the off set stripes make it interesting!  I have a small in the sweater, so I think it’s true to size.

Another new sale item is THIS turtleneck sweater.  Black is no longer available, but it’s still stocked in a really pretty heathered grey and a creamy white.  I’m wearing a small, so I think it’s true to size..but it is a loose fit. If you want it closer fitting, I suggest sizing down!
