SO simple, but soooooooooooooo cute!
Right?
I don’t know why, but I rarely reach for my black jeans. I’m going to have to change that because they really change the look of an outfit. I of course could have worn this same outfit with regular ol’ blue jeans, but I like how the black denim mixed it up.
I really loved the grey cardi with the black jeans.
It’s pretty much a DUH combination, but I’d never worn it before.
scarf / boyfriend cardigan (50% OFF with code THANKS50) / white tee (50% OFF with code THANKS50)/ similar black Paige jeans (45% OFF!)/ similar flat cognac boots and similar dark brown wedge boots
kendra scott drusy earrings (33% OFF)
AND GREAT NEWS!
With the code PTMTCLASSIC, you can get 20% OFF the scarf!
Get The Look For Yourself Here.
Remember, the tee and cardigan are 50% OFF with the code THANKS50!
Okay, back to the scarf for a second.
I love the colors in the scarf and think it is just plain FESTIVE.
It’s a blanket scarf, so there’s lots of material…but that’s what makes it so cozy!
Remember: PTMTCLASSIC will get you 20% OFF the scarf!
You know I always wear this watch, and it’s getting to be the same for this bracelet!
watch / bracelet
Here are some other black jean options. Pay special attention to the Jag Jeans. If you don’t ever tuck your shirt in, I think these jeans could be awesome. Does anybody have these jeans? If you do, please leave a comment with your thoughts!
Thank you to the sweet and GORGEOUS Bridget for the inspiration!
Now, before you go, I have some shocking news.
Christmas is less that 40 days away.
I know.
Somebody hand me some scotch tape.
Oh wait, I don’t have anything to wrap yet.
Somebody hand me a paper bag to help me regulate my breathing.
Well!
I’m here to help you get started today (or maybe wrap up your shopping). I happen to fall in the first group. Dangit.
ANYHOO.
West Elm reached out to see if I would share some of their gift giving options, so I checked out their site to see if I was interested!
And I was FLOORED at some of their cute and totally well priced items.
Are y’all already West Elm shoppers?
If so, why hadn’t you told me about them? I mean, I’d heard of them, but I’ve never really give them a 2nd thought. Well, that’s going to change.
I think the key chains and the giraffe ring holder would make great stocking stuffers!
Check out my collage below for my favorite picks!
metal tiered stand / yarned dyed throw
tassel key ring / beaded key ring / giraffe /
animal print bowls / / brightly colored printed bowls /
steak knives / st. jude canvas tote
So here’s the deal, after I made the above collage, I continued to find things I wanted to tell y’all about! They have a great selection of items that can be personalized, and I’m a sucker for that…especially for gifts.
Click HERE for all items that can be personalized.
I am getting several of THESE for myself! I love having pics of Carter on our tree! And you can even add a monogram or name for $9. This would make a very special gift for a new mom or a grandparent! I’m actually thinking of ordering like $12 of them and going back and printing off all of Carter’s visits with Santa over the years (and enough extra to have them until he’s 12). How special would that be? I probably won’t pay to have them monogrammed so I can save that money (I’ll just write the date on the back), but I think it’s such a fun idea!
And how cute would THIS monogrammed cutting be for a new bride with her new last name? Or anybody really! I am NOT a new bride (we’re talking 14 years over here!), but I would still love one of these for myself!
And last thing, are you going to any Christmas parties in people’s homes this year?
How nice would it be to arrive with a bottle of wine for the hosts in one of THESE babies!
Thank you to West Elm for sponsoring this part of the post!
If you need a review of my favorites, here they are:
See y’all back here on Friday!
I’ve got lots of goodies to share, but I’ll also be giving you my TOP PICKS for gifts for the men in your life!
xoxo,
Sheaffer

Perfect recreation!! You nailed it. I actually think I need a paper bag myself-less than 40 days?! It's sneaking up on me!
Linsley Schneider says
I want one of those scarves! The blanket ones look so COZY!

Hi Sheaffer! I just wanted to say I have the Jag jean pull on denim SKIRT. Very nice and comfortable to wear with tops you don't want to tuck in. Especially for women with a little bit of a midsection and want some smoothing.
Kim says
I actually do own a pair of the Jag Jeans and I LOVE them!! There are some days, when these are the kind of waistband my body needs!! Especially perfect for travel (and the upcoming holidays, when we eat way more than normal).

Hi! I love your blog and own most of the stuff you post, ha! The ugg slim profile boots were calling to me but I'm curious if you've seen the TOMS Nepal boots with the fur around the ankle? Curious if you think they would hold up well in the snow like the Uggs would? I live in Chicago so the snow is coming very soon!!! Thanks:)
Sheaffer says
Hi Bianca! I'm not totally sure, but I don't think TOMS will offer near the protection like the UGGs would. When you are going for function (also cute of course), I think UGGs are the way to go! Hope this helps! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

The Toms are not nearly as good, cute but the faux shearling lining does not keep your feet even half as warm.

Ok, thank you for your response! You're the best, uggs for the win!!!

I have the JAG jeans and really like them. Very comfortable and an added bonus is I am always asked if I have lost weight when wearing them. I don't like to tuck in and they are great for me. Run true to size for me.

I love West Elm but they have seriously terrible customer service. This is just a warning to any new shoppers. The problems are usually with larger items like furniture, but I've had problems with lamps and had problems with stock in store (I shop at the Highland Village location in Houston). They are so slow in the store and half the time they don't have what I go in looking for. I have a love/hate relationship! They do have really great products, and affordable gifts for sure. We love all their throws, and I'm definitely ordering the custom wine bag, I hadn't seen those yet!
Buddy's Mom says
The Jag jeans are great, but do take getting used to. My reaction when I saw them in the store was, 'I didn't know Nordy's had a maternity dept'. My tummy has never been a problem (my issues are hiney-related). I got them because I H-A-T-E belt bulges under a cute sweater or close fitting tee. With these jeans, you can wear any longer top without worrying about a big J.R. Ewing belt buckle sized lump ruining your outfit!
Becky@Beyond The Picket Fence says
I love the blanket scarves in theory, but can' help and think we are going to look back and say, "Ya, I wrapped a blanket (that kind of looked like a tablecloth) around my neck and walked around in public like a two year old with their favorite blankie!" Ha-ha!
Annalyn says
Darling outfit – just curious if this is your blanket scarf you cut in half? I purchased it last year from AC and still haven't worn cause I'm nervous to cut…but can not get it to look good as is!!
Sarah Kuykendall says
Are the Jag jeans boot cut?
Sheaffer says
Hi Sarah! The look like it to me! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Mary Deckert says
I never think about my black jeans either. I think I go to reach for them and then think: why not wear my leggings and be comfy? lol I bought a pair of black Loft straight jeans last spring and have yet to put them on! And I love them, they are better on me that skinny jeans. I just never think about them.

Needing help with my blanket scarf as well….it is just SO MUCH material! How are you folding/wrapping it?
Sheaffer says
Hi there! Copy and past this site for a tutorial on one way to tie it!: http://pinteresttoldmeto.blogspot.com/2014/11/how-to-tie-blanket-scarf.html
primitive gatherings says
Can you tell me the lipstick you are wearing above?
Sheaffer says
Hi there! I only have 1 color lipstick. I wear it everyday and just change up the blosses I'm wearing with it. I'm not sure which gloss I'm wearing here, but I know the lipstick is Lancome (from Nordstrom) and it's called "fashion icon". xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

I love this outfit! I am going to copy the whole thing for Thanksgiving!! Thanks! Susan
