Today’s post is sponsored by Walmart. The product selections are my own, and I only highlight and promote pieces that I truly love. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Sheaffer Told Me To!
Today’s post is a good one y’all! I’m absolutely thrilled to share some of the pieces I’ve found, and I know y’all are going to be as well. And don’t forget, Walmart now has FREE 2 DAY SHIPPING on lots of qualifying items!
Truth be told, I have SO MUCH FUN creating the content for these posts. Sure, there’s quite a bit of prep work involved because I scour the site and place huge orders to ensure that I’m going to find pieces that I know we will both love. But when the order arrives, I am always pleasantly surprised! I’m able to quickly go through an order, pick out the pieces that are up to our standards, and then I have a blast putting outfits together!
Today I’m showing you two favorites that quickly emerged from my recent order:
a fantastic long ribbed cardigan and a really cool moto jacket!
FIND #1: A LONG-RIBBED CARDIGAN
For Outfit #1, besides the tee (which is my favorite tee ever), I’m featuring pieces that I’ve never shown before. And I think the entire outfit is just smart.
I built the outfit around this cardigan.
long ribbed cardigan / tee / lucky brand earrings / necklace / similar bracelet / cognac bag / similar cropped jeans / neutral wedge booties (wedge booties in black) (similar lined wedge booties)
I’ve loved cardigans my entire life.
And just so we’re clear, I haven’t just kinda loved cardigans…. I’ve really loved cardigans.
I believe I’ve shared this before, but in high school and college I was the queen of the cardigan sweater set. Which I know is totally cool. Haha!
I had MANY.
I’m actually too embarrassed to say how many. #butitrhymeswithdirty
And I might have even tied the cardi over my shoulders on occasion. #pleasedontjudge #iwaslivingtheHaroldslife
long ribbed cardigan / tee / lucky brand earrings / necklace / similar bracelet / cognac bag / similar cropped jeans
I still think that cardigans are often the perfect way to add a light layer and a little extra style to an outfit.
However, instead of matching sets, I now prefer to pair cardigans with tees. #ihavevolved #yourewelcome
I showed y’all a more classic short cardi last month (UNDER $13!). But today’s cardigan is very different. It’s a slim cut, it has a ribbed texture, it’s long, and it has a belt!
This one is a fantastic deal at just UNDER $17, and it comes in several colors.
And y’all, there’s something important that I want you to understand. This isn’t a cardigan I like just because it’s $17…it’s a cardigan I love that happens to be just $17.

long ribbed cardigan / tee / lucky brand earrings / necklace / similar bracelet / cognac bag / similar cropped jeans
Do you remember the snakeskin bag that I showed you earlier this month? This is the same bag, but in cognac. It’s a great size, it can be worn over your shoulder or cross body, and it comes in 4 other colors. I love the stud accents and the little fringe tassel.
The booties are awesome (true to size and very comfy!), but I’m disappointed because it looks like most sizes are already sold out in the color I’m featuring today. Luckily, they also come in black and a “fur lined” brown pair that’s just UNDER $20! And they are DARLING. They look much more expensive than they are.

I love all the pieces individually, and I love how they came together for this outfit.

FIND #2: A MOTO JACKET
My 2nd find is a really good one, y’all.
This moto jacket rocks. I’m so sad because most sizes sold out over the weekend in the black, but the brown is still available.
moto jacket / tee / lucky brand earrings / necklace / similar bracelet/ bag / similar cropped jeans / studded mules
This jacket is 95% cotton and 5% spandex, and it’s AWESOME.
I love the shape, I love the fit, and the hardware is a cool brushed brass. It’s nice and stretchy and just looks great on! The sleeves are a bit long, so I do have to roll the sleeves up 1 cuff length.
I. LOVE. THIS. JACKET.
And while it’s casual enough to look great with jeans and a tee, it would also look great styled with a Fall dress.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
moto jacket / tee / lucky brand earrings / necklace / similar bracelet/ bag / similar cropped jeans / studded mules
I mean, it’s a really cool jacket. AND GET THIS. It’ just under $25.
moto jacket / tee / lucky brand earrings / necklace / similar bracelet/ bag / similar cropped jeans / studded mules
These stylish studded mules continue to blow me away. I’ve had them for a couple of months now, and I find myself reaching for them all the time. They are comfy, true to size, and totally fashionable.
I’m so glad I bought them!
moto jacket / tee / lucky brand earrings / necklace / similar bracelet/ bag / similar cropped jeans / studded mules
But the real star of this outfit is the jacket.
I can’t get over it, and I’m even considering grabbing it in brown too. For under $25, it seems like I should.

Before you go, let’s take a walk down Walmart memory lane. Because it’s good stuff, y’all.
Over the last several months when preparing for posts, ordering outfits, and taking pictures of outfits I’ve definitely found some favorites. And they are items that I’ve been wearing in my day to day life quite a bit.
Like this $14 cardigan and these $10 camo sneakers. You can also click HERE for a super cute leopard version!
white tee / oatmeal cardigan / raw hem cropped girlfriend jeans / camo sneakers/ bracelets
Click HERE for my snakeskin on a budget post. I had so much fun with the affordable snakeskin pieces, and I legit LOVE the black and pink sweaters!
The post below had lots of great basics and several items that I’m consistently wearing as well, including the mules I’m featuring again in today’s post. Click HERE if you missed it.
white tee / cardigan/ boyfriend jeans /small black cross body bag / studded mules
WRAP UP and COMMENT PROMPT
That’s it for today, ladies! Are you as impressed as I am with these pieces? Have you found any Walmart gems over the last several months?!? Leave a comment telling me what your favorite find was today! Or maybe tell me what your favorite Walmart find has been over the last several months. I would love to know what you’ve purchased as a result of these posts!!! In fact, I’ll even host a little giveaway! A reader will be chosen from the comments and will receive a prize (that’s yet to be determined) from me.
And just fyi, here are a couple of items that are on my radar for future posts: this puffer (the pink, black, and spiced cider are my favorites) and this leopard lined raincoat (LOVE it in the black and the spiced cider).
And I am dying over this fair isle sweater that just hit the site. I’m imaging this baby is going to fly off the shelves, especially the white background with the pink, turquoise, and yellow design. It’s adorable.
A huge thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post.

I bought the camo sneakers, but in the leopard print & they are my FAV shoes to wear!!! They are so comfy (was not expecting that) AND cute, of course. Thank you for all your hard work!!!!!
Sheaffer says
So good, right? So happy you love them too, Julie!!! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Caroline says
I had never shopped for clothes at Walmart until you started posting about the retailer. I now have the camo sneakers, the studded mules, the boyfriend jeans, the basic cardigan, and the big chunky sweater from your snakeskin post. I actually love it all. And you are 100% right about how amazing the tees are. I wish they would restock and I would buy one in every single color! Walmart? Who knew! Certainly not me.
Sheaffer says
YES, CAROLINE! And listen, I’d never shopped for clothes before either, but I’m now a believer! There are some real gems!!! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Kelly McClure says
The cardigan is on sale for $14 now! ?
Sheaffer says
WOW! What an amazing deal!!! Thanks for the tip, Caroline! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Lisa Meyers says
Great post, but I wish the moto jacket wasn’t basically sold out.
Sheaffer says
Hey, Lisa! I know, I’m so sorry! 🙁 When I picked this jacket to feature, it was in stock. My guess is that other bloggers talked about it in between me picking it and my post actually going live, which probably explains the sell out. I know it’s frustrating, but please know that when I initially pick items I do make sure they are in stock. Sometimes that changes in between me picking the item and the post actually going live. If this one gets restocked, I’ll be sure to let everybody know! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Leah Crouse says
The Time and Tru pointelle cardigan is sooo soft. I love it! The light pink melange is my favorite. 🙂
Shay Shull says
Okay, I loved every outfit but those booties are my favorite!!
Eileen P says
I bought the oatmeal open front cardigan. I love it and wear it all the time. So many ladies I work with have asked where I got it! 😉
Erika Slaughter says
The booties look very similar to that Lucky pair that comes in lots of colors.
Sheaffer says
TOTALLY!!!!! And they are such an incredible price!
Cassie says
I love the long cardigan! And the jacket paired with the mules is spot on, but I actually have a question from your Amazon post from Friday. Sorry busy weekend.
On Amazon the “apricot” look like a tan color, but on your blog they look more light. What color would you describe them?
Thanks in advance for your time.
Sheaffer says
Hi, Cassie! Describing colors is always hard for me, but I think they are a taupe with a hint of blush? Definitely not tan….but a really good neutral. Hope this helps! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Michele says
I have purchased several Time and Tru brand sweaters from Wal Mart after you mentioned the brand in some of your posts. They have quite a selection of sweaters that are just too good to pass up at the price. I also purchased the bag you are showing with the moto jacket. Mine is gray. Please keep these posts coming.
Betsy Husen says
I found your favorite v neck tee from Walmart on clearance FOR A DOLLAR! I stocked up in every color 🙂
Sheaffer says
WHAT????????????? That’s unbelievable!!!! Wow!!!
Amy Coose says
Walmart has really stepped up their game! I love al the pieces, but the booties and Moto jacket are awesome.
Missy McClure says
I bought this sweater, Time and Tru Women’s Supersoft Pullover Sweater. It is so soft and yummy!!!
Crystal says
I need that moto jacket in my life…STAT! I so hope it is restocked!
LOVE these posts!!
MindaC says
I love cardigans too! I bought a similar one from Costco last year and I wear it around the house in place of a robe. I am always cold and I feel like the cardigan is a little less frumpy looking than sitting around in my robe. It’s also less bulky to work around the house. Sometimes in the evenings my 6 year old son says “Mommy, it’s time to put on your sweater!” I will to check this one out! I’m intrigued by the belt 🙂
Frances Ryals says
I bought the snakeskin boots from your previous post. They are SO comfy and under $20!
I also bought the anorak jacket in spice and with a leopard trim you mentioned for a future post. It is wonderful and I get tons of compliments!
Emily Cook says
I love their basic white t shirt (per your recommendations) and I bought the brown version of the moto jacket about a month ago and I am sooooo obsessed! It is the comfiest thing ever and so cute! I was too late in the game for the leopard scrunch back sneakers, but bought a pair this summer in another print that I lived in. Love these posts!! Thank you!!
Cherie Bush says
Cardigans are the best! Thanks for sharing all the fun new options.
Brittany friar says
I’m going to check out Walmart this weekend to get the long sweater!
Also——I DEF wore a cardi around my shoulders on manyyyy occasions in high school. And yet. Somehow. I was voted best dressed. Hahaha
Katie says
OMG- love your comment about Harold’s!!! What a flashback! I LOVED Harold’s, too! Sometimes I’m still sad that they’re gone…. I could usually go in there and find MANY items that I just had to have! I always enjoy your posts, and humor! 🙂
Mel H says
I’ve been shopping Wal-Mart more and more. I currently am wearing some fabulous camo Time and Tru jeans in an awesome green that fit great and were under $20. I wear my Time and Tru Leopard Boots on repeat, and I have an Avia purple cowl neck sweatshirt in a gorgeous purple that is a winter staple for me.
Kathleen says
Love the cardigan! What about sizing?
Sheaffer says
Hi, Kathleen! So sorry I left that out. I’m wearing a small. xoxo
Bridgett says
I loved the snakeskin post, especially that hot pink sweater!!!!!! You have found such gems, I’m thankful I can just come to your page and you tell me what I need 😉
Addison says
My favorite Walmart find you’ve posted about is that bright pink sweater from the Snakeskin on a Budget post! Just darling. You make everything look adorable!
Katie says
I am with you – totally a fan of the cardi. And I, too, was a sweater set regular in college and my early teaching days. In fact, when we fill out those all about you staff forms at the start of the school year and they ask “What do you collect?” I own it and answer that i collect cardis. 🙂 Thanks for featuring so many great ones so that I can keep my collection going strong.
Jantzen says
That leopard-lined raincoat gets all the heart eyes from me! Walmart is the best! A couple of weeks ago, I went to purchase the hot pink sweater from your snakeskin post but ended up with the black jeans from that post and a cream, mustard and black striped balloon-sleeve sweater instead (matches the colors of the university I work at). I’m 5’2″ and pretty much have to cuff all pants that don’t come in a short or petite size, but those black jeans hit right at my ankle! Thanks for keeping us on trend and on a budget!
Kerry says
It’s all sooo cute! Thank you for sharing this, along with your Amazon finds. I always know that what you select is actually good. Hopefully the Moto jacket is restocked because I would love to try that. Thanks so much!!
Nikki says
I wear my Walmart camo sneakers all the time! SO comfy and cute! I’m also a recent Walmart convert based on your influence. 🙂 Used to always give Walmart clothes a side eye, but now I look a bit closer! Loving that leopard rain jacket you linked… just might have to snatch that! Thanks for your posts!
Trisha says
I just bought the Time and True Cowl neck sweater and I love it! I’m 5’2″ and the length covers the booty when worn with leggings but I think it will also pair great with jeans and booties! I love the moto jacket and booties from this post! I love a good deal and Walmart has been my go to lately!
Dana M says
I purchased the camp sneakers you mentioned today as well as featured a few weeks ago. I love them so much that I am actually wearing them right now as I read today’s post!!
I also found this super cute fall colored plaid shirt when I was in the store buying the shoes. I have paired the shirt with black slacks and black cardigan for work as well as with white jeans and light brown sandals for casual days. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Women-s-Ruffle-Sleeve-Tank-Top/453049793
I love your Wal-Mart posts, I am all about looking cute for less!
Allison S says
Loving my Camo sneakers and getting SOOOOOO many compliments!
Keesha says
Love the items in today’s post! I bought a Time and Tru hooded sweatshirt the other day that is so incredibly soft! I bought it 2 sizes up so it is oversized and it is the first thing I put on when I’m home and want to be cozy!
Shannon says
Those Time and Tru open front cardis are awesome! Really nice fine gauge knit that I’ve paid a lot more for in the past. Just ordered 3 more colors!

I have this top in the blue and love it! MUCH cuter in person…
Stacey P. says
I have the black and pink studded mules. Love them, wish they had more colors.
Robin OSBORNE says
I’ve purchased 2 different styles of knit type sneakers from Walmart. One pair is a blush color and so comfortable! Most recently I got a green pair that is styled slightly different from the pink one (a bit more structured). I haven’t worn them yet, but they were comfy when trying them on. I also purchased a pair of camo slip on sneaks this summer. I really like them because the camo print is very subtle. Best part was.. all of these shoes were under $20 each. Now I am on hunt for both beige and maroon colored sneakers…I just MIGHT have a shoe addiction, (Ok, it isn’t just “might”, my shoe collection is in the three digit category.)
Annette says
I was just in Wal-Mart today and when I walked by the ladies department, I noticed right away some items that you featured. I enjoy your blog!!
Marsha says
You need to check out the Time and Tru midsize tote. It’s only $14.97 and is absolutely beautiful! I ordered all the colors and decided to keep the olive and black. I just got them last week. Love your posts…you are great!

I also love that Moto jacket, and I am so so sad it is out of stock! 🙁 Please let us know if you find out that it comes back in stock. I also love those wedge booties, I tried on the last pair in the store, but they had a little mark so I thought I would just order them online. Unfortunately they were out of stock when I looked! They were so comfortable though!
jada says
Love that ribbed cardigan!
https://thegirlfromconnecticut.com
Nicole says
Well, the pics from you for the ribbed cardigan are WAY better than what’s on the site! I wouldn’t have even bothered to check it out with their photos. And that t-shirt… yes!
Emily says
I really hope both the moto and the rain jacket get restocked! So cute
Emily says
I hope that moto jacket comes back!
Maryanne says
I have SO many of those t-shirts that it’s not funny! They are the perfect length to front tuck, tie, or just let hang! <3 Walmart is killing it!
