A White Tee, A Black Cardigan, and Boyfriend Jeans| 2 WAYS

Today’s post is a good one y’all!  I’m totally over the moon about some of the basics I found, and I know y’all are going to be as well.

Truth be told, I have SO MUCH FUN doing these posts.  Sure, there’s quite a bit of prep work involved because I scour the site and place huge orders to ensure that I’m going to find pieces that I know we will both love.  But when the order arrives, I am always pleasantly surprised!  I’m able to quickly go through an order, pick out the pieces that are up to our standards, and then I have a blast putting outfits together!

After going through my most recent order, a handful of favorites quickly emerged.  I knew immediately I was going to build an outfit with 3 great basics, and then I was going to style the outfit two different ways.  And a post was born!

LOOK #1:  GREAT BASICS WITH CAMO SNEAKERS AND A BACKPACK

Ladies, you are looking at a casual version of my Fall uniform.  It’s cute, right?

A great tee, a great cardi, and a great pair of jeans is the base outfit on which you can build so many different looks!  For this first look, I went super casual.

Let’s start with the basics.

This tee has been a favorite of mine for several months now, so I’m hoping most of you already have it since it’s just about sold out now.  It’s truly the best white tee I’ve ever owned, and I now own it in 5 colors.  It’s thicker, well made, and the fit is great.  I’m wearing a medium.

This cardi was my biggest surprise in this order.  The quality is incredible.  It’s a classic design, very soft, and can easily be dressed up or down.  It looks great with boyfriend jeans here, but it’s definitely nice enough for office wear.  AND LADIES.  It’s just UNDER $12.  It comes in 5 colors including grey, navy, oatmeal, and white.  I’m wearing a small.

Okay, y’all.  These boyfriend jeans have the look and fit of a designer pair of jeans, but they are UNDER $28.

They are soft, have a reasonable amount of stretch, and are totally on trend with the slouchy fit and the distressing.   For this look, I wore them full length and just turned up the hem.  You’ll see them with a larger cuff in the next outfit for a totally different look.

I kept the jewelry to a minimum, but I added personality to this simple outfit with some camo sneakers and a basic black backpack with some subtle camo accents.

The backpack is super functional and a great little bag to have for when you need to be hands free!  The main compartment is surprisingly roomy, and the front pocket provides a space to place items that you need quick access to.  You can cinch the main compartment tight, and there’s the fold-over top with a snap to ensure that everything stays where it needs to.  One of my friends (shout out, Keely!) often carries a cute little backpack instead of a purse, so she inspired me to try this.

And listen.

I’m TOTALLY OBSESSED with the sneakers.  They are super comfy, they are DARLING, the camo is perfection, and they are UNDER $10.  How is that even possible?  They also come in a mustard corduroy!  STOP IT!  Mustard corduroy for Fall?  YES, M’AM!

I’m normally a 6 1/2, sometimes a 6, and the 6s are perfect on me (they don’t come in 1/2 sizes).

Oh, and I just saw that they also come in leopard (and grey, navy, and red) on a different link.

GIRLS.  This is a cute shoe.

Tell me this isn’t a perfect outfit for running around town.  And the whole thing is totally comfy, so I’ll be fine in it at home too.

LOOK #2:  GREAT BASICS WITH STUDDED MULES AND A CROSS BODY

For the second look, I took the same tee, cardi, and boyfriend jeans and dressed them up just a tiny bit.

I traded out the camo sneakers for studded mules, and I turned in the camo backpack for a chic little cross body bag.

I’m wearing the same tee and cardi.

The jeans are the same too, I just gave them a chunky cuff for a different look!

The bag surprised me in the best way.  I love the cute little shape, the strap is adjustable, and the gold hardware and zippers add such a nice touch.

And OMG at these stylish studded mules!  These babies blew me away.  They are comfy, super fashionable, and the studs are understated (but still make a statement).

I’m so glad I bought these!

It took me a bit to hop on the mule train, but now I’m on it!  These come in a great blush too and they are true to size.

They are the perfect shoe to transition all of us to early Fall.

I feel totally and completely stylish and sophisticated in this outfit!  And get this…if you add up the tee, the cardi, the jeans, the bag, and the shoes…the outfit is UNDER $75!!!  WOW.
