Today’s post is sponsored by Walmart and ShopStyle. The product selections are my own, and I only highlight and promote pieces that I truly love. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Sheaffer Told Me To!
I have had such a wonderful time working with Walmart on their We Dress America Summer series, and I’m actually sad that there’s only 1 more post after today to wrap it up. Finding so many treasures at Walmart over the last couple of months has been great fun. And it just tickles me to death that so many of you have trusted me, purchased items for yourself, and then joined me in being wildly impressed.
Let’s take a walk down memory lane, shall we? In June, I highlighted super casual outfits from our beloved family ranch! In Part 1, I highlighted a couple of side tie shirts and some white denim shorts. In Part 2, I highlighted striped tees and a pair of frayed hem denim shorts. And just this past Monday I switched gears a bit and highlighted a great eyelet dress and some darling wedges!
Wasn’t the dress super cute? Lately, dresses have become my jam.
Y’all know that I’m normally a jeans and denim shorts kinda gal, and you’ll most often find me dressed pretty casually. However, I’ve picked up a couple of dresses and skirts this summer that I’ve absolutely loved. Because of that, I’ve been showing more dresses and skirts on the blog, and all of you have responded very favorably!
It seems that we all think that dresses are easier in the summer. They certainly keep us cooler, and we all love the whole “throw it on and go” aspect of a dress.
For all of these reasons, I’m very excited to show you two more dresses today!
DRESS #1
This sweet little dress caught my eye online, and I think it’s adorable.

The fabric is lightweight and the skirt is double layered, so it’s not see thru (and there’s no need for a slip). The cinched elastic waist is flattering and comfortable, and the elasticized shoulders aren’t too tight, but they still stay put. I’m wearing a medium in the dress.
The fabric is very sweet, I love the button detail, and notice the tiny little pleated ruffle across the shoulder line. So pretty and feminine!
And you are truly not going to believe the price. Right now it’s $14.95.
You’ve seen the straw bag in previous posts, and I love that it can be worn cross body.

But it can also be carried by the handle, more like a clutch.
The wedges look much more expensive than they actually are, and they are seriously comfortable. I think it’s so smart that tops are black, but the actual wedge is the neutral rope (with the amazing chevron detail!). I think an all-black shoe can definitely look clunky, but these don’t at all! They are true to size and an amazing deal at $33.25 (reg. $70).

I mean, I think it’s darling. And it’s mind blowing to me that it’s just under $15.

DRESS #2
This next dress is right up my alley. Y’all know that one of my absolutely favorite outfit combinations is a maxi dress with a denim jacket, so I feel great in this combo.
THE DRESS IS SO ME, right? The fabric is lightweight and comfy, the stripe pattern is adorable, and I love the colors and the little ruffle on the skirt.
And right now it’s on sale for only $26.40 (reg. $44)!

The smocked bodice elevates it to a whole new level of cuteness. In addition to the smocking, there are adjustable spaghetti straps, and I really like the square neck. (Details on bracelets in a future post!)
I had so much fun styling the outfit with vibrant accessories. These beaded hoop earrings come in several colors, but I went for the bright turquoise.
I absolutely loved the entire look!
It was a bit of a bold move, but I doubled down with the stripes when choosing my bag and thought it was great fun!
Perhaps you remember the wedges from Monday’s post?
They just might be the cutest wedges I ever did see.
A colorful wedge, a brushed gold toe strap, and polka dot ties that wrap around your ankles and get tied in a little bow. YES, from Walmart. #weseeyouWalmart
I love this dress.

Those wedges and that maxi dress? Too, too, too CUTE!
Erika Slaughter says
Love that second dress on you!!
Lydia says
Can the first dress be worn on the shoulder? Can any of the off the shoulder tops and dresses you feature be worn on the shoulder? And please show sleeveless tops and dresses without a jacket or kimono! It’s so really know how something like that fits when it’s covered up!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Lydia! If a dress or top can be worn on the shoulder, I definitely try to make sure I mention that. I tried it with this dress, and it didn’t work. So sorry! I definitely understand the need to see the item without the jacket, but I show things on the blog how I personally wear them, and I wouldn’t wear this dress without a jacket. Smocked items are too much on my large chest worn alone, but if layered with a jacket, I actually think they are flattering! If you click the link, the dress is shown without a jacket. Hope this helps! xoxo
Karen says
What size did you get in the maxi? It’s super cute!
Sheaffer says
Can’t believe I left that out, Karen! I’m wearing a small! xoxo
Vanessa says
Love that maxi dress.! Can I ask what size you ordered and how tall are you?
Sheaffer says
Oh, sorry! I’m in a small and I’m almost 5’4″!
Narci says
How darling are both of these dresses! So cute. I want that second one for myself!
Karen says
Where did you purchase the two colorful bracelets? So pretty!
Sheaffer says
Hey, Karen! Aren’t they darling!!! I actually have several more, but they aren’t available yet to purchase. They will be though later this month, and I’ll be doing a special deal, so stay tuned!!!! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Karen Ward says
I adore that striped maxi!!! If I hadn’t bought so many dresses this summer, I’d scoop it up in a heartbeat!
Nadine says
If you really do like Walmart for clothes, you can still continue to show us and post about Walmart clothes even after the campaign/sponsorship is over, correct?
Sheaffer says
Totally, Nadine! And I do! In non-Walmart sponsored posts, I’ve continued to show the gold and cognac sandals, the navy striped sweater from one of my first posts, the Birkenstock dupes, the white denim shorts, the frayed hem light wash denim shorts, a pair of wedges, and a couple of straw bags! I’ve shown all of these things several times in posts that were non-sponsored because I truly love them and am wearing them in my real life. xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Sheaffer says
Oh! And their v neck tees are awesome and have appeared in several posts! 🙂
