Happy Wednesday! It’s time for everybody to join up today with Shay and me and let us know WHAT’S UP this fine Wednesday!
Let’s get right to it!
WHAT WE ARE EATING
I have nothing exciting to share. For dinners, we’re eating the same things we always eat.
Steak, grilled chicken, tacos, shrimp, salmon, pork tenderloin, repeat.
Wait, we did go rogue one day and I made some healthy chicken flautas I’ve blogged about before, but I hadn’t made in awhile. We all loved them, I’m so glad I remembered them! They might make the bi-weekly rotation now. They certainly are easy. Click HERE for the post with the recipe.
WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT
LADIES! THIS FABULOUS SWEATER IS BACK IN STOCK!!!
I love the large alternating pink and orange rugby stripes. It’s a classic crew neck, has a perfectly relaxed fit, and is soooo soft. It runs large, so I would suggest sizing down. I’m in a small. It also comes in plus size HERE.
AND GET THIS! IT’S ONLY $39! Because of the colors, it’s a really great sweater that will help you roll right into spring. Think how darling it will be with white jeans!
And for those of you that prefer the mirror selfies….here you go…
WHAT I’M LOVING
At the end of the post, I asked for people to leave comments about their favorite Colleen products, AND YOU GUYS SHOWED UP IN THE COMMENTS SECTION. I love that y’all love the products just as much as I do! I told my contacts at Colleen Rothschild that I wanted to share some of y’alls comments on today’s post, so they gave me a new code to share with y’all!
You can now use the code STMT25 to get 25% OFF your entire order until the end of the week!
Sixty-eight of you ladies left comments on the post, and I loved reading through them. Everybody has personal favorites for different reasons, and I loved hearing how loyal all of you are to the products! I wanted to share just some of the comments for y’all to read thru because sometimes I think it helps (especially with skincare) to see what others think as well…
The cleansing balm is LEGIT. I’m on my 3rd big tub in 4 years…it lasts forever! I am going to try the face oil and the overnight cream during this sale. Thanks for introducing me to this line of products…I’m a lifer:) – Jenn
I love so many of the products, and they really do work synergistically. But I’ve seen the biggest change from the Detox Face Mask! When I use it every other day, it keeps me from breaking out! – Kristin
The glycolic acid peel pads are my favorite followed by the cleansing balm. The retinol supreme night oil is also a must for my older, dry skin. Thank you for introducing me to CR products! – Janet
The cleansing balm is definitely my #1, and the jumbo size seems to be the best value for sure. Other faves are the micro peels pads, extreme recovery cream and the retinol eye serum. Thanks for getting me started on CR. I can definitely see a difference over time. – Lorie
After hearing you talk about and show her products a couple years ago, I started using some of them, starting of course with the radiant cleansing balm! Loved that from the start and still using today. Also tried the discovery kit, which introduced me to more things I love and use all the time. Favorites if I have to pick, besides the balm, include the sheer renewal cream (love!), and oh yes, the eye cream! So good. I really like everything I’ve tried. Wish budget would allow trying so many more. Next things I do want to eventually try are the micro-mineral scrub and the glycolic peel pads. You’ve got me pretty convinced I need to try them! – Julie
I too am a fan of the Cleansing Balm! I never dreamed that this girl, with very oily skin, would willingly add more oil to clean my face with! But I do, and I really love it. I have recently tried the retinol eye cream, and I really like it, too. It feels like it is still working, even when I get up in the morning! – Melissa
Your blog is what introduced me to CR products! The peel pads and the eye cream are my must-haves. Her eye cream is the first one I tried that didn’t leave my undereye feeling greasy. I’ve used so many prestige-brand creams and hers is the first one I’ve repeatedly purchased. Thank you for sharing about her brand and her products. I’ve been following her cancer journey on Instagram and she seems so genuine, kind and strong. – Alison
I use CR products and I agree—the Balm is the bomb. I won’t ever not use it! I used to dread, like majorly procrastinate washing my face at night because I first had to take off make up, then cleanse my face, then tone, etc… CR Balm takes it off, one and done, AND my face feels amazingly clean without being tight! I use a ton of her other products too, but the Balm is my holy grail! – Dawn
Going to try a couple new things from your suggestions. I have super sensitive skin that reacts to most products. These products have been wonderful, I never had an issue, only positive things plus I have rosacea and it helps with the redness! I LOVE face oil#9 (a game changer) and extreme recovery cream! I live in a tropical, humid climate with A/C all the time and I still need these products. If I have extreme dry hands I add a few drops face oil to my hands at night and presto it heals and softens instantly and lasts for a long time, that is my secret tip! – Carly
I bought the scrub 2 years ago after reading about it. I then bought the discovery kit and have since gotten the full-size charcoal mask, the scrub, and just bought the face pads after reading about them here. I love all of the products I have gotten and am so glad I purchased them. I think they have made my face feel so smooth and brighter looking. I forgot I also have the extreme recovery cream so I guess you could say you have turned me into a loyal user! – Katie
I absolutely LOVE the cleansing balm…. I use a TINY amount on my Foreo silicone facial cleansing device and it takes off ALL my makeup on the first pass! I can’t imagine going to bed now without washing my face… and my skin has never felt or looked better. Love Colleen Rothschild products! – Alison
Cleansing balm, of course! I look forward to cleaning my face every night with that magical product. And the face oil… a MUST HAVE in the winter. And the extreme recovery cream… every day before makeup. All of her products are fantastic! – Marci
I’ve been using her products for about a year now and my skin has definitely transformed for the better! My skin used to be oily and prone to acne. Since starting with the cleansing balm, vitamin C cream, sheer renewal cream and extreme recovery cream. I’ll be adding the intense hydration mask and micro mineral resurfacing. – Jennifer
I started with the Discovery Collection and now I use the cleansing balm, hydrating mask, sheer renewal cream, extreme recovery cream, dual enzyme polish, mandelic acid serum, and the eye serum. My favorite is the cleansing balm. I have gifted some of Colleens’ products to two of my sisters. – Eileen
I mean, listening to everybody absolutely RAVE about these products is SO MUCH FUN!!!!
And remember, they were nice enough to give us a code that’s currently active. Use the code STMT25 right now for 25% OFF.
Also, I didn’t mention the Discovery Kit on Monday’s post, but I wanted to mention it today since it’s 25% OFF now too (which makes it ONLY $71.25 – regularly price $95)! As you can see from several comments above, it’s a fantastic way to get introduced to a handful of their products so you can use them for a bit and see what you can’t live without. Because I’m telling you, there are things you won’t be able to live without.
This 7 Piece Discovery Kit includes the following (+ the carrying case):
- Radiant Cleansing Balm – You put it on your dry face (with dry hands), rub it all over, and it melts all your make up (including your eye makeup) right off. I don’t even dread washing my face! When my skin is especially dry, I will rub just a little bit on in the morning to get it nice and hydrated. I’ll leave it on for about 10 minutes and then either wipe it or wash it off….or sometimes I even just let it soak in! It’s very gentle on my extremely sensitive skin, and I simply cannot live without it.
- Dual Enzyme Polish – This product is great for gently exfoliating your face. It sloughs off dead skin cells and will leave your face so soft and bright!
- Clarifying Detox Mask – I use this mask all over my face every couple of weeks for a deep clean, but I also love using it as a spot treatment if I see a blemish trying to pop up. It works wonders as a spot treatment!
- Sheer Renewal Cream – The cleansing balm is my holy grail product, but so many others claim that this sheer renewal cream is their tip top favorite. It provides weightless hydration. It’s not heavy at all and still allows your skin to breathe.
- Extreme Recovery Cream – Do you need some extreme moisture? This thick and creamy product is for you, and it absorbs very well and isn’t greasy! Use it at night and wake up with plump and hydrated skin.
- Face Oil N°9 – The face oil used to be too much for my skin, but I tried it again last year, and now I LOVE IT. I use it every single night and can’t imagine it not being a part of my routine. It moisturizes, plumps, and just makes it look dewy and fresh.
- Muslin Cleansing Cloth – Made with 100% cotton, it provides a gentle way to exfoliate and enhance the overall cleansing experience.
So, the kit is obviously awesome! Don’t miss this incredible deal!
As a reminder, it’s a $150 value, it usually sells for a reduced price of $95, but you can get it today for ONLY $71.25!!! It’s perfect for those of you that want to try some products, and it’s also perfect for those of you that already love the products and want products to travel with.
Do y’all remember when I shared the Flawless Pedi tool several months ago?
My heels were in bad shape, I saw it on an infomercial and ordered it, and it arrived the next day. After the first use, my heels were as smooth as a baby’s butt. FOR REAL.
You charge it with a USB charging cord and it comes with 2 different roller heads. It removes calluses and dry cracked skin in a safe way. I’m telling you. BABY’S BUTT. I also use it on the side of my big toe that tends to get rough as well. I’m HIGHLY RECOMMENDING this pedi tool. It’s UNDER $20 and worth every penny.
So……I put it in a drawer a couple of months ago, and I forgot that I had it until last weekend that is when my heels were in reallllly bad shape. The worst they’ve ever been I think. I found the pedi tool, I went to town on my heels, then I slathered them in some of the Cleansing Balm and then put socks on. The results were INCREDIBLE.
If you’re new to my blog and curious to learn more about Colleen’s products, I’ve got a couple of evergreen posts that you might want to go back to check out!

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO
Carter was sick a couple of weeks ago, and the pups didn’t leave his side. Oh, the sweetness.
WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT
Carter was around 8 months old here, and from the looks of things I was around 15. Ha! I’d give anything to hold this precious little nugget again.
WHAT I’M LISTENING TO
I’m not generally a podcast girl, but I love listening to Erika and Shay on The Bestie Breakdown! You can listen to this week’s Breaking Down Disney HERE or on your favorite podcast platform (Apple, Spotify, etc).
WHAT I’M WATCHING
Okay, y’all. So I’m rewatching one of my favorite dramas from years and years ago. Did y’all watch Brothers and Sisters the first time around? I loved it then, and I’m LOVING IT EVEN MORE now. This family is full of crazy drama, but they love each other fiercely, and I’m obsessed with the show. I mean…Sally Field, Calista Flockhart, ROB LOWE. The show is fantastic. I’m on season 2 right now, and I swear every single episode is better than the last.
WHAT I’M WEARING
BUT TODAY I’VE GOT EVEN MORE AMAZON FINDS FOR YOU!
The items I’m about to show you were all supposed to be in last week’s haul, but I ran out of time writing the post, so I had to move these next outfits to this week. I had several questions about the neon and grey sweater you see on the top right in the collage above because I accidentally included it in the collage picture I had made for last Friday’s post, and then I forgot to update the collage when I moved the sweater to this week. OOPS! Sorry for the confusion, y’all! But here it is! And I think you’ll find it was worth the wait.
This crewneck pullover is thick, so cozy, so soft, and so warm. I can’t believe it’s under $40, because it looks and feels much more expensive than it is! If you saw this in a boutique, it would be at least $80! I’m wearing the small here, but I think I would prefer the fit of a medium. The reviews are excellent.
This cozy crew neck sweater is from one of the Amazon The Drop collections. This is “the praline” and it’s a gorgeous camel color. Totally classic and beautiful. It’s more fitted on me than on the model, so I want to try the medium for a more relaxed fit.
It’s great with jeans, but it would also be perfect with pants or a skirt for the office.
I absolutely love the color and pattern of this soft touch crewneck sweater. It’s under $35 and is such a great look. The neckline is a little high, so if anything touching your neck bothers, you might want to skip over this one. It doesn’t bother me, but just a heads up for those of you that are annoyed by things touching your neck. I think it’s a great sweater! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
This half-zip sweater is so soft and has a totally modern vibe. It’s from an Amazon The Drop collection too. I’m wearing the “heather frost”, but it also comes in hummus, mocha, and black. I’m wearing the medium and really like the fit. The zip up collar is unique, and I think it’s a very chic look.
This mock neck cozy sweater is really soft and a great relaxed fit. It’s very oversized, but it’s not quite long enough for leggings, so I would still recommend this swingy sweater if you are wanting a longer tunic length sweater to wear with leggings.
This funnel neck sweatshirt is great for both jeans and leggings on me (I’m 5’4″), but if you are taller than 5’4″ it won’t cover your back side. This is called a sweatshirt, but I think it’s more of a cross between a t-shirt and a sweatshirt. It’s not nearly as heavy or thick as I would expect a true sweatshirt to be.
I ordered this backpack purse after getting lots of requests from readers to find one. I ordered two and hated the other one I got because it looked really cheap. This one has great reviews and is an awesome option for when you need to be totally hands free.
This tunic sweater is made for leggings. In fact, it’s long enough and oversized enough that I probably wouldn’t wear it with jeans. But with leggings? It’s perfect. It has an oversized turtleneck, but it’s not tight around my neck at all. Two details I like are the slits on the side and the fitted forearms. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
These Adidas sneakers just went on sale! I love the color and I love the laces.
WHEW! That’s all for today, ya’ll!
