It’s Friday, so y’all know what that means! It’s time to link up with Erika, Andrea, and Narci to let everybody know what some of my favorite things are right now!
First things first, ladies. Did you see the new MUST HAVE I named this week? I mean, it was kind of a big deal. #ifidosaysomyself #butreally #youMUSTHAVEthem 😉
I had a reader leave this comment on the blog on Monday, and it made me legitimately lol. I appreciate her willingness to succumb to my bossiness. Let’s be besties, Erin!

My little family of 5 (that’s counting the 2 fur babies of course) headed to the ranch for the last several days of Spring Break. The weather was absolutely glorious on Friday and all day Saturday (until the bottom fell out on Saturday night). My sister’s family came with us, and we had THE BEST TIME!
When we got there, I mixed a drink immediately (#priorities) and headed out to the dock to grab some pics for y’all of my new embroidered top with my favorite denim shorts. I showed you this top on Monday dressed up a bit with white jeans and wedges (click HERE to see that outfit), but I loved it just as much worn casually here.
The dogs were having NONE OF IT with the pictures. 😉
I’m true to size in the shorts (27), the top (small), and you need to size up a 1/2 size in the sandals.

I shared my drink of choice (while at the ranch) on instagram with y’all last night: Fresca, grapefuit seltzer, vodka, and lots of fresh lime juice. #YUM

We went fishing at sunset.
And then got to enjoy this.
And this. (Pic taken by the hubby!) 🙂
We were up the next morning and started fishing again, because #ranchlife. Here’s my ranch outfit of the day. I saw these frayed hem shorts on the Social Threads site, and they were nice enough to send me a pair! I sized up and am glad I did. They are stretchy, comfy, and so cute. I’m sure I’m going to have to give the frayed hem a trim after every several washings, but I’m okay with that. They are very comfortable and look great.

We spent all day Saturday fishing, riding around in the Ranger, and rock hunting. Surprisingly, we all got into it. Like really into it. We would find rocks, and then Chris would break them open with a sledge hammer. It was wayyyyyyyy too much fun. Carter and Brody were living their best lives for sure. 🙂
This kid discovered about 100 cool rocks. And don’t worry, we brought them all home in a huge Ziplock baggie. 😉
We did some more fishing….
And then rode to a friend’s nearby family lake to do some more fishing.
Carter informed me that this road is a rock collector’s dream. 😉
We were so happy to get to spend time at the ranch and JUST CHILL together. It’s our favorite place on earth, and now it’s the pups favorite place too. I’m not sure if they ever stopped running. 🙂

Getting messages from y’all about something you LOVE that you bought because of my recommendation is definitely one of my favorite things. I always feel such a since of relief when you ladies like something too!!! Here’s a comment I received about the must have denim jacket just this week:
I bought the denim jacket not long after you made it a “Must Have” and it is the absolute best. I find myself reaching for it all the time as it pairs perfectly with so many things. Since I bought it, I don’t think I’ve taken a trip where it didn’t go with me. It’s not bulky so it doesn’t take up much room in your suitcase and it works so well with all types of outfits. At first I hesitated because I thought I didn’t want to spend a lot on a denim jacket that I might not wear too often. Given the number of times I’ve worn it, and how well it still looks after all that wearing and washing, it has been an awesome investment! – Patty
Yay, Patty! So happy you love it too! Click HERE for Patty’s jacket. 🙂

When I was at the mall late last week, I tried on these jeans. They caught my eye on the hanger because I always have readers asking for non-distressed jean recommendations. Well, I thought these were awesome! And they are ON SALE for $34.80! The reviews are mixed, but I really liked the fit and feel. They were true to size for me, but they are SUPER skinny, which is what some of the mixed reviews were about. For $34.80, they might be worth a try for you! Click HERE for the jeans.

I’m in love with the color of this next top. It’s called “poppy”, and I think it’s a mix between coral and hot pink. The color is fabulous. Pair it with white jeans and colorful accessories, and you have yourself a great look for a girl’s night out or date night! The top also comes in turquoise, royal blue, and black.

And I hate to be bossy (just kidding, no I don’t) – but you need the jeans and the MUST HAVE WEDGES. Both are true to size and comfy, and the wedges also come in white, grey, and black. If you want to know more about the wedges, click HERE to see the post where they received their MUST HAVE status.

At the mall on Friday I tried on some of the new Kendra Scott beauties. These are pricey, but they are totally an updated classic that you will be able to wear for years and years to come.

I was going to share some more foods I’ve been eating this week, but I just ran flat out of time! I left for a conference yesterday morning, and just couldn’t get it done. I will definitely be sharing some foods/meals next Friday!

I showed this dress (NOW ON SALE!) on social media last week and it was a big hit! It’s fun and flirty and can easily be dressed up or down. You could wear this to many different types of events. At 5’4″, I’m in the 6 petite and thought it fit great. If I didn’t have to accommodate a large chest, I would have gone with the 4 Petite.
I have it styled more on the casual side here with wedges and a casual clutch. You’ve seen both the wedges and the clutch in tons of outfits so far this season, and you will continue to. They are awesome closet staples.
AND THE DRESS IS 30% OFF RIGHT NOW!!!

And here it is a bit dressier with colorful earrings and gorgeous heels to match! Sadly, the heels were too high for me, but they have excellent reviews! They are STUNNING, but since I don’t wear heels very often at all, these were just too tall for me.

I ordered this top on a whim, fully expecting not to like it. And I love it. The fabric is gauzy, much nicer than just a regular ol’ tee, and the fit is great (I’m wearing a small). Today you will see it with black jeans and regular blue jeans, but I’ll for sure be wearing it with white denim too. I love pairing olive and white together.

I’m loving that front tie tee on you! So cute!!!
Leila says
OK, I will say what we are all thinking, WE NEED YOU TO DO A DEDICATED POST ON YOUR WORKOUTS AND DIET!! I know you bring it up here and there and don’t make too big of a fuss of it… but I mean honestly, we all want to know how to get your legs, so quit holding out on us woman! A FULL POST, please! 😉 <3
Sheaffer says
Hi, Leila! You’re so sweet (and funny)! Thank you for noticing my hard work! They say 80% of your body is made in the kitchen, and I find that to be true. I have been paying lots of attention to what I eat. Healthy choices and smaller portions for sure. I’m working out 5 x a week – pretty much just cardio with some strength mixed in (without weights). I’ll see if I think I can make a whole post! I tell ya, the first 2-3 weeks are sooooooooooo hard, but then it gets so much easier! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Ashley Craw says
Hey, Sheaffer! I agree with the above comment that if you say it’s a must, I jump on board and don’t look back. Esp love the pretty pink tunic!
My question is – do you use Face Oil No9 or the Retinol Supreme Oil from Colleen Rothschild? I got the Face Oil No9 in my kit and love it, but wondered if I needed the Retinol oil instead? Trying to combat wrinkles. 🙁 I read the comments and product info, but not sure which to buy.
Thanks!
Sheaffer says
Hi, Ashley! I don’t use the Face Oil. It was too much for my skin. I use the Retinol Supreme Oil and love it! It’s more for wrinkles, where I think the Face Oil is more for moisture? I could be wrong. xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Kate says
The color of the crossover poppy tunic is absolutely stunning on you! I love the flirty black dress too, adorable and sexy, but not too revealing!
Sandra says
Love the LBD from LOFT on you. Do you think that is dressy enough for a “black tie optional” wedding?
Sheaffer says
Hi, Sandra! I think it is if you had the right accessories! Really dressy shoes, earrings, and bag – and you should be good to go! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
gretchen dall says
So many cute new things! What color poppy top are you wearing. Some reviews say size down. Thanks! Gretchen
Sheaffer says
Hi, Gretchen! I’m wearing the “poppy”! It’s a cross between coral and pink. I’m wearing a small. I needed the room for my chest…otherwise, I could have sized down. xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
