Happy Wednesday, Everybody! It’s time for everybody to join up today with Shay and me to let everybody know WHAT’S UP this fine Wednesday!
Let’s get right to it!
WHAT WE ARE EATING
We’re still eating the heck out of Hello Fresh over here and absolutely loving it. My favorite meal last week was this chicken sausage rigatoni. I love having all of the correct measurements for ingredients, the meals are such a time saver, we are having fun cooking together, AND we love the new and different meals we are eating (that we would never be eating if not for Hello Fresh). If you are interested in trying Hello Fresh for yourself, click HERE to order through my code and get $40 OFF!
My gosh it was incredibly delicious and soooo easy! Chicken sausage, a creamy tomato sauce, and sauteed red bell peppers and green onion? YES, PLEASE!
I got this as a repeat meal a couple of weeks ago because it’s definitely a family favorite. Our other favorite meals include the shrimp tacos, any of their stuffed burgers (SO GOOD!), and lots of their pasta dishes. I also love the crispy buffalo chicken.
WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT
WHAT I’M LOVING
So I did a thing.
I signed up for Walmart +.
And y’all. It’s freaking amazing.
Several weeks ago I realized I needed fresh corn for the shrimp boil we were having that night, but it was raining all day and I had tons of work to do at home, so I really didn’t want to get out. I’d been hearing all about the delivery service, so I thought it was the perfect day to sign up.
I placed my order for corn (and several other things) at about 9:30 on Tuesday morning, I chose a 2:00-3:00 delivery slot, and it arrived on my front porch at 2:35. It was so easy and so awesome.
This is me showing you that it was raining outside and I was in my house shoes, but groceries I needed were dropped off at my front door. #winning (And just fyi, I LOVE my my Amazon slippers.)
Comfy clothes, slippers, no make up, dirty hair, and GROCERIES!
I have a post all about this tomorrow highlighting every single thing you need to know, but you can click HERE if you want to check it out for yourself today.
And since we’re talking about Walmart, I feel compelled to link up these sneakers that are Steve Madden, available at Walmart, and ON SUPER SALE right now.
WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO
Same old, same old around here. Nothing new to report.
WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND
Not a whole heck of a lot. And I’m PUMPED.
Carter has a soccer game on Friday night, but that is seriously the only thing on our calendar. Bless it.
In fact, our weekend is so wide open, we might even pack up and head to the ranch (even though we were just there). We’ll see!
WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT: BACK IN STOCK ALERTS and SALE ALERTS
BACK IN STOCK ALERTS
I was going back through some Amazon posts from last year, and I found several items that previously sold out that are now BACK IN STOCK!
First up, THIS SWEATER. I cannot say enough good things about this sweater. It’s soooo soft, and the quality is incredible. It has a great relaxed fit, a split hem, and it’s longer in the back than the front. It’s awesome on it’s own, but it’s it’s also a great weight for layering. And did I mention, it’s stupid soft? Because it’s STUPID soft. It’s sweater perfection, especially during transitional weather. And get this…it’s ONLY $28.95!!! And now it comes in lots more colors, 16 to be exact. I’m wearing the mocha here.
It comes in 2 sizes: S/M and M/L, and I’m wearing the S/M.
If you are under 5’4″, I think you could even wear it with leggings!
I’m including this picture from the site because I think it gives a really accurate picture of how this sweater fits. And see what I mean? If under 5’4″, I think the split hem and longer back would totally allow you to wear it with leggings. And remember, these are my favorite Amazon leggings!
And I about DIED when I saw that these joggers are back in stock! If you weren’t able to grab them last year, you should be THRILLED that they are back!!! They sold out so fast, and I stopped checking for restocks after awhile. BUT THEY ARE FINALLY BACK!
I’ve had them for over a year now and still love them just as much as the day I got them. They wash beautifully and still look brand new. They are heavier than the other ones I own, and I love the closer fit and how these are higher-waisted. They aren’t as baggy as my other joggers either, and I feel like they are very flattering.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Some reviewers complained of a chemical smell with the black ones, and lots of you asked me about it last year, but mine don’t smell AT ALL. They never did. Other readers have chimed in and said the same thing about theirs not smelling either, so they must have fixed the issue! For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the joggers.
This hoodie is my idea of a perfect basic. The quality is amazing and I think it’s a total steal at $35. You will reach for this over and over. It’s soooooooooooooo soft on the inside because it’s lined with some super soft blush fleece. I love the stripes, and it comes in 2 other stripe colorways and 6 solid colors too. This is one of those tops that many of you will love so much that you will grab in at least 1 more color.
I’m wearing a small here and it’s fine, but if I order a 2nd color (thinking about the grey stripes), I’ll order a medium for a more relaxed fit.
I love the joggers and this denim jacket together, so it’s fun to mix up the look a bit with different shirts, jewelry, and shoes.
Here I went with my $13 striped swing tee! I MEAN!
I’m wearing a small in the tee, a medium in the jacket, and a small in the joggers. I would suggest sizing down a 1/2 in the sneakers if between sizes.
Almost the exact same outfit as above, but I switched out the striped swing tee for this blush short sleeve hoodie. I got this same hoodie in a black and white striped version last year, and I wore the heck out of it, especially with my favorite distressed denim shorts.
I thought it looked cute to have the hood and drawstrings hanging out of the jacket. I’m wearing a small in the hoodie.
When I got home from a day full of errands, I took the jacket off, and I was pretty much wearing lounge wear. The outfit is so comfy I could sleep in it.
And here are they grey joggers!
And how cute is my mom in my long cardigan that’s now back in stock! Actually, it used to be my cardigan, but now it’s hers. Haha! After seeing it on me, my mom called and said, “When you’re done with it, I want it“. I wasn’t really done with it yet, but she sure was surprised and happy when I gave it to her!

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO
As I’m writing this, it’s total and complete silence. Right this very second it is Monday night at 10:53 pm. Everybody is asleep but me. I actually tried to go to bed about 30 minutes ago, but I couldn’t go to sleep, so I got back up to do a little work and hopefully get sleepy. I love working in a super quiet house.
WHAT I’M WATCHING
A couple of different friends recommended Ted Lasso to us, and we binge watched the entire first season in 3 days. Y’all. It’s a show with SO MUCH HEART and I just adore it. It stars Jason Sudeikis who I also adore. In a nutshell, Ted Lasso (played by Sudeikis) is a small-time football coach that is hired to coach a professional soccer team in England, despite having no experience coaching soccer. The writing is brilliant, I laugh out loud throughout every single episode, and I’ve teared up a time or two as well. Just fyi, it’s not for kids (mainly just due to language although there are some sexual references as well). You can find it on Apple TV+.
And as a family, we’ve watched several episodes of Animals of the Night (on Apple+ as well). The videography is INCREDIBLE, and my goodness our planet and all of it’s creatures are amazing.
WHAT I’M WORKING ON
I can’t disclose the details just yet, but I’m working with a company I’ve known and loved for years, and I’m helping them design a thing or two. The only hint I’m going to give you is that it isn’t clothing.
I’m THRILLED about this partnership. We started the back and forth of the design process this week, so I’m excited to see the direction this little project takes! I’ll tell you more when I can!
I’M WEARING I’VE ORDERED
Instead of showing you what I’ve been wearing, I’m going to show you what I’ve ordered recently, and then I’m going to tell you if I decided to RETURN it or KEEP it.
I love the preppy vibe of this classic argyle sweater and that it has a bit of a modern twist with the vibrant colors. It’s such a fun sweater and it is oh so soft! I would recommend sizing down. I’m wearing a small and it’s still quite roomy.
If bright colors aren’t for you, it also comes in a light pink and grey combo and a cream and grey combo.
KEEP OR RETURN: I’m keeping this one!
So I love the color of this sweater, but that’s pretty much where my love affair stops. It’s heavier than I like, it’s boxier than I like, and it’s shorter than I like.
KEEP OR RETURN: I’m returning this for sure because I actually prefer the feel and fit of the turquoise Amazon sweater I showed last week (I’ll show it again below).
Here’s the Amazon crew neck sweater I prefer! It’s less expensive, softer, and has a better fit. WIN! WIN! WIN!
You can wear it out or in a 1/2 tuck. It’s very well made and would look great with white and/or black jeans as well. This sweater is definitely nice enough for office wear and could be dressed up with nice work pants. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
These are typically my GO TO pajamas from Nordstrom, and they come in TONS of colors and patterns. I purchased them to have a new pair of pajamas to wear in a beauty post. These pajamas are crazy soft and oh so cute. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
RETURN OR KEEP: I returned them because I shouldn’t have ordered stripes. I forgot that stripes photograph strangely on portrait mode, which is what we would use to shoot beauty shots. So even though I returned this particular pair, I have several pairs of these exact pajamas and highly recommend them.
I’m constantly receiving requests for tops that can be worn with leggings, so I ordered this tunic sweater sweater to give it a try. It’s very soft and it’s definitely long enough to cover all of your lady parts when wearing leggings. For size reference, I’m wearing a small, and there’s still lots of room.
The metallic leggings are AWESOME. They’ve got an elevated texture and look to them. I bought them with the idea that they would be great with sweaters and boots for a dressed up look. For size reference, I’m wearing a small. I’m 5’4″, and these are too long on my frame, but I have plans to get them altered.
RETURN OR KEEP: I kept the leggings OF COURSE. I love the sweater, but I returned it because I already have several super similar tunic sweaters. Also, after reading some reviews, it seems that there are serious issues with pilling. Since I didn’t keep it, I didn’t have any experience with washing and possible pilling, but I’d buy with caution.
See the texture of the leggings? LOVE.
This sweater is very soft, it’s a gorgeous shade of magenta, and it’s ONLY $11.86. WHAT IN THE WORLD. It also comes in turquoise, black, and several striped options.
KEEP OR RETURN: I kept this baby! You can’t beat it for $11.86!
UPDATE: A reader today left a comment saying she had this sweater and loved it, but it started pilling very badly. Boo!
And in case you missed the news last week, I’ve found my sneakers in full stock!
This cowl neck sweater is very different than anything I have in my closet. And I kind of dig that. It’s HUGE and a SUPER relaxed fit even though I’m wearing a small.
KEEP OR RETURN: So, I’m not sure yet. I’ve taken a round of clothes back since I’ve received this sweater, and I didn’t put it in the return pile at that time. I wanted to hold on to it for a little bit before making a final decision. I’m leaning towards keeping it.
AND IT’S ON SALE!
So what do y’all think? Did you like the KEEP/RETURN portion of today’s post? Is it helpful to see things I tried and didn’t like, or does it feel like a waste of time? I wouldn’t do this all the time, but if y’all like it, I could do it every so often. Sound off in the comments!
And don’t forget to link up for yourself and let us know what’s happening with you this fine Wednesday!
That’s it for today!
See you back here tomorrow for my full. honest, and super detailed review of Walmart +.
