The Manda Strong Gala

First of all, I want to again thank all of you that offered up prayers and donations last week.  For all of us that loved Manda, it’s so hard to believe that we’ve been without her for 3 years, but we sure did celebrate her this past weekend.

We celebrated her amazing life by coming together to raise money for some other amazing mamas.  AND Y’ALL.  With the donations through the site and with all that was raised at the gala, we raised more than we even thought was possible!

DRUM ROLL PLEASE……….$133,000 was raised for Manda Strong!!!!

Mamas with young kids that are battling cancer (just like Manda did) will be so blessed!

Friday night we had such an amazing time, and I kept thinking of Manda and how proud she would be of everybody coming together and doing so much good.  So many of my friends worked so hard to make the event perfect, and my goodness did all their work pay off.

I wanted to share some pictures from the night.

OUTFIT PICS WITH LINKS

On Friday’s post I highlighted Victoria Emerson bracelets, and I only linked the bracelets.  I had some questions about the rest of the outfits, so I thought I would link them today!

You’ve seen this green sweater a couple of times before already, and it’s become a favorite for me for sure.  Click HERE if you want to see it on me in styled outfit photos.

I love the color, the cable knit pattern, and the mock neck that is “lovingly unfinished”. I also love the wide band at the hem and the cuffs.  For size reference, I’m wearing a medium and it’s a very relaxed fit.

This cardi is AWESOME.

It’s not heavy, and it has a nice relaxed fit.  It’s seriously PERFECT for Spring and Summer.  This official cardi color is “faded rosebud”, and it’s no surprise I love this one because I always gravitate towards light pinks and blushes.

This is the UNDER $25 Amazon sweater that you’ve seen on the blog at least 5 times.  It comes in over 20 pattern and solids, but stock is definitely getting low in some of them.  I’m wearing a medium.

And you need to know about the leopard cardi in this picture.  I talked about a really long leopard cardi last month (click HERE to see the long version), but it sold out in like 2 seconds.  This one is from the same maker, but it’s a little bit shorter and doesn’t have buttons.  It’s an open cardi, and I actually prefer it to the longer one.

OUTFITS ON REPEAT

Let’s talk about the slub cotton sweater.  It comes in several colorways, but I was immediately drawn to the color combo of these stripes.  And I love that it’s got a lot of texture to it (it has a bit of a handmade feel), but it’s still soft.  I’m totally able to do a 1/2 tuck with it, and probably will, but I know that there are lots of you that prefer sweaters that look great without a 1/2 tuck.  And this one does!  I’m wearing the small and it’s a relaxed fit.

I’m 5’4′, wearing the regular 4s, and they still hit me at the ankle.  They are a great wash and a non-distressed look for Spring and Summer.  And check out the booty-lift construction.

This next sweater is a vibrant and colorful stripe.  I’m obviously wearing it with dark jeans here to transition into Spring, but how cute would it be with white jeans too!  It would also be great with navy work pants or a navy pencil skirt.

It’s soft, has a flattering fit, and is definitely nice enough to wear to the office as well.

I wore this doing errands last week on one of the unseasonably warm days.

This LOVE top is a sweatshirt, but it’s a very light sweatshirt.  It’s also stupid soft and crazy cute.  I’m obviously wearing it with jeans here, but it would be so cute with these grey joggers (one of my favorite pairs) and my mesh sneakers (apricot – size down a 1/2).  A jean jacket would also look great thrown over it if paired with the joggers.

THREE NEW AMAZON FINDS

Listen up, because this washed boyfriend button up is FABULOUS.  It’s 100% cotton and comes in 11 colors.  I’m wearing the “blue classic stripe” here, and I love it.  And think how cute it will be with white jeans!

I’m wearing a medium, which is true to size for me.  I always wear mediums in button ups to ensure that the buttons won’t pull.

HOW CUTE IS THIS PUFFY SLEEVE TOP!  It’s a light little sweatshirt that will transition easily into Spring, and it has these great little pleated puffy sleeves.  But don’t worry, the sleeves aren’t too puffy, they are DARLING.  I’m wearing a medium in this sweatshirt, but I definitely need a small.

Okay, real talk. I LOVED this top the first time I wore it, and I was so excited to share it with you.  The second time I wore it, one of the sleeves got caught on a part of my bag strap, and it pulled out several inches.  Some of the other reviewers mentioned trouble with pulling as well, so buy at your own risk.  If I hadn’t had the issue with the pulling, I would have been highly recommending it!  I love how it wraps, I love the lightweight fabric, and I think it’s very flattering.  I’m wearing a small.
