First of all, welcome to the new site!
You guys, this has been a long time coming, and I am THRILLED with the new and improved Sheaffer Told Me To. Y’all have always been so supportive of this space, and today I’m excited to bring you this new look.
It’s FRESH, it’s STREAMLINED, it’s easy to navigate, and it’s FUN! Please take a moment to take a look around. I sure do hope that all of you love it too.
Now before we get to today’s outfit, I have just a handful of call-outs to help you get familiar with the new format and design.
See the magnifying glass on the top right? Click that, and you’ll find a search bar! When the little drop down box appears, you can type in what you’re looking for, and the corresponding posts will pop up.
You can refer to the tabs across the top of my blog for the most searched categories. The “HOME” tab will always get you to the main page. The “About Me” tab will give you a little peek into how the blog came to be, you’ll get to see my favorite family picture, and you’ll learn what I hope this space is for you. The “Must Haves” tab links all previous MUST HAVES in one place, and it also lists items that I talk about so often that they should have been named must haves. The “Amazon” tab will get you to ALL of my Amazon posts, and the “Bachelor” tab will do the same for all of my Bachelor and Bachelorette posts. “Reader Questions” will of course send you to all of my popular reader questions posts, and the “Disclosures” tab details everything you need to know about affiliate links and sponsored posts. The “Shop” tab takes you to a page where you will see many of my instagram pictures. And if you are interested in one of the outfits, click on the picture and you will see the links pop up!
Beneath the new “Sheaffer Told Me To” logo, you will now see pictures and titles from my 3 most recent posts. Hopefully this will be a great way for you to catch posts you might have missed. Just click on the post you are interested in.
Under that, you will find the most recent post. Just click on the bright pink “READ THE POST” button to unlock the posts in their entirety.
Now that you’ve been given a little tour, let’s get to today’s outfit!
LEOPARD CARDIGAN AND JEANS
THIS IS A wonderful Spring outfit and a REALLY GREAT CARDIGAN.
The leopard pattern is perfection, and I’m guessing it’s going to FLY off the shelf.
I’ve found that most leopard print cardigans, definitely the ones that I’ve personally featured anyway, are thick and quite warm. There’s of course a time and place for those, but I wanted to find an option in a lighter weight fabric that could be worn in Spring, Summer, and Fall. I also wanted to be able to dress it up or down, and this cardi checked all the boxes.
I love how it looks with jeans, but it would also be great for office wear. The pattern is classic, the fit is awesome, and I’m so excited to have it in my closet.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
On my 5’4″ frame, it hits just above my knee, and I love the longer length.
This bag was definitely a splurge purchase for me last year, and I’ve had no regrets! It’s a great size and can totally hold a small wallet, a small makeup bag, keys, a phone, and some other small essentials.
This shot gives you a good idea of how these jeans are higher waisted than my other Wit and Wisdom jeans, but don’t worry, they aren’t too high. I love their sculpting power and really feel like they define my waist, suck it in, and still allow me to breathe. It really is a thing of wonder.
This particular pair is a great medium wash and has a tiny bit of distressing, but just enough to make them interesting. They are crazy comfortable and boast the slimming Ab-solution power-mesh panels that we’ve all grown to love. They also have a waistband with interior control and booty-lift construction. HECK YES.
Like I mentioned last week, I’m to the point in my life where I pretty much flat out refuse to wear jeans that don’t have stretch in them. Jeans with no stretch offend me. Haha! But what’s great about this brand is that they don’t stretch out and sag by the end of the day.
For size reference, I’m wearing a 4, but size down if between sizes.
This is a really terrific outfit made up of lots of great individual pieces.
I’ve already thought of several different ways to style the cardi (it would look great with a black tank and black jeans!), but one super easy way to change up the above look is just to switch out the black tee for a white tee.
One easy switch, and you have another great look.
Don’t you agree that you probably need this cardigan? IT’S SO GOOD.
Now before you go, I would like to extend a huge and heartfelt thank you to the ladies that helped make the blog redesign possible. I truly could not have done it without them (they’re laughing right now because they know it’s true).
*The new logo is by Stephanie at Joy Creative Shop.
*The new site design is by Stephanie at Stephanie Drenka.
Both ladies were wonderful to work with, and if you are looking for creative input or a site design wizard, I would highly recommend both! Working with Stephanie at Joy Creative Shop was a new experience for me, and I loved the back and forth we did during the creative process. I’ve been working with Stephanie Drenka for years and am constantly in awe of her talent and work ethic.
I hope you all love the new look as much as I do, and I really hope you take another minute or two to look around. Have a wonderful Monday, friends!
