GIRLS! I’VE FOUND THEM! ALERT THE NEWS MEDIA, STOP THE PRESSES, and CALL YOUR BESTIES. The search for THE BEST WHITE JEANS EVER is over! (You also might want to start crying now…because I posted these on facebook yesterday afternoon when then seemed to be fully stocked, but as of last night, sizes 0-10 had sold out. Go ahead and read the post, and we’ll all keep our fingers crossed that they get restocked! Plus, I have lots of other great stuff in the post besides just the white jeans.)
A good pair of white jeans is hard to find. How do I know? Well, because over the last 3 years I’ve probably tried on at least 50 pair. They are either too tight, too thin, see through, not stretchy, not flattering, or the pockets show through. WHITE JEANS ARE TOUGH! Last year the pair I liked best came from Target (even though I had tried on some that were as much $188!). Sadly, they sold out quickly and never re-stocked. Well, even though I loved them last year, I wore them like crazy and they didn’t hold up very well, so I was going to need a new pair this year. SIGH.
WELL. Nordstrom had asked me to do a 2 post series on jeans from Nordstrom, and since I pretty much wear a pair of jeans from Nordstrom every single day (LOVE my Vigoss and AG skinny ankle jeans the most), I just planned to do a post on those. However, after several requests from you ladies, I decided to go another route for the post and do another white jean hunt! I tried a couple of pairs from the juniors department, and although they were a great price point, I didn’t love them. I even tried on some designer jeans that were a much higher price point (one pair was even $220!), but I didn’t love those either. Then I ordered two pair from Wit and Wisdom. I received one pair early last week, tried them on, and had already taken them back. I thought the waistband was uncomfortable, and that just wouldn’t do. But then THIS pair arrived late last week. AND Y’ALL. THESE JEANS ARE NO JOKE.
Here’s what you need to know about them: The “Abs-solution” slims with power-mesh panels to mold and hold, including a waist band with interior control and booty-lift construction. I almost didn’t order them, because when I initially saw them online, I kind of thought that I didn’t need all of that fancy stuff. I mean, did I really need power-mesh panels? YES. THE ANSWER IS YES. Let me tell you something, I APPRECIATE A LITTLE INTERIOR CONTROL AND BOOTY LIFT CONSTRUCTION. Y’all! Look at my booty! It’s LIFTED and SUCKED IN! #andalltheladiessaidamen As I’m looking at the pictures, I’m considering getting them hemmed just a bit so there isn’t any sagging in the knees, but I didn’t notice that when I actually had them on. Guess I was too distracted by my flattened tummy and my lifted booty! 😉
Click HERE for the jeans. Oh, one more HUGE PLUS. They are $68.
For size reference, I’m wearing a 4, so I think they are true to size. They are a mid-rise (which is PERFECT for me). Low rise often drive me crazy if I’m yanking on them all day, but high-waisted just aren’t comfy to me. But these? These are just right. #justcallmegoldilocks
Now, I typically hate it when ANY bit of pocket shows through….but for some reason it didn’t bother me on these jeans. If I decide it does, I will have a tailor take out the interior pockets and stitch them up….but I actually think I’m going to be okay with it! And if you don’t ever tuck shirts in, then it shouldn’t be an issue for you at all.
And here’s the entire outfit. I love color of this top. It’s called “bittersweet red”, but I think it’s much more of a coral.
white jeans / embroidered sleeveless top (I’m wearing a small, so I believe it’s true to size. You do need to wear a cami under it.)/my $12 cami / gold earrings / cork wedges (I suggest ordering a 1/2 size up.) / arrow necklace / $18 bar necklace

When I ordered the jeans, I also threw a couple of spring blouses in my cart. I wanted some bright fun colors that I could wear in Spring, but would also carry me into Summer. I really liked the coral above and I know I’ll get lots of wear out of it, but I’d been wanting a bright green blouse for awhile now, so I was so excited when I found THIS one. I was so hopeful when I pulled it out of the box to try it on…and it’s a great blouse, but it’s not for me. I like the option of being able to do a 1/2 tuck with a top like this, but the hankerchief hem makes it difficult. If you don’t ever like to do a 1/2 tuck, then you will probably love this blouse! I love the neckline and the gathering detail on the shoulders is so pretty. Still, even though I didn’t keep it, I thought some of y’all would like to see it! I’m wearing the same shoes and jewelry as I was above, I just switched out the blouses. I love the green, gold, and white together; I think it’s such a fresh look!
So a couple more things you need to know about the jeans. I had a reader e-mail me the following information, and then my friend Cassi told me as well. Nordstrom employees at the store are saying that these jeans along with the entire Wit and Wisdom line are being discontinued at Nordstrom. The reader was told they were just going to be carried online, but Cassie was told they were phasing this brand out of Nordstrom completely (both in stores and online). WHICH IS TRAGIC. So, get ’em while the gettin’s good girls!

And I wanted to let you know that the same “Ab-solution” technology is found in THESE standard blue jeans as well. If you aren’t in to white jeans (and you totally should be by the way), you might want to try these.
And here’s a pic of the technology that’s built into both the white jeans the blue jeans directly above. See the really wide stretchy material on the waistband? It kind of reminds me of my son’s waistband on his baseball pants! And there is also stretchy mesh built into the front behind the pockets. I don’t understand it, but I appreciate it’s power. 🙂 Oh, and I love that the jeans have a white button. #it’sthelittlethings
And for those of you that are Wit and Wisdom lovers, I’ve heard from several readers that they ordered THESE girlfriend jeans and are HUGE fans! The readers do suggest to size down 1 size in these girlfriend jeans.
And I know many of you love THESE skinny jeans that I named a MUST HAVE in January of 2015. For size reference, I am wearing a size 4, so I feel like they are true to size. Some reviews say to order down a size, but I’m glad I got my normal size. If you want to see my full review of these jeans and why I love them so much, click HERE for the original post!
And just for fun, here are some other tops I think would look awesome with white jeans! Just click on the top(s) you are interested in!
Now before we’re done today, I want to address some questions I’ve received about the new site. I’ve received several e-mails about the new blog being blocked on work computers. I’ve also had several comments about the font in the e-mail subscriptions either being too tiny or too big to read! Well, we are hopeful that we’ve come up with a solution! A huge THANK YOU to Stephanie for working on this for me! If you are experiencing either problem, please click HERE to sign up for the blog e-mail through a different service. The font should be corrected, and you should be able to read the blog at work!!!!!! Again, just click HERE and sign up! It will only take like 5 seconds, you’ll then receive an e-mail to confirm your subscription, and after you confirm it, you’ll be good to go! And if you are experiencing blurry pictures, a fix for blurry iPad images was implemented this morning, so refresh the site several times and see if you notice any improvements! Please let me know if this works for you!
Thank y’all for being patient with the little hiccups this first week, and we will continue to work hard to get all of them fixed in a timely manner! If you are experiencing other issues since the blog switched platforms, please feel free to leave a comment so we can work on trouble shooting them!
