Happy Wednesday, y’all!
I’ve got a Shopping with Sheaffer post today, and I’m pumped! You can also click HERE to see the one I did in May, because several items are still available!
These kinds of posts are some of my favorite kinds to do. They take FOREVER (from sourcing items, to placing orders, to unpacking boxes, styling outfits, creating links, writing reviews, etc). But still, they are a favorite! My goal is always to be a great resource for all of you, and by sharing several retailers and lots of different pieces, I think these posts help make fashion accessible and shopping easy and fun.
Today I’m highlighting pieces from Nordstrom, Social Threads, Our Place, Walmart, and Amazon. I think most of you will be sure to find at least 1 item you would like to add to your closet in today’s post.
We’re kicking things off with Nordstrom because I hit the Nordstrom jackpot with my last couple of orders!
Do you remember this outfit planning collage?
The above earrings sold out and the above wedges have been stuck in Mt. Pleasant, TX since June 7th, but I still put a similar outfit together…
The dress is simple, classic, flattering, and comfy as all get out. Featuring a shirred bodice and voluminous puff sleeves, this pretty midi dress is made of lightweight cotton dobby. It’s effortlessly put-together—and yes, it has pockets, too. For size reference, I’m wearing a 6. Per the reviews, people seem to either love it or hate it. I happen to love it.
I’m wearing it dress on the left with a clutch and heeled sandals, and more casually on the right with a tote and flat sandals.
Here’s another collage from last week.
I changed a couple of things up, but the above collage was definitely my inspiration! The red star earrings and bracelet stack are pretty much necessary for the 4th, and the navy eyelet top is summer perfection. It’s got eyelet, it’s got scallops, and it’s got summer vibes. It comes in white too. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. The denim shorts are not currently available (they sold out so fast when first featured), but they’re awesome, and they should be available in a couple of weeks.
After I made the outfit collages, I ordered several of the pieces featured in the collages, and I got really lucky.
This batik dress is super special. The colors and the pattern are so unique (I’ve always loved pink and red together), and the fit is fabulous. The top is smocked and super stretchy, the spaghetti straps are adjustable, and it has pockets! I’m not wearing a bra in this picture, but when wearing it out, I will definitely throw on the very best strapless in the entire world.
I didn’t have all of the items in the collage, so I styled it with things already in my closet. Now that I know I love the dress, I’m super tempted to order the straw tote and sandals.
Okay, I’m going to use one more outfit planning collage for inspiration.
I’ll say this, I love the pants, but the above white top was not for me. It was really big, really boxy, and just not super cute. But since I loved the pants, I still wanted to style them, so I grabbed this striped top.
The striped top is better than just a regular tee (and it better be, because it’s $49). It’s like a fine gauge knit, and it is incredibly soft. The fit is super relaxed, and I just love it on. For size reference, I’m wearing a small. If between sizes, I would suggest sizing down.
The knit drawstring pants are kind of like a fancy jogger. They zip and they have a button like a regular pair of pants, but they are soft and comfy like a jogger, and they have the jogger styling with the tie at the waist. For size reference, I’m wearing a small. If between sizes, I would suggest sizing up.
Because I’m in love with the striped top, I wanted to style it a couple of different ways to show the versatility. Here it is with a great pair of denim shorts (that I’ll let you know about as soon as they are available again).
I wanted you to see the shirt out on the left and with a 1/2 tuck on the right.
It looks great with white denim too!
Bright-white stretch denim and ‘Ab’solution powermesh shaping panels make these mid-length cutoffs a clean, polished look for warm weather.
- 5″ inseam; 22 1/2″ leg opening; 10″ front rise; 15″ back rise
- 52% cotton, 26% lyocell, 19% polyester, 3% spandex
They are stretchy, comfy, and flattering as all get out. I love the length and the raw and subtle frayed him. These are going to be my GO TO white denim this summer for sure! For size reference, I’m wearing my regular size 4. You can check out other Wit and Wisdom white denim short options HERE.
This embroidered blouse has very pretty details, and I’m obsessed with the light melon color. Made of airy crinkle cotton, this floral-embroidered top has a rounded square neckline, short puff sleeves and a lace-up back. But don’t worry, it’s not an open back, it just laces at the very top. I would say it runs on the small side. In Madewell, I sometimes wear a small and sometimes wear a medium, but I’m wearing the medium here and it’s still a bit snug.
These smocked waist shorts are fabulous. The description says they are “effortlessly chic”, and I totally agree. They are a linen blend, have a smocked waist, and a relaxed fit. They are a tiny khaki and white stripe that absolutely screams summer! For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the shorts.
COLLEEN ROTHSCHILD STOCK UP FOR SUMMER SALE
Right now Colleen is hosting her STOCK UP FOR SUMMER SALE, and you can benefit from Buy One, Get One 50% OFF with the code BOGO50. There’s also FREE 2 DAY SHIPPING on orders over $149!
Because I know many of you are going to want to take advantage of the sale, I thought I would take a minute to highlight some of my ride or die products today. These first two products are the two products I can’t live without. I use them consistently throughout the entire year. I truly don’t go a day without using them.
Out of all of the products in the Colleen Rothschild line, the Cleansing Balm is my favorite product by far. It totally changes the taking off your makeup game, and I’m telling you, you won’t even dread washing your face at night. I KNOW. That’s a big claim, but I stand behind it. If you’re on the fence, CHECK OUT THE REVIEWS ON SITE!
This balm truly has a cult following. For those of you that haven’t tried it yet, it’s different than any other cleanser I’ve ever used. First of all, I apply it to a dry face. I scoop out a small amount of the balm with dry hands and slather it on to my dry face. As I rub it on my face, the heat from my hands changes the balm into more of an oily texture and it just feels incredibly luxurious. It melts my makeup away, leaves my skin feeling amazing and hydrated, and the light citrus smell is PERFECT.
And listen, if you’re concerned about the price, don’t be. This jumbo tub will last most people around 9 months! With the sale price (about 25% OFF of both products for the BOGO sale), that comes out to about $8 per month for luxury skin care. That’s an absolute bargain!
After cleansing my face, I use the peel pads. I’ve been using the Glycolic Acid Peel Pads for a couple of years now, and I absolutely swear by them. After adding them to my weekly routine years ago, I’ve never looked back. Remember the Stridex pads we all used as teenagers? Well, these are the new and much improved version! While the Stridex pads were salicylic acid and more of an acne treatment, the CR pads are glycolic and lactic acid, both used for cell turnover.
We’re talking a spa-strength treatment formula that helps to help dissolve skin-clogging dirt and debris. And listen to this… your skin’s natural renewal process will be enhanced as a result of the 10 percent blend of The Glycolic and Lactic Acids in the pads. They target fine lines, hyperpigmentation and imperfections and will reveal a fresher, brighter, more even complexion. YES, PLEASE!
I’m ALL ABOUT brighter skin and these pads really deliver. They are large, so I sweep the pad all over my face, neck, and chest. There are 60 pads per order, and I’m only using one of these every several days, so they should last between 2-3 months.
The Intense Hydrating Mask is an easy answer for skin that needs extra hydration. You apply it at night and let it sink in while you sleep. It gives a boost of highly concentrated hydration to tight, dry, rough or dehydrated skin. This treatment helps strengthen elasticity, leaving skin with a youthful suppleness and radiance. Just read the reviews if you want to know more. The reviews are fantastic.
The Micro Mineral Resurfacing Scrub is my very favorite mask to use. Whenever my skin is feeling dull or lackluster, I use this scrub to wake up my face and really brighten it right on up. After using it, my skin is SO SOFT and it truly does look healthier and more glowy. It refines texture, helps reduce clogged pores and brightens dull complexions by buffing away dead skin cells using the power of ultra-fine crystals.
I don’t like to spend a lot of time or money on expensive spa treatments, but this scrub is like an at home alternative to professional microdermabrasian treatment. Do you see the rose quartz pieces below? When I rub the scrub on my face, it feels like very very fine sand. It gently (but efficiently!) exfoliates and reveals newer and fresher skin. IT’S AN INCREDIBLE PRODUCT.
The Face Oil #9 used to be too much for my skin, but now I can’t imagine it not being a part of my nightly routine. Colleen touts it as the ultimate in skin luxury, and I have to agree. It improves radiance. RADIANCE! Who doesn’t want to increase their radiance?!?
I put 1 full pump in my hand with the Extreme Recovery Cream (also seen below) and apply it all over my face and neck. It hydrates and plumps like nothing else I’ve ever used. The Extreme Recovery Cream is thick, rich, and ultra-creamy. My skin absolutely drinks this special little cocktail up.
And I’m not the only one that swears by it in my family. My mom and sister do as well. Actually, they are both devoted users of many products in the line. My mom did a full review of her favorite products awhile back, and you can click HERE to read all of her thoughts. She’s added in new products since then, but it’s a comprehensive review of her routine at the time. My mom is in her mid 70s and looks AMAZING, so copying her skincare routine wouldn’t be such a bad idea.
Have y’all seen this? I got an e-mail this week teasing a new product, and based upon what was said, I got excited that there was maybe an Our Place Air Fryer that was going to launch.
Well, guess what! The Wonder Oven is now here!
A conveniently-sized, countertop-worthy appliance that can air fry, bake, roast, toast, reheat, and broil – all with our steam infusion technology for crispy exteriors and soft, moist interiors.
- It does everything, from ultra-crispy air frying, to serious roasting, to rejuvenating steam infusion!
- It preheats 75% faster* and cooks up to 30% faster** than traditional ovens. Whip up dinner in no time!
- It’s spacious: Roast a 4.5-pound chicken or go multilevel to cook double the capacity of a stand-alone air fryer.
Go check out the Wonder Oven Page if you want to see all the bells and whistles. It looks incredible! I’ve gotta say, I love everything they put out, so I’m quite sure I’m going to be obsessed with this as well.
The shorts in all of these outfits (and the outfits above) are from Social Threads. And don’t worry, once they are available again, I will immediately share them!
Remember, you can always use the code STMT10 for 10% OFF your Social Threads order.
If you want a top with a little drama, this floral tassel tie top could check all the boxes for you! Balloon sleeves, split neck, and a relaxed and boxy fit. I think it looks best with a 1/2 tuck. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but I think a small would be fine.
Are you dying? Because I’m dying.
This pink and white textured top is absolutely precious. It’s got a double flutter sleeves, texture, and a babydoll silhouette. Wear it out or do a half tuck. It’s going to look great with white denim too. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. Use the code STMT10.
These were favorites that I posted on Friday…
I’m completely smitten with this watercolor split neck top. It’s lightweight, has a swingy babydoll fit, and is the most gorgeous combination of colors. It features a split neckline with ruffle detail, short balloon sleeves, and a relaxed babydoll silhouette. Wear it out, wear it with a 1/2 tuck, wear it with regular denim, wear it with white denim, just wear it! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. Use code STMT10.
I’m guessing y’all know by now that I’ll buy pretty much anything that’s a pink and red floral combo. What can I say, IT SPEAKS TO ME. This top has a very similar shape as the top above, but a silkier texture, so it leans a bit dressier. Even so, I love dressing it down with distressed denim shorts. It will look absolutely amazing with white boot cut jeans and wedges. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. Use code STMT10.
Also similarly shaped as the above two tops, this one boasts colorful embroidery and is 100% cotton like the first top. If you don’t like a relaxed fit, you won’t like these tops. I happen to LOVE a relaxed fit. I’m again wearing a medium. Use code STMT10.
This USA cropped tee features a ribbed neckline, dropped shoulders, raw hem, and a cropped silhouette. Now, I’ll say this, I have a non-existent torso. Because of this, although short on me, it’s not cropped. This is good news for me, because you’ll never see me in a cropped tee. If you’ve got a long torso, it will definitely be more cropped. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. Use code STMT10.
Also… some style of the beloved RISEN JEANS are back in stock as of this morning!
Click HERE to see everything available, but you know, you need to act fast! Make sure you read sizing recommendations on the site for each pair. And once again, remember to use code STMT10 for 10% OFF!
The original are even back in stock!
Super comfy and a little retro. I feel like my mom had a terry set very similar to this back in the 80s! I’m wearing a medium in the top and a small in the shorts. You can see that even in the size small shorts I had to turn the waistband up one. They were roomy and a bit long for my liking.
I love a simple t-shirt dress. This one is super soft, super comfy, and it has a great fit. Style it with red and white accessories for a great look for the 4th. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
A simple t-shirt dress, but make it long! This is the “coral rose” and it’s such a fun and unexpected color combination. It also comes in a classic black and white stripe, a heathered turquoise, and a heathered lavender. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
I love the top (you saw me with denim shorts several weeks ago), so when I saw the matching skirt, you know I threw it in my cart.
I think the set is adorable! I’m wearing a medium in the top, but an x-small in the skirt, so size down.
This dress is 100% cotton, has short flutter sleeves, and a tiered bodice. The fit is a bit swingy and totally perfect. This is the “soft papaya”, but it comes in 10 total color choices. This is a dress that I think some of you will order in multiples. Listen, no judgement here. It’s on sale for only $10.98. So really, getting more than 1 makes sense. It’s just good math. 😉
For size reference, I’m wearing a small. And just fyi, it has EXCELLENT reviews.
If you like a boxy tee, this is a great one! If you don’t like boxy, don’t get this tee. I think the striped tee is fun! For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
The denim shorts have an 8″ inseam, but they are made cool and modern with the distressing and the wash. They have a total beach vibe, and I dig it. They do have a tiny bit of stretch to them, but I still recommend sizing up. I’m wearing a 6.
That’s all for today, y’all! See you back here on Friday!
