Happy Friday, y’all!
I’ve got a Shopping with Sheaffer post today, and I’m pumped! I haven’t done one of these in a while, but these kinds of posts are some of my favorite kinds to do. They take FOREVER (from sourcing items, to placing orders, to unpacking boxes, styling outfits, creating links, writing reviews, etc). But still, they are a favorite! My goal is always to be a great resource for all of you, and by sharing several retailers and lots of different pieces, I think these posts help make fashion accessible and shopping easy and fun.
Today I’m highlighting pieces from Nordstrom, LOFT, J Crew Factory, Social Threads, Kohl’s, Walmart, and Amazon. I think most of you will be sure to find at least 1 item you would like to add to your closet in today’s post. Everything I’m sharing today is under $80, lots is under $50, and there are a handful of pieces under $30!
I placed a J Crew Factory order last week and this blouse was the first to arrive. I FLIPPING LOVE IT and it’s now on SUPER SALE! The colors, the graphic floral pattern, the fit…I love it all. It’s 100% cotton, and it somehow manages to be both crisp and soft. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
I hit the Nordstrom jackpot and have several things to share today that I think y’all are going to love. We’ll talk about the bubble sleeve tee in a minute (it’s from LOFT), but these smocked waist shorts are fabulous. The description says they are “effortlessly chic”, and I totally agree. They are a linen blend, have a smocked waist, and a relaxed fit. They are a tiny khaki and white stripe that absolutely screams summer! For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the shorts.
Do you remember this outfit collage from last Friday’s post?
All the pieces I ordered arrived, and I wanted to recreate the outfit!
This plaid popover is my kind of shirt, and I’m thinking it might be your kind of shirt too. It’s easy and breezy with a relaxed and flowy fit. It’s good with white jeans, but I think it’s going to be great with light wash denim shorts. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
These white jeans are ones you really need in your closet. Soft, stretchy, comfy, and flattering as all get out. I’m wearing my regular size 4.
This striped tulip sleeve top is mixed media with a super soft and stretchy body and sleeves that are light, airy, and flouncy! I love the shape of the double sleeves and the subtle stripe. The site suggested to size down, so I’m wearing a small. I did think the body was pretty fitted, so I think I might prefer the fit of the medium. It’s a perfect pairing with white jeans.
I have to say, this top doesn’t look like anything special in the picture below, but I actually really love it. It’s lightweight, gauzy, has a tiny little flutter on the sleeve, and a deep v-neck (that isn’t too deep). It comes in several other colors and patterns. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
Okay, now let’s hop from Nordstrom to Walmart! THESE PAJAMAS ARE EVERYTHING. Do y’all remember the pajamas I featured around Christmas that I fell in love with (the ones that looked like flannel, but were a lot comfier?), well these are from the same maker.
I fell in love with the colors and pattern (although there are lots of options), and I fell deeper in love when I put them on because they are soft and I love the fit. I’m wearing a small in the top and a medium in the shorts. I would prefer a small in the shorts, but they were sold out. 🙁
If you prefer some capri bottoms (vs. the shorts), click HERE.
Find everything from Joyspun HERE.
The material on this set is a crazy soft jersey cotton. Again, they both come in tons of colors and patterns and lots of them are mix and match. I’m wearing a medium in the tee and a small in the shorts. Both pieces are right at $10 each. What a deal!
To check out tons of pajamas from the same maker click HERE.
This knot front midi dress is totally out of my comfort zone, but I’m digging it. I mean, I think I am. I just need to be brave! 😉 It’s all sorts of sassy, and it shows some cleavage, but I think it’s FUN and FLIRTY and FEMININE and FABULOUS.
It’s a GORGEOUS and totally eye catching pink (but it also comes in a bold stripe). The cut and fit are unlike anything else I have in my closet. It’s 98% cotton and 2% spandex, which accounts for the stretch in the dress. It looks like it’s perfectly tailored, but the stretch is what makes that possible. And get this, I’m wearing my regular bra!
Do y’all think I’m crazy to love it? Because I do.
For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
This tiered dress IS BACK! Do y’all remember it from last year? If I recall, I think it might have been in y’alls Top 10 from all of 2022. All of the colors sold out last year, but it’s back this year in all new colors! I’m wearing the papaya here, and it comes in 9 additional colors.
Sooooooooooo many of y’all bought this dress in multiple colors. It’s a super soft cotton, launders great, and is quite flattering.
AND GET THIS, it’s just under $15.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
And here it is in navy…
If you were following along last year, maybe you remember this picture from a group of teacher friends that was sent to me.
LOOK! HOW! CUTE! THEY! ARE!
I’m telling you, this dress looks great on everybody! They’re all wearing last year’s colors, so you need to check out this year’s colors!
Maybe you remember this outfit collage from Monday’s post…
I forgot to grab the heart bag from my closet, and I don’t have the turquoise necklace, but it’s still a great outfit!
The dress is a linen blend, and it has some weight to it. If you don’t like this bold pattern, it also comes in a solid pink. Y’all know me, and I think the dress worn by itself is a little bare for my liking, but I love it with my trusty denim jacket. The straps are adjustable, and the back panel is smocked for an easy and comfy fit. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
I’m totally smitten with these paperbag shorts. I just think this pattern is so flipping cute, and the colors are obviously bright and vibrant.
The description says they are a 4″ inseam, but I feel like they look much longer than that on me. They are high waisted with an elastic waist and a gathered ruffle on top. For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the shorts.
This is another piece where I think the pictures aren’t doing it justice, but I love it in person. It does run quite bit. I’m wearing a small, and it’s still roomy, so definitely size down. This is the “Bold Blossoms Soft Papaya”, but I think it’s just a really pretty and vibrant floral. It’s got a great v neck, tiny little pleats across the bodice, and pockets! If you don’t want to wear it as a dress, it would make an excellent swimsuit cover up. It’s under $20!
I’ve highlighted Nordstrom and Walmart, now I have some items from LOFT. I actually haven’t shown anything from LOFT in quite a while, but I found several pieces this time!
This bubble sleeve tee is a bright white and it’s not see thru. It’s a great white tee that’s elevated with the softly pleated neckline and the subtle bubble sleeves. It’s very soft and comfy. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
Here’s the same tee in pink! It comes in black too!
I really like the tees above, but now I’ve got a really special top! And this one is ON SALE!
The color is GORGEOUS, the eyelet is so pretty, the neckline is lovely, and the scalloped hem is absolutely charming. CHARMING!
This top can easily be styled with a half-tuck, but it’s perfect for you that like to not tuck things in. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
Now I’ve got some great new finds from Social Threads, and the code STMT 10 will get you 10% OFF!
When taking a video of this top that I’ll share on instastories this weekend, I talked about the bluebonnets on the shirt.
I WAS MISTAKEN.
Apparently, these are hydrangeas. I know, I know. I’m from Texas, I should be ashamed.
This top is truly a perfect summer top! It’s 100% cotton, lightweight, and a relaxed fit. The sleeves are too cute, and I’m in love with the pattern. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
Styling it with white jeans is just so fresh!
Soft, flowy, adorable, and totally unique! This flutter sleeve top will be great all spring and summer long, but the red, white, and blue color combo makes it perfect for Memorial Day and July 4th. The neckline is actually higher than I typically like, but it doesn’t bother me in this top. The top 1/4 of the top is smocked, but it’s not tight at all (which I appreciate). And I’m dying over the red rick rack trim on the flutter sleeve. I’m wearing a medium, but a small would be fine for me in this top. Remember to use the STMT10 code!
You had to know I was going to style it with white jeans too.
While we’re talking about Social Threads finds, I want to talk about this hat…
I’m a baseball cap girl, but I’m not a straw hat girl. I realllllllly wish I was, I just don’t think they look good on me. However, I think they look DARLING on everybody else! I’ve always admired these Tienda Palm straw hats, and I was so excited to see Social Threads start to carry them! The STMT10 code works on the hats too! The code will also work on the necklace.
This abstract print dress boasts vibrant primary colors. It’s got a ruffle hem, a flowy silhouette, and the cutest fit. This dress makes a statement with it’s bold print and bold colors, and the sleeves have a tiny fringe trim. On, and it’s lined! It does run large. I’m wearing a small and it’s still roomy, so I would definitely size down. Use STMT10!
Where are all my embroidery lovers at?
I love the high contrast of the white embroidery on the textured black fabric. I love the fit. I love the sleeves. The only thing I don’t love is the high neckline. I barely have a neck, so lower necklines are much more flattering on me, but it’s still a great dress that I know many of you are going to want to snag. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium and it is lined. Use STMT10!
And last from Social Threads, but definitely not least, this WEEKEND sweatshirt.
It’s obviously cute, but my goodness is it cozy. It’s lightweight, incredibly soft, and lined with the coziest fleece. I’ve only had it a week and I’ve already worn it twice, even thought it’s been quite hot here this week. I just love being cozy at home.
One day I wore it with denim shorts, another day I wore it with my MUST HAVE joggers. Use the code STMT10.
If you’re shopping today with my 10% OFF code and want to throw a couple more things in your cart…
Did y’all see my Kohl’s post on Wednesday? You can click HERE for my full review of this dress.

LADIES! Do you remember this collage?
Isn’t the dress lovely?
It’s from Reese Witherspoon’s Draper James collection, and I think it’s oh so fabulous. Wear it to a picnic, wear it to a brunch, or wear it to a garden wedding. Click HERE to see other adorable items from Reese’s collection.
I don’t know what it is exactly about this dress, but I’m absolutely taken with it. And right now, it’s ON SALE! I think it looks like a $220 from Anthropologie, but it’s ON SALE for only $54.60 right now! For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
Before we go, I’ve got some Nordstrom items you’ve seen before in styled posts, but now I’m going to show the pieces in mirror selfies.
This floral midi is giving mumu vibes, but I actually think it’s cool. It’s quite comfy, super easy to throw on, and you can dress it up or down. It runs big. For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
Maybe you remember this exact outfit from Monday’s post? And yes, the tops is the same print as the dress above. Click HERE if you want to read my full reviews of this outfit. The blouse is ON SALE! The blouse runs big, so definitely size down. I’m wearing my regular size 4 in the shorts.
This exact outfit was also in Monday’s post. Click HERE for all my thoughts and sizing tips.
This same top is cute with the paperbag shorts too!
And check it out with these ankle flare jeans. I actually gave these to my mom yesterday because I think they are just a touch too long on my 5’4″ frame. I think they are super cute, so I really wish they worked on me! In addition to this “smokey lilac”, they also come in white, sand, a soft icy blue, and an olive. They have the Ab Solution power mesh panels that we all know and love. My mom is a couple of inches taller than me, so I think they are going to be perfect on her.
I’m still wearing the heck out of the following…
These jeans have created lots of fanfare over the last several months. They are the most expensive jeans I’ve ever owned, I fell in love, and I’m still obsessed. They FEEL like they are expensive, which they should, BECAUSE THEY ARE! I’d heard tons of influencers sing the praises of Mother Jeans for quite awhile, and I I’m so glad I finally took the plunge. It helped that I had credit on Amazon, and that’s where I found them. They’ve got stretch in them, but they still have structure. They hold their shape, and they make me feel great. For size reference, I’m wearing a 27.
These studded sandals remind me very much of the studded Marc Fisher sandals that were so popular last year, but they are a fraction of the price. I think the studs make them a little bit edgy. For size reference, I sized up a 1/2. there are other sandals on the same link that don’t have studs, some are raffia, and most are brightly colored!
I can’t stop wearing this sweatshirt. I probably need to stop, BUT I CAN’T. I love it so much. It’s a bright springy color, it’s got a little bit of warmth, and it’s short sleeved! Seriously, spring perfection.
I really do LOVE a short-sleeved sweatshirt. I have several in my closet, and they are definitely pieces that I reach for often. This one is a relaxed fit and super soft with a sleeve that’s got some length (which I also love). For size reference, I’m wearing a medium, but I think I might prefer a small.
Wearing it with my MUST HAVE joggers is a total no brainer.
AND CHECK OUT THE MATCHING SET!
I absolutely love it paired with the sweat shorts.
For size reference, I’m wearing a petite small in the shorts. And remember, I’m wearing a regular medium in the sweatshirt. It’s quite oversized, so a small would definitely be fine. Look how cute it is with my favorite sneakers.
This lounge set is FABULOUS. Wayyyyyyy more fabulous that I thought it was going to be. And it’s not just for lounging!
I saw it on another influencer and thought it was adorable, but I wasn’t sure how it was going to look on me (because the other influencer is teeny tiny). WELL. I absolutely love it. I ordered a medium because that influencer was in a small (so I thought I would require a medium), but I’ve now ordered it in a small to compare the sizing. (I actually like how this set is a super relaxed fit, I just want to see the difference.) The small actually arrived, and I do like the fit of the small better!
It’s gauzy and soft and a perfect outfit to lounge in or even run around town in. I love it so so much.
This tee is one I already own in black. It’s a great tee and it launders perfectly. It’s super comfy and soft, and it has 4 way stretch and moisture wicking technology. It’s very roomy with a relaxed fit all over and drop shoulders. It also has UPF 30+ sun protection! I love this marsala color, but it also comes in white, black, and heathered grey. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium.
Let’s talk about the running shorts. I LOVE THEM. They are very comfy and really flattering, and I love how lightweight they are. But I’m going to be honest, they’re never going to get to live up to their full potential because the most activity they will ever see is a brisk walk. I wear a small in the MUST HAVE joggers, but I didn’t want these too tight or too short so I ordered a medium. I’m glad I did because I’m in love with the fit.
Also, I think the sneakers still hold the #1 spot for my favorite find so far of 2023! Because they have a bungee cord, you can slip them on and off without worrying about tying or untying laces, and this particular color combo is so fresh and cute. I wear them constantly, and I receive compliments from strangers just about every time I wear them. True to size for me!
THE SHORTS ARE ON SALE!
Both this Be Kind tee and these denim shorts are from last year. These shorts are a great medium wash with a 4″ inseam, and I think they have a lived in look. While not as stretchy as the Wit and Wisdom options, they still have some stretch. The denim is on the thicker side, but still comfy. I’m actually wearing a 4 in these, but think I might prefer the fit of the 6.
THE DRESS IS ON SALE!
Gold jewelry, block heel sandals, and a colorful clutch instantly elevate this basic white dress.
The dress has a bit of stretch to it, which I very much appreciate. You just slip it over our head to put it on, and there’s 1 button at the top of the neck in the back. I really prefer a dress without a zipper, so this is right up my alley. Both colors are fully lined, so you don’t have to worry about it being see thru and needing a slip.
The fabric is very lightweight and has a bit of a crinkly texture. It has a crew neck, a drop waist with a softly pleated skirt, and a subtle puff sleeve with elastic cuffs. The overall fit is relaxed, and the skirt is fun and flirty. For size reference, I’m wearing a small, but I think I’m going to prefer the fit of the medium (that’s already on its way to me). The small just felt a little snug across the back.
And the mirror selfie of the same dress…

On Monday’s post, I highlighted some shorts and pants that are great NON denim options…
That’s it for today, y’all!
