Hey, Ladies! Happy Friday! We all made it! #woohoo
I hope everybody had a great week.
Personally, I had a fantastic week, and I’m so excited to share the wonderful news:
MY SHEAFFER TOLD ME TO FACEBOOK ACCOUNT IS BACK!!!!
After almost 8 full weeks of not having control of my account…
I’M BACK, BABY!
After making the announcement on Instagram and on Facebook, I’ve had lots of questions about how I managed to regain control. Gosh, I wish I knew. Chris and I spent hours and hours over weeks and weeks watching videos, reading articles, and doing everything we learned to do to try to get the account restored. We started countless Facebook chats, opened lots of tickets, and had several friends and family members reach out to Facebook employees they knew to ask for their help. In addition to everything we did, I think we had at least 3 internal tickets filed by Meta employees. And still, nothing happened.
In the end, it seems that my agency was able to establish a line of communication and a contact that eventually led to my account getting restored. So, I’m not exactly sure how it happened, but I am of course incredibly grateful that I now have control again! I love the community we’ve created on Facebook, and I’m just so thrilled to finally be back with y’all. I really wish I had helpful tips or even a contact to pass along to those of you that are dealing with similar situations, but I don’t. I’m so sorry.
NOW LET’S GET TO TODAY’S POST!
I’ve got some new FABULOUS spring/summer outfits for y’all today! I’ve got looks for all sorts of occasions: for the beach, for a graduation, for a date night, for a girlfriend lunch, for running around town, for just about wherever you are going!
Today’s pieces come from Old Navy, Nordstrom, Amazon, J Crew Factory, J Crew, and Walmart. And you’ll see that there are a handful of pieces that you will see in several of the outfits. I wanted to show that the pieces are versatile and can be used in lots of different outfits!
OUTFIT #1
Are you dying over these patterned shorts? BECAUSE I’M DYING. I think they are so chic, and I of course love that they have an elastic waist across the back and you just pull them on. The entire look is classic.
v-neck tee / shorts / headband / earrings / bracelet stack / straw bag / sandals
OUTFIT #2
Pink and orange together is one of my favorite color combos for summer! This dress is DARLING, and I think it looks great styled with the turquoise and gold jewelry. And how about this heart bag!!! And get this… the dress is only $40 and the bag is only $30.
denim jacket / dress / heart bag / TB sandals / sunglasses / hoop earrings / turquoise necklace / bracelet stack
OUTFIT #3
I showed this top in an outfit collage last month. I love the colors, the floral pattern, and the relaxed fit. I ordered it, so I do know it runs large. The size small is still quite roomy on me. These paper bag shorts are a great alternative to denim shorts in the summer. They’re incredibly comfy and look great.
The cognac sandals are the ones I grabbed last year, and I haven’t been able to find anything new that I like as much. They are a great closet staple.
floral blouse / paper bag waist shorts / sunglasses / hoop earrings / heart necklace / cuff bracelet / cognac sandals
OUTFIT #4
Ladies! These pants are DARLING! I ordered them for myself, I already got them in, and I’ll be featuring them next week. I already took the pics and everything, and I’m telling you, they are too cute for words. So comfy, so flattering, and so unique! I styled them with my good ol’ Madewell tee, and I grabbed a new denim jacket. I really like the light wash and the bit of distressing. I wear a small in the pants and a medium in the tee and jacket.
denim jacket / v-neck tee / patterned pants (plus size HERE) / sunglasses / hoop earrings / heart necklace / cuff bracelet / cognac sandals
OUTFIT #5
When taking the pics for a post I have next week, I had just taken the pics for Outfit #4 when I realized I needed to switch out the pants for the paper bag shorts you see below. I paired the shorts with the heeled sandals for a great date night look. You’ll look like you have legs for days!
denim jacket / v-neck tee / paper bag waist shorts / hoop earrings / heart necklace / cuff bracelet / braided heeled sandals
OUTFIT #6
Now this outfit is fun, and no surprise here, I’m styling it with a denim jacket. Some days I love to just throw on a baseball hat and go, but with this outfit I’ll still look totally put together!
denim jacket / knit tank dress / American flag hat / sunglasses / stud earrings / bracelet stack / straw bag / sneakers
OUTFIT #7
This dress is totally classic, totally chic, and totally fabulous. I’ve shown how to style it two ways here: casually on the left and dressier on the right.
casual (on left): dress / raffia tote / tile bracelet stack / TB sandals
dressy (on right): dress / hoop earrings / bracelet stack / straw foldover clutch / wedges
OUTFIT #8
Now this “outfit” is right up my alley. And it would also make a great Mother’s Day gift basket!
pajamas / hair, face, skin bags / Mario Badescu facial sprays / Laneige lip mask / Kenra blow dry spray / magnifying mirror
OUTFIT #9
I’m completely smitten with this blouse. The square neck, the puff sleeves, and the floral pattern are all adorable! And the orange shorts are fun and vibrant. How great would this entire outfit look with a golden tan?
blouse / orange shorts / straw bag / sunglasses / hoop earrings / turquoise necklace / bracelet stack / TB sandals
OUTFIT #10
I already have this cover up in 3 colors, but I’d be lying if I told you I didn’t want the pink too. Because I totally do. I own these raffia earrings and think they’re great, and the flip flops have been a summer favorite for years. Strapless 1 pieces are my favorite kinds of swimsuits, and I think this floral pattern is so sweet.
cover up / swimsuit / hoop earrings / slide sandals / beach towel / sunglasses / Glow Screen
OUTFIT #11
I. LOVE. THIS. OUTFIT.
And yes, I’ve already ordered the blouse and the shorts. #obviously
blouse / shorts (old red) / straw shoulder bag / hoop earrings / layered necklace / bracelet stack / Dior lip oil / TB sandals
OUTFIT #12
I already own everything in this outfit collage except the swimsuit. I guess I need to fix that now because this swimsuit looks FANTASTIC.
swimsuit / raffia hoop earrings / heart bag / denim shorts / flip flops / bracelets / Glow Screen
OUTFIT #13
LADIES! THIS DRESS! Isn’t it so charming?
It’s from Reese Witherspoon’s Draper James collection, and I think it’s oh so fabulous. Wear it to a picnic, wear it to a brunch, or wear it to a garden wedding. Click HERE to see other adorable items from Reese’s collection.
tie waist dress / raffia hoop earrings / bag / Dior lip oil / pink nail polish / wedges
OUTFIT #14
This plaid popover is my kind of shirt, and I’m thinking it might be your kind of shirt too. 😉 These white jeans are ones you really need in your closet. Soft, stretchy, comfy, and flattering as all get out.

POPULAR OUTFIT COLLAGES FROM LAST MONTH
HOW CUTE IS THIS OUTFIT!
I mean, are you dying over the scalloped shorts? BECAUSE I’M DYING.
The sunglasses are the ones I’ve been wearing from Amazon for the past several years. I have them in black and tortoise, and I wear them in almost every outfit post you see. The raffia hoop earrings are lightweight, adorable, and super affordable from Amazon.
white tee / scalloped green shorts / necklace / raffia hoop earrings / sunglasses / straw bag / raffia sandals
I grabbed this floral blouse when I was at Nordstrom last week and love how easy breezy it is. It’s a super relaxed fit and it does run quite big, so I would definitely size down. I think it’s so fresh with the white jeans, the colorful earrings, and the hot pink clutch!
floral blouse / earrings/ white jeans / gold bracelets / lip oil / pink straw clutch / cognac Miller sandals
These shorts are sooooooo good. They have a 5″ inseam and are stretchy, comfy, and flattering like all things Wit and Wisdom. I have a feeling that these babies will start selling out as summer approaches, so get them while you can!

It’s a brand new product, but there are already 35 reviews and it looks like every single one of them might be 5 STARS.

Travel Style is something that I really put a lot of thought into. And while I of course want to look cute, above all else I want to be comfy! This outfit hits the mark!
The performance joggers are the joggers I named a must have back in the fall. I have several different colors, and I wear all of them constantly. They are so soft, so comfy, and so flattering. I wear a small in the joggers. I wear a medium in the tee and a small in the denim jacket. If you prefer a lighter wash, check out this new denim jacket. It looks fabulous.
The sneakers are probably my favorite purchase of 2023 thus far. They are just so dang cute! I love the colors, and I love that they are slip on with the bungee cord laces. True to size for me.
denim jacket / white tee / joggers / woven bag / carry-on suitcase / earrings / necklace / straw hat / sneakers
Okay, y’all! I’m laughing so hard. I’m also rolling my eyes SO HARD. See the earrings? Gorgeous, right?
WELL.
Don’t buy them.
When I saved them for the collage, I thought they were $45. However, they are in fact NOT $45. THEY ARE $450. OOPS. I knew they were stunning.
I grabbed the flutter sleeve top in orange for a future post, and I’m totally smitten. (The post went live a couple of weeks ago, and you can see me in the orange one HERE.) It’s easy, breezy, gauzy, and just lovely. I needed a medium in the shirt, the small was way too tight across the bust. These denim shorts are awesome. Click HERE to see them on me (look for the pic with a hot pink short sleeve sweatshirt).

Somebody set me down on a chaise lounge and give me a drink with a tiny umbrella. This outfit collage inspires me.
I think a black suit with a black cover up is such a chic look. Top it off with gold jewelry and a straw hat and you’re all sorts of ready for pool side lounging. The straw hat has excellent reviews. I’ve never had a hat like this, but the reviews are convincing me I need to give it a try!
The flip flops have been my GO TO summer flops for years and years. They are flexible, water resistant, and all around awesome.
cover up / halter swimsuit / bandeau swimsuit / gold hoop earrings / straw hat / Salty straw tote / flip flops
I love every single thing about this look.
I own (and LOVE) a red, white, and blue version of the pink striped suit. The fit is awesome and makes me feel great, and the little tie front is flirty and cute. The medium is perfect on me. The colorblock suit is one of my favorite color combos. Both suits are on SUPER SALE.
And how adorable is the sunshine tote. I can hardly believe it’s under $25! And the raffia earrings are just under $12.

Sheaffer, I have a very minimalistic closet, a few pairs of jeans, a few dresses and skirts, 4 pairs of shorts (I live 20 minutes from the beach go figure) and a few short sleeved shirts, long sleeved shirts and sweaters. Most of my clothes are navy and other shades of blue, white, black and very neutral. (Please keep reading this is NOT a negative comment :-)) I don’t do pink or ruffles, and in the above collages outfits #5 and 6 (with converse) are my jam.
Your blog has been one of my favorites for years even though we have different styles. BUT, just this week I ordered the maxi skirt you featured and LOVE it; one of my college girls was arriving home for the summer as I was trying it on and she chuckled then said, wait I kinda like that on you. My husband made a Laura Ingalls / little house on the prairie reference and then said it wasn’t totally bad just different from what I usually wear.
I clicked on the shorts in outfit 1 and think they are really cute, the pants in #4 I thought were cute too (although a little more than what I would usually spend, but with three kids in college and one in high school, clothing takes a back seat to education). Either the green scalloped shorts or the orange shorts in #9 are going in my cart as soon as I finish this comment. I have been reading your blog since the bachelor recap days and I’m finally adding some color to my closet (well, I think, I could get them and totally not like them BUT if paired with a plain white tee, fun earrings and converse I hope they work).

SANDI! Your comment totally made my day! Thank you for being such a loyal reader for so many years!!!!!! I LOVE the pants in #4 and can hardly wait to show them on the blog on Monday. They’re SO CUTE on!!! xoxo

Excellent post! Lots of affordable AND size-inclusive goodies! Outfit #9 was my favorite – I thought for sure that top was Anthropologie and out of my budget – I was delighted to see that it was from Kohl’s! Keep it coming Sheaffer!!

Isn’t that top SO CUTE, Mary! I got it too!!!!! xoxo
