And I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that in about 3 minutes lots of you girls are going to have a new shirt too.
#iknowyougirls
#youaremypeople
I’ve had it since Monday, and I’ve been itching to get it on the blog.
I even teased the shirt last night on instagram, and I know I had most of you at “navy stripes”….
Now before I show you the WOW factor,
take a minute to fall in love with the navy stripes and the high neck.
I love some of my tees to have a high neck.
I had fun pairing the stripes with my pink jeans (option HERE ON SALE with great reviews!), denim jacket (options HERE), and a colorful necklace (sold out, sorry!) the first time I wore it.
In addition to the stripes and the high neck, there’s also…wait for it……….
LACE.
I know.
So, are you intrigued?
WHERE? WHERE IS THE LACE YOU ASK?
CHECK. OUT. THE. SLEEVES.
For size reference, I’m wearing a small.
(please pay no attention to the mom jeans it’s paired with on Nordstrom’s site)
Please take an appropriate amount of time to “ooh and ahh”, and then move along.
So, are you already sold on the shirt?
Are you ordering it before even finishing the post for fear that it’s going to sell out?
OR, are you a little more skeptical?
Well…for the skeptics out there…you are about to get to see the shirt in approximately 23,000 outfits.
Maybe one of them will convince you.
I’ve already worn it twice (duh), but I also just played around with it to show you different ways to wear it.
So you’ve already seen the first time I wore it (with my pink jeans and denim jacket).
The 2nd time I wore it I went a totally different direction.
I big puffy heart LOVE this look.
thought about the post I did awhile back pairing plain t’s with fancy
jewelry (you can find it HERE), and I knew that these items would be
perfect to do that with.
And I got a facebook message this morning from a sweet reader, Jamie Sybert, I was able to put this amazing deal on the blog!
Click HERE for all choices, and there are lots!
My pictures do not do these wedges justice, but they are fabulous.
I have a fun little Friday surprise for you!

Okay. Back to the shirt. You know, since I’m cuh-razy.
Look how cute it is with MY NEW WEDGES, my FATIMA NECKLACE c/o Goriana and Griffin, and my NEON PINK EARRINGS c/o Kendra Scott!
My white jeans are actually from Target several years ago, and I love the way they fit. I forgot I had them because they were too small for me last summer, but I found them again and can wear them and actually breathe at the same time. Which is a total bonus. 😉
Love my pink belt? Me too! Find a similar one HERE.
And then I threw it on with jeans again (this time my MUST HAVE SKINNY JEANS ON SALE NOW!!!, instead of my cuffed jeans), and I switched out my
wedges for my MICHAEL KORS MOCCASINS.
So, now that you know that I’m clearly head over heels for the shirt, I want to tell you a couple of reasons WHY I’m so crazy about it.
*I hate to state the obvious, but NAVY STRIPES. Hello.
*Most of my tees for spring and summer are scoop neck or v-neck, I like that this
one has a high neck.
*Also, the weight of this tee makes it perfect even for summer. It’s thin (which I normally wouldn’t like), but I do like it for this because I plan on wearing it all summer long.
*I absolutely adore the lace.
*Love a 3/4 sleeve.
And listen, if you don’t love your arms, this tee is the perfect answer for you for summer.
It’s light weight AND it covers your arms.
And purely fyi, I also plan on wearing it the following ways:
*with my dressy cropped khaki pants, my putty wedges, and a mint green necklace*
*with my super light powder blue shorts and my hot pink Kendra Scott earrings*
*with my kelly green elastic waist skirt from J Crew Factory and colorful accessories*
*and if I had a neutral pencil skirt, I would totally wear it with that with leopard heels*
HOW FIERCE WOULD THAT BE? That’s how Shay would wear it for sure!
I’m telling you. It will go with everything.
OH WAIT!
I just had another braistorm!
stripes+lace+camo
Yeah, baby.
Erika and Cassie – this is totally how you ladies would wear it!!!
So sorry, but I can’t find any comparable camo pants.
NEON PINK EARRINGS / FATIMA NECKLACE/ PUTTY WEDGES
The fatima necklace is so delicate and pretty, and I’m just so glad I have it!
And because I am a complete and total spaz, I went ahead and threw an outfit together showing how I would wear it in the fall.

exact military jacket HERE and great plus size version HERE / exact boots HERE
See! PERFECT for fall too!!!!!
Okay.
So here’s the deal.
I called Nordstrom to check on the stock of this shirt, and I was told the following:
“In XS and L we have decent inventory, not great. In S and M we have good inventory.”
That’s a direct quote.
So really, your guess is as good as mine.
“Decent” might mean 15 and “good” might mean 30.
Here’s hoping that “decent” means at least 50 and that “good” means at least 100.
Because I’m telling you, this shirt rocks.
And you need it.
Here’s a recap of some of the looks.
I mean, come on.
And I’m totally interested…what’s YOUR favorite look?
If you’re not a fan of navy, then you can get THE PINK ONE!
And if you are Amy Kleis, you can get both! Love ya Amy! 😉
That’s it for today ladies!
Happy Weekend Everybody!
xoxo,
Sheaffer 🙂
p.s.
I did this once before with another favorite shirt.

We had a seriously funny convo about denim shorts. 😉 Maybe I’ll share the details later!
She was in need of a new pair, and I suggested she head to LOFT because I had seen so many great options online when making the above collage.
And EVERYBODY needs a great pair of denim shorts!
Well, ended up taking my own advice, and I fell in love with the patch pocket pair (bottom right)!

LOFT shorts seem to all run big, so consider ordering a size down.
For size reference, mine are a 2.
If you remember, I’ve already tried on some of this stuff and I loved it!
Embroidered tie neck blouse HERE. LOVE.
Marisa black cropped pants HERE.
The pants are perfectly stretchy and have a nice polished look.
They could be dressed down with a tee and flat sandals or flats, or they
could be dressed up with a silky shirt and wedges or even heels!
These pants are greatness.
If I had an office job, I would definitely buy these in the dark khaki color too, and maybe even the white.
They are very flattering and just the perfect length for all different types of shoes.
was a good match for the chevron pants below. And then I absolutely
loved it.
The wide band on the bottom and the splits on the sides makes it
different than any other sweaters I have, and I thought it just hung
nicely too.

chevron striped cropped jeans HERE
I bought two pairs this year (light khaki and a light blue), and I have a
dark khaki and a black pair from the last couple of years too.

You did an entire post on a shirt…and it soooooo deserved it's own post! It has stripes. It is navy. It has lace. It looked fabulous with everything. I puffy heart this shirt too!!!!

You totally called me out. I was one of those people that bought it before I even finished reading the post. I've been burned before when I waited and then when I decided I couldn't live without an item, it was sold out. So excited about my fancy new shirt! Thanks Sheaffer!
Tab & Erika says
Love this post!!! You had me at lace sleeves!!! And for sure it's look adorable with camo pants!!
Anonymous says
Love it!!!! Thanks for showing many different ways to style it!!
Wendy says
I have one question for you…..how long does it take for you to put away all your clothes/jewelry/shoes that you put on for all your photos? I love all the outfits (the fall outfit with mustard jeans and military jacket being my fav), but the entire time I was reading your post, I kept saying "wow, that looks good and now she has to rehang or refold those pants and put shoes back and put away all that different jewelry". Maybe it is just the neat freak side of me that you don't even think about. =)
Sheaffer says
Hi Wendy! If I do it as I go, it doesn't take that long. HOWEVER, when I'm in a hurry and just throwing stuff on the floor, I am cussing myself when I get back home and have to deal with it all!!!!! It's the jewelry that's the hardest probably!
xoxo,
Sheaffer 🙂
Lorie says
I want that shirt like now
Sarah says
haha Wendy, you're funny. Love this post Sheaffer! Only you could do a whole post on one shirt and make it interesting the whole time! Love how you styled it for the fall!
Terrie Mathison says
Great post! Love the shirt…but thinking..why am i thinking??? I just need to buy! I did pull the trigger on the hunter boots — finally! Love the $88 price – got Clementine! I could so have worn those yesterday!
Kim says
Phooey. I "pinned" several of the outfit ideas and read all the way through the post. By the end I was determined to add it to my bag….only to find out it does not come in XL. This happens more often than I like, but if still gave me some great ideas on how to style my other striped shirts. So…thanks for that!
Lana says
Oh my goodness…that shirt! Gorgeous. I think I might have to get it – my birthday was last week, so I can still count it as a birthday present, right? I loved Wendy's question above – I'm always amazed at the amount of time it must take you to show us all those outfits. Your dedication to helping us all look good is appreciated! Have a great weekend.
Darcy says
Seriously, I love and appreciate how much work you put into each post!! I think all the outfits you put together totally justifies any purchase you make. I mean look how many outfits you were able to create with this top in just one blog post!? The options seriously are endless!! Hope you have a great weekend!

barteliz says
Hi Shaeffer! I'm so thrilled to see the alert on the Hunter boots! I'd been waiting to snag the boots until after I moved (one less thing to move with!). Do they run true to size? I'm normally a size 7 in boots. Thanks!
Sheaffer says
I think you should be good in a 7! If you were a 1/2 size I would tell you to go down. But if you're a true 7 you should be good to go!
xoxo,
Sheaffer 🙂
Morgan says
Love the striped shirt! I'm a sucker for navy stripes. But…is the lace itchy? I've found that lace sometimes irritates my skin.
Sheaffer says
Hi Morgan! The lace is not itchy at all! It's soft! You'll love it!
xoxo,
Sheaffer 🙂
kristine says
Oh Schaeffer, I just have to say I LOVE your blog! I now look forward to getting up in the morning, and getting dressed. I am finally able to buy regular clothes (not maternity) for myself again and feel cute! : ) I also love that you're an SLP…I'm a Sped teacher myself! Looking forward to the summer as I"m sure you are! I have seriously been living in the must have denim jacket…so comfy! I also really love this striped shirt!
Sandy says
