I tried on soooooooooooo many wedges and had a blast!
I can’t say the same for the sweet girl that was helping me at Nordstrom.
Poor thing.
She really worked for her money that today.
I wanted to buy like 4 different pairs.
But I didn’t.
I’m the picture of restraint.
I only bought 1 pair.
But fyi: I am already campaigning for another pair for my birthday that is next month.
😉
If you are a Nordstrom person, get excited because every single pair I feature today is from Nordstrom. If you’re not a Nordstrom person, you need to be.
Re-evaluate your stance. 🙂
Speaking of Nordstrom, there’s something I’ve been meaning to add to a post for awhile now, and today seems as good of a time as any.
There are lots of you out there who want me to only post Nordstrom things.
I get it, their free shipping and free returns are AMAZING and their customer service is
THE BEST ANYWHERE.
Others of you want me to stop posting Nordstrom so much and post other stores.
(Some of you just aren’t Nordstrom people, and that’s okay!)
HOWEVER,
Nordstrom is where I shop, and this is a blog about what I wear, so I will continue to post Nordstrom.
I will also continue to post LOFT , GAP, and Anthropologie.
Why?
Because it’s what I wear!
I’m a busy wife and mom, I work 3 days per week as a Speech Therapist, and I blog.
So, at this stage in my life, I’m going to continue to post items from where I actually shop.
It just makes my life easier!
And I’m all about making my life easier! 🙂
It doesn’t mean an item I find from another source won’t find it’s way onto the blog…because if I LOVE something, I PROMISE YOU I will put it on the blog and scream and shout about how much I love it and how much you NEED it no matter where it is from.
So, that’s my disclaimer for the day!
Things I love (no matter where they are from) will find their way onto the blog.
It’s just that most of what I love comes from Nordstrom, LOFT, GAP, and Anthropologie.
🙂
If you are a wedge person, then you are going to love today’s post.
If you aren’t a wedge person, you need to re-evaluate your stance. Again.
You SHOULD BE a wedge person.
If you’re not a wedge person, it’s usually because 1 of 3 reasons:
1) You think they are going to be uncomfortable.
2) You think you won’t be able to walk well in them.
3) You are already tall and you don’t want to make yourself taller.
The only “reason” I give any validity to is #3. #1 and #2 are dependent upon the wedge you get, and I PROMISE there is a wedge out there for everybody that is comfy and easy to walk in.
Want to see a graphic that will get you all sorts of excited for wedge season?
Well, here ya go.

Wedges SERIOUSLY make you taller, prettier, and skinnier.
🙂
All right!
Let’s get this wedge party started!
I should tell you that I’m not showing you every pair I tried on. If they weren’t cute, or if they were wayyyyyyyy too tall, or if they weren’t comfy….they didn’t make the cut.
Now before I try on the first new pair, you must know that I still endorse THESE with every fiber of my being. YOU NEED THESE WEDGES, I PROMISE!
But if you already have THESE wedges, then you can get another pair from today’s post.
If you don’t have THESE (I recommend the putty), I would suggest that you get these 1st!
Or just in addition to a pair you get today.
Here they are on my friend Erika! Try to block out the seriously DARLING family and just focus on the wedges. 😉 Soooooooo cute, right?
(They kind of look like they have a green tint in this picture, but they don’t AT ALL. They are a very neutral taupe and go with EVERYTHING.)
I promise you (as does everybody that has them) that you will LOVE them.
I’m here to enable your shoe buying problem.
You’re welcome. 🙂
Right out of the gate, these next ones were the first ones I put on.
LOVE.
THEY are classic and I love how they combine cognac and black together. And the rope detailing on the wedge was so cute.
They were very comfortable and not too high
These are the 2nd pair I put on, and I was TOTALLY loving THEM!
Like I was am CRAZY about ’em. And there are 4 color options, including a black and cognac pair, I just happened to really like this light color combo of the camel and bone.
Something about the light color combo was just different and fresh!
I didn’t know if I was going to love the thick strap across the top once I put them on, but I did!
It made the unique, and they were quite comfortable.
Need some leopard in your life?
Well, THESE are great, especially if you want a really tall wedge.
But beware, these babies are seriously TALL.
Their info says they are the same height as some of the others I tried on, but I don’t agree. I was very comfortable walking in all of the others, but these were noticeably more difficult to walk in. But again, if you are used to heels and tall shoes, you would probably be okay.
So even though they were too tall for me to feel comfortable walking in them, Shay bought them. She can manage a tall wedge without any problem.
And Shay, I would like to take this opportunity to say “I told you so.”
The day I tried them on I called her and told her that she needed them. She said she had seen them the day before and didn’t get them. Later that week she tried them, and she bought them.
Told ya so. 🙂
These next ones are very trendy.
The cage look is very right now and these were my favorite cage option I saw.
THEY have gold accents and come in 3 different color choices.
Check out THESE jade beauties! Don’t you just love the color?
THESE are another option with some color AND they are 25% off!
Sadly, they didn’t have them in the store for me to try on.
I usually prefer a wedge with a strap on the back, but these are too cute!
There are only 2 reviews, but both are 5 stars.
Here is one of them:

am in love with these shoes. So cute and comfortable. I am 6 months
pregnant and was able to wear these all day Sunday. They are great
quality, run true to size, and I love the cork platform. I bought in
black and would love another color. These will be a summer staple!
They didn’t have THESE in stock, but I love them too!
In addition to the summer wedges,
I also found myself drawn to the new spring and summer booties that are so “in” right now!
Click HERE for this cognac pair that I was a total fan of.
I posted them on facebook and got mixed reviews on them, but I REALLY liked them.
Click HERE for a caged pair that comes in this honey color as well as black.
Click HERE for the below bootie with lots of great reviews!
The sales girl told me they were one of the most popular shoes in the store!
It also comes in camel and blue.
So, the above were the ones I tried on at the store.
Now I’m going to show you some that I ordered and were sent to the house.
Everybody knows about my Putty MUST HAVE Wedges from last year (click HERE).
So,
when I saw that Callisto (the makers of my Must Have) came out with
some new wedge choices, I ordered them back in January to try them out!
I was soooo hoping I was going to love one of them just as much as I
loved my first.
I liked them fine, and they were definitely comfortable, they just didn’t make me scream and shout like my putty
wedges. Still, they were nice, and they might make you scream and
shout!
I
actually LOVED the color combination and really liked how the looked A
LOT! However, they weren’t nearly as comfortable as I had hoped. They
kind of pinched my pinky toe. Boo. Because otherwise I LOVED them.
I’m just not one that is willing to sacrifice comfort for style.
Still, I thought there cute enough that they still needed to be shown!
I wanted to love them, but they were kind of gapey (just act like it’s a word) around the toe area.
Still, if you LOVE your other Callisto’s so much and are dying for another pair, I thought you might be interested.
There are also these Callistos with snakeskin HERE that are super similar to the MUST HAVE pair. They come in Putty and Black!
And if you’re new here, make sure you check out my spring and summer flats post I did a couple of weeks ago HERE.
I think it’s a great post ifIdosaysomyself. 🙂

Yay wedges! Love them. And in my family, I'm the shortest at 5'9". My 14 yo daughter is 6'1" and my hubs is 6'9" so I say BRING ON THE TALL! (and thank you for doing the trying on and such for me. i hate shopping.)
Mix and Match Mama says
This post was about my first love…wedges. Seriously. I stopped and read this post like 5 times. I must have a wedge fetish. Now I'm thinking I need the cage ones. Yes, I said "need". I'm sure I need them. Loved this post. Loved it. A lot. Loved it. Happy Friday!! See you at Nordstrom this morning…I'll be in the wedge department.
Beth says
I love the stores in your posts and wouldn't change a thing. I don't want to run all over the place to shop. Thanks, Shea. Great blog.
SarahN says
Although I probably can't justify a pair of wedges right now, I love your pics! Did you mention which pair you bought?
Merrie K. says
Great wedge roundup! At first I was like "wow look at all the shoes she has"!. I looove nordstroms for their clothes, shoes and purses…you are right…if you don't know them, you need to! I also agree with posting where you shop. I don't have kids, but I know what shops fit me and how to make them work if they don't, so I think it make sense. This is my first time visiting your blog, so I can't to check out the other posts! Since we shop at the same stores, you may want to check out mine: http://www.PetiteCareerGirl.com.
Take care!

Thanks for the blog love this morning!!! Loved the wedge hunt!!

First, amen to the Nordstrom disclaimer. I mean. People get all up in arms b/c I don't post cheaper stores. I DONT SHOP AT CHEAP STORES. LOL. My blog, my stuff. Anyhooo…. I also want to Amen the wedge stance. They are so comfortable and easy to walk in compared to any other heels. And who wouldn't want to be taller, anyway? So… finally, THANKS for featuring me in your outfit collage. I LOVE those wedges. They are Stuart Weizmans and I got them on 6PM years ago. Best. Investment. EVER. xoxo
Meagan @ The Clanahan Fam says
Girl, first of all your disclaimer cracked me up. You must get some emails, huh? 🙂 I LOVE where you shop – and agree, you've got to go with what is convenient and works in this stage of your life. I'm a Loft and Nordstroms girl – mainly because I can go to the Loft right by my house without having to drag two 3 year olds to the mall. And Nordstroms, because, hello? No risk. I've been on a self-imposed spending freeze for 2 months now but it's coming to a close. First purchase, those Steve Madden wedges. I'm now dreaming of all things spring & summer!
Sabrina says
I am sort of crazy about the jade and cognac wedges and for some reason I'm very intrigued about the first pair of Callisto wedges you tried on. The taupe pair with the dark wedge! LOVE them!!!
Alison @ Get Your Pretty On says
I'm in the market for some snake print wedges, just got some flats and am amazed at how much I can wear them with!

So you make me wish I had more money and more wedges. That is all. Thank you!! 😉

I'm #3. Six-feet tall (and a smidge). I just wanted to throw it out there to the other tall girls that Toms have a gorgeous wedge with a peep-toe that is very comfortable and will only add 3" to your height. They aren't as cute as the strappy wedges, but they don't have a platform and therefore won't make you look as tall as Kareem Abdul Jabbar.
Peggy Bowes says
We're all dying to know– which pair of shoes did you buy? I gave up shopping for Lent, but I still have to read your blog. Maybe after Easter some of these shoes will still be left in my size and on sale.
Lori says
Sooo….which pair did you end up with? They are all super cute!
kristinwithani says
I love your disclaimer. For real, Nordstrom is the best. I grew up going to the cafe with my grandmother, too.

I'm headed to Nordstroms today to make a return and its going to be really hard not to look at ALL these wedges! Great choices! Also, I really want to check out that military jacket you've been posting. One more thing…I am relatively new to your blog and had no idea you were an SLP too! I new I liked you for a reason!
Lauren says
I think the comment I just posted (scoomies) was posted under my husband's gmail account…oops!!

I now own 3 of the flats (including my first pair of Chucks… EVER), the must have wedges in putty and the fuchsia (Hello there, 50% off!!!) and now the leopard wedges. Might be adding those Jade beauties to my closet later today 🙂
Katie @ Team Skelley says
I started out this post thinking that I was too tall for wedges but you got me with the two-tone – and then the caged wedges, gasp! They need to be in my closet. 😀
Lauren Chudzik says
I can't believe I never bought them last year, so I just caved and bought the must have wedges in putty and I can't wait for them to arrive! We're going on an 8 day cruise in may and I figure they'll look great with lots of my dresses for dinner so I won't have to bring so many shoes (totally justifies the purchase, right?!)
Kim Kauffman says
Oh I love those first two pairs. So cute! I just happen to be heading to Nordstrom today so I will have to see what they have in our store. Hope you have a great weekend! 🙂
Sarah E @ theteacherswife.com says
Love all these cute wedges and I totally have wedge envy….but I fall into category #3! I'm already 5'11'' and those wedges would make me tower over the world! My short friends tell me to just go for it, but I'm not ready yet! 🙂
Darcy says
I totally understand your Nordstrom devotion! I ordered a pair of sandals that were a size to small online and called to exchange them and the guy was incredibly helpful!! He was like, "oh gosh those shoes are cute but its no good that they are the wrong size. Lets fix that ASAP" hahah so helpful! Have you ever shopped at DSW for shoes? Not sure if they have them where you live but they are my other go-to for shoes!! They have an amazing rewards program and killer clearance racks!

This wedge post makes me so happy! Loved all the wedges you featured, but I am still partial to my putty must have wedges. They are perfection!!! BTW, you have pretty feet! 🙂
Have a great weekend!
mel @ the larson lingo says
Loving all these wedges you posted, especially the first pair you tried on!!
Why do I have to be so tall?!?!? I just can't wear wedges….I am an amazon woman if I wear them since they make me over 6 feet. #tallgirlproblems 🙂
Amy says
Love lots of those! I bought a pair of Toms wedges thinking they'd be as comfortable as the booties but I felt like I was teetering on them so I returned them. Sad thing was, they were on sale! Very disappointing. Thanks for doing the shopping for us!
Sarah says
I will never understand anyone that isn't a nordie's girl…that store is the best, has the best clothes, best return policy best free shipping. The.End.
And Loft comes in a close second, Love that store too. I actually have never bought anything for myself at Anthro, perhaps I need to change my stance on that one.
Cathy says
I'd cut off my arm to have a Nordstrom closer than 2+ hours away. I call it "heaven". A fellow wedge lover here. I highly recommend trying the Michael Kors Giovanna. Tried them the other day and wanted to hate them…but i LOVED them. Now, if we could just get rid of the foot of snow we have here.
perfectlyimperfectsharon says
I have two pair of the "must-have wedges" (putty and black) and a few more pair from Nordstrom (open back) that I got on clearance in the fall (from summer). Can't wait to start wearing them all again… our spring break just started, and we are going to Scottsdale, so I will be packing the putty ones for sure! And my white Chucks… and my leopard SE flats… ha! AND my must-have jeans, must-have shirt (the Pleione one), etc… 🙂 Oh, and some of those cute Target tankinis. Can't wait to see more of your spring/summer clothes, because I just found your blog this past Sept/Oct, and haven't seen your cute summer ideas yet, since I started with you with fall items.
AND – I totally prefer Nordstrom now. You just can't beat their free shipping/free returns. A button fell off of my Miz Mooz boots last week… I contacted Nordstrom and they overnighted me a NEW pair (for our trip)!!! THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! Even after I had worn them for 2-3 months! I won't pay shipping anymore. Nordys has totally spoiled me! 🙂
Nadine Skinner says
I love wedges, especially the must have wedges in putty. They are the best! Today after a morning of meetings, I popped into Nordstrom Rack and found myself in the shoe department of course. You will never believe what I saw. A pair of the must have wedges in putty in my size (9). I almost could not believe my eyes. The tag said "worn and refinished." That made me wonder who in their right mind would return the must have wedges!! Anyway, they were marked down to only $14.99. I didn't buy them as I already have a pair, but I was so taken aback. Wow.
Amy Kleis says
Great Post!!! Didn't get a chance to read this morning, but I knew we had the same brain wave pattern giong, cuz the sales guy wouldn't let me leave without getting the jade pair…..They are SUPER SUPER adorable!!! I did try on the leopard pair "the I told you so pair" LOL, but word of caution, if you have a wide foot, not soo good 🙁

Love your 4th pair of wedges, that look the best on you:) <3

I just got a pair of Tom's almost identical to the ones in your shoes for cuffed jeans collage, and they are awesome! Even more comfortable than regular toms (more padding), the espadrille is so cute, and they scream Spring! Perfect! LOVE the wedges, and I am dying to know which ones you got too, but I'm sure we will find out in time :). Stick to your guns on your shopping places, it's YOUR blog!!!
