The Little White Dress

Every woman knows about “The Little Black Dress” (or LBD as many call it).  By definition, a little black dress is simple, classic, versatile, and easily dressed up or down.  Many people think it’s a rule of fashion for every woman to own one, and I happen to agree.  I actually have 2 in my closet that I love…one is around 3 years old, and the other is over 5 years old.  They are both classic and have served me well for many different occasions through the years.  This year, for the first time ever, I purchased a little white dress.

So, today in Part II of Dresses with Nordstrom, I’m talking about The Little WHITE Dress. #thatsright #imbreakingtherules #whiteisthenewblackforspringandsummer

I present to you….the LWD.  Please take the time to admire the scallops and ooh and ahh appropriately.

For size reference:  I’m wearing a medium in the dress (I sized up), a small in the jacket (true to size), and I sized up 1/2 a size in the cork wedges that are NOW ON SALE!

There are lots of lovely little details on this particular white dress, and it can be dressed up or down  quite easily.  I dressed it down with my jacket on this day, even though I was still wearing wedges and carrying a clutch!

The white is just pretty, feminine, and fresh!  And you know my heart goes pitter patter for scallop detailing.  Just look at the bottom of the dress! I added some pops of color in the accessories with THIS necklace (everybody needs one, and there are TONS of colors to choose from)…

…and THIS clutch!  Y’all, the clutch is fab.

And the cork wedges (order 1/2 a size up) and the watch are both still on sale!

It was cool on this particular day, so the MUST HAVE jacket was perfect to throw on.  Let’s be real though, it doesn’t need to be cool outside for this baby to be part of my outfit.  #ifreezeeverywhere #itsalwayscoldinside

So girls, I’m thinking that we should all make the LITTLE WHITE DRESS a staple in all of our closets!  I love mine and know I’m going to be wearing it all spring and summer long, but if you need more choices, you are in luck!  Nordstrom has a HUGE selection of Little White Dresses.

I’m really loving THIS one.  It’s cute on it’s own, but would be darling under a denim jacket as well.  And depending on your jewelry and shoes, it could be dressed up or down too!
