FRIDAY FAVORITES!!!

FAVORITE #1:  These Wedges

Yep, THESE wedges are now officially my new favs.

When I first talked about them, I had just worn them around the house and tried them on with outfits for the blog.  Now that I’ve worn them out of the house twice now, I can safely report that my love for them has deepened.

They are comfy as all get out.

And for the record, I don’t do uncomfortable shoes.  Like NEVER.

This neutral color is perfection, but they come in other colors also (if you’re interested).

The rope detailing and stitching is too cute.

And they are the perfect heel height.  Not too high, not too low.

If you remember from when I talked about them the first time, they come in two styles:

FAVORITE #2:  This Kid, This Dog, and Baseball Season
These two are best good friends.
I love a good Forrest Gump reference.
Carter absolutely adores Scout, and he actually tells him so all the time.
I constantly hear him saying things like “Scout, you’re such a cute dog.” or “Scout, you are just the most perfect dog ever.”  It melts my heart each and every time.

Carter “played” t-ball last season, but I use the term “played” loosely.
He was on a team.
And he hit some (kind of), and he threw some (kind of), and he wore a uniform.
But good news!
 I have high hopes for this season!
We are only 2 practices in, the coaches are doing a great job, and the kids are having a ton of fun.  Yay!
Chris has been working with him between seasons, and we’ve seen quite the improvement in his batting!  (Wish we could say the same about throwing…but that will come too.  Eventually.  Right?)
Let’s just enjoy the improvement in his batting right now.  🙂

FAVORITE #3: My Fatima Necklace and a STEAL option!
You saw my Fatima necklace in my orange, white and leopard post on Monday (seen HERE).
I actually wear it a ton in the spring and summer because
it just seems to be the perfect length for spring and summer necklines.


And here it is again in an outfit you are going to get to see highlighted next week……

It’s an AWESOME necklace from Gorjana and Griffin, which Nordstrom started carrying some time last spring.  I have SEVERAL of their pieces (including my absolute favorite circle hoop earrings HERE).  The quality of  my Gorjana items is excellent.
As soon as I saw this “steal necklace” online this week, I ordered it, but sadly it hasn’t arrived.
I will obviously let you know once it’s here and will do a full review, but until then, I present to you the very fancy (except not) Splurge vs. Steal graphic!

I know they aren’t EXACTLY alike, but they are pretty dang close!

FAVORITE #4:  My Bossy Readers
So the below maxi dress and denim jacket look was on the blog on Wednesday.
And to remind you, I had decided I was going to return the dress because I didn’t want to bother with getting it hemmed.
Well, y’all are a bossy bunch (I don’t know where in the world you get it from?!?), and everybody seemed to think I should get it hemmed, keep it, and wear it for the rest of my days.
So, I went to put it on facebook last night, and when linking the dress and the jacket, I found out that the jacket just went 20% OFF!  Nordstrom is price matching (I’m not sure with who), so the deal could go off at anytime, but for now it’s ON SALE and fully stocked and there 
are a couple of sizes left.

For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the dress and am almost 5’4″.  I’m wearing a small in the jacket too (my normal size), but it is very fitted (which I like in this particular jacket).  Many people have told me that they preferred the fit when they sized up so they would have a little more room.

FAVORITE #6: Reader e-mails 


I have a very interactive readership (y’all are THE BEST!), and I’m so thankful for all of the e-mails, blog comments, and facebook messages I receive from you ladies.  
One particular e-mail this week made me laugh (in a good way!).  Sadly, when I went to find the e-mail so I could cut and paste it in this post, I couldn’t locate it.  
Basically, one of you ladies wanted more information about the “floral top hanging in the background of the picture where you were wearing the orange scalloped top.” WOW!  That’s a SUPER observant lady right there!


Do you see it hanging back there?  Barely peeking out?
Somebody’s got a good eye!

So it appears that since getting THESE jeans (I got them when doing research for Part II of my Nordstrom Denim series), I might have developed a teensy tiny little obsession with them.
I can’t help it.
And I think this particular pair looks great with flats!
I’ve only had them a couple of weeks, and I’ve already worn them several times.  Please don’t ask me what “several” means.  I might be too embarrassed to answer.
I will say this.
The number is more than 5 and less than 7.
But that’s all I’m saying.

So….thanks to this newest pair….I have yet another pair of jeans that are UNDER $100 (Under $60 actually!) that I absolutely abuse by wearing them constantly.
What can I say?  It’s what I do.
I find something I like…..and I wear it, and wear it, and then wear it again.

FAVORITE #7: A GREAT DEAL
