Shay and I also used to do something called Shopping with Sheaffer and Shay where we would hit the mall, try a ton of stuff on, eat tacos, try more stuff on, and then end it with a Starbucks.
This was from one of our shopping trips a couple of years ago. This particular shopping trip was EPIC because it was when I found the blardigan!
Take a moment if you need to.

Well, today is going to be a little bit different because I didn’t actually go to the mall.
I just shopped at home online.
In my blardigan actually. 😉
Because DUH.
I ordered quite a few things, and I’m going to show y’all things that I liked and kept!
True to form, everything today is from Nordstrom……which is TIMELY because today starts
TRIPLE POINTS AT NORDSTROM!!!!
WooooooooooooHoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
If you have a Nordstrom debit or credit card, that means you are earning points towards a Nordstrom Note ($20 gift card) 3x as fast! For every dollar you spend, you will be earning 6 points!!!!
(Click HERE to learn more about Nordstrom cards if you are interested.)
But to be honest, even though the $20 Nordstrom Notes are fun, that’s not why I have the card.
I have the card so I can shop the Anniversary Sale a week before the general public.
In my eyes, the card is NECESSARY for that reason alone.
Yes, I said NECESSARY.
And I meant it.
😉
SO….WHAT WAS I SHOPPING FOR ME DURING MY ONLINE SHOPPING “TRIP”?
I didn’t really have an agenda (except for make-up, which you’ll see in a second)…..so the rest of my haul was just random things that I happened upon and decided to try out!
With free shipping and free returns, I’m willing to just give things a try without any hesitation.
#thankyoumr.nordstrom
Much to my surprise, THIS lace top found it’s way to my cart.
And then to my heart.
Ha!
It’s sweet, feminine, and just plain pretty!
I don’t know how I stumbled upon it, but when I did, it totally caught my eye.
It’s ONLY $32, so I didn’t really have high hopes, but I LOVE it.
I ordered it for a fun top to wear with jeans (which you’ll see in a minute), but as soon as I took it out of the box, I thought it would also be great dressed up with a pair of nice black pants and heels!
And if you aren’t one that wears an Easter dress to church on Easter morning, this could be
great for you!
Flutter Sleeve Lace tee HERE / find the exact pants in this post HERE/
earrings HERE / similar black patent peep toe heels HERE / similar watch HERE
Isn’t it pretty and springy with the black pants and the patent heels!?!
It was a simple look and I loved it!
This angle gives you a great look at the pretty flutter sleeves and the lace detailing.
It’s stretchy and comfy too!
For size reference, it says to size up, so I did! I’m wearing a medium and it was perfect.
I cannot believe this top is only $32!
(I feel now is as good a place as any for a disclaimer. I have no idea what the stock of this top is, but I’m guessing it will be gone by like 10:00 a.m.)
Consider yourself warned. 🙂
Find the top HERE.
If you are in the market for a great pair of black pants, I’ve got a couple of options for you!
Click HERE for a similar pair of Michael Kors pants that are only $69.50 and they come in regular and petite! They have great reviews!
Click HERE for a similar pair of plus size ankle pants(these have awesome reviews too)!
And look how great the top looks with a pair of jeans and flats also!
It’s just a great top!
And I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this…BUT IT’S THIRTY TWO DOLLARS.
(I’m thinking it would also look great under a blazer. Right?)

I pulled together some more lace top options for you too.

So like I mentioned a second ago, the main agenda for my little online shopping trip was to get some make-up!
At the end of February, Nordstrom asked me if I would talk about the Lancome GIFT WITH PURCHASE promotion that was scheduled for mid-March, so I of course had to throw some Lancome products in my cart so I could check a couple of them out and review them for you.
First of, all I LOVE A GIFT WITH PURCHASE, so let me tell you what it is right now.
#gimmiefreestuffalldaylong
If you spend the $39.50, you can select from three deluxe 7 piece travel sets.
Your choose which set you want to receive depending on your skin care needs (do you want to HYDRATE? LIFT? or REPAIR?), and that is the promo code that you enter for your gift with purchase.
The different sets and promo codes follow:
HYDRATE
LIFT
or
REPAIR
Click HERE and scroll down to the bottom of the page to see what the different packages have to offer!
And if you spend spent a little more on Lancome products ($70 total), this lipstick duo will automatically be added to your cart!
- Color Design Lipcolor in Poodle Skirt and Natural Beauty (0.5 oz. each)
- Lipcolor travel case
So, here’s what I ordered for myself (I ordered several weeks when the Gift With Purchase wasn’t yet active) so I could give you my thoughts.
blush HERE (my color is “sheer amourose”) / lipstick HERE (my color is “fashion icon”) / lip lover lip gloss HERE (my color is 314 Casse Noisette)
eyeliner HERE (my color is gris rivoli) / mascara HERE (331 5 Star Reviews!!!)
I’m wearing all of this make-up above in the pictures of me in the lace top.
But I also whipped up a little graphic of me wearing the products.
And yes, I’m aware that I look like a bobble head in the following pics…
but what are you gonna do?!? 🙂
Pic 1:
I used my tried and true tinted moisturizer HERE (Groenland), applied with my Beauty Blender HERE (if you wear a liquid foundation and don’t have this little baby yet, you CRAY), with a light dusting of my favorite bronzer HERE (with the brush HERE). I’ve been using all 4 of these products since last April and still love them just as much as the first day I bought them!
Pic 2:
I added my eyeshadow (I use THIS Bobbi Brown shimmer brick), this Lancome eyeliner that I now adore, and this Lancome mascara.
I like the Lancome mascara just fine, and it certainly has TONS and TONS of amazing reviews (most people do FREAK over it), but I don’t feel like I can gush over it.
I do however feel like I can gush about the eyeliner!!!
I’ve been using gel eyeliner (applied with a brush) for over a year now, and using this pencil is just so much more simple. And I like that it gives me a kind of smudgy line.
Pic 3:
I added the Lancome lipstick and the Lancome lipgloss.
I am a huge fan of both the lipstick and the lipgloss.
They are super moisturizing, they stay put, and the colors are lovely.
Just click on what make-up product you are interested in:
Click HERE for Lancome’s Advanced Skin Corrector, which is the product that kicked up my interested the most.
LADIES.
I started reading the reviews, and I think I’m sold on this.
Do any of you have this product? If so, PLEASE LEAVE YOUR THOUGHTS!
Here is just one of the reviews:
I rarely write reviews, but I truly felt I had to share my experience with this product. Most of my skin care products are Lancome, and I truly love their products. However, there are many creams out there that claim to reduce pores and fade dark spots, yet they never even come close. Visionnaire, on the other hand, is a skin corrector, minimizes wrinkles and pores, and my skin feels incredible. In just 1 week, I can see the difference!!! I’m ecstatic with the results! Thank you Lancome!!!
Here are some other Lancome skin care products (all with FABULOUS reviews):
And again, remember the GIFT WITH PURCHASE offer:
When you spend over $70, the lipstick duo will automatically be added to your cart.
If you spend $39.50, you have one of 3 choices for your bonus gift.
Your choose which code you want to enter depending on what you need:
HYDRATE
LIFT
or
REPAIR
Again, click HERE and scroll down to the bottom of the page to see what the different packages have to offer (both pictures and text describing what is included)! Lots of great products!
FOR FREE!
Thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring the Lancome portion of this post!

I also ordered THESE Free People espadrilles.
I would definitely suggest sizing up 1/2 a size.
I’m normally a 6 or a 6 1/2 (most often a 6 1/2), and I actually ended up with the 7s!
Look at the pretty detail!
Love the lace.
Love the muted colors.
Love the rope.
Love the sole.
LOVE. IT. ALL.
And did I mention they are comfy?
CUZ THEY ARE.
They function like a TOM, except that they are cushier.
What? Cushier is totally a word.
***********************************************************
And finally I ordered THIS dress, but it was WAY too long for me (and I don’t want to bother getting it taken up), so it’s going back.
Still, I decided to show it because I thought some of you tall girls might be interested in it!
(Just fyi: I took this pic after a work out…hence the disheveled look.)
dress HERE / MUST HAVE jacket HERE
All right ladies!
That was my online haul (plus a couple of more things that weren’t worth showing AT ALL.)
The Pinterest recreations (like the one that I did on Monday with orange, leopard, and white) are definitely my favorite type of posts to do (and I think they are your favs too!), but I also have fun with posts like this where I just highlight some great items!
I hope they are helpful to you and that you get some good ideas from them also!
xoxo,
Sheaffer 🙂
p.s.
Remember it’s Triple Points Day girls.
I feel like we should have a piece of cake to celebrate the occasion.
Or maybe a taco.
Mix and Match Mama says
Some of my very favorite moments in life are spending time with you friend (whether we're at the mall or not). Love you!
And PS: You should wear that striped maxi dress like every day. Seriously, I want to see you in at 24/7. GORGEOUS! xoxo
Kathryn says
I'm thinking a taco con queso is in order to celebrate the start of triple points…okay maybe three tacos and queso, who am I kidding?

I love that striped maxi dress!! Do not send it back!
Erika Slaughter says

Thanks for the suggestions – love your posts as always 😉

Fun post! I have to say that I am in love w/ my blardigan…it's usually the first thing I put on when I get home from work. I'm kinda sad that it will soon be too warm to wear until next fall!
I got my coral stud earrings (BP) that were back ordered and I love them as much as the mint ones! Thanks for the tip on those! Have a super day!

I heard Nordstrom's wasn't doing the anniversary sale anymore!! Is this true??
Sheaffer says
Hi Abby! It's the Semi-Annual Clearance Sales that I think they are doing away with. The Anniversary Sale is definitely still ON!!!!!!! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂
Abby Clark Clark says
ohh thank goodness!! i was not excited when i thought it was the cancellation of the anniversary sale!! 🙂
Anonymous says
Sheaffer- do you know if Nordstrom offers double / triple points during that huge sale in July? That would be huge!!! Thx!!!
Sheaffer says
I should know the answer to this…but I don't. I know if you reach a certain level with your points, that you can pick at least 1 triple points today for yourself (and it doesn't have to be a mandated date). I'll look into this!
xoxo,
Sheaffer 🙂

Thanks, Sheaffer! I'll check back here in case you find any info out. OH, and I meant to say, I agree with everyone else- keep the maxi!! :)) Totally amazing!
Shanna says
I think if you shop early you get double points? I try to do most of my anniversary sale shopping during cardholder presale anyway, but it seems last year there was an extra reward. I could TOTALLY be wrong!
Charming Lucy says
Wait!! You can get a Nordstrom debit card?! Why didn't I know that?! We only have one credit card, but I can do a debit card!! Sign me up! I am styling that fabulous cardigan today on my blog -the one you had on your blog a few weeks ago. I am a Nordstrom junkie now – thanks(: My daughter's best friend just got a job as a design intern there. I am so excited for her!! And you need to get that dress hemmed and keep it – you look amazing in that!! Susan

I love Lancome products!!!! The eyeliner you mentioned is my favorite. Seriously love, love, love it. I also love Lancome lip glosses because they aren't sticky. Now off to look at lace tops and espadrilles!
P.S. That maxi dress looks amazing on you. You really should think about getting it hemmed.
Darcy says
This was fun! I think I love posts that have a little bit of everything in them – except now all I want to do is shop! 🙂
Andrea Clark says
I ordered the lace top in a medium as soon as you posted the link….still available! I have learned the hard way that waiting is not an option!

I believe Nordstrom will hem for free if you paid full price for an item, so get the dress!

I'm going to tell you my secret with the mascara. Use the CLS booster first. And I use the Hypnose mascara instead of the definicils. I regularly get comments about how amazing my eyelashes are.

Good tips Kelly! Thanks!!!!!!! xoxo, Sheaffer 🙂

Are you thinking about doing an Easter dress post?? I can't seem to find one I love! Thanks!

Love your blog! It makes me wish I didn't have to wear scrubs to work 🙁
Shanna says
Thanks! I ordered that lace shirt yesterday…as well as the Michael Kors pants. I had been waiting for triple points days! I WAS planning to order some Tory Burch sandals, but couldn't make the commitment to one pair and the other pair wasn't available in my size. Boo!
Chic Coastal Living says
Lace top is so cute. 🙂
Jennifer Hamilton says
I MUST order that dress!! I LIVE in maxi dresses in the summer! And I think you should totally KEEP it! You look amazing!
Wendy says
I have used both Lancôme (mostly for color items and eye cream) and Elizabeth Arden (for certain skincare products) since 1993. I tried the Visionnaire for a few months. I can't say I hated it, but can't say I loved it either. I didn't feel like it gave me any positive results. I have used EA's Prevage daily serum ever since it was introduced and absolutely love it! To be fair, both Visionnaire and Prevage go right into the skin (which is a must for me), but there were definite positive benefits of smoother skin, softer skin and reduction of fine lines after using the Prevage serum every night. I am not a fan of Prevage eye serum and night cream, but the day SPF lotion was pretty good. My favorite day lotion (and it is very cheap in comparison) is CeraVe. It goes right into the skin, leaves the skin feeling soft and has SPF 30 without that nasty sunscreen smell or texture.
